Here you have the opinions of real people who have information of the products and services of J-Lynn's Your Independent Grocer (Fish Shop) in Saskatchewan (Canada).
As of day the firm gets a score of 4.1 stars out of 5 and that rating has been based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is positive, and it is based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can think that the assessment is very credible. If many people have bothered to rate when they've done well with the service, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to place feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Fish Shop is classified in the category of Grocery store.
I also had an unpleasant experience whenever I went there in the morning on weekdays. The lady who works at the cashier in the morning always throws the products after scanning the barcode. She even threw receipts whenever I asked her. and as soon as she sees white people she always smiles and acts like someone who provides the service to the customer's satisfaction. I've seen her for about 2 years at this store. Whenever I see her I leave the store in a foul mood and feel terrible all day. And she totally ruined my day again today.
Only thoroughly enjoy going into the Independent grocer the service is always great and they have plenty of selection personally I like to get the ready-made salads and something else from the hot kitchen that they have there to bring home for lunch or for supper on days when I don't feel like cooking and healthy alternative your prices aren't bad the reasonable. The store is always clean they have friendly employees you never have to wait long in a checkout keep your eye out for 50% off deals they're worth your while
nice place and great selections of meat, baked goods, bread, veggies, dairy, etc and other stuff even health and wellness
Very fresh produce. Nice staff and clean store. Also, really amazing garlic basil instore made sausage.
Very handy location. Could have a greater selection. Watch expiry dates and quality of produce. Staff is fairly friendly.
This is a very reasonable locally owned grocery store in Saskatoon! This location is in a residential area that offers its customers all of the products that one would hope to locate at a grocery store without having to travel too far out of the way! Myself, I stop into this Independent grocery location to purchase perishables and organic foods that I only require standard sized quantities of! See, I do most of my bulk grocery shopping at Costco but because I like to create vibrant dishes I do remain with the need for this style of store. Most importantly - the owner and staff on duty at this location are always positive, welcoming, and will to assist!
There can be times when no tills are open. Too bad they don't have self checkout.
Not bad deals can't always find what you need
Good customer service and right priced grocery. I like that it is not as busy as Superstore. Can improve on some of the Loblaw bakery items. But IG may not have direct control on that. Better than stores nearby where it is expensive and have mediocre service. Recommended esp. with grocery prices expected to increase in 2022!
Store was very clean and well laid out. I didn't get my cashier's name but she was super-friendly and a bright spot in my day!
Decent selection, reasonable prices, PC Optimum points add up pretty quickly to get discounts on groceries at least once per month.
First impressions of the was that it is spacious and very well designed. The sections are labeled properly and well organized. The prices are average pice like every othe store with some deals here and there. Spacious clean isle very well …
A very nice place to shop with a good and easy layout. The staff is helpful and the desserts are so yummy. Staff will help out even if its not their normal area of working which is really nice as not all places have staff willing to work outside their section. Produce is in excellent quality and from what I saw during my visit things are decently priced.
Friendly staff and a great selection of products throughout their Produce, Bakery, Deli, Butcher Shop, and general grocery departments.
Stopped shopping there since they only sell reduced items through the Flash Food App. Very disappointed.
I enjoyed going to this grocery store particularly because it’s the closest to my house, but every time I pass by the deli, all I hear is screaming from one filipino lady. One of the cashiers told me her name was Elinda. She’s very rude and has THE WORST customer service. Avoid her! All the other ladies there are super kind and very helpful but she’s there every time I go and I HATE when I have to deal with her, once I asked her for an egg sandwich and she refused to do it, because “it wasn’t time for it” and “she didn’t have time” or when I wait to order she looks at me and doesn’t help me. What kind of customer service is that?… she would yell at the other girls to come and help me…. I think she might be a manager, because of the way she screaming at the other girls that work there and I just don’t feel like that’s appropriate either. I honestly don’t think that the owners really care of how Employees are treating other employees and most importantly customers. I’ve shopped independent for years and I can tell. I’ve complained in the past to the cashiers but it’s like telling deaf ears, at this point I don’t even think that The cashiers tell the managers the customer complaints… I’ve also met Jaylin before and she is absolutely wonderful! She’s the reason I continue to shop there! Everybody deserves respect and disrespect and horrible customer service should not be tolerated.
Great selection of goods
We find any of these Independent stores more expensive than any other grocery store in Saskatoon. We try them once and a while anyway, as we like to support local, but leave wishing we'd gone somewhere else.
Was very clean & well stocked!
Always great customer service with a wide variety of food choices
A huge improvement on Extra Foods. Cleaner, prettier, improved food selection. The produce is usually pretty darn good, prices are comparable to other grocery stores. I personally enjoy the PC brand food items! Lots of tasty and healthy options at a reasonable price. Also, no name brand rocks for staples like canned tomatoes, etc. I don't find the bakery to be amazing but it seems to be improving over time! Compete time pricing on deli meats.
I’ve never experienced a grocery store like this in my entire life. I no longer buy produce from this store, only packaged snacks now, since I do not trust anything else. There was plastic in my salad twice, bought daya dairy free cheese that was old so I had to return it and I’ve never had to return food in my life. I bought a box of quinoa only to find out it was expired and it wasn’t even on sale. My sister won’t buy produce from this place anymore either. She said that every time she goes here it is always a bad experience. As of lately, the customer service hasn’t been the greatest either. But it’s mostly the food .. it’s nasty ???? and this is saying a lot because I am not one to complain. This is the first time in my life I’ve written a bad review on a grocery store. Oh ya.. there was also rotten tomatoes on the 50%off produce shelf . I picked them up to look at the bottom of them and a bunch of liquid went all over the floor, my pants, and jacket.
Good grocery store ????
One of the best grocery stores in the city. Great produce quality, fresh baked goods, and a solid selection of products. They are also helping to reduce food waste by selling soon-to-expire foods at 30-50% off. Staff are usually friendly and speedy at checkout. The biggest downside is that it looks like, well, a basic grocery store; in need of a design update but overall easy to navigate.
Good food, good service, lots of parking.
J-Lynn's is the BEST! And a special shout-out to Michelle at customer service who really went the extra mile tonight. Always love this store!
Great place to shop loads of bakery and fresh options
Staff is super friendly! Always a good experience.
Cashier tried to charge us twice for one bag of salad. That’s all we went for and she scanned it twice and then argued that she didn’t. $12 for a bag of salad, I don’t think so. Screen showed it scanned twice.
This place arguably has the best produce in Saskatoon. It is always fresh and there's a large variety of fruits and vegetables from all different cultures. You have to pay for bags so be sure to bring your own. …
I do pickup at this location. The staff is friendly and they always get my order correct.
Always fast friendly service from all departments and a nice selection of fresh produce!
Great place! Friendly staff. Clean store. Butcher bakery and deli. Comparable to largee grocery chains!
Great grocer with pretty good selection. They are always well-staffed, and it’s easy to find someone to help. The staff are also very kid friendly. One of the employees has given my toddler balloons several times, and all of the folks at the checkout always make him feel special.
I had rated this store 5 stars before but today I had a very bitter experience with one of the sales representatives at the bakery department. My only regret is not getting her name before I left. That lady should not be handling anything that anyone should eat cos she is one impatient and arrogant woman with a very bad attitude. I wanted to think that it was because I'm dark skinned but no I think she is just arrogant naturally. If you guys can not talk to the people you employ about their attitude and the importance of customer service then there is no need to expect people to be coming there. I will never buy birthday cakes at independent store ever again as long as that woman is still there. Over all the other staff members are great.
Nice clean store didn't wait too long in line
The store is always clean and the staff are extremely helpful if you need to find something. The bakery items are always fresh and tasty, especially the bagels.
J lynn's have fresh food and well pri ced
Well managed store with efficient and courteous staff. I especially enjoy shopping for produce here. It is beautifully displayed! I also love their in-store baked flax and chia bread.
Great variety of groceries and helpful staff.
Its decent. Selection isnt as varied as the bigger places like Superstore. But they always have awesome deals on meat and I love the 50% enjoy tonight stickers. Usually dictates what mu groceries will be.
Common sense, not self appointed hall monitors, work at and run this location during covid. It is my new grocery store now.
Nice and great atmosphere The staff is courteous a d friendly Always shop there
Great food, flower and general service grocery has the quickest access to daily items. However if you are looking for more selection when it comes to certain items (ex. Candy) it may be better to head to coop grocer ( down the road). Otherwise great service and decent prices with weekly deals. It is a relatively clean location and there are great seasonal items (ex. Flowers in the spring).
The selection of products are good, but it is more expensive than the other Independent grocers.
I like it in the summer
Great pricing. Excellent quality products
Very nice grocery store. Clean. Well stocked. Good prices.
I was looking for a price-match because I thought they were the same chain as Superstore and this location was closer to my house, unfortunately they didn't match Superstore, but the staff were super friendly and I could tell they were doing what they were told to do but they did feel bad about not being able to price-match. Also, couldn't help noticing that some other places had better prices on other things like pizza and chips, so I was hoping to buy some things there, but didn't since prices were too high
Pricing and selection is on par with their competition, however their attention to cleanliness and COVID protocols has fallen off significantly in the last number of months.
Fastest curbside pickup I've had with the least substitutions.
Good service and have the items in sale. Friendly staff.
Great store! Great deli! Great variety!
I shopped at this store because of the 50% off stickers they used to have on near due date items. Now they went to an app that you have to pre-order all your. 50% off stuff. It was way better to see the salads etc in person before coming to buy them. Used the pink stickers and I will shop here religiously again!
Staff are rude, they charge for bags and the chicken ceaser salad i bought for ten bucks had no dressing. I was so disappointed when i looked through my salad to find no dressing. How do you not put ceasar dressing with a ceaser salad is just mind blowing. Update; staff are still rude, really sick of receiving dirty looks from the cashiers when paying. Picked up buns for sliders and the cashier looked at me like i ran over her dog or something. Really need to work on your costumer service skills. I will shop at Coop as i do not feel welcome at J- Lynns Independent.
Made a quick stop here to pick up some almond milk. Upon opening, the milk was frozen, chunky and curdled. (It still had over a month before expiration date) I believe this was due to it being improperly stored
Nice clean store, but a bit pricey.
Its much more expensive than other stores.good quality produce though.went there because i was passing by and it was convenient
Clean store. They have express pick up service. Awesome express pick up service, great staff. Good job ???? ???? ????
Extremely rude staff members, sad because I used to shop there frequently but I'll never return again.
