Friendly staff member who approached me after attending a customer. Helped me find what I was looking for and did a great job on my car tag. Not giving this five out of 5 simply because you had 4 or so cat collars and what seems like a hundred dog collars.

Won't be back. I used to shop here regularly and was doing a standing order for cat food. You just lost a customer and I'll be spreading the word. Let's pick a public fight with a customer who asked a simple question. The correct response was "No, we don't carry that brand. Can we help you find a substitute" But instead the new owner decides to blast the brand we're inquiring about. Stellar customer service and a fantastic way to run your business.

We used to love coming here to get our dogs nail clipped. We had a bad experience years ago here where a groomer who made my dog snap at him. She NEVER does that and then he got mad at us for it. He was the one who was man handling her roughly. Fortunately he stopped working there. Again we had good experiences. Then just before the lock down I brought my 11 year old dog who has arthritis there to get her nails cut. The groomer may have had a tough day and I did come in at the end of her shift, but if she didn't want to do it, she could have turned me away. But instead I'm watching my dog yelp and whimper and try to run away from her. The groomer pulled on her bad leg. I did not appreciate this and will not be back. Yes the owners tried to apologize for the experience and said that I should have mentioned she has arthritis, but I never had to do that before. I found that over the last year with the renovations and the price increases that the service has gone down. The one day the one staff member had her dog there and he was popping his head out to say hi, so naturally at a pet store you think you could pet the dog. She came up to us and was very rude and said please don't touch my dog. We stopped coming here for now. Maybe in the future we will try again. Update 2 years later and we still have not been back found an excellent groomer who is amazing with both my dogs. No need to go back here again. Cowtown also has better food and service with reasonable prices.

Store: Nice store okay prices. Grooming services: Good prices and do an okay job. However I find they are very slow and do not know how to estimate times. For example... I book an appointment at 11 for a quick trim and it takes 45 minutes. I have a shih tzu. I understand they might be busy but don't tell me it'll take 20 to 30 minutes.

The owner is incredibly stubborn. He will refuse the numbers laid out right in front of him, even after calling his accountant in who also proved him wrong for us. Prices aren't great in the first place, there are much better pet stores. Edit after business responded to review: it also took 2 hours to resolve a 30-second explanation and I won't accept the apology of someone who literally called the cops on customers (myself) who wouldn't let him wrongfully withhold owed money.

Friendly, clean place with many staff that are insightful. They always have a variety of really high quality dog food, toys and many other things. I can quickly get what I need and get out in a timely fashion, and with an enjoyable experience as well. I have yet to be disappointed here!

Took my dog in for a Nail trim. However saw the groomer slap my dog on the nose. No justification for the reprimanding of my dog. My dog was merely sniffing the clippers. Hitting my dog is not okay in any instant. Also when I questioned the blood on the floor wondering if it was from my dogs nails. The nail tech informed me that multiple dogs bleed from nail trims. Which upset me, a proper nail trim would not include bleeding.

Was given the greatest best advice what to buy and try So happy i came here, cause everything worked on my dog. Thanks for the great advice . Thank you so much for the free trial of dog food as well. Took my dog this morning for a nail clipping- Sept 25/2020. Had great friendly service, friendly staff. The groomer was very gentle . So glad I choose this place. Thanks again.

Feb 16/19. I called at 5:17pm to see if they had gold fish and they said yes so I drove across the city and got there around 5:35 pm. Found the gold fish I wanted so I asked the lady to help me. She said NO I cannot sell you the fish as it’s after 5pm. She said they get robbed between 5 & 6 so she can’t sell them to me! The two ladies were very rude to me. They should have mentioned that they do not sell fish after 5 when I called. I refuse to return to that store. I do not recommend this place of business.

Worst experience ever! Staff yelling and swearing at each other while customers are in the store. What a terrible environment for those working or shopping there. I just wanted to leave, but felt trapped in the dog food isle to wait for the fight to end. I will never shop there again! No one should be talked to that way!

Update- 5/30/21 Made another appointment with a different groomer and saw Sheena this time. Difference of night and day. Cut was amazing and I’m glad I gave them a second chance. Recently relocated back to Regina and was in need of a groomer. Pet Depot is close by and looked at all the great reviews. Brought my soon to be 9 year old Bichon Frise / Japanese Chin in for a much needed cut. Groomer was friendly and the check in was seamless and quick. Dallas has been getting groomed 4X a year now for almost 9 years, that's 32 appointments to compare to. Sadly this was the worse grooming experience I've had. Average cut is 75 - 90 minutes. This session was just over 2 hours. I believe she was groomed with scissors as her length is inconsistent throughout her body. Basically looks like I cut it myself. Previous groomer uses clippers with guard for a consistent length. Disappointing as the majority of all reviews have been positive. Would have given one star based on the service paid for but like previously stated the groomer was friendly and professional.

I do really enjoy this pet store. They carry some unique & specialty items that can be harder to come by. The staff are always friendly & very knowledgeable which is much appreciated. My only issue is the prices. The exact same box of treats I need for my senior dog were 12$ more here than the regular price at another pet store I frequent, 17$ including the other store's current sale. However, overall, I would still recommend Pet Depot.

The last 2 times my dogs have gone for nail trims the groomers yelled, swore and were very rough with my dogs. I understand that they move around and do not make it easy for the groomer, but this is why I pay for this service. I think it's very unprofessional as the entire store can hear the yelling and the dogs crying and no one seems to care. For this reason I have stopped shopping at this pet store all together.

PLEASE DO NOT! DO NOT! DO NOT! take your your family pet to this place for a grooming... As I'm watching the groomer rough up my elderly 15 yr old 10 pound dog making her whimper ,Yelp and pull away in fright the owner tries to stand in between me and the window so I cant see what's going on... He continues to tell me the reason is because she has very dirty eyes... Dah no kidding that's why she is at the groomer! So after going over 2 hrs on the estimated time the bill was just under $70 for a terrible job

They discriminate against dog breeds, and are very rough handling the animals during nail trims. I gave multiple chances, and after 3 attempts and each time they tossed my dog around, I will not be returning.

First off it's the ONLY place in Regina that will cut my guinea pigs nails. However that doesnt take away from the fact that the lady who does my piggies nails is AMAZING!!! She is so kind and patient with my animals and they arent easy lol. Thanks guys!

While the visit to the store cannot be undone, the sincere apology and prompt action to resolve the problem is worth recognizing. I appreciate the time you took to email me regarding this. Best wishes. ******************************** I was able to purchase the item I was looking for however the customer service and the lack of Covid-19 precautions is the reason for the 2 star rating. The employee that assisted my daughter and I used offensive language and scoffed at my daughters peanut allergy as well as my celiac when discussing treat and toy options. I have only ever had positive experiences at this store in the past so this was a rather dissapointing visit.

Love this store. Just a tip, I would suggest cleaning the rat cages more daily. They were quite smelly when I was in and it can affect the rats respiratory system and cause future issues such as URIs (upper respiratory infections).

This store has a large inventory for a smaller store. I was searching for a tough chew toy that squeaks a lot and would last longer than a day. Thanks to the very helpful and friendly staff at Pet Depot, I was quickly helped and I think my purchase is a solid one. When you go, ask for Alex. She is AWESOME!
