Unfortunately the visit was not up to the standards of the majority of our group. The food was definitely overcooked: whether it was the Land and Sea or the fisherman's plate, including shrimp and salmon. The Land and Sea dish was taken for three. Although the price was adjusted accordingly, we had the impression that the quantity had not been: Normally, we would have had 3 items divided between us (chicken, lamb, Portuguese sausage, pork, squid, mussel, salmon, shrimp) but there didn't seem to be enough for everyone. Our friends noticed that our plate for 3 was identical to the quantity of the plate for 2. The only positive note, the dessert and the coffee. Not wanting to create unease with our friends, I called the restaurant when I got home. The owner's attitude didn't help matters at all: he started by asking me why we hadn't mentioned this thing to the waiter straight away and said they could have corrected the situation. We wanted to avoid turning our plates over in the kitchen because everyone knows that this kind of thing should be avoided at all costs. He also told me that they are not robots like the Rumba sweepers and that everything is done by hand. He then replied: We want to see you again, what do you want. I replied that it was not for me to decide. It seemed to me more on the defensive than in solution mode. He then added that the dishes chosen were what people took the most and that he did not understand and that he had been in the restaurant business for 20 years. We and our group of friends are used to eating in restaurants of various cultures and we never criticize anything but unfortunately I must admit that this experience was disastrous: the value for money is not there ! Much too expensive for what it is! (Original) Une première visite ratée: avec un groupe d'amis, nous sommes allés dans ce resto à la suggestion de l'un deux. Malheureusement la visite n'a pas été à la hauteur de la majorité de notre groupe. La nourriture était définitivement trop cuite: qu'il s'agisse du Terre et Mer ou de l'assiette du pêcheur en passant par les crevettes et le saumon. Le plat Terre et Mer a été pris pour trois. Bien que le prix ait été ajusté en conséquence, nous avons eu l'impression que la quantité ne l'avait pas été: Normalement, nous aurions eu 3 items répartis entre nous (poulet, agneau, saucisse portugaise, porc, calmar, moule, saumon, crevette) mais il ne semblait pas y avoir assez pour tout le monde. Nos amis ont remarqué que notre assiette pour 3 était identique à la quantité de l'assiette pour 2. Seule note positive, le dessert et le café. Ne voulant pas créer de malaise avec nos amis, j'ai téléphoné au restaurant à mon retour à la maison. L'attitude du propriétaire n'a en rien arrangé les choses: il a commencé par me demander pourquoi nous n'avions pas mentionné`tout de suite cette chose au serveur et dit qu'ils auraient pu corriger la situation. Nous voulions éviter de retourner nos assiettes en cuisine car tout le monde sait qu'il faut éviter ce genre de chose à tout prix. Il m'a aussi lancé qu'ils ne sont pas des robots comme les balayeuse Rumba et que tout est fait à la main. Il m'a alors répondu: Nous voulons vous revoir, que voulez vous. J'ai répondu que ce n'était pas à moi de décider. Il me semblait plus sur la défensive qu'en mode solution. Il a alors ajouté que les plats choisis étaient ce que les gens prenaient le plus et qu'il ne comprenait pas et qu'il était dans la restauration depuis 20 ans. Nous et notre groupe d'amis avons l'habitude de manger dans des restaurants de diverses cultures et jamais nous ne critiquons quoi que ce soit mais je dois malheureusement avouer que cette expérience ci fut désastreuse: le rapport qualité-prix n'y est pas! Beaucoup trop cher pour ce que c'est!

Viana Sol is a gem of a restaurant! The food is outstanding and the staff are amazing. We were a group of 25 teachers celebrating two retiring colleagues and were welcomed like family. Thank you for your hospitality, doing everything humanly possible to allow us to enjoy our evening worry free. When going out as a group, we are usually limited to a restricted menu in other restaurants. We appreciated the freedom to choose from the regular menu and everyone raved about how generous the portions were and how delicious the food was. The cabbage soup, shrimp appetizer, chicken, cod fish were all big favourites. The desserts alone make it worth another visit to Viana Sol. We will be back!

La sauce dans le fond de l'assiette goûtait juste le sel, pas le piri piri. Le plat rond en aluminium était mou et mal fermé, le jus de poulet avait coulé un peu dans le sac, heureusement en plastique, mais malheureusement pour l'environnement. Toujours mieux d'avoir des sacs en papier et des contenants bien scellés et réutilisables.
