Ate my first ever Chou Chou here, a poutine topped with coleslaw chicken and peas. Loved it. The restaurant is serving outdoor only during the pandemic and we waited about 15 minutes in line outside and 15 minutes at a picnic table for our 3 orders. The staff were hustling and also enforcing physical distancing. Be ready to order when you get to the front of the line!

My husband and I walked in on our first visit and waited around 7 minutes infront of the cash before anyone even said hi EVEN THOUGH THEY KEPT LOOKING AT US. A woman came back infront asking if we have been served when clearly we have not? Then she yelled out to a young woman that had tattoos on her arms, one that was written "MAUDE". When she came to see us, she didnt even say hi, only got an annoyed "oui?" I then asked if the fish and chip had dairy and she replied annoyed again, "I dont understand what you mean by dairy". And I replied, "milk, butter, cream?" And she said " no there is not other than mayonaise but mayo has no dairy". My husband and I were so frustrated by her attitude that we just left and she did not even care neither did she say bye or have a good day. How don't you understand what dairy products mean?? Especially when you work in the restaurant industry you are supposed to know what is in all the food items on your menu. This was our first visit and will be our last and will be telling our family members who live in Gaspé not to go there anymore.

Food wise I would give this resturant a 5 as for service I would give it a minus 5. There is nothing ruder then have a waitress not even try to understand our horrid English. You do know that French money and English money all looks and spends the same right!! The food was absolutely amazing there was no doubt about that.
