At a glance the prices seem high, but the portions are insane. You really get your money's worth. Food was delicious; only improvements I could suggest would be providing a house-made tarter sauce instead of the little packets. Keep in mind there isn't space to dine-in at this location.

We preordered 2 days in advance to pick up an meal. When we arrive to pick it up we are told to wait in line with all the the people who are placing orders and pick up. Complete disorganization of pick up and order. The person who took the order asked for a pick up time, the guy working today is rude about waiting in a line up of 30 people

We were looking forward to having fish here again after a very long time, but something has definitely changed. Here's the points: - no one will answer the phone if you try to call ahead. - the girl must have had the worst day of her life as she snapped out every question's answer, such as "Do you have any coleslaw?" "We don't have any!" - the fish batter was very greasy and the fish was on the dry side. We have no intention whatsoever to patronize this establishment ever again.

Gone downhill as we used to enjoy this place. They give you food that has sat from a customer that didn't show. We tried it tonight and found it cold but ate some of it.Then when you try calling for over 2 hours finally get an answer to be told " the other person did not show so we thought it would be ok to give you the food" - if it was hot this would be ok but it was cold. They offered 10% off next visit, less than their coupon value. Then the manager offered 15% which is easily obtained with a coupon. No real apology just a brush off sorry but we can't do anything else. I have read multiple reviews of bad experiences with customer service and now see why. A previous visit also left us underwhelmed but we thought let's give it one more try and will no longer order from there. St. Catharines

I typically order fish from here and it is decent if its not too busy. I ordered chicken fingers, fries and sm gravy to try something different at a nearly $16.00 cost and prepaid. I was told to wait outside for an estimated 20 min... I don't live far so I decided to wait at home in my A/C. I returned after 15 min to a 2 person lineup. The men had not ordered and within 5 min were both inside doing so, I am 7 months pregnant and was told to remain outside until they were done. I stood outside 15 more min and finally opened door to see if my order was ready.. Nobody was at counter and no orders were up on shelf... I had paid debit and even tipped $2 at around 720 and after 40 min returned home without order, explanation, or money.. I have yet to be refunded anything....

There was black hair about an inch long in my tartar sauce. The staff including Rachel, and Julie say one thing, and do the complete opposite to their customers. Poor service with customers, always changing the tartar sauce with zero consistency when it comes to products. The staff like to blame everyone else and not take responsibility. After asking for the owner to call the customer, the manager Julie from the wetland location berated myself on the phone. Accused myself of there packaging error. Its quite disturbing and disgusting how they treat there paying customers. Would never eat food or receive service from these locations.

Ordered through skip the dishes. They are repeatedly missing items ordered. I called to see if they could send the missing items out and they argued that they had sent everything I offered to take a picture of what was in the bag to prove that they didn't and then got told to take it up with skip because it wasn't their problem. In my opinion if you make and package then hand a closed bag to the driver it is your problem when food is missing. The food is good when you actually get it .

Delicious authentic fish n chips! Very reasonable prices. It's a small, walk-in takeout place. Can get busy but staff moves quickly, so there isn't a long wait.... and it's worth it. The staff is very hard-working, extremely polite and friendly. Always smiling. :) With 40+ years of being an international seafood broker, this passes my dad's quality test as good, well-prepared quality fish.

Decent fish and chips (batter is always a bit bland it seems) but good portion sizes... awesome selection, awesome prices. The tartar sauce on the other hand... not so much. That pre packaged stuff was disgusting. Pretty much just mayo/thousand island mixture. Perhaps simple to make home made sauce in the future? Other than that... great place! (a lil more seasoning in the fish batter would go a long way)

They were extremely busy, and our food was still piping hot by the time we got it home. Huge portions, and so so good, right down to the gravy and coleslaw!

First time ordering from this establishment and I will definitely order from them again. The portion size is crazy... There are way to many fries :P the fish size was on the smaller side, but truthfully it was more than enough! The only issue I had, was only half of the one piece of fish was battered-but it wasn't that big of the deal.. the one and only thing I absolutely did NOT like was the tarter sauce.. It was basically thousand island dressing. However, that's an easy fix- just buy my own before hand.. I recommend this place for sure. Its the best out of all the places I have tried in the area!!

I ordered the Halibut and the Haddock fish and chips which were both delicious though not clearly marked on the boxes. The fries are fantastic and the gravy was nostalic, it tastes like Highschool/ Towers gravy.

Second time we have ordered from the Pelham road location. We always ask for lemon with our fish and chips. Today it was brought out to my truck and I specifically asked if there was lemon in the bag and was told yes. Again get home and no lemon. Called to complain and was told I could drive back and they would give us lemon, but the distance to drive back isn't worth the cost of gas. So check yourself because they will lie to your face.

Horrible is all I got to say, I ordered 2 poutine's one large one small, the small poutine I got was perfect on the other hand the large, i payed for extra cheese an gravy there was pretty much no cheese no gravy an it wasn't even a large it was the same size as the small not only did I pay extra for something I didn't get, I called back to complain they said they were super busy I'm sorry I meesed it up then said I'm going to have to call the manger to see what we can do I get a call back 20 mins latter after not touching the food ,they told me that's what you got served we can't do anything about it email the shop, I've been going here for 8 year I knew the old owner the new one is a joke can't even replace or fix the poutine I got an payed extra for this is not the first time I received food like this but it is the first time I complained you just lost a few customers

First of all the staff where very very friendly and helpful. But our two orders of Haddock and Chips were just plain greasy. So greasy, we couldn't finish a third of the order. So we brought the leftovers home for the dogs, and they wouldn't eat it...not a bite. So I will not be going back there anytime soon.

I don't know if they sold this place. I used to love their fish and chips. I will never go back. They're not home cut fries anymore they're frozen. And the fish isn't even close to the same fish. The picture on the website is not the kind of fish you will be receiving any more from this place. Now you get a little square piece of fish that tastes a lot like nothing. The only thing you can taste is the thin coating of batter. I could have gotten better fish and chips from the superstore in the Frozen aisle.

Ordered fish and chips plus through Skip the Dishes. Arrived with NO CHIPS. Called the restaurant, they said they were too busy to help me and I had to go through skip the dishes. Skip the Dishes would not send someone back to pick up the chips that were not put in my bag. Dinner was Ruined!! The fish was very good though, would have been great if someone had cared to actually solve the situation. Next time I will drive there and check the order is correct before I leave as the food is always good even if the staff are overworked and likely underpaid.

Ordered from skip less than an hour ago, it arrived hot and delicious and I mucked it. Always been weary about delivery and deep fried foods but this experience will have my family coming back for more. The halibut was crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside and full of flavour. Cheers to the cooks!

I really dont know what to say.....a year ago this place was a 4 to 5 star place...just got a 2 piece cod and chips and onion rings everything was over cooked. Fish was dry and batter hard....I dont think I'll be back. Fantastic. Best fish and chips I've had for a long time. I'll be visiting more often. Update a year later....still good but over the last few months the chips quality and amount seems to differ. I use to have leftovers on the 3 piece cod and chips but now just really leftover fish and not chips. Thanks

Tried Beamsville for first time the other night. Definitely won't be my last!!! Its was soooooo good!! Being my first time I got the two piece. Wow....they don't scrimp on serving size!! I started off with the intention of saving some for the next day (as I hear warmed in the oven the next day on a fresh bun is devine!!!)....but I couldn't stop eating!!! Despite being meaty pieces of fish they were light, thanks to not being too heavily battered!!! The fries were a very nice as well...soft texture to compliment the crispy fish batter exterior!! I'm looking forward to my next rendezvous with Beamsville!!

I WISH the prices reflected a better quality fish, and fresh cut chips. Include an In house Cole slaw, lemon wedge, and in house tartar sauce but it actually has the opposite. And please adhere to touching your face and handling food, and cash area. During covid. The only good thing I liked about this restaurant was it's hours of operation.

First time ordering from this establishment. Fish and chips were not bad but was a little hesitant to eat it after watching them prepare it. All three employees were touching your food with no gloves????. The two female employees had shoulder length hair with no hair nets covered in sweat and the male employee had a winter toque on and was constantly touching his hair. ????The same girl that prepared my food was also taking the cash and did not wash her hands after doing so. She then proceeded to prepare more orders. I think a lesson in food safety prep and handling is in order here!!!
