I was so excited to find an African/ Caribbean store! However the customer service is such a disappointment. First off there’s no Caribbean stuff here. Next I was barely greeted when I entered, and the woman was very abrupt when I asked her anything. The store is a downright mess! Weaves and braiding hair is piled high in boxes and fall off when ever you walk through the narrow isles. 95% of the items in store have no prices which means you have to take each item to the till and ask the price. The place is dirty and unkempt and there is no visible organizational system. I saw a whole bunch of loaves of bread that were filled with green and white mold! Such a disappointment. However I could’ve possibly overlooked everything else if the customer service was good but the lady was so rude, stared at me the whole time and seemed annoyed when I asked her anything. So if you need anything, try safari market on 8th street instead. The owners are friendly and the store is neat and clean.

Pretty much the only source for nigerian food in Saskatoon. Overall ok for layout and offerings. Some things could be presented much better. As expected, certain things are overpriced. Staff is always helpful though one or two could do with some hygiene training (dont handle the rest of my groceries with the same gloved hands you handled raw meat with)

Nathan Clifton

This place is disgusting and should be shut down. Sells expired food.

Nice place to buy African glossaries and produce. But no price tag on some items which makes it difficult for me to do my shopping on the fly

We visited this store about a month ago and we decided to overlook the bad customer service and items being overpriced. With my pregnancy craving I decided to prepare the semovita I bought and to my surprise live insects were dancing in my semovita! I can’t imagine how long that semo had been in the store and they thought it was good to sell to people, it’s so unfair! Even the elubo we bought is nothing to write home about. Please be careful what you buy here!!! Items overpriced, no price label on items, so you have no idea how much you’re spending and of course quality! How do you support local businesses if they don’t care about your safety, all about the bottom line. I know I’m never shopping here again!

Most of the things on the shelves are expired. I urge you to check the expiring dates before making any purchase. Stuff are not friendly at all. They only smile to Nigerians. Please make room for improvement.

Neat place, very very expensive stuff with most not having price tag or name of the product on it(you have to ask for practically everything which is not convenient for the shop owner(s) ????‍♀️????‍♀️. The only cheerful person there was a customer like me so don't expect welcoming faces or conversation. Just shop and go.

So after my last review, I went back again and it was a different atmosphere. Met the owner and she was so pleasant and friendly. We chatted and she was very helpful. The cashier lady too was quite pleasant. Yesterday was the same experience. They have varieties from other African countries too.
