I was very disappointed with our fish order tonight. The fish was dry and the batter on it wasn’t very crispy. I also didn’t receive the receipt for the meal and thought it was in the bag when I got home. Needed it to split the bill with other people. I usually always have delicious food from there. Hoping this never happens again.

What is there to say besides a Sarnia classic? I've been going to the Wharf my whole life (I'm 26), and the food is always superb, the fries are to die for, the staff is so friendly, service is SO FAST, and the interior is totally nostalgic and nautical. I've checked out places in Toronto, on the East Coast, and nothing competes with the Wharf in Sarnia!

The fish is great! Chips are super soft on the inside and perfect on the outside. I'm not a fan of coleslaw but theirs is to die for. They have milkshakes that i've heard people rave about too. Super friendly staff too!

Chose Wharf because Purdy's was unfortunatly closed. Paid $60 for two two-piece fish and chips. The fish was annoyingly dense and chewy. The fries were bland, soggy but yet hard at the same time. Neither of us could finish our plates. Would not order again. Seeing as it's their speciality you would think it would be good. What a waste of money. Please note the service was good, just the product was horrible.

Great food! Helpful service! Family pack lightly battered with fries and slaw all wrapped the old fashioned way in unprinted newspaper stock and placed in a paper bag reducing the steaming effect plastic bags causes. Realize that tastes vary among people, but in my flavour palette this is one of the best coleslaws in town! ????

Can't tell the difference between haddock and halibut fish. Don't bother with the onion rings, it's just batter and likely from frozen. Baked potato was the usual butter and regular sour cream on the side. Nothing special. For an establishment that specializes in fish and chips, we weren't that blown away. For two adults approx. $37.00 with beers. Decor is good - nautical themed of course. Bud light and Canadian bottled beer was excellent...

I was so excited to go here for fish and chips but unfortunately I was really disappointed. I had the halibut here after everyone had told me how good it was and it was so beyond dry and over done. Absolutely no flavour and they charged me extra for coleslaw which I have never heard of at any fish and chip place I've gone to so far. Maybe they just forgot mine in the fryer that day but I'm not interested in going back to find out. I really wanted to like it.

Best fish and chips! Especially for take out! I come home and it's still extremely hot and not soggy! Including the French fries and onion rings. Been back a couple times. Highly recommend. However a bit pricey, but they do have specials on certain days to watch out for. Customer service is great as well.

After visiting a dying relative in hospital, our family needed nourishment. I researched the best restaurants in Sarnia and decided to try the Wharf Fish & Chips. I was met at every point of service with friendly and cheerful staff members who sincerely cared about providing excellent service. My mood lightened when the food arrived and I was so utterly impressed with the food quality: freshness; preparation; cleanliness (not oily - french fries were cooked to perfection in clean light oil); and the fish was cooked to its perfect level of doneness. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. The chef, Will, and his wife, Donna, comprise an excellent and very competent business team. Chef Will took time away from his duties to sit with our family and explain the origins of his Chef career and the birth of his restaurant. Kris, our waitress, had us laughing and wishing to stay longer! If I could rate this restaurant with more than 5 stars, I would!!

Went last night. (Good Friday) for our meal and we were very disappointed with the fish and fries. Both were very over cooked. The soup, rolls and coleslaw were excellent. Not like our other meals we have gotten in the past. We will try it again to see how the next trip is and go from there.

Had time for a quick lunch and a hankering for fish & chips. Not being familiar with Sarnia, I did a google search. The Sarnia Wharf Fish & Chips was quite close to our location. When I pulled found the site, I was hesitant. Not much curb appeal. I then noted that only take-out was available. Throwing caution to the wind, I pulled up to the take-out window. My order was taken and I was directed to park with the promise that my order would be brought out to me promptly. It was and I can say without reservation that this was the best halibut that I have ever eaten including that offered by Britain's famed outlets.
