Tasty, fresh food and lovely, prompt, kind service! Will eat here again for sure!

Absolutely terrible service. Waited for 35 minutes to recieve an order because i am a food courier. Told them i would never eat there just because of that. and waitress said "oh thats fine ????" and smiled. please never order from here its not worth your time to get 1 meal. Oh yeah and the order i was waiting for was sitting in the back for how long. Thanks for reading this wacked review... ???????? UPDATED: They responded to me and said "If you dont remove this review you will be reported to your courier company. Thank you!" Speaks VOLUMES and shows the lack of professionalism. PICTURE BELOW.

You can hear the ocean! Staff are friendly, happy, and efficient. Food is spot on comparing to menus 5000km east. Portions are generous and it won't break the bank. If it sounds like we enjoyed our lunch... let me tell you I was looking for the 6 out of 5 star button. This place is perfect.... AND they carry a good supply of East Coast Grocery products not easily obtainable in Alberta.

My wife and I go here approximately once a month. Just love the food. The whole atmosphere is great at this establishment. If your in to mood for fish & home fries, you will be hard pressed to find anything as good as this place. I also get some of my Newfoundland favorite snacks here as well. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Very nice atmosphere and decor. Excellent fish, particularly the halibut. Fries are very good. Coleslaw is finely chopped with a hint of what tastes like horse radish, making it very good. My new fish restaurant. Also other fare that is not seafood but rather uniquely and quirkly atlantic Canada creations. Good service and clean restaurant. Well recommended.

We went for a take out order of fish and chips. Friendly waitress and reasonable wait time but the meal was very disappointing. We'd heard good things about A K , unfortunately on this visit, our first, the experience wasn't great. The fish was small in size and appeared to be pre- formed, the chips were small and soggy, and even the coleslaw was more runny than crunchy.. Very sorry to be negative about the place, but we were at Brits today for the same meal and the difference was like night and day, for basically the same price.

Benjamin Ronson

Excellent fish and chips. Love the ambiance and the genuine east coast foodstuffs available too. I bought Jam Jams!

dillon gurel

This was absolutely awesome! Great food great service, great people great experience can't wait to go back.

You have to go here if you’re from the east coast! Or even if you’re not, it’s for sure the best fish & chips around. I’m from NB originally, & it tastes exactly like Deluxe Fish & Chips!! The staff are fantastic, & they have so many cute trinkets from the maritimes. Highly recommend!

Eden Arthur

Loved this place, I ate the clam chowder and my family had fish and chips. Everything was very tasty, service was fast, and the waitress (I forget her name, sorry) was super personable and even started joking around with my family. It felt like I was visiting family and this was my first experience here. Go check it out!

Joel Morton

These are NOT clam STRIPS as listed on the menu These are clam BITES, and they're disgusting and taste nothing like actual clam strips. Google the difference if you don't believe me. Everything else was sitting in puddles of grease and looked so un-appetizing I threw it all in the garbage. Never again.

Sarah Mason

Love the fish and chips. Recommend the seafood platter. The store is well stocked with goodies from the Maritimes. Staff are polite and the service is speedy and the atmosphere is welcoming.

Kenn Yurchuk Squealstik Guitars

Not an eastern Canada food fan but love a great fish and chips which brought us to this place. It was OK with great service. I guess I don't like cod much. Also the cod was heavily fried to a dark golden color which usually means that the oil may need changing very soon. All and all may take my wife there to get her opinion.

Bex Prine

So good! Huge portion sizes, super friendly service. Sorry, forgot to take food pics!

Back home taste in an out west city. Their fish is bang on, which is great considering they're in a landlocked province!

Cassie Cartmell

I always have the platter, cod, shrimp and scallops. The veggies are so tasty and the mashed potatoes are real potatoes not the packet mash. Staff are always so friendly. I'm from England and can appreciate good battered fish and this is the best place in edmonton in my opinion.

Tidings M

I was excited to try out the fish and chips here, but the food fell short of adequate - I kept thinking this is fish and chips my expectations weren't that high to begin with and you eclipsed them over a cliff. The service was appalling - had to wait 10 minutes for a glass of water and I was the only other table there. I'd give this place a hard pass.

Denise Norman

Some of the best Newfie food I've had in the almost 8 years that I've lived in Alberta. Can't wait to go back!

Mark Blemings

I like this place. We've ate at many other east coast style fish & chips places and I think this is the best one. If you're feeling like deep fry, check this place out!

Irene Gaudet

Great fish and chips. Wonderful staff with Atlantic Canada hospitality.

Robyn Morales

Family friendly environment. $$ good food

Ghostie

My boyfriend and I went here and we love it. It was a full house with only 2 servers and they smashed it. Food was delicious, and the service was some of the best I've had in a long time. It's a very cozy environment, and they have old school treats and food for sale. Even cute little trinkets, all with that very Atlantic feeling! Hands down, some of the best fish and chips we've ever had. People may complain about food wait times, but home cooked food takes longer then frozen. In a full house, we expected to wait 30 minutes at least for our food, and that's how long it took. Totally acceptable when everything doesn't come in a bag or out of a can. If I could give 10 stars, I would!

Kevin Secord

Great food at a reasonable price. Will definitely be going back!

Pretty decent fish and chips. Batter was perfectly crisp and not too heavy. Fries were nice as well, I had them "dressed" and it was ok. Maybe not worth the upgrade for the price but it was something new to me. I plan to eat here again.

Tom King

We had take out from Atlantic Kitchen last Thursday and as other fish shops the food is a little pricey but it was pretty good over all. We phoned the order in and the lady who took our order was helpful and had the food ready as were were told. The best way to eat this food is in restaurant as it does not cool down. The quantities were good and the fish pieces while not large were a reasonable size. I did forget to ask for malt vinegar and was not asked so that is a must for the next visit. The Atlantic Kitchen is worth visiting for sure!

Margareth Bergamin

The best fish and chips that l've had in a long time. The batter is delicious and the fries are homemade. The coleslaw is unbelievable tasty. The fish cakes are so good that l want drop by again during the week just to have it. Price is excellent and staff was very professional. It is difficult to go back to Joey's after eating here.

Experienced a terrific meal here just last night. My husband had the seafood platter and said it was fantastic, shrimp being the most tender he has ever had and the hand made fries he said were delicious. I am not a seafood eater so opted for their french dip. The only reason I couldn't give them five stars is because the au jus was very very salty and I didn't use much and the caesar salad was pretty strong garlic wise. The beef in the sandwich was thick and delicious and the bread was fresh. Lineup was out the door as we were leaving and that is always a good sign. Service was also outstanding, they have some really good staff attentive and polite, another rare occurrence these days. We will be going back probably many times. ????????????????????

eileen leblanc

Omg. Omg. Amazing food and service. Worth taking a trip.

Tony Stabile

I am not a huge fan of fish and don’t eat it to often. But the fish from this place changed my mind. Although the fish is Fantastic, the fries are on the weak side. They taste old and heated up, despite this, the staff were great. We told them we didn’t care for the fries and they took of one of the meals on the bill. In conclusion this place is great and I am willing to give it another try and so should you!

Robb Hartlen

Little taste of home for sure!! Great proteins, amazing service and the price didn't hold the sticker shock I expected! This place is great for anyone wanting an amazing meal, but if you're from the east coast and missing home (*raises hand*) this place just enough to remind you of back east! (Side note, it's enjoyable to be at a place that realised that the east coast isn't Quebec!) Definitely check this place out! You won't be disappointed!

Allison Wilson

My husband and I usually love coming here but today was a miss. The fries were old, the cod tongues and scallops overcooked and the gravy was flat out awful. I'm hoping this was just a bad night because this place makes my Newfie husband feel a little closer to home. Service was friendly as usual.

chris corrigan

Had an array of seafood and alot of island items u can buy inside the restaurant almost like a newfie store, the food was great and they had something called a newfie mess poutine that my boss got and that was the best looking poutine ive ever seen

Jon Riedel

This place is Amazing! A true hidden gem. Lighting fast service and the meal is off the chain. (You get what you pay for) if your looking for real fish and chips go to Atlantic kitchen on st.albert trail.

Ty Hunt

Food tastes great, wish more cold plates were made frequently.

Tonya Layden

It was an amzing atmosphere, great food amazing service. Nice place to celebrate our birthdays. The store had all the goodies i get s3nt from back home. Will be going back again.

Vignesh Gopal Raja

Amazing fish and chips. Good customer service. Nice and cozy interior. Will defenitely visit again!

John Brass

First time I had fish and chips from here and very disappointing. Fish was small and looked like a processed battered fish not fresh. Chips were overcooked, old and dry. I am from England and this is no where near the same quality as you would get there. Chips should be light and fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside. Batter should be light and golden and fish should be a lot bigger and flakey inside. I won't be ordering from here again.

Canadianjay

This was a delightful lunch stop. The fish(cod) and chips were terrific. Not too much batter. The chips were homemade. The cherry pie was made in house...another excellent choice. The staff is delightful and helpful. If you drive a car you probably should use the back entry to avoid bottoming out on the ice. That is the one lost star...

Lorraine Leblanc

Awesome services , Awesome staff , Awesome food!! fish & chips super good ????+ I will recommend to everyone ????

Nvk 138

Service was slow but food was really really good! Awesome fish and chips. Not to expensive either especially for the amount of food you get

Matthew Johnston

Amazing food and great staff, it's as close to home as I can get here in Alberta.

Diane Peppard

Was really looking forward to trying this place out. Heard raving reviews actually. Their portions are very good. Maybe too good lol! Unfortunately I had to picki the fish out of the batter as the batter was not crispy enough for me and just seemed undercooked. I will probably revisit to give a second chance. ????

Timera Saffin

The food was ok and the service was terrible, definitely won't go back.

brad carter

Service and food are incredible!!! Born and raised in Nova Scotia, this place is comfort food on steroids!!

Dwayne McDonald

Great first visit. Reminded me of home on the rock. Food and service was fantastic but I never heeded a warning that that the food portions are big. Had to take half home. Not a bad problem to have.

Joe Petitpas

A definite taste of maritime seafood!! A must stop for any appetite!!

Samantha Simpson

We visited the Atlantic Kitchen twice in July. The fist time we had hamburgers and chips and gravy. The burgers were made like the ones we had growing up. Tasty , we had the mushroom and Swiss burgers. Very filling , great value. I highly recommended this restaurant.

Kelly Eigner

It was very expensive for what you get. Party of 3 cost us over $100. The food was ok, but not worth the price. Server was very friendly.

Gary Wedge

Everything that I ordered tasted quite good, the only issue I had was a little thick on the batter. It took away from the great tasting fish and shrimps but other than that everything was quite good. The service was good, the place was clean and everybody in there seems happy.

Nathaniel L

Food is ok, server was ok... 3 stars is for different selection of fish and chip available

My husband and I are here right now. Very busy fast service very nice waitress. Fish and chips were very good. This was special to us two birthdays and annverisery of 17 years 70 yrs old. Seniors discount also all yu have to do is tell the waiter.

Cody Kennedy

Wow... First off thank you to our wonderful skip driver and I am so sorry you had to deal with the attitude you received. Over cooked food, highly saturated in grease and bland on top of it. Also l, telling people to take business elsewhere if they don't like the wait or service will definately put a bad taste in your mouth (besides the food). Well yes we will happily take out business elsewhere and help others to avoid the same headache.

Ashley D

I have no idea what the people that posted negative reviews experienced. This place serves homemade soup, pies, burgers, fries and battered fish. Everything is made from scratch. Had clam chowder, liver and onions with fries, cheese burger with fries and Blueberry pie for dessert . The food was excellent and there was lots of it. By St. Albert standards the prices are pretty reasonable. They have gluten friendly options, a wide menu selection, including old favourites like liver and onions as well as Bologna steak. They serve breakfast till noon and have a seniors price/size for those over 60. Service was east coast friendly and they have a neat gift shop with east coast hard to get food and knick knacks. Definitely coming back here.

AMAZING! The service was A+. The food was incredible. We both ordered Haddock and chips, with a beer. ( I only add that because we were not sure if they serve beer...they do in a frosty mug) The food was soooo good. It was a huge portion. I read someone saying it was small? They are crazy. I ordered a two piece and between the massive pile of fresh cut fries and the two huge pieces, I could not finish it. Crispy, fresh and delicious. Best fish and chips I have had since I moved from Victoria. Delicious. Will be a regular.

Ian Brooke

Food is excellent. Fish was nice and white, good batter, good chips everything seems cooked to order and not re-heated like many other fish&chip places around Edmonton. Service is quick and very friendly. The only disappointment was the tartar sauce which tasted more like British Salad Cream, I didn't like it at all although my wife did. First class, I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone, we will definitely be going again soon.

Gina Fowler

It's been a while since I ate at a restaurant, so when my girlfriends wanted to meet for fish and chips I recommended the Atlantic Kitchen. My friends enjoyed their food order so much this is now our goto place for our favourite food....fish and chips!!

Donna Matthews

This was my second visit here and won't be my last! Food is always amazing!

Mark K

Dinner was amazing, all 4 of our dinners came out fresh and piping hot, all at the same time. Ambience was nice and calming, great food great times a must to go back.. everything was clean and fresh, waitress was fantastic. Good variety of foods, burgers fries fish seafood etc something for everyone even if you dont like seafood go give it a try.

Bridget Roland

Food was delicious. We will be back. The girls were really nice and friendly.

Steven Wells

Best fish and chips in the city. Friendly service. Will keep visiting for fish and chips cravings.

Shelley Williams

First time having take out from here. Food was delicious. Will definitely have the cod and chips again. Next time we might even dine in. Loved the cole slaw!

Blaine LeRoy

Love the food, but tried to come in tonight and even though it says they are open until 8 online abs on the sign on the door, they were closed at 7:20 when we arrived

D. Massey

Actually more like a 3.5. Good food, friendly service. Not terribly price-friendly. This being said, my wife and I will go back, the kids can stay at home and make spaghetti!

Matthew Stonhouse

Great staff. Great food. A taste of the east coast indeed.

Darrin Semple

Really good fish and chips and other east coast specialties! Shared the fried pepperoni and I had the fried clam dinner and the person I was with had haddock and chips. All was very Good, will return!
