Always great food and service. Prime rib on the weekends is excellent.
Really good Greek food
Great Greek food!
Excellent fish, highly recommended
Outstanding food and service, as always!
The prime rib steak was the best I've ever had!!!
We had such a fantastic lunch today at Walter’s! Sat on the patio and was served by Lynn. She was so friendly and had great suggestions on the menu. Our food was delicious and came out fast.
Great family restaurant with Greek food. The prices are very reasonable and it has a great atmosphere with a nautical feel.
We stopped in for a quick bite to eat while Christmas shopping. The food was delicious, staff and service was wonderful. We will definitely be back again and next time we will take our time! Will be recommending this place to others for sure!
Excellent Food!! Will definitely be back. Service was pretty good.
Good food, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and you can take a stroll by the canal after dinner
Great food, good portions and wonderful service.
I my self particularly am not a fan of Greek food my self but the people of ate with whole heartedly enjoyed their Greek food. I my self orderered a hamburger steak with mash and their daily vegetable. It was really good and it's a great place to go for a mixture between wanting Greek food (there is more regular choices mind you ie hamburgers etc)and a home cooked meal. Probably one of the better restaraunts in Port.
Great place to have an excellent meal, with a warm cosy atmosphere. My friends have brought me here on a few occasions while visiting them in Port Colbourne. The service is very good and the staff are friendly without being overpowering. Also, if you are looking for somewhere to even just have dessert and coffee or tea...this is a go to place to do that. their desserts are worth driving a little out of your way to enjoy.
Repeat visitor every time we are in town. Love the fish and chips and the Greek dishes. The staff is always very friendly, working hard to make sure our visit is a great one. Crowded on Fridays and weekend so make sure you make a reservation if you have more than 4 people.
Love their fish and chips
Onion rings are the best! Clam chowder soup was thickened with something other than cream and was almost gluey... Staff is pleasant.
Took an eight year old for dinner. He was given a kid’s menu which he picked the fish and chips from. When we ordered we ordered the fish and chips and my meal. Getting the food he was brought the adult portion of fish. I mention something to the waitress and was told I didn’t specify the kids portion. I didn’t realize I had to specify since he was brought the kids menu and was very clearly a child. When I said I didn’t realize I had to specify she got a little rude telling me that yes I had to specify. When a child is brought a kid’s menu it is common sense they are ordering from the kid’s menu. Had I been ordering him an adult meal then I would have specified. Of course he didn’t eat it all so I paid extra and it was wasted money. Ridiculous.
Pretty good Greek food. That's all I've very had there. The service is pretty slow though. I hear the burgers are very good too!
Excellent food & service! A throwback to days of family dinners, home style cooking and small town Ontario. The five of us really enjoyed our lunch and as a bonus we got to see a freighter go through the canal. We'll definitely be back when we visit next time!!! (the burgers are excellent)
My wife and I (first time customers) had a wonderful experience at this lovely establishment. Prime rib was Devine! Not to mention our server was great! Very friendly and informative. We will deffenitly be repeat customers. Thanks for a great dinner!
Lunch
Went on Saturday night for their famous Prime Rib dinner. As usual the meat was cooked perfectly and melt in your mouth delicious. Just wish they cooked the vegetables a little longer, carrots were hard.
Small and cozy- had battered shrimp and fries for lunch and a shared appetizer of pita with tzatziki sauce. Only complaint was coffee was barely warm but our server was pleasant and would go again.
Friendliest people serving you. Great food and great selection of wines. Perfect view of the Clarence Street bridge/Welland Canal.
Lunch meal needs improvement. 9.00 for a small tuna sandwich. 6.00 for fries and coleslaw. The sandwich looked like a child's. Sandwich.
Nice restaurant on the Welland Canal. their outside patio makes it easy to watch ships pass through the Canal. Very extensive menu, more selection than normal. I had a delicious veal Parmesan while my wife had broasted chicken and fries. I could have chosen any number of meals as they had lots of what I like.
Leah was my server today, it was a great meal and they were very friendly. I got 10 ounces of fresh Perch and Greek salad and it was fantastic! Very nice inside and outside dining areas too!
Really enjoyed the fish and my friend's broasted chicken was delish too. Very friendly and attentive service.
Food was great and everything was safe and clean. We were able to keep our social distance and yet still enjoy ourself. The price was good as well.
Fantastic food and friendly staff! I had the gyro along with a greek salad which were both amazing. Service could be a little faster however, and we also had to go into the bar to pay.
We decided to try Walters and Neptune after reading reviews it was child friendly. We ordered our meals. The orange juice the children ordered had pulp in it, which they are not used to. I asked the waitress if they had chocolate milk and if I could order 2 choloclate milks. She didn't even come all the way over to our table and responded 'Well, I have 3 other tables waiting!' The chocolate milk didn't arrive before the children were done eating their dinner. They were waiting paitently for a dessert (jello or ice cream) which comes with a kids meal. I catch the waitress after serving another table (not planning on checking on us) if we could cancel the chocolate milk at this point and she said they are being made and walked away before I had a chance to ask about the kids desserts. At this point they are getting restless. My 1 year old screamed thinking the echo was funny..I was getting anxious to get moving, but there was no sign of the waitress. Then a lady with from the kitchen came and tried to give my 1 year old daughter crackers behind my back through the railings of the seating area!!! Are you kidding me! How about you actually check on your customers. Then the waitress came back with the bill to get us to leave with no mention of the dessert the kids had been waiting for. Our table was still full of dishes. I was extremely dissapionted in the service and felt like we were a big inconvenience to our waitress. We will definitelty not be returning and would advise anyone with young children to steer clear. This restaurant does not accommodate families with small children!
Awesome food, every time! Superb service and pleasant low-key atmosphere !
Good food, great variety of Greek options. Friendly staff.... though don't be in a hurry or you could be disappointed.????.
some of the worst food I've ever eaten. My family went there oonce and my father ordered a hamburger. a few minutes later, the waitress walked by with a lovely large hamburger and gave it to a customer. 10 minutes later, my dad gets a 4' charred slab of frozen meat on a bun. worst place to eat at in port colborne
Best haddock and chips I've had in quite some time; broasted chicken was great! Will try the Greek menu next time!
They must have been short staffed at canal days....we waited 1-1/2 hours for our food to come to the table. 3hours there from the time we sat down. They didn't have a full house either. Waitress never even alologized. Food was ok, fries we're cold though.
That was my first visit just pointing with the finger on a map and this place did not disappoint at all. Loved everything about it - the location, indoor and outdoor seating, big veriety of food on the menu, very nice staff, and it was soooooooo delicious ????. The place seems to be very popular amongst travellers and residents, saw lots of take outs while we were there.
They quickly accommodated our hockey team and Brenda made sure we had a short turn around. Food was fresh and tasty. Lots of selection!
Loved there burger. Only needed the single paddy. They are home made and very tasty. Even the fries were home made.
Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, we sat for over 20 minutes without service at the end of our meal. No other server seemed willing to get our bill for us, even after asking two separate ones. Our own server was MIA for the entire meal without apology or concern. Disappointing experience.
I ordered the family broasted chicken dinner. They charged me $75.00 for twenty pieces of chicken, fries, wedges and coleslaw. After unpacking at home I called to see if I was over charged. There was twenty pieces of chicken, a small box of fries and a box with literally 7 wedges and no gravy and requested. When I called and compared there price to the Belmont's 15 piece meal for $30, they said there chicken is better. Anyway lesson learned.
Meal type
Just left this restaurant. Amazing service, excellent food and lovely ambience. 100% will come back.
Great place to eat. Food cooked well and tastes great. It's served by polite servers. What more could you ask for?
Good food and excellent service.
Great restaurant for good food with a wide selection in a clean, spacious environment.
Quaint diner along the main St. Service was good even under the pressure of the Canal Days Crowd. Food was good but a bit pricey for the little morsels of Perch fish & chips
Always an enjoyable experience. Good food at a decent price and extremely friendly staff in a great setting.
Great food and huge servings! The broasted chicken and battered haddock were delicious. Friendly and courteous staff!
Great place! We stopped there for a quick meal in the middle of our bike ride. 5 star hospitality!
Ordered for first time after pandemic. I know every business is hurting right now and I get that! I never post any reviews. But I just spent $50 on two meals , left a good tip, live 2 minutes away from Walters. My hot meal - quiche - wash put in same container as my soggy garden salad - it was ice cold and soggy wet when I got home. Fish and chips Luke warm. Where did the quality go? I know money is extremely tight for businesses but keep quality over quantity for now because that’s how you will get back loyal customers. Think of this, McDonald’s separates the hot cold / food into different bags! I had my salad in same carton of my hot food and could not eat it because it soaked up all the salad water!
I'm a massive chicken wings fan and Walters has some of the best I've ever had. Ordered the suicide wings and they were cooked perfectly. I did ask for a side hot sauce because I like more heat and they looked after me. Definitely going back. Our server was great as well.
Extremely friendly staff. The food was really good and they gave us a nice corner table with a view of the Welland Canal. We'll be back.
The chicken wą the best. Tasty without being salty. Good portion of coleslaw. Nice big windows to watch the boats and locks
I had the Dolmades ($16.95). Seemed like they catered primarily to the senior population. Usually when you go to a Greek restaurant, you get amazing portions and a great value. This place is surprisingly expensive and the portions were smaller than one would expect. The quality of the food was mediocre. Service was ridiculously slow.
Great food and friendly staff. I haven't had a bad meal or a experience. It's also pretty cool to look out the windows and catch a boat going by in the canal.
Broasted Chicken, that Port Colborne delicacy can't be beat. Neither can their fresh Perch meal. Nice atmosphere, friendly, but very efficient staff. Perfect all season place for a date night meal when we're in Port.
Great little spot that looks and feels the same as it always has! Pleasantly surprised by their Greek food- quite the extensive menu and the Saganaki was delicious! Friendly service, nice little patio. My kids loved it too!
The other day we had a nice birthday lunch for a friend. Leah was an amazing server. It was my first at the restaurant and it will not be my last. The food and atmosphere are awesome. Definitely recommend ????????
Dine in
Got food to go.It was so good and still hot! Recommend the hot turkey sandwich
Excellent food and service. Prices are reasonable and portions adequate. On street parking and easy to find. If you're in the area and hungry, check it out.
Service
Good food good service good prices
The service was exceptional. Very accommodating, didnt rush us, very nice friendly waitress. The food was also good.
Very good dinner. Recommended by our server. Village Greek Salad with grilled chicken. Ample portions with good flavour. Enjoyable dinner àrt a reasonable price.
Ordered 3 2 piece chicken dinners with fried and gravy and it was the best fried chicken we have had ANYWHERE. Top on our list. No more KFC. Great service. GREAT FOOD WAY TO GO WALTERS 5 STARS FROM US
Twice I have walked in here and sat on the "restaurant" side, and I have waited, once 10 minutes, and today 15 minutes! That's a long time to wait to have a waitress come over. This is unacceptable service, but in the town of Port Colborne, this is viewed as "quaint". The waitresses need to be cleared out for new staff that know what being a server is all about.
We are new to Port Colborne and went on the hunt for a cozy place to eat. We came across Walters & Neptune and decided to try it out. We were greated by staff with a friendly smile from our waitress. I don't often eat fish but had a hankering for fish and chips. To our surprise we received 2 huge pieces of haddock cooked to perfection! It was not greasy in any way. The batter was not too thick or thin. And beautiful white flaky fish. Served with thick fries and coleslaw. A tall glass of super cold Alexander Keith. All for less then $40. The service from our waitress and Zoe granddaughter of owner could never be beat. It brought us back to a time when you felt you were important, appreciated and part of the family. If you enjoy great service, amazing food and a the perfect atmostphere for any attire. We would highly recommend this licensed restaurant <3 Bonne Appetite
Great atmosphere. Portions were very generous! Food was fantastic. Will definitely visit again! We will call ahead however. We arrived at dinnertime on a Saturday and they were very busy. ;)
Staff was very polite. They gave me time to decide on my selection. We had a group of about 20. This was our second visit. Everyone showed up again! We tried different selections and recommended them for our friends to try. l would return again.
The food was fantastic as was the service. This is a great place to grab lunch and a slice of homemade pie. Cocoanut cream is awesome as was the turkey club. John, Vienna, VA.
Warning: nostalgic review ahead. I grew up eating at Walters, and it hasn't changed. The last time I ate there was in 2007. It was a family restaurant for us, and will always have good memories. Thanks again Walters!
Always love this place, they are so nice and the food is affordable and delicious. Been coming since I was a kid and my grandma was one of the cooks!
Yes they do the best burgers. Great service
Goood food whole menu great staff
I gave this place 2 stars, because while the food was very good, the portion sizes were TINY & the prices were INSANE. It cost us over 50 dollars for 2 fish & chip dinners & 2 pieces of pie. The pie was tiny & half was wasted in the cardboard box they gave us it in. If the homemade coleslaw & fish wasn't so good, I would've gave you 1 star.
good food all of it steak my favourite its all godod veal pasta ????
Great atmosphere , great food , really great servers . They are patient , kind and know the menu. Graceful . It's a very calming place to eat
A wonderful dining experience, as always. Always great food and fantastic service!
Great place to eat. Good food reasonably priced. Service was good too
Great perch dinner excellent service????
My husband and I recently moved to Port Colborne and visited this location with a few friends who road in on a day trip. Food was excellent and service as well. My Husband swears by the Hot Roast Beef meal with his glass of milk. Thanks for the great lasting impression.
It was a while ago and the details are fuzzy. I remember the food being very good. The service was top notch and we had a great time. This was our second restaurant attempt in Port Colborne after our first was mediocre. Walters and Neptunes was a much better choice. We'll be back for sure.
What an excellent place to gather with friends and eat a delicious meal! Food was well-presented, tasty and the ambiance was wonderful. We enjoyed ourselves dining there recently and would go back again. Lovely waitress who knew the menu and was very attentive and friendly. Great location.
Food was fantastic and the service was great. Greek and regular food. Saganaki was yummy. I had a hot Turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and peas. My hubby had the special which was quiche and it too was yummy. We don't normally order dessert, but their desserts are homemade. I had chocolate cream pie and hubby had the baklava. We went to Port Colborne just to go to Walter's.
good atmosphere, good portions, and food has a home cooked taste to em! bit of a wait for food to come out, but if you are patient, you will not be disappointed.
Charged us $3.95 for an extra piece of Bread and $3.95 to substitute salad for rice . Rip off!!
The best restaurant in Port Colborne for an authentic home cooked meal and a clean and inviting environment. Worth the drive to PoCo from anywhere in the region if you want top quality, authentic Greek food.
