went there to get spool filled with braided a month or so ago..today took line off spool she filled my spool 3\4 of the way with mono..i understand putting on backing but that was just a complete rip off she better be glad i didnt notice then especially with what she charged..i will never buy anything there again and will not recommend to anybody....go somewhere else and atleast get what your supposed to for your money.....had to give star to post or i wouldnt..

Amazing staff went in to Pete's today purchased my first baitcaster set up got a Fenwick medium action rod that worked really good for bass. Super helpful place for beginners . The young man that sold me rod and reel set up even took me out to the parking lot after my purchase to show me how to cast properly with a weight on the baitcaster . Not many places would show you how to use the product so you can catch fish . Love this store was impressed with service and will continue to go back again and again

Great fishing tackle shop! Huge selection of everything fishing. I went there to get three reels spooled as they usually offer this service, but due to the pandemic happening now, I was informed at the door that they cannot spool reels that you bring in, which I understand. However I was also there to buy a new reel and the owner, Angela? Was super helpful and knowledgeable on recommending a reel for my needs, she did not even attempt to get me to buy the most expensive one. Because I bought my new Okuma reel when I was there, she was able to spool my new one right out of box. While there, I just purchased some new line for my other reels and did it my self. Their prices are good and their customer service is outstanding. I will be back.

Cant wait to go back. The only drawback to the store is, it's only open limited hours. Kinda hard for the average working person to get there but the store is worth going to if you can find the time. Absolutely great value place, kind staff, and able to answer any question you can throw at them. Absolutely the place to shop for fishing stuff. The only downsides is they are somewhat limited on the variety of creature baits they have (primarily tubes, worms, craws) so you won't get some of the more interesting/nich plastics. Oh well. On the upside you can get tubes in bulk, and they have a great selection of terminal tackle, and great stuff for species such as carp and catfish that are typically ignored by more mainstream shops in the area. They also have a wide selection of reels and great fishing combos. My girlfriend picked up a combo to start fishing with me for $25. Can't beat it. You can buy line in bulk, and they often sell live bait if you want it. Heck they even have lures for panfishing. If your planning on going to bass pro, or some large store, stop here first. It'll be worth it.

There is no place like on the planet this bait shop! Angela (wife of the late Peter) is a down to earth fisherwoman who knows more about the regions fish happenings than she's willing to admit! Which is smart, keep some secrets to yourself. She won't steer you to expensive equipment if you're a beginner, the recommendations come from a place of trust and brand loyalty. She wants you to catch fish, the rest is up to you. Amazing lady, nice young staff who have a passion for fishing and are constantly learning from all the locals who regular the establishment for terminal tackle and specific items. If Angela doesn't have it, she'll get it. And cheaper then all the box stores on almost every single item. The Best!
