For anyone in Red Deer who's looking for someone who knows a thing or two about lizards, dragons, snakes, and other pets of the lake, please check this place out! They have years of experience working in Calgary and have recently from what I understand opened up shop here, their place has a really great array of just awesome animals. I don't remember his name, I think it might be Cody, but he knows a lot so can answer most questions for less experienced owners. He was able to refer me to some people that might have more answers for my specific breed, so looking forward to speaking to them. He unfortunately didn't have an answer to the specific question about where the nearest vet with herpetological experience would be, but he did know that there was one in Calgary. Perhaps that one is the closest one, hard to say. But that is the only thing at all that left new you disappointed. I may actually even pick up one of the water dragons from there, beautiful specimens. Like I said, check it out. If you are an enthusiast or even just curious or interested, these will be the guys you want to talk to.

Always a pleasure dealing with CodyJoe and Tori. Not only is there shop I would say in the top teir of shops in Alberta (for selection, cleanliness, etc) they are extremely professional and approachable. I've yet to meet a kinder or sweeter man in this hobby. Thank you for all you do. From the trips to bring stuff into town to the advice and even the respect on quotes for commission work. Five stars is not enough for this couple or this place. Add in their pitty that they bring to the shop and it's always a good time visiting. Thank you for the gold standard in all you do.

I cannot recommend this place enough. We were looking to buy a corn snake for my son after months and months of saving and researching we were finally ready to buy and we could not find one anywhere (maybe timing, I'm not sure) we went to the Reptile Shop to see what they had and discuss starter snakes and they were amazing. They answered all of my 8 year olds and my questions, showed him a few different starter snakes and explained each one and we decided to get a ball python. They didn't just sell us the snake but have been amazing answering all of my questions for these past few months after my purchase. Everything from feeding questions to when she had a bad shed I sent a message about it and he even let us bring the snake there and he removed the eye caps for us. Free of charge. They never have made me feel stupid (which was probably justified-haha) and are always incredibly patient and knowledgeable. AMAZING service! Not just sales but after care!

Sylvan Lakers this is the best place to go since the one Pet store in town is minimal for reptile /amphibian supplies. WAY better customer service than any other box pet store in Red Deer. Great selection of essentials and if they don't have it in stock they will put you on an order list and call you when the product is in. I could go on and on about how great their shop is.
