Click and collect is a joke at this location, they are under staffed and two experiences in a row I have waited 1.5 hours past my time slot to receive the groceries. Also received a call on our most recent click and collect order saying they are an hour behind. How is the store an hour behind after an hour of being open?? The employees are even saying they are under staffed when they hand off the groceries- Hint to management. Staff up or don’t offer the service.

Good clean store. Often their sale prices aren't on the register which is super frustrating. Last time I went to the store, 2 of 3 sales prices didn't activate on the register. The cashier was less than helpful in ensuring the problem was resolved. Frustrating.

Went to the pharmacy today to get a flu shot.. BIG sign at the front of the desk that says flu shots available by walk in and appointment.. The desk is busy and I have to wait about 10 minutes...no biggee.. finally my turn and I am told oh sorry we arent doing flu shots today just Covid??!!? I pointed out the large sign at the front of the desk but it fell on deaf ears.. Seriously... if you have a frickin sign at the desk that says you do it...then do it!!! Reat assured I will not be back to this pharmacy again for anything..

Not a good customer service experience at all! This place has the worst pharmacist ever. The new young girl has no idea what she is talking about and telling her customers in an extremely bad attitude the WRONG information, that is when she decides to serve her customers. Stand there as long as you wan't if she's "busy" she won't help you until you say "hello!" I'll be switching to Shoppers.

PC EXPress is Not Great though. “Heather” who I Believe to be the Manager of PC EXPRESS is not Kind. I Have been in the store a Couple times for Optical, to use the restroom, and to Purchase a couple things to hear someone yelling in the PC EXPRESS Area. I look Over and See “heather” yelling at what looks to be A Group of Teenagers. It Was Very troubling, and as an older Woman myself, being yelled at as a Teenager by my boss in such a Mean way, I Would feel Very Stressed all the time. THIS IS NOT GOOD FOR THE KIDS MENTAL HEALTH!!! Very Dissappointing and embarassing too see. Over All, PC EXPRESS was a Good Service a Few Months ago. my order Now is Never on time and i have heard that Some Kids are being Blamed for it. This is Not fair!!!!!

This is the last super market I ever want to go to. The absolute last resort. The produce is usually terrible. The prices are excessive. You will find people shopping there without a mask and no employee enforces the mask policy. And the pharmacy is so dubious. The optical is probably the only thing worth it in there.

Booked a PC Express Pick Up order for 12pm. The morning of pick up, received a phone call that my order would be delayed. When I asked how long of a delay, she said it would be "about two hours." Ended up canceling my order and going in to get it myself. My husband is going through cancer treatments, so we try to keep him (and myself) safe by keeping outings to a minimum. This was an inconvenience that could become life-threatening to him in this pandemic. Not too happy today Zehrs.

For a quick quality snack while your on the run that is satisfying for me it's the Zehrs hot case right inside beside the entrance. You can pick up two nice piece's of chicken with a side like potato wedges or onion rings for six dollars plus tax. They have chicken fingers, pieces of chicken, macaroni & potato salads plus quite a bit more hot case items. Kind of like a buffet, chose the type chicken piece you like dark or white. The only problem I find is you have to cash out with the grocery people, I wish they would always have the till open & available at the hot case. RETRACTION: Today is April 16th 2021 & I needed something nutritious to eat so I once again stopped in for a hot case item. I just wanted to add that Zehr's has a self checkout for the hot deli now debt only but quicker than going back to the main cash out. The chicken was really good today, 2 pieces of chicken & onion rings $6. Satisfying.

Zehrs used to be one of the few places to get certain things you’d otherwise have to drive out of the city for, but they’re slowly getting rid of these great brands and products to replace them with their own President’s Choice brand, which are usually inferior in comparison. We are no longer shopping here because of this.

If you are planning to do an online order and pick up at this location don't waste your time!! My order was not ready within my time window then when I came back 3 hours later it was still not ready. Every time I called they claimed it "was just being bagged". I decided to leave and come back even later and when I arrived they told me that there was no order? This is probably something management should look into seeing as grocery pick up is a crucial service at this current time. Disappointing.

We do 90% of our shopping here. Good location, even when it is busy they have every till open and we get in an out quickly. The aisles are big, the food quality is great, and the PC Plus deal gets us about $60-80/month in free food. Along with 10 cents a litre off gas coupons.

I am beyond impressed for the service I received today at Zehrs. I've always had a pleasant shopping experience here finding good quality food and good sales, but today when my two week old started crying an employee politely offered a private space to feed her! I normally have to sit in my car with a blanket over me! Thank you to the staff who offered the space to feed my baby, it saved me from cutting my shopping short!!

I saw a woman shopping without a mask and asked her where her mask was. She said "no thank you" and kept shopping. I found an employee and asked for them to get a manager to deal with the situation and they informed me that they don't require masks. Put my things back and left. Don't forget to read the last paragraph 2. Well, they've lost a star with me. Remember I told you I loved going there for that delicious full bodied sour dough brea. Sadly it has shrunken into regular sized, airy, tasteless fluff. I was upset the first time it happened but the bread kept coming home the same. No texture, barely any flavor, full of air fluffy. If I wanted that, I'd go buy a cheaper loaf of reg. white bread. Also, I have been disappointed in their baby celery. You take it out of the pkg. and it's all slimy at the other end and the stalks are dry and grainy through out. Just be careful when you buy veggies and fruit that is packaged. You will get some surprises. BUT....There is a lot of variety to choose from in every department. The drug store and optical office, the wine shop and the floral shop make it a multi-taskers dream.

I had a horrible experience dealing with Kathy the supervisor. long story short i found a plant that had a sale sticker on it for 50% off with excitement i quickly ran it inside to claim the item. I called Kathy over to help me out and she promptly did so by asking me to wait at the till while she got the original price tag, after standing there for 5 minutes waiting she came back telling me this bogus story about how people have been putting stickers on the plants and getting them at a lower cost insinuating that i had put the tag on the plant... I told her that she has to give me the plant at the sale price as per section 74.05 of The Competition Act . she looked at me and ripped the sticker off saying "no i don't" she then grabbed the plant and proceeded to carry it back outside. i asked for her name and assured her i would be writing a review, she then shouted across the parking lot that she did her job. I hundreds of dollars every week at this location and now i'm starting to think that i shouldn't continue this trend.

This is a big store with all the good stuff. It has a great hot food area with my favorite hot southern fried chicken. A huge produce area great meat counter. It's a very busy store and the employees are awesome. They have reorganized the traffic flow in the isle and protective plexiglass shielding around the teller areas for COVID-19 prevention. It's in a good area also with other stores nearby.

Staff have allowed patrons to not wear masks, and to (also) walk not in the directions required (up or down aisles). I asked one unmasked woman if she had forgotten her mask and offered her a spare: she said no and kept walking the wrong way down an aisle. This was in view of staff. I hate to say anything bad about this store, but perhaps this post will help it understand it should take action, and support its workers to enforce its rules (they deserve support in this).

Has some of the best produce in town. It also has deli, fish, , bakery and meat departments. The middle of the of the store has a Joe Fresh section with a wide assortment of clothing for kids. The prices are a bit on the higher side but the bakery will give kids a cookie if you ask.

The most recent return (this past weekend) was the icing on the cake. The chicken thighs were green and smelled of rotting meat, with a best before date of June 29th. It actually made me sick just from handling it. I should have know better and not purchased it, all the chicken (under the chicken section in the meat department AND in the open cooler) were COVERED in sticky chicken juices. And when I returned the chicken the next day the customer service rep said that they knew there was a problem (turns out I wasn’t the only one that returned) but her manager was shocked to hear about it. Needless to say, Woodstock Zehrs is ok, has a good selection but is always busy, and crowded unless you go late at night, but I’ll stick to a different Zehrs where I work. At least that way I know I won’t get sick from just touching their fresh meat.

My biggest problem at Orillia Zehrs is the lack of price signs. Alot of items are 2 for ?...but are NOT signed this way. Alot of times it is difficult to tell what is on sale. Great store! I grew up with a zehrs in my hometown and always enjoyed it but they ended up rebranding it as a Great Canadian Superstore and lost some of it's charm. After moving to this area I was very excited to see that not all the Zehrs were closed or transformed and this place has that charm I missed from the old store of my youth. The store is big! They have a great selection of everything, excellent service, and a wine rack if you're looking for something to go along with your dinner. The only thing they could improve is there Men's section in their Joe Fresh department. It's pretty pathetic. One more thing I found interesting is recently I went to use their blood pressure monitor near the pharmacy and was very impressed with the new system they have for evaluating your health. Not only does it do BP but its also a scale and a body fat calculator. After an accessment it can email the results and will store the information on your own personal account.

Floral department did the flowers for our wedding. Unfortunately when my mother went to pick up the flowers at 8am on day of wedding they were not ready as they wrote the day wrong (we got married on a Friday which is a little unusual). The folks working created the bouquets and boutonniere to the same standard they would have without the rush. They delivered to my mother's home before we were to leave for the ceremony at 10 am and gifted us a beautiful orchid. In addition they refused payment for the error and inconvenience. Above and beyond customer service to make things right and smooth for our big day. Will recommend over and over again. Thank you for making our day special.

Terrible service. I placed my order on the weekend for pick-up to be on Tuesday 7pm-8pm. The app said it was ready and I called the store and they said it was being picked. Over a period of 3 hours I waited to get my order. I called them a few times to see if they maybe couldn't find my car, as other vehicles had gotten orders that arrived after me. The employee working said "OH I'm sorry, I've talked to you a couple times. We're picked several ahead of you. We're now picking 9pm orders. We should be out shortly." This was at 805pm. We were 7pm, I'm writing this at 945pm and still no order to my vehicle. This is unacceptable. I understand it's the week of Christmas and a pandemic. But this is wrong. I wouldn't have come to wait in a parking lot in the winter for 3 hours. Absolutely unacceptable!

I went into the Joe fresh section, picked up a dress. I looked around for an attendant so I could try it on, when I couldn't find one I decided I would just exchange it the next day if it didn't fit. So my three kids and I went about paying for our groceries. Took the dress back in brand new condition with tags and receipt, just to be told no exchange. I was very upset. I should have never gotten excited in the first place. I just had my third baby and now my clothes don't fit me anymore. It was a really hard day for me.

Be aware of the seafood section. I have now written if off. Particularly with regards to their shell fish. On three occasions, I have purchased fresh mussels from this location. The first time, they were good. The last two times, including just now, the majority of the mussels were long pass their time. More then half of the bag, did not open when steamed. They were cooked, directly after leaving the store. Then there is the lobster. Be very weary of what they are packaging for you. If they are offering the lobster at a discount, watch how they retrieve your lobsters from the back room. Not from the front tank. Again! Twice now, I have purchased lobsters when they were on sale. They did not get the lobsters from the tank up front. Instead, they went into the back and came out with the lobsters in boxes. On both occasions again, at least half of the lobsters purchased, barely registered a pulse. Enough is enough. It's only a matter of time before these guys end up making someone sick. Providing of course, this has not happened already. Worse seafood ever! Go to Metro or Country Produce. I have never experienced such poor quality seafood as this at either.

Honestly, this has been our favourite grocery store in Woodstock since moving here, however on multiple occasions we have noticed staff not wearing masks or even face shields. We understand it can be difficult to force all customers to wear masks at all times, but staff interacting with customers, especially when distancing is difficult, should be mandatory. This comment is more for the management as opposed to other customers, as we have found our customer service to be very good here, however we do not feel safe continuing to shop at this location until a more consistent protocol is followed. Hopefully this can be corrected as this would normally be a 4 or 5 star rating, but a customers feeling of safety needs to be paramount. I hope this helps in future!

I have been shopping ( not my favorite) there since they open about 20 years ago. My experience has not been good. I am never one to complain or write reviews unless they are good but enough is enough. This is over the years culminating in today. 1) cashier dropped my credit card in tween the machine - said she didnt have time to fish it out. When I went back few hours later, told me - come back again, which I had to. 2) Bought 2 pairs of pants @29.99 each and since I was the last customer , lady was rushing to pack , one slid down. Anyways when I got home, there were no pants and store was closed. First thing next morning I went to Zehrs and saw the 2 pairs of pants at the clothing counter, rather than just take them, I went to the service desk and told them where they were. The manager/in charge of clothing was paged. She came- insisted . there was nothing on her desk. I even took her to to that counter to show her. There were no pants but then she insisted they were not grey - Then how did she know the " nothing there" were not grey. Not only that the staff was every rude. 3) There was a sel on Michelina's ready made pasta. I was at the self checkout -- instead of 99cts mine came out 1.99, the gentleman on the one infront of me also had the same problem. We both called for the lady in charge, she looked at mine THEN looked at his machine. She then went back to check and apologised to the gentleman and gave him the item for free ( as per company policy , she explained).. came to me and said item is 99cts. I asked "shouldnt I get the same item for free?" "No, we only give ONE item free thats it" In that case , I was first unless I have 2 things against me --- not male??? not white???? However at the other store I shopped at Sobeys..if a price is wrong they openly offer the item(s) for free without being asked. Over the years I have had rude attitude (at Zehrs) but then to balance out there were decent employees too. 4) Last Friday I bought a drink advertised on sign for 2.49. Description on card was the same P... sugar free and the other prices and description on the other 2 flavors were same description plus correct flavors. Price at cashiers came up 2.99. Went to service, they claimed bar code was different . Price should be 3.29!!! 5) TODAY April 14 th 2016 Kraft peanut butter is on sale this week for $4.99. There was no All natural crunchy on my 3 trips this week. Went to service desk ( calling Disservice or Abuse desk would be more appropriate).. and ask if I could have a rain check as I did not see them these past 3 trips. I certainly did not expect the tirade that came out from this lady's mouth ( First name B-A) I dont know why you have so much trouble. I have yet to issue a raincheck this week for Kraft peanut butter. Why can't you find it -- then ....(something about others not having that problem) I told her, that section of the shelf was totally empty. She called back to that section- was told, they havent had it past few times. The she gave me a rain check with an expiry date. I was fine with that, she then had to write "might not be able to use" Isn't that what the redeemed by date is for?? or is that another reason to not honor the raincheck?? ( I will wait and see on this last one) BTW I don't chase after sales but shop where its convenient but definitely keep my loyalty to store that will provide good service. as well as product.

This grocery store is a bit more pricey then some of the other grocery store's. In my opinion it is worth every penny because they have a lot of amenities such as a bakery, hot deli, cold deli, seafood, and meat station, and salad bar. There is also a flower stand, pharmacy, optical store, and wine rack. Making this a one stop shop. My personal favorite is the health food section.

After waiting in line, she sent me (9 months pregnant with a full cart of groceries) across the store to the Joe Fresh desk to return a few items of clothing. I have returned clothes at the customer service desk before so I was confused? She said that if someone is at the Joe Fresh desk, they are to return the clothes and not her (even though she is capable). I think she’s forgotten what the meaning of customer service really is.

If you go to the lottery booth and buy a $5 ticket and pay with a $20 bill they will give you $15 back, but if you win $5 on a ticket they will not give you the cash. This is the only place I really like to shop for groceries in woodstock , but lately it has been disappointing. Why is management not protecting their customers? Staff who are 'exempt' from wearing masks should not be in the aisles on the floor. The staff member we have seen not wearing a mask, not social distancing, and not following the arrows on the aisle floors has already been mentioned in other google reviews so obviously nothing is being done about this (even after an outbreak has occurred in this store). Even if you are exempt from wearing a mask for whatever reason, you are not exempt from all the other rules. They could even be provided with a less restrictive face shield instead. We have also seen several staff members at front counters without masks on as well. Management could easily place these staff members in roles in the back of the store or somewhere where they won't risk the health of customers. Very disappointed and feeling 1-star is generous in this moment.

Typically has lots of sales and 50% off products. -I’ve noticed is almost all Front End staff (cashiers) are extremely rude to the customers, they clearly do not care about their number one priority, the customer service component. -The Hot Deli has very long waits around lunch and especially dinner time, many times they don’t have a full counter to grab from. Food stops being served around 7 or 8pm. -The Cold Deli has a large variety but the prices can be steep. Staff back there are great unless you’re being served by the older lady staff, they’re rude and ignore you. I’ve seen the young boy back there on his phone and VAPING, don’t know how he’s still working there. Usually appears to only have 1 person working at night so there sometimes is a wait. They stop serving at around 8:50pm. -Meat Dept, usually a big selection in the bunkers. Very hard to track down an employee to serve me at the counter even with the bells they have to ding for service. -Bakery, lots of variety in freshly baked goods and cakes. Young blonde boy (maybe girl?) I met in the afternoon trying to order a cake was extremely rude, definitely does not care about anything involving his job. -Joe Fresh, Nice clothing selection but the manager Kathy is a real B*tch. Extremely rude to customers and employees. Barb is the lady you want to deal with in that department, super sweet. I’ve had multiple problems tracking someone down to open a fitting room for me. Usually clothes on floor when you step into the fitting room. Clothing also can run small. -Self Checkouts are DEBIT CREDIT ONLY, not really convenient when I have 1-2 items and would prefer to pay cash but with them only having 3 tills open and ridiculously long lines I’m forced to either wait forever or use debit for under $10. Overall my experience here has not been top notch. The management seems unapproachable. Hopefully the store manager is aware of my review and will make note of the disrespectful Front End staff (considering you mainly need to deal with them for buying everything) and takes all this to consideration.

Horrible customer service. only one cashier open out of a total of eight. the single cashier was obviously overwhelmed with the 30 people she had lined up. the poor lady was doing her very best and I appreciated that effort because shehad to put up with a bunch of irate customers with a bad . attitude it's not her fault the stores too cheap to pay for another employee and you'd think with it being the most expensive store in town they'd have figured out excellent customer service. we saw other employees looking and seeing that it was ridiculous and they would just not make eye contact and walk away. Not one of them stepped over to help went off to get a manager to help anything non-existent customer service. totally embarrassing for a store as large as theirs they had more employees working the deli than they did checking customers out of their store. unbelievable. last time I bother paying more money for less service what a shame

The meals to go are nice but get them home and eaten a.s.a.p the chicken and fries tend to dry out quickly. The store is beautiful inside with a great seafood and fresh meat sections. However i do find the prices to be higher then everywhere else. The bakery has a great selection of desserts and all that i've tried have been very tasty. The beer selection is impressive. A very nice store but be prepared for the bill.

I am an Instacart shopper and have had multiple issues with the customer service at this location. The first was with my mother; upon asking for assitance finding an item, an employee told her he "can't do her job for her and will need a cut of her earnings" before walking away. Another was today, instructing me to use the employee-operated tills rather than self checkout. Mind you, this may be a requirement by Zehrs and/or Instacart, but in the year I've been shopping for Instacart, not once has anyone told me that was the case. I told her I was sorry and didn't know before she cut me off saying "well, It's been a rule for a year", snubbed me and walked away. There have been other smaller run-ins with employees met with nothing but ignorance or disdain. Do the employees at this location just hate their jobs and/or their lives? Have they not been trained properly regarding basic customer service? Or do they only hire rude and miserable people? Both the Instacart and Zehrs teams are on the same side; we're all trying to provide products and services for the community, especially in these troubling times. I am anxious and reluctant to pick up orders there because of the unimaginably offensive customer service. *UPDATE* - I went back into Zehrs for another order and was going to mention what happened to customer service. The lady who was so rude and snubbed me IS the customer service manager - Vicki. There are many other reviews on here complaining abour her demeanor and courtesy while dealing with customers. I guess this is a bigger problem than I thought, considering the customer service managet has appalling customer service skills.

Went to pay for a roasted chicken at the deli, waited over 10 minutes and left. Itd be something if nobody was there to help me, but there was. Some disgruntled old bat who sat there and complained to her coworker how hard working at a grocery store is. Then proceeds to help two other people at the far end of the deli who showed up after I did. Ridiculous. Only go here if you like being served by lazy incompetent staff.

Although I shop at this location on a regular basis, today was a terrible experience. Hoards of students blocking the exits and entrances. Large groups of students blocking isles. Seemed 100s of students in the store at the same time with 0 regard for any other shoppers. Over 50 students hanging around each exit and entrance making it impossible to get in or out of the store at a safe distance. Why does the store allow this to happen? Allowing way to many people to just hang around at the doors, and way to many people inside to keep everyone safe with 0 social distancing? This was a chaotic disaster and dangerous in the parking lots. I truly hope that this changes and Zehrs will consider all people who shop here to be able to do so in a safe and non stressful way.

Yes they can be pricey and sometimes hectic but I've shopped there since moving to Woodstock (17+ yrs now) and I'm happy with them. All these negative reviews make me wonder; if you don't like them so much; why do you keep shopping there? I'm not condoning poor behaviour but working in the 'customer service' industry is not a glamorous job as customers can sometimes be rude and belligerent . . . everyone has bad days, maybe we'd be best to remember that the staff are also human beings who like to be treated as such.

Although I generally like Zehrs as a store, I do have one main beef with this particular location (Orillia). So many time I get home to realize I have been overcharged. This is not the fault of the cashiers, as they just scan the product. It is either the product is not priced correctly in the system, or sometimes the product on the shelf in front of the for sale sign, it not the product on sale. For instance the product on sale is 500gr, and the product on sale is 600gr. This seems to happen too often to just be coincidence. It’s a shame, because the store and the employees are great otherwise.

For the most part this is a great grocery store. Produce is abundant and in line price wise with the other chains. They rarely don't have what I need in every department....except chicken breast! I do my shopping here every week and only occasionally will they have a good selection of boneless skinless chicken breast. Sometimes what is there looks sketchy and I'm not paying those prices for gross looking chicken. I am not sure if this is just a stocking issue or they are really our of chicken but I can't find anyone to ask. Depending on the day of the week you may have to wait for some time in line as they'll only have one cash open but I find all the cashiers pleasant and good at their jobs.

We have been loyal customers of this Zehrs location for as long as it has been open. Encounters with the staff are usually positive and we have never really had cause for compliant. We have been keenly aware during this horrible time that there is consistantly, a young employee, in the bakery that does not wear a mask . She is visable on the front line, and is serving customers. This was making us extremly uncomfortable. Finally today I asked to speak with the store manager, Kris. When bringing forth my concerns, he told me that the employee has an exemption, and that taking action would infringe on her human rights. I suggested that perhaps she should not be serving customers, as I witnessed today, handing a lady a loaf a bread, NOT social distancing. She was also not distanced from her co workers! Kris said he could speak to her about distancing, but he was quite dismissive and didn't seem to appreciate my concern or the seiousness of the situation. He told me that Public Health does regualr inspections and they are working within the guidelines. I feel the public and our vunerable population deserve better than this, and their right to remain COVID free is just as valid. I received no response when I asked if perhaps this employee could work in the back, or at the very least not have direct customer interaction. While labour laws (WSPS) are not as clear regarding masks they are very clear and take a hard stand on social distancing. This employee in her present position can not do this. I am going to follow up with Public Health with my concerns.

This Zehrs displays their product well and is always very clean. Nice produce, meat and deli departments. Great clothing department. The only reason I do not shop there often is they are more expensive than some of the other grocery stores in everyday item products. They are a high end grocery store.

My issue is more with the pharmacy. Irregular billing and unable or unwilling to answer questions about price increases . I had a prescription that had a dramatic price increase , they blamed the insurance provider which I have found to be false . I have moved to another pharmacy that did answer my questions .
