Here you have the information of real people like you who purchase the services and products of Wasabi Sushi Wonton House (Fish Shop) in the territory of Prince George (Canada).
At the moment this firm has a score of 4.5 out of 5 and that rating has been based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that it reaches an reviews average is practically the highest, and it's based on a very high number of opinions, so we may think that the evaluation is very accurate. If many people have bothered to leave their score when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to place reviews when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Fish Shop is classified in the category of Japanese restaurant.
Excellent and personable service, food was excellent with a lot of choices. Prices a bit high but reasonable for quality of food. Dine in, take out, and liquor options available.
Great Sushi. Great survive. And the best grab and go take out Sushi in town. Would love to see more vegetarian options in the grab and go though :).
Very delicious food and even through covid we were allowed to dine in and all protocols were followed which is very reassuring. We were also given a free bottle of water which was very generous.
The Sushi is absolutely amazing and to die for. Try the deep fried California Roll, I promise it's an amazing experience! The bubble tea isn't that great, they dont have the black tapioca just the clear one and it tastes like rubber!
Miso soup was watery, salad had a unpleasant taste. The sashimi was thin and warm. Overall not a good experience this time having dinner. Even my spouse agreed, we both had the same thing.
You can taste the pride the owner takes in her business.
Delicious food and a good atmosphere despite covid. The rolls are a bit messy as some are rather large.
Very easy menu to read, inexpensive but also very high quality. The owner gave me and my son a water and juice box on the house. Very kind!
Great food, little pricey but it is a Sushi restaurant so it's sort of a given. Friendly enough people. The only complaint I have is that the sushi is a little too large to eat in one bite which ends up making a mess. Still a place I would continue to visit though, great for a quick in and out (they have some prepared ahead of time so you can just grab and go) which none of the other sushi places in town offer.
Great little restaurant, although it does need some much needed renovations. The service is always quick and the food is served to you even quicker. Great number of choices for sushi
Great service. Huge tasty rolls, and they always give my kids free rolls and or treats on each visit.
Food is OK, portions are Big! I had the tempura bento box. I have never had so much food in a bento box before. The prawns were a really good size and lots of yam.
Wasabi Sushi is a great place with really friendly service. I highly reccomend trying their bubble tea, if you haven't before, it goes great with one of their more-than-you-can-eat bento boxes or even just a regular platter of sushi rolls (their dynamite rolls are amazing.) As for the few negative reviews on this place-- ignore them. Why waste your time reading that rubbish when you could use your time more wisely getting some delcious sushi, am I right?
The BEST sushi in town! Always fresh, and friendly, amazing service!
The staff are SO nice. When we went yesterday, the apologized for the wait (which was maybe 5 minutes so it was odd) and gave us a free bowl of edamame! The food is amazing and the prices are great especially for carry out!
this is hands down the best place to get sushi in Prince George, the food is so well priced and the staff are amazing!! The food always tastes amazing and I go out of my way to come here and get sushi!
Liked the tuna roll from the fridge .. it was reasonably priced too. People were sitting in, I didn't have time. Would return if in the area.
Very nice People mostly Asian staff very true to Japan cuisine very fresh very balanced very satisfying I will surely order again
Service
Staff are friendly and helpful, food is delicious and well made, very organized and clean with all this Covid19 stuff going on. Would definitely recommend! Loved it!
This is my favorite sushi place in the North. I have never not been happy with any meal I have had. Also the staff go above and beyond. Everyone of them. Thank you to all the staff at Wasabi. I highly recommend if you haven't tried this place yet, it should be a must try.
Everything was weird/bad tasting and expensive. They charged for the teas and overall not a place I'd go back to. If you're in town avoid this place because you'll feel ripped off.
Best place in PG, they didn't win #1 sushi of the year for nothing. Friendly staff. Favorite place for lunch.
I want here the other day and I wasn't super impressed in my opinion the sushi didn't taste very fresh... ????
A must try if you haven't before, I recommend this place to everyone ! I've been coming back for a few years now and have never had a bad experience.
Incredibly kind staff and excellent food, I've never had a single complaint after years of eating here
Really great sushi. The restaurant isn't anything fancy but the staff are friendly and everything is reasonably priced. My only pet peeve is that they clear the table right in the middle of your conversion. Ps: The agadashi tofu is amazing.
Feels like you are in a big city sushi. Chinese influenced Japanese food. Very delicious. Many options for dining in, take out and to go options. Generous portions for a reasonable price!
Great service. Friendly staff and fast, great tasting food. Good for quick lunch time take-out.
This is my favorite restaurant by far. It has a huge variety of items on the menu and fantastic service. Food is always fresh.
I really like this restaurant. It has friendly staff who give you immediate service at really good prices. Delicious sushi and tasty bubble tea.
Meal type
Friendly staff and yummy sushi make this the go to sushi place in town. It exceeds other places for many reasons. You can grab fantastic rolls and sashimi in minutes that is prepackaged or choose to sit down and order from the menu. It's fast, affordable and always tasty.
My daughter and I really enjoyed this shop. Yummy food, convenient and tasty.
best sushi i’ve had in a really long time! definitely recommend this place.
This was my first time visiting Wasabi Sushi and I'm certain it wont be my last. I ordered the California Roll and the Beef Teriyaki roll. Both were exceptionally priced, I paid about $12 for 8 pieces of each. If you've ever bought California rolls from the grocery store you should know how great of a deal that is. Especially considering both tasted at least 10 times better than any grocery store sushi I've ever had. Aside from the food, the restaurant itself has a very cute Asian aesthetic, and the staff were polite & punctual. Overall a great experience, well deserved the 5 stars.
Decent quality and decent prices. Fast service too. Had great takeout options too. The Bento box I had was good, but the teriyaki chicken could have been better, and the noodles weren’t great. The spicy tuna roll was yummy. Seating is a bit limited and it’s a pretty busy place. Overall a good option for sushi while in PG.
Really great prices, extremely helpful, hardworking and friendly owners/staff. I love making the quick drive downtown just to get sushi that's absolutely quality. Their stir fry noodles are my absolute favourite. I do hope they eventually get a bigger place so their dine-in experience doesn't feel as cramped but when the weather is great, getting a seat outside with a couple friends is a lot of fun. Overall, a great place for lunch or dinner.
Great service with some gluten free options. When we ordered the restaurant also brought us an extra dish "on the house". Service was fast, and the Udon was flavourful.
Very fast service and greeting. Good food and fresh. Best prawn tempura I have had. Lots of fresh take out as well.
I've been here twice one for take out and one for dine in. First time take out, the sushi are not what I expected. Quality of rice is 2 out of 10. Second we dine in. The time I order from the time I got my food was less than 5 mins. Service was quick but food quality is way below average. After eating the sushi I didn't feel good after. Again the sushi quality are 2 out of ten. They need to work on their rice quality and possibly food safety if they do that I'd come more often. And it seems they prioritize more on service and less on quality of the food. The house special bento box with noodles I got was cold it taste like it's been sitting for a while and taste rubbery old noodles. The sushi were 2 out of 10, the chicken teriyaki was cold , the teriyaki sauce was 3 out of 10, the spring roll were ok but small, there was no dip for the spring roll. For 15 dollars it's not worth a try. There is still room for improvement. This place can improve and grow with better quality on food not quantity of food. Overall this place is 2-3 out of 10. Real talk peace.
Best sushi in prince George hands down! Highly recommended I'm a frequent customer never a issue
Best sushi in Prince George! Very tasty and the owners take pride, which shows in the food.
My absolute favourite, always friendly and quick. Quality food and excellent portions. I am enjoying the new order online feature as well !
Excellent food and service. The sushi is as good if not better than anything you’d find on the lower mainland. Portions are excellent.
I apologize for the previous mixup...I'm not sure how my Walmart review ended up here but it was unintentional. As for Wasabi Sushi Wonton House all I can say is they make the best Chicken Prawn fried rice I've ever had and the Wonton soup is to die for! I can't comment on the restaurant itself because I've never been there but the takeout service is awesome and food is still piping hot on arrival!
Frozen sushi sucks. Means it cant be kept fresh. Found the service on average. Cleanliness poor. Not the best in PG. Not even good enough to mention. Chesp and cheap tasting.
Good sushi, wide variety and fast. However not the highest quality but that is fairly reflected in the price. It is becoming a regular for me, and I definitely enjoy the Sushi.
One of the best, if not the best sushi place in town. I've been here over and over again. I come from Vancouver where the sushi is incredible and I'm very impressed with the service and great food here :)
Excellent food (chicken stir fry), fast and friendly service...not enough seating though...pretty squishy in the lobby. My daughter had sushi and said it was really good
I love there sushi. We try make it there when we visit as we do not live there anymore. My fav is California.
Im not impressed.the wonton was terrible no taste ...broth no taste..costco has better wonton u can buy frozen only thing good was the veggies.taste like a fast food place.that is what there wonton looked like
Always great food, friendly service and a clean quick place to grab a bite, or a to go container of delicious food! Highly recommended.
Pretty good place here. I had the Golden Dragon Roll and miso soup. My bill came to about $20. It’s a pretty delicious roll, keep in mind it’s huge and a little difficult to eat. I almost would have preferred maybe a huge plate of 20 smaller pieces. That’s my only issue. This was also the most expensive roll they had. Great ingredients and worth it. You’ll be stuffed after this one.
Absolutely amazing sushi restaurant, you can buy premade if your in a hurry or dine in, just had their war wonton which was amazing and took my friend and I to try and finish it but there was still enough to take away.
Excellent food. Has always been great. Service is second to none. We always feel like a valued customer here. Fantastic take out options too!
Quick service, but it does lack a bit of authenticity. My Negitoro Roll wasn't a skinny vertical stack of seared garlic tuna belly with green onion wrap in rice, instead it had no garlic and was sprinkled with green onions and it was cut into flat discs :p. The tuna tasted somewhat fresh, but overall not impressed. Though the avocado roll is the size of an average California roll, there were way too many sesame seeds on top- a solid covering which altered the flavour to more of a sesame taste instead of a fresh bite of avocado. Overall the menu offers a good selection and if you drop in they have a good variety of rolls already made that you can visually see and know if that's what your looking for instead of just ordering off a menu... But this is just quick bite food, nothing special or unique about their quality. This food didn't make my mouth water, I didn't want to eat until I was stuffed- actually half way through I closed the container to take a break. I was disappointed about the food and disappointed that I had decided to treat myself and that I didn't enjoy the food, but spent $16 for 3 sub-par rolls.
Absolutely the best!! I would go back any time!!
This is my go to place for sushi.
it was really good but the one i just notice after i was almost finished my soup i looked and seen leftover sauce from the previous person used the spoon
Always a great experience! The staff is so wonderful and welcoming, the food is always delicious and great quality, the prices are so cheap for such great quality food and service! I always leave happy and full ????
Amazing food, great prices. Only had the sushi, but heard their other food are great as well.
Best “Grab n Go” sushi in PG. Eating in was ok but there are much better places in town to do so. Their recent renovations improved the in restaurant ambience. Not sure if it actually did. Usually a busy place to grab pre-made sushi. The convenience adds a star, maybe 1.5 stars to this place, and the super awesome friendly staff is a bonus. Prices ok.
I ate here for the first time on Saturday with a large group of friends. The entire group absolutely loved the food. The service was great, and they even sent us a couple dishes on the house!
Yummy food, good drinks, awesome customer service clean ???????? love it here
The Tempura Shrimp is top shelf. The prices are great and the portion sizes are generous. The staff is welcoming and super friendly. If you are a sushi lover this is a must !????
First time trying this place tonight. Great prices, great portions. I had the Wonton Soup and it was big enough for 2 to 3 people. Big wontons, lots of vegetables and tiger shrimp. The chicken teriyaki rolls was really good too! The service was absolutely amazing and the food literally came out hot and fresh in 10 minutes.
Friendly staff, great food, reasonably priced
Whether your meal is ordered from the kitchen or from the to go fridge it's always fresh and delicious at Wasabi Sushi. Their staff are polite, friendly, and on the ball. The restaurant is always a happening place so I know I'm not the only one!
Love the food specially tempura and stir-fried. Visit the restaurant 5 times a week
Suprisingly satisfying sushi in a far flung location. Very friendly staff and the open concept kitchen is reassuring. Portion sizes were very big and they offer a good selection.
Excellent sushi. They always have fresh to-go packages ready for purchase. This place is so good they are constantly re-stocking.
This is my go to place for ready made fresh sushi when I'm out and about without alot of time. The staff is always happy and helpful.
Super friendly staff! I ordered about 5 items and all of them were absolutely delicious! Only waited for a few minutes, Would highly recommend.
Not a fan of wasabi, too spicy. But I am a fan of Wasabi Sushi, spicy in a good way. Loved the rolls!
The food was delicious!
Dinner
Absolutely the best place for sushi in Prince George. Although it is normally busy, the service is outstanding and I have never had a reason for complaint. The food is delicious and much cheaper than their competitors! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly.
Take out
Such great service, even given a free drink while waiting and the best eel I've ever had!
Awesome food, fast delivery, and we almost always get a free sample of something more delicious than what we ordered. Thank you for the consistent customer service and meals! We come back every time
A great little shop! Their sushi is always fresh and the staff are very friendly and provide great, fast service.
Great price and selection of veggie sushi (amongst other options as well).
Just moved to Prince George from the Greater Vancouver Area, and wasn't sure what to expect from a sushi place here. This place surpassed all expectations. Got a huge bento box, and it was of a quality better than at least 75% of the places around Vancouver.
This is our favourite Japanese food restaurant on the planet! Limited seating, though, so we usually order takeout.
I love this place for quick grab and go sushi. I come here so infrequently now since I live elsewhere, and yet they always remember me and what I like, and I really appreciate that.
Food is amazing and the staff are very kind and helpful
Was good food fast hot and fresh . Always a large selection of fresh sushi I don't eat it although the rest of my family love it. Told us sit down and wait very kind guy who took out order gave us a cold pop and bottle of water for while we wait. We will always go back there.
Amazing sushi! First time getting sushi in Prince George and it did not disappoint. Came in and ordered food to-go. Service was extremely friendly, quick, and the sushi was absolutely delicious! Even got a complimentary bottle of water while waiting. Highly recommend :)
Absolutly everytime I go I am treated with fast and welcoming service. Food is on point and to me eating isn't just about the food but the atmosphere 5/5 for both. Thank you for your consistent and generous service. I always leave feeling cheerful
My favourite place to grab sushi. Not only are the portions large and delicious, but the staff are very friendly. They have by far, the best customer service in town. I eat here at least once a month and they know me by name now. :)
Went their my partner's Bday. We loved it and came back the next week. The scallop rolls were my fav. Was very busy but service was top notch.
Best sushi! All the food is great and made fresh, has take out pre-made packs or you can sit down to eat. Fast and friendly service, the owner is always around greeting people and seeing how their day is going, super personable! Havnt had anything from here that I havnt liked and the prices and awesome aswell! Great atmosphere. I don't live in PG anymore but I still recommend this place to anyone who's going to be driving through and I stop by everytime I come home, havnt had better sushi for its price yet.
Probably the oldest sushi place in PG but still the best. Their grab and go is great if you need something quick on a lunch break, but their restaurant is also a great place to sit down. Owners treat regulars very well.
One of my favorite sushi restaurants. Delicious and fresh sushi, with awesome chef specials. Super convenient and quality food!
Our favourite sushi. Can’t wait till they open fully but take out is great for now
First, I order a Katsu Don, the waiter asked what meat. So I was confused as ut should be Pork but pointed at the menu anyways at the Pork Only option on their menu. What I got is Port teriyaki on rice. I don't understand how a waiter who received a verbal and visual direction still got an order wrong. To add I was eating by myself and the restaurant was not busy.
Came back to PG for a few days for work. So happy to come here and grab my favorite items. Love this place and the staff.
A must try when in Prince George BC, gigantic pork shrimp wontons. They also serve sushis and makis. IMHO it's the best tasting wonton with the biggest serving here in Canada. A sure bang for your bucks!!! #yummywonton #pgwasabi #wheninprincegeorge
The food is just so delicious and beautifully presented. Always fresh and tasty.
Delicious food with a good selection of both sushi rolls and fully cooked dishes. The staff are always very nice and friendly.
Great staff and clean seating area. They have great options for eating in or a good selection of sushi for takeout. Everything I have had has been tasty and authentic. One of the best places in town for quick and easy Japanese cuisine
Quality, best in town Never disappointed PG rolls are lyfe
Great sushi place!
The food wasn't bad, no complaints but that was not the hi-light of my visit. I went to pay with debit and the young lady pushed the buttons and when the debit machine went to that tip screen she automatically pushed the "skip" button forgoing the entire tip process and then handed me the machine. I walked out stunned and when i couldn't find any change to return with i went back in to purchase a pop so that i could leave a tip this time. SHE TRIED TO GIVE ME THE POP FOR FREE. I informed her that i had never seen anyone do what she did, ever and she told me "we are just happy that you decided to order from us." During the Covid epidemic she was just glad to be able to have customers and be working. Amazing. I bought that pop and left a $10.00 tip.
I’ve returned to Wasabi to offer it the persisted second chance. I’ve a lot to delve into, so let’s skip my lamented preamble and talk about the decor which--same as last time--looks to have been designed by someone suffering from agnosia (look it up)—irregular colored tiles, soccer flags from countries that never win the World Cup, and lamps plucked from a David O’Russel movie. So...yeah, typical for a sushi place. Likewise for the laminated oversized single page menu. I found my seat, was offered a menu, and was delivered my tea in only a few minutes. They defiantly cater to a rush. And in a paper cup again—not sure why this is suddenly becoming a trend. I sat next to the heating duct so it felt like I was in a studio apartment in downtown Tokyo with a broken air conditioner. I ordered sushi and within minutes, I was served. That was a bit too fast, and my suspicions were proved immediately by warm rice. I repeat, the rice was warm, a cardinal sin for a sushi restaurant. And they STILL cut their sushi too large. Holy hell, I think these were larger than last time I was here. This is not value, people, and it’s not the habits of a good restaurant. To make matters worse, there was a flavour in the rice I couldn’t identify. Was the rice actually salted? In defense, the miso was good. You know what, I am not sure people got what I was saying exactly 72 words ago. Each nigiri was like four inches long. Whose mouth can accommodate this? Please explain to me what makes Wasabi the often praised best sushi place in town. Disagree with my thoughts on Sushi Star, but Sendo, Tokyo—hell, the sushi bar at Superstore is better than this. You could add two more nigiri with the amount of fish on my plate. Lazy. I have recanted previous reviews based on repeated advice from friends. Only on a few occasions have my initial reviews been rendered incorrect. This is not one of those times. Wasabi either doesn’t read reviews or don’t pay mine any mind. And that’s okay. They are obviously successful so don’t require my criticism. But I cannot see myself returning with so many superior alternatives available. One thing is certain, Wasabi’s reputation as the best sushi restaurant in town is as deserved as 12 Years a Slave winning the best picture Oscar (Gravity all the way). But let me end this review on a different note. I am getting increasingly annoyed at the judgement that non-Japanese cannot run a sushi restaurant. Let’s excuse the complete racist over/undertones of such a statement and state that some of the best sushi restaurants I’ve seen have been run by non-Japanese. It is honestly ignorant and factually incorrect—your ethnicity is not a requirement for culinary skill. In fact, sushi has spread so quickly throughout the globe, many neighboring nations to Japan can claim a lifelong training in the craft. So my criticism of Wasabi has nothing to do with the nationality of its owners. By noon, this place was swamped, with the register constantly buzzing. Like I said; these people don’t need me...but given that same logic, most Chinese buffets in town are still in business. Catering to people who think nigiri is a country in Africa doesn’t make you the greatest restaurant in the world. Sushi places have an odd stratum to compare to. Are you better than Superstore sushi? Are you superior to what we can grab in thirty seconds walking into a big block retailer? If you cannot measure up, then you have a problem, and Wasabi has been left wanting. Food: 2.5/5 Service: 3/5 Presentation: 3.5/5 Value: 3/5 Recommendation: 3/5
I've enjoyed the sushi, it's actually one of the best places to eat sushi!
Extremely good sushi amazing service.. i dont even need to tell them what i want anymore. They always remember me and its a great feeling!
The fellow operating the place his name is water ???? yes that's his name he's kind and always seems to get your order to you super fresh and very quickly. They offer pre-made combos to go but ordering off the menu as much fresher and way tastier in my opinion. My friends and family have been going here since it opened like 16 years ago and none of us have had a bad dining experience.. so enjoy !!!!
Incredible food and service. Always smiling staff and a very diverse menu. 10/10 always recommend to anyone I know!
Delicious sushi and the people who work here are always super friendly. I love this place.
Such a wonderfully run joint with delicious food! I ordered way too much for my first visit....large portions for the price and the Tuna Tataki was top shelf. So good, highly recommend!
A consistently good sushi restaurant. Some of their sushi is better than others and I recommend sticking to the rolls. However, the best part about Wasabi is the staff. They are always so friendly and inviting.
The food is super delicious and fair priced. The portions are massive and all the seafood on the menu is so fresh. I highly recommend. ????
Limited seating and parking, but the quality of service and food is consistent; this is truly the best place for grab-n-go sushi in PG (if not the only place). The sushi is pre-pacakged and sorted in two cooler shelving units by vegeterian and non-vegetarian offerings. Reasonably priced (yet, you may not think so if you've been spoiled by Vancouver prices). Great for satisfying that sushi craving when you don't want to wait for an order or pickup and don't feel like dining at the venue. Warning: lunchtime is normally busy - very busy (but the grab-n-go lineup moves quick, especially if you know what you want)!
Fantastic place, you walk in and they have a wall of options, they also have a wall of vegetarian options.
I have travelled across all of Western Canada and this is the BEST SUSHI place I have ever gone to. Excellent quality food and service! ????
The absolute best Sushi in PG. Have been going here for over ten years. Always consistent, always fresh, and the service is ALWAYS fast. Like super fast. Their prices are also less than any other sushi place in PG. Their sushi rice is …
One of my favorite places to go great food and great service very friendly staff sushi here is amazing!!
Busy little sushi shop with so much variety. Speedy service. Sometimes the cooked items are a little overdone and the cooked tuna rolls are dry, but everything is spot on for flavour. They need either single bar counter seating for the singles eating so they aren't holding 2 seats or they need a larger restaurant (which won't likely happen it's a great location)
Great value for the price and amount of food. Staff is always very friendly and welcoming. The to-go shelves are great for quick meals on the run.
Favourite sushi place in town. Plenty amount every single time
I stop by here every now and then after work. The food is great, the prices are great, and the staff is friendly and polite. I don't normally leave reviews but this place really deserves it!
I had a not-so-good experience last time I ordered for a take out. However today, they really stepped up the game. Really like the sushi a lot. 1. Quantity wise best in town for a Japanese food. 2. Quality wise they still getting improved. Overall great. Will come here again for sure. :)
Great food good service. Nice people.
Very reasonable prices and it's all ready to go. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. It was a great quick and light meal, and all the classic rolls and a few more unique ones were on offer.
Food is always so fresh and delicious
Been getting sushi here for years, they never disappoint... Good service and friendly staff.
Get the won ton soup. You've never had won ton soup like this before but you will come back for it again.
Delicious sushi, very friendly staff and budget friendly!
After being away from PG for a couple years, I returned and went online to the Wasabi sushi menu online and noticed that they still had their Bento Box Chicken Teriyaki on special for $9.95. I called in and placed the order and was notified it would be ready in 10min. After arriving at the restaurant for pick up, the owner came out and told me it would cost over $15. I asked if they increased the price and he stated yes, by $1, with a rude and entitled demeanour! I didn’t want to cause a scene so I told him that’s fine. Then I informed him that the online menu is different from the menu that he supposedly updated. He didn’t even ask me if I would like a $1 off or anything. He said that we don’t have the time to update their menus online, which I thought was very unprofessional and unethical! I tried talking to him about something similar and it seems like he was very condescending and didn’t want to hear it. So it went from $9.95 to $14.95; It’s not a special anymore. The only reason why I liked and recommended this place was because the prices were great! The sushi quality isn’t even that good, and the food taste bland! Not worth it without the old prices! With the improper advertisement and the lack of responsibility and respect from the owner, I will definelty not be going back to this place! They start off by giving people deals than jack up the price when they attained enough customers! Way better places In PG than this little shady restaurant!!! #not recommended!
I generally have a good dining experience at Wasabi; i eat there quite often and i take my food to go about as often as i eat in and i find the food is extremely consistent and so i know what to expect.
Nice small place. However, be aware, I ordered Toro, which was suppose to be tuna belly but the fish that was served was very questionable. Toro usually comes in a pinkish colour pending on the fat content. My piece of fish was completely white and when I asked, I was told it is toro and the person walked away very quickly followed by a "complimentary" soup??
Way too expensive for mid-quality sushi. Tuna rolls should never be over $3.25. They advertise their rolls and sashimi as "big", which I though would compensate for the very high prices, but they are standard size. Sashimi was actually smaller compared to other places with lower prices. Wonton soup was just ok. Service was meh and atmosphere non-existent. Probably better just to do take out here.
The sushi is not as awesome as sushi 97 but it's really good. The service is top notch. We got a bunch of freebies on the house and the lady serving our table was really sweet.
This restaurant is consistent and reliable. They have a tried and true formula, and while they aren't breaking any new ground, they are always a good go to for sushi. Service is quick, energetic, and helpful. The only reason I haven't given them a five star review is their continued reliance on and overuse of plastic products. There are plenty of more environmentally friendly options for takeout.
Astounding food, quick friendly service, and attractive pricing make Wasabi Sushi an amazing dining or take-out experience. Wasabi Sushi is undoubtedly my favourite restaurant in Prince George. Repeatedly it has set and went above my standards for a meal. It has a cozy yet busy atmosphere along with familiar, friendly staff. The amazing wait time makes this a great place for a quick bite, and the food is unparalleled. The sushi (both maki and nigiri) has an astonishing taste and made with fresh, healthy ingredients. The noodle dishes are superb and come with plenty of meat. Try subbing your standard noodles for udon (at no extra charge) if you want to mix it up. Their miso soup is always hot and tasty. The restaurant is extremely clean and features an open kitchen. The bathroom is very well maintained. All of this is enclosed by amazing prices. You have to go here.
Best sushi in town, amazing customer service and really nice selections for immediately take out
Service was okay at best, food was very bad, none of it felt fresh whatsoever, and add to the it was way over priced. Very disappointed, won't be going again.
They let you dine in which is great in the brisk PG weather.
Sushi is good. My best friend says it's her favorite place here in town. Nice experience I had today.
Visited once and would not go again. Bad sushi at high prices and near non existent service. Rolls did not taste authentic, nor was the Chicken Teriyaki, and presentation was sloppy. This place leaves a lot to be desired. Would not recommend.
Excellent service, decent quality and affordable price. The owner runs the business with conscious. The best sushi and wonton place to go in town.
one of the best sushi places in town! Service is always incredible staff are always really friendly and willing to help you figure out what you want off the menu. They have lots of great deals and combos. They even do platters for potlucks and work events.
Great service, excellent fresh tasting food. Beef noodles are to die for!
This was the best I've ever had! The food came very fast too.
Have been eating here since they opened and it is always super good, but I've always forgotten to leave a review. Tonight it was amazing. Had spring rolls, chicken stirfry noodles, and blackjack roll. Highly recommend everything.
The best sushi I've had in Prince George and the staff are absolutely awesome. Lots of variety, ready for quick takeaway meals. Worth checking out!
Really Excellent Sashima (raw fish/no rice). Generous sized chunks of wild salmon and melt in your mouth tuna. Every roll we tried was awesome. Truly delicious sushi, at a fair price. They also have convenient take-out packs of sush rolls, sashimi, etc. Only one bad thing: We ordered Gom-ae (japanese spinach appetizer) and it was not fresh. It appeared to be a plastic take-out pack they had opened and put on our table. It tasted like it was going bad, and my wife and me could not eat it. We will go back, but I will insist on fresh-made food.
