Bought a gun here. Still very unimpressed about the gun counter staff. Ticket? No ticket? Wait around look at all the guns..... try to make eye contact with one of the employees behind the gun counter............. then yet I was amazed holding my ticket I didn't need it.........

My nephew bought some replacement blades for his Eskimo auger which he also purchased at Cabellas Saskatoon and they went dull after 20 holes. He paid for them with gift cards and didn't keep the receipt (which is unlike him) went into the store and Stu the asset manager looked after us . CUDOS for his service. We went to Santas workshop, they have 3 crafts for the kids, plus a penguin plush toy while we waited for Santa to home back from feeding the reindeer! Santa definitely did not disappoint. He interacted so well with the kids that my one year old even sat on his lap for a minute or so without screaming.

I found a meat grinder on Cabela's website for $100 bucks off. I went into the store to purchase it to find out it wasn't on sale. I asked the sales associate if I could receive the discount as its on sale on their website and they said they could price match it. The store price matching their own website? Odd but I'll take it. Only place I'd get my fishing license at, staff is always friendly. Can't go in without coming out with a bag of fishing supplies, kid toys or clothing. Best place to buy hunting knives. If you buy a new fishing Reel, the staff will help out and find what you exactly want as well as help adding the new line to the reel. They have the best fishing selection in this city.

Initially I've had nothing but good experiences with Cabela's but today that changed. After looking for the product I wanted to purchase off the shelf I brought it to a till at the firearms desk and asked the gentleman working to help me find a magazine holster, the style they had weren't what I had in mind and that was perfectly fine so I told the employee that I'd like to purchase this magazine and he took me to the till. After getting to the till he immediately walked towards another couple and starting helping them with their questions while leaving me at the till ready to pay for my items. He continued to help them so in the meantime I asked another sales associate to help me complete my purchase. He informed me he was too busy working on a transport authorization and said I'd have to wait or go to the front till and pay. That would have been fine but I was also looking to purchase a new S&W 500 and I needed an associate to grab the weapon and bring it out so I could purchase it with my PAL, after a few minutes both sales associates start helping these other customers and they tell me I have to wait to complete my purchase even though he was helping me before them. My guess is that it didn't look like I planned on purchasing anything so they snuffed me off. Went to North Pro Sports and bought the firearm and the magazine I was looking for without an issue, and for cheaper which made my day. Will not be purchasing firearms or accessories through Cabela's again.

Great experience with great staff. Prices are average but they have their own lines of high quality clothing which I love. They have a great selection of gear for all outdoor sports and will order in anything quick. I wish they carried more 5.11 clothing but that is just being picky. Great place!

Went to check prices on some guns and I had a nervous type of salesman. It seemed I was wasting his time. Most won't wearing any masks which then made me nervous. Nervous Norman meet nervous Nellie. They had you sanitize at the front before going inside. I have a gripe about a certain older staff member who was tall and slender with grey white hair. I purchased some shells and I walked up to where he was and he looked at me then went on his cell phone to look at his messages. I stood there looking at him for at least..at least 4 minutes. He didn't move to help me. His cell phone was more important than helping a customer. Another sales associate came out from the back and looked at me, then looked at him and proceeded to help me. The older guy didn't budge...

Went to buy a hunting license had the boy tell me 4 times i couldnt get one unless my health card and drivers license matched up. My health card has like 3 renewal stickers so i get tt but with a drivers license i should be been good. So i went out to get my phone to call and change it then all of a sudden his supervisor says we can get one but next year it needs to be changed if i buy there. This was always their policy except i got the guy who acted like he knew it all while knowing nothing. Having attitude with it left a bad taste in my mouth. I personally will not go back as they have overly priced stuff and poor customer service in my experience.

I am like a kid in a candy store whenever I go to a Cabela's. I stopped here on my way through Saskatoon. Overall a very clean and organized store. Although it is a lot like any other Cabela's I found the staff were very helpful and friendly and it was easier to get around than some other stores.

I purchased several items and the checkout clerk missed the jacket I had placed on the checkout desk. At my vehicle I realized missed charging me for the jacket. I returned immediately to the same clerk with the jacket and td hi. he missed it. I payed for it and nor even a Thank-you for coming and back and paying. I guess Cabela's doesn't mind theft. I ordered a spotting scope online which was backordered 4 months ago, during a boxing day sale. A search of Cabela's website shows that other Cabela's stores in Canada have the product I ordered in stock, but the store in the city I am located in and the "online" store do not. Instead of filling my order with the item from another Cabela's store, Cabela's only advice is to continue to wait or that I could cancel the order. If you want prompt service, I would suggest looking to another retailer.

Everyone here is super friendly and helpful. We went in a few days ago to get our pet’s picture taken with Santa and the elves were beyond amazing. We were very appreciative of the complimentary photo! The Santa, however, was practically asleep in his chair. No greeting, no laughing— nothing. Would not recommend for those with children :(

My recent experience at the Saskatoon Cabela’s was very disappointing. The first clerk was very helpful. I showed him what I was looking for in the flyer and he took me to the gun department where there were three clerks. None of the three clerks were interested in helping me even though I was the only customer in the department. I showed them what I was looking for and the clerk immediately told me it was not in stock. They did not try to offer other guns which were on display, they just dismissed me. They suggested I look online and I asked if they would help with that seeing as I was already in the store. The clerk said it would be easier for me to do it my self and continued his conversation with his coworkers. I was prepared to spend over $600 and was willing to look at alternative items but they were clearly not interested in helping at all. In a time when retail stores are struggling during this pandemic, I would think that all customers and sales are important. That is clearly not the case at this location.

Why is it the the guys at the gun counter are so not-engaging. Not exactly all that interested in helping. Certainly dropped enough money here over the years. Not expecting back flips but a "can I help you" would be nice. That said, other departments seem friendly enough. And where are the mirrors in the clothes department!

I bought some shoes here. Excellent shoes. Cabela's always has what you're looking for and the quality is great - it is all expensive though. I think you pay more to shop at Cabela's. If you know what you want and you're familiar with where to go, you can always find better prices.
