If we are in Perth and in need of a coffee, Coutts is the place to go. They have a great variety of coffee products and other beverages. While limited in their "menu" the food is always good. Also, it is pretty amazing how fast we can get in and out of Coutts when we are just there for beverages. Compared to some of the typical "chain" places around, Coutts is super fast serving up a hot mug of Java. If you are looking to sit and relax, Coutts also has a fantastic location with lots of seating options. We particularly like sitting on the patio (which is right along the river) during the summer. You can buy beans, tea and they have a wide variety of mugs and accessories. Do check out Coutts when you are in Perth.

Great little spot to work/study. I keep coming back every time im in Perth. The building it is in used to be a factory that's been turned into the coziest, most unique-looking commercial strip you are going to find around. Coffee is great (all fairtrade and exceptional quality) , so are the snacks. Oh, did I mention there's live jazz on some afternoons?

Driving through and was looking for somewhere I could spend some time waiting out of the cold with my four year old son. The lady at the front that was helping me was very kind and offered me vegetarian options. It is clean, quiet and beautiful inside. The coffee is also excellent. I will definitely come back. Walked in with the intention of getting lunch on Jan 7 2022, past the new signs with recent capacity restrictions and message about mandatory masking, sanitized my hands, then noticed that the staff at the counter have no masks on. No barrier, not even a face shield, nothing, like it was 2019. I can empathize people taking a break to have a drink when customers aren’t around, but there were several customers in the store already, including the person whose order was being taken at the counter. I used to be a fan of this place and prior to this incident Coutt’s seemed to have a good handle on things. I don’t know what happened but there is no excuse for this anymore. Do not visit if you don’t want COVID.

AmaZing environment- they were able to make an almond/ coconut milk late instead of dairy based for me, created me - a stranger- with kindness and asked all the patrons how they were doing, could tell there were personal relationships with each of them. Great WiFi.

I haven't been there in a while but last time I went it was great! They had WIFI (though not super great WIFI. Good enough though for what I needed at the time) there is also great seating were you can face the water as you sip on your drink. I also liked how they had a bunch of flavors for their lemonades and some nice pastries! I think it's worth a stop for sure if you are passing through or a new local. I took one star off because of WIFI which isn't a huge deal really. It just made the experience a little less than excellent. I think when I go again I will expect it so it won't be such a bummer.

TL:DR - owner is a jerk, they seem to just care about the $ - What happened: I knew this place was new so I went to check it out but just had lunch so wasn't hungry but asked for some water, no problem, so far so good. I looked around and see they have another room, check it out, they have yet another so there's lots of places to sit inside. They also have a nice new patio on the Tay. It wasn't busy so I asked about the history because I knew the company wasn't new in town but this location is, they explain, all good. I also asked a bit about the menu etc, one weekly item isn't priced which is annoying but I guess the owner was sitting there watching me the whole time, she comes up to me and asks me in an aggressive and threatening way "why are you asking all these questions?!? Who are you? Who are you with, why are you here? If you want up know about my store then why wouldn't you ask me about it directly?!?" Shocked and surprised I tried to explain that I'm just a local customer, I'm not "with anyone" and she says "well you didn't buy anything! What are you doing here? Where are you from?!?" To be fair, I at least wasn't asked to leave, but again I explained that I'm just checking the place out because i hadn't been there before, she storms off and a man who was with her started trying to sell me their second location, when I said no he was telling me that there are lots of loans and grant programs available but after the interrogation they gave me there's no way I'm interested in their business at all. One of the most bizarre experiences I've ever had when visiting a new place. They're also quite pricey, NOT recommended.

Great coffee and very friendly staff! I work nearby and (maybe it’s a sign I drink too much coffee) when I walk in they greet me by name and are often prepping my coffee before I even get to the counter. They roast their own coffee so it doesn’t get any fresher. They have other drinks too if you’re not into coffee.

Excellent place: tasty coffee and tea, you can buy all kinds to make it at home/work as well. Kind and polite staff. Everything is fast. Place has excellent interior and outside seating options: there is a terrace above the little canal. Parking on the street or there is a city parking lot pretty close. If you visiting Perth, this place is a must. Cinnamon buns and other deserts are great! You can have your coffee with all kind of extra things: watch for the signs or talk to staff.

Really good atmosphere and the view from their deck/patio is scenic. Coffee is really good, and their sandwiches are pretty tasty. Tried their cafè mocha with a smoked salmon sandwich on a multigrain croissant and was happy with what I got. Will definitely be back when I'm in the Perth area again, and highly recommend a stop when in the region.

We get a dozen made up which we order ahead So that we can share them in the AM....1 Eccles =2 happy folks! This is a great spot, beautifully situated by the Tay Waters. Whatever we have had here has been spot-on great.

Very good coffee from a local coffee roaster in the heart of Perth serving fair-trade organic coffee beans. Fiddleheads blend is my current fav, a med-dark. Great to support local business with a coffee rewards program in return. Store also serves lunch, and sweets, and some local crafts.

Staff got our order wrong and just said "I heard it was 2 decafs" instead of fixing our order or even apologizing She "heard" it from the cashier and not us. Rude service, no masks on the 3 staff (unless your staff is in a bubble this is unacceptable. And I'm sure they don't want to be in a bubble with co-workers over their own friends and family...), bitter and burnt coffee, bad vegan milk options.

Great coffee, this is where I buy my beans... very few Ottawa roasters can compete. Get a coffee here while you enjoy the beautiful town of Perth and buy a bag of beans to enjoy at home. Also a reaaaaally great London fog if you are a tea drinker. Lots of cute take-out mugs available for purchase.

The food here is great, so is the coffee. I struggled watching the unmasked staff prepare food. Sign states: we are safe behind the glass. This may be true, but if you are sick you may spread your sickness since you are not masked. In the interest of the health of your customers, this no mask behind the counter policy needs to be reviewed. Edit: owner's explanation that they are following local health inspection guidelines is acceptable. I'm from out of town and our local guidelines are obviously different ( masks are mandatory). I'll amend my original 3 star to reflect the service and food I received the weekend of July 31.

Came here to warm up with hot drinks and sandwiches. The location was a nice cute building, unfortunately seating was closed due to government restrictions so we got take out. Staff were friendly and service was prompt. The drinks were excellent, we had the hot chocolate and tea. Sandwiches tasted good, but the portion size was disappointing and left us still hungry. For the price we expected something more substantial. Besides the portion size of the sandwiches everything else was good. We would love to return if we could get a better value.
