The meal was wonderful friendly service
Great food. Friendly staff.
What an amazing place to have supper at, the interior was lovely, staff was friendly, food was amazing. Don't really know what else to say other than I loved it. My utmost respect to the chef everything was delicious. You have definitally earned me as a repeat customer.
Great Home Style restaurant. food is phenomenal ????
Amazing restaurant, delicious food....superb waitress.
Great food. Slow service
This is a very comfortable place to dine. The view from the table of the bay was quite pleasing at sunset. The service was excellent, Paying great attention to detail. There are several tasty appetizers to choose from a wonderful selection of local wines and beer and the main course delicious. Follow up with decadent dessert and you are feeling fully relaxed. I would definitely recommend this place for family and friends to get together for a repeat performance.
We found this little restaurant exceptionally delightful. Absolutely delicious steak and seafood. Amazing chef and wait staff. ????????????????????????
Very good food and good service. They have uncle leo's beer. Local brewery
A dining experience for those who want to sit down for an hour or two. Their aesthetic is the very pricey dining experience, which of course caters to some individuals. Food quality was okay, but not reflecting how much the dish costs. Take out is strange as it comes with a dollar store plate that is to be brought back. Interesting touch, but unexpected. (Photo= pasta with Alfredo sauce + chicken, 30$) I would try again!
Great taste, menu options and amazing hospitality by the staff. Very good for special occasions. Would love to return soon.
Excellent service, friendly staff, tasteful decor, and most importantly: delicious food. Exceeded my expectations!
Beautiful interior, great atmosphere, delicious food and great service. A mist visit.
A true Pictou County staple and a must dine for all visitors. Matt & Brenda (proprietors) offer the utmost of service and attention to quality.
Out standing ! The seafood dishe was perfectly cooked and the dessert was to die for ! My kids eat every bite and my husband loved the steak! The whole experience was out standing. We will be back forsure.
It is absolutely perfect!
What a fabulous experience! The food was delicious! The service was excellent! The atmosphere was so nice. We had a group of 15 and everyone loved it! One of the cooks (maybe the owner) came out and kindly offered to take a group photo. He even printed it for us before we left. I cannot find anything to fault with this place! I highly recommend this place to everyone! Thank You So Much!! Martin Kavanaugh
Excellent food and service. Not far off Pictou rotary.
Excellent food! a bit of a wait for food on the table but we weren't in a hurry and the food well worth the wait.Very pleasant surroundings and staff/ server friendly, helpful and efficient. A most pleasant dining experience.
We visit Pictou every year on summer vacation and always make a point to make reservations at Piper's. Great food, nice ambiance, fantastic scenery. If you have a palate for very rich foods and recipes, this is the place for you.
Lovelly place. Good service and food.
Beautiful place, great ambiance and delicious food.
Quiet, elegant but accessible, great service. Bathrooms not well maintained.
Perfect place in a beautiful setting amazing food served by helpful local staff. The only other place we send our guests when in Pictou
Excellent food and service.
A little on the pricier side, but we were celebrating. Food was very good, but not a spot we'd go regularly (mostly because of cost).
Neptune Haddock with oven roasted potatoes is my favorite meal there.
Food was ok, but very pricey
Beyond the excellent service from Cathy, the food was excellent. We started with two orders of mushroom caps stuffed with lobster shared among the four of us. I ate the blackened haddock, one person had the scallops with chicken, another had the scallops in garlic sauce and the other had the seafood casserole. We had apple cake with rum sauce and an incredible brownie desert. Unreserved recommendation.

Pipers Landing has always been a great experience for us. The food is great and the service has always been friendly

Our yearly anniversary spot. Matt, the owner, takes a photo of us each visit. Nice looking back over the years.
Am amazing little gem hidden away off the main paths. The stuffed mushroom caps are a must and we get them every time we go!
Great food; friendly service; lovely atmosphere! Just perfect!
Our anniversary every year. Owner/Chef Matt Voss takes our photo every year. Prints and gives us a good sized picture.
Fantastic meals! Staff and service..... perfect!
Nice place for dinner.
Great place for a nice calm dinner. Great location. Great service with great food.
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE -Grew up in the area, loved their food for many years, recently flew home for brothers wedding from Alberta and to see my parents, one 79 & the other 78 , first time seeing them in 2 years due to COVID and travel restrictions. Stopped in to book their best table for Saturday evening and the family before we head back to the west . Met the owner Brenda at the door, explained who I was and who parents were, explained how I was home for the wedding and that we and the family were craving their food …… Only to be asked, “Have you been out of the Maritimes recently?” To which I replied honestly, Yes, I live in Alberta, to which I was escorted to the door , while saying we don’t serve people from outside the Maritimes, explained how I’ve eaten there dozens of times, that “I” and the whole family have followed every rule to be allowed travel, ( both vaccines , tests before after we flew, all required paperwork filled out fir travel , e c etc ) Did not matter, she ( Brenda did not even stop while ushering me to the door) we don’t serve outside the Maritimes !!! Both my parents are high risk due to age , as well as my daughter , we’ve followed all the rules and recommendations without hesitation , to come home to our little town , and to be treated like that !!!! Like some diseased alien …. I was shocked , absolutely shocked . Beware if you go, I guess , and be prepared to lie if you’re from anywhere outside the owners narrow mind, or you to, may find yourself ushered to the door!!!! In short Used to be great food, but service has gone to the ……
An excellent meal. Expect a hour for your meal, but worth the wait. I would suggest ordering an appetizer to pass the time. For most people this is a place to go for a special occasion.
Finest restaurant in the Maritimes!
This was very nice. Very soothing sitting by the water. Enjoyed all of the food (the turnips/carrots were really nicely done). The pricing is a little higher than some places but you get the atmosphere and the good service.
Excellent food and service. Not rushed at all. Stuffed mushroom appetizer was the best, entree was excellent.
While we have eaten at Pipers Landing before, and always love their menu, we were especially impressed this time. The owners and staff have gone all out on Covid safety. When you make your reservation the last thing said is that when you arrive you are to call the inside phone and they will come out to get you. Each table is seated individually and the door is locked between guests seatings. There is sanitizer as you walk in, masks are mandatory and tables are six feet apart. Once seated you can remove your mask but all staff have masks or face visors. If you need the washroom you are asked to speak to your server so they can make sure the room is not being used and has been cleaned between users. We felt very comfortable that all precautions were not only considered but also enforced. This attention to detail and an amazing menu sets Pipers Landing above the competition in our opinion! Well done owners and staff. We will see you again soon!
Great meal and service highly recommended
Dine in
Beautiful meal as always!! Great atmosphere and great food!!
It is our home away from home, while we are in Nova Scotia for the summer. We come here all the time and have never had a bad experience. Everything is made from scratch, from the blackened NY strip to the schnitzel to the veggie pasta, and it is all so good! And our children love it, too! Don't forget to try a pint of the local craft Weiss beer. And, if you don't save room, make sure you take a slice of the turtle cheese cake home with you. ????
Delicious food!
Amazing fine dining experience, wonderful food and service..
Took my wife for Valentines supper, Not very impressed with the level of service we received this time. We have come here for eleven years. This time there was way more emphasis put on the larger tables. We waited and waited for our server to bring our drinks, didn’t receive bread basket until we finished our salads even though two servers said a couple of times that they would go get it for us. Meal was okay, potatoes weren’t cooked properly. When we pay $142.00 for two people to eat , We expect to have an enjoyable experience, And not to be apologized to by our server again and again because she is held up at other tables. We were very dissatisfied with this visit, and it was certainly not worth the cost. Rip Off.
Paid $32 for the pan fried haddock in lobster sauce. The fish was extremely overcooked with dry crusty edges and the lobster in the sauce was tough and chewy.
It was ok. Little details would have made our experience better . Please do not go table to table filling up water into cups people already drink out of. **Covid** They need more staff to be able to serve food "Piping" hot. Just lackluster compared to other places nearby. Peter Setera on repeat played too loud vibes and no cohesive identity.
Awesome meal as always. Looking forward to the next time.
Excellent service. They ask questions when you make your reservation and do what they can to make the evening special. Once they know you they automatically ensure your preference is available. Very good food. One of the better restaurants in Pictou County
The food was amazing, the service was outstanding, the chef even took time to say hello. We will definitely be back.
The food was very good and the service was great. Would definently recommend it for anyone who enjoys fine dining.
I've been hesitant to write this review. We have been here many times over the years being local residents. Always been very good, so this is the first time we weren't pleased. We are not ones to air our complaints at the restaurant. We had dinner on May 11, 2019, day before Mother's Day, so it was busy. However we weren't there because of Mothers Day, (that's why we chose Saturday), but for a nice dinner to celebrate my husband's retirement. First, it was a limited menu, which we were unaware of. And on that menu, the prices were higher than on the main menu that they left up coming in the door. Not by a lot, but nobody likes to know they are paying more on already high prices. Our friends came along with us, but probably won't return. Our reservation was for 6pm, but it was 8pm before we got our food. I guess there was a little mix up in kitchen. Maybe when something like that happens, they could offer a beverage on the house, or an appetizer, or at least bring another bread basket. I ordered the scallops and shrimp in the lemon garlic sauce. Was tough, and on the plate there were only 3 of each. For a meal over $30, I expect more, and good. Was disappointing. My friend found the seafood tough as well. So, this time...they dropped the ball. We should've waited until the next week to go. This review may have been much different. Unfortunate.
This is normally my favorite restaurant to go to, and have been many many times, unfortunately last night may have been our last. We go many times for special occasions and New Years is always one of them, The place was overbooked for New Years, the service was non-existent, over 40 minutes wait after finishing our meal, for the bill, with people watching and waiting impatiently to be seated, so dessert, coffee, tea was not an option. The oven roasted potatoes were not cooked, very hard, the beef tips , which i have had before and loved, were 4 pieces of chewy tough meat and an entire onion by the looks of it, in gravy. The shrimp and scallops were 3 shrimp and 5 small scallops, and the usual veggies. Unfortunately at points in time one was unable to talk to people at the same table with the loud singer that was wandering around the dining room. This was so out of character, the service is usually top notch as it the food, it was like we were in the wrong place, and definitely the wrong time! We watched people leave, others not waited on while one table would get stellar service, some people even asked if they could now order after waiting so long. Perhaps overbooking the evening was a huge mistake, when we left, there were over 20 people waiting for their reservations.
Great food!

Just A+ in every way! The food is delicious and Matt and Brenda are just awesome people! ❤️????????
This was my second visit to Piper's Landing in my two trips out to Nova Scotia. The food is amazing. Some of the best I've had! The seafood mushroom caps are jam packed with seafood and delicious.
