We always try to stop here when going through Peterborough. We can usually get a black forest ham for half the price in our regular grocery stores. Also, I like the music the store plays. Today, for example, I heard the Four Seasons "Rag Doll".

Not about quality of products in the store. This is about the lack of procedures and safety of workers and customers during pandemic. Parking lot full , even back portion no lines outside meaning all people in store or garden centre. That store is so small ! We left and won't be returning. Reported and others should report too since two other posts comment on same topic.

The garden centre is amazing. I don't shop in the store because it's out of the way, but we are excited when the garden center opens and are never disappointed.

Love this place. Best pepperoni you can buy from a store, hands down. Phenomenal steaks that are decently priced, so many random great finds! Random great sales that we stock right up on! One of the only places to sell Reid's Dairy. Greatness all around

Prices are good, staff are awesome. We went in thinking it was part of the Farmboy chain but the vintage neon signage and display cases let us know pretty quickly it was something else. A great blast from the past, I would recomend.

Newly renovated which was desperately needed. A very good selection of meat products and now vegetables are fresh. I love going here in the summer for small plants hanging baskets and plants for my vegetable garden. There's a huge selection reasonably priced

This place is doing well despite the pandemic and is still able to offer good deals on a variety of items. Has an expansive garden center which is usually quite busy on the weekends. A suggestion to go during dinner time or 30 min before closing is a good one as parking is limited and it can get a little jammed up. A great place to find value!

well i have bought meat there for years. I now come to find out they are blade tenderizing there steaks. bad call! now the steaks have to be cooked to well to ensure the bacteria is killed. iblike mine med rare or rare. so you have lost a customer! be ware!!!

Excellent value for money, meat quality is a solid 7/10 for grocery store meats is better than most but obviously not butcher quality. Service is good and typically don't have to line up too long.

Best value for chicken/beef/pork and deli, they have been expanding the fruit and veg selection too! I would love to see them carry fresh herbs, and other meats such as Lamb and Goat, but that is doubtful. Their homemade sausages are great! Very friendly staff.

Good inventory of fresh and cured meats, fish etc as well as everyday groceries. Lots of great prices. Nursery also well stocked and prices reasonable. Staff super efficient and friendly. Parking available but always crowded.????

This is a fun little place to shop. You walk into the store and it feels like a walk back in time. Even the check-outs sound 80ish The steaks are so thick and delicious, they make your mouth water just looking at them in the cooler, reasonable in price too. The only thing I wish that they would get is more parking space, you have to fight for that spot every time.

I make the hour long drive once a month because they make it well worth it. You honestly cannot beat their meat prices and the quality is that of a grade A butcher. Not to mention that summer is upon us and their garden center has a huge selection of super cheap flowers. I'll be a repeat customer for years to come.

The management is not enforcing covid-19 protocols. Manager wearing mask under his chin while talking to a customer, and allowing groups of unmasked people in store during busiest hours. Manager quickly pulled up his mask when I tried to photograph him, and an employee physically blocked me from photographing a group of Anti-maskers at cashier.

Good deals too be had here. This is a great spot to stop and grab some of your key grocery items. We love that they carry Reid's chocolate milk at a good price. Definitely a great supplement shopping location to your normal stores if it isn't your main store itself.

Best personal service that I have ever gotten from any store. I mentioned to Dave (who could be the manager) that I only come to Peterborough on Sundays and that he is always out of everything bagels on Sundays. Well this Sunday while shopping there he retrieved 3 bags of bagels that he saved for me in the office. I was blown away. Thank you!! Also this store has the best prices on meat. Today T bones were only $9.99 a pound. Fabulous!

I always love going to Farmboy. All their meat is great and at good prices as well. They have a great variety of different styles of meats, a great deli, and nice produce. Even the staff is always nice and polite. Not alot of parking though, so you may have to park close by. But it's totally worth it. A great store.

Quality is normally good prices are fair, my only and biggest issue is the tiny parking lot not enough room people flying in and out not paying attention it honestly feels like a battle each time I go to get a spot and not get myself hit by the tons of people not paying attention, it needs to be set up better and there are plenty of things that can be done to help this issue would be a 5 star review if parking and parking lot safety were not this horrible.

The young staff here are incredible! Gives me hope for the future. In particular, the young man who wipes down the cart had a brief but pleasant conversation with me as he got my cart sanitized. His manners were impeccable. Cheers to his mom and for those that hired him. He is a gem! The young lady who checked me out was the same. Friendly and engaging and perfectly appropriate. My review is about the garden section. They have the best selection of veggie & flower seeds and plants in the area. A few days ago I called to ask about a specific seed. Dale , to my surprise actually checked out the seed rack but they didn't have it. This morning he called to tell me he had a pack of the seeds in his office for me. I couldn't believe he went to that extent to help a customer. Thank you Dale!

Unless a crazy sale is on somehwere else, this is my go to for the usual dinner meats. Clean, fresh, well priced and can have some great sales. In the summer we also get alot of our garden plants and flowers here.

Great prices on meat! Most of the good deals they have on meat are also great cuts too! You do have to watch what your picking out though as from package to package the quality of the cut can change greatly but pay attention to what your putting in your cart! The store could use a face lift and be cleaned up a little. But all in all great deals!

Always super friendly staff and best prices on fresh deli meats by far the best selection and prices in the Kawartha/Peterborough regions. Not the best place to buy non perishable stuff though better off going to big box for that stuff. But their meat prices can't be touched, and always fresh.

We just came back from Farmboy Markets and were very disappointed. They were not sanitizing their carts. The store was PACKED. There was no social distancing whatsoever. We have ALWAYS felt comfortable shopping there, but today we didnt.

The best store in Peterborough for meats, deli and produce. There have been vast improvement made to this store in the last few years. I think maybe new management? It's so much cleaner, brighter and organized. I have shopped here for years! The meat prices can't be beat and if the cut you want isn't in the fridges, the butchers will get you exactly what you want. The cashier's are mostly fantastic, there's one unfriendly small lady, her name starts with a D but it escapes me right now, that's been there for years and seems to not like her job or any customers. I just avoid going to her line. The produce section is terrific and there is much more fresh selection than there used to be. The deli section has the best prices. It seems that their prices never go up. I was embarrassed for the lady in front of me, she was being served by the older lady, that's also been there forever, with the pink hat. Pink hat lady was so ride and abrupt. The customer looked so embarrassed. Thankfully the lady with the glasses served me. She is always so incredibly pleasant and always makes sure I get exactly what I want. The grocery section is a little smaller than it used to be. And the prices are higher than most stores. But they do have some really good weekly deals. The garden centre in the summer is unbeatable. Such a great healthy selection. And the man that runs it is so helpful and knowledgeable. Other reviewers are right, the parking is not always the best. I just park at Burger King. And sometimes Peterborough this week. I suggest if you haven't been here to check it out.

Farmboys brings you that taste of a small town grocery store in the city. Some meat can be expensive but they have many deals on all kinds of items. Watch out for the parking lot! The big delivery truck has been known to block the cars in before.

Farmboy Market Peterborough has lots of plants, annuals and perennials, along with food in a sparate side of the building, but the small, awkward, and most times congested parking lot area disinclines me to even want to visit Farmboy; in other words the hassle of parking is not worth the visit for me. Helpful staff. Small parking area. Wheelchair accessible entry with assistance.
