In all of Prince George, this is probably my favorite pet store. Seeing as we don't have any local business for pet stores (except for Leviathan) I'd say this is the best of the corporates. Good pricing, good availability.

I have 4 rats from petsmart. 1 was picked up by his tail when I got him. 2 days ago I got 2 baby rats, they were in the back with about 6 other rats. All the rodents are in tiny bins.1 of the new rats is coughing a lot and breathing weirdly. Rats need airflow, space and room to climb. They aren’t getting good care at petsmart.

I went into the store this past weekend on Sunday. I’m not usually one to complain or write bad reviews but my service at the store was disappointing. I received nothing but past aggressive comments and sighing from staff throughout checkout. If you don’t want to work then don’t. I shouldn’t hear about you not wanting to be there in front of me, the customer. The store smelled rotten and none of the dog beds were clean. I won’t be going back.

I loved the variety and friendly staff. Aisles were clean and roomy for my wheelchair. However, I need a large dock for my turtle, Apple. A manager suggested a little creativity may be necessary, as they are hard to find. She needs the dock.

I would have gave all 5 stars however, the last 2 times I was there I was going to buy a bb gun however, I was told they were out back and it was to late for them to get them to show me. I've been in the customer for field most of my life and and a manager of a store so when being told "its to late" well it's never to late if the lights are on, staff is present, and if there's potential for a large sale. I believe management may need to do some more training for new staff.

It's definitely a good store in and of itself, with a wide variety of pet foods and toys and many other things one would need for pet ownership. My main gripe is with the service provided. Most of the time you can wander for quite some time before someone comes up to you and asks if you need help. It's understandable, I imagine there's quite a lot to do and most of them do seem busy whenever I shop here, however it can feel like you're on your own when it comes to finding what you're looking for. However, when the staff does assist you, they are quite cheerful and polite about it, often apologizing for not helping sooner. I have never had a bad experience here, and I do love their exclusive pet foods brands for my dogs. Their Pet Perks deals are also great when it comes to buying food and toys and beds as well.

Pretty vast selection on almost all pet related items. I frequent the store once or twice a month to gather supplies for my fishkeeping keeping Hobby. Fish always look healthy in the display tanks which is definitely a huge bonus for someone like me. I recommend PetSmart for most things. We started coming here for training for our dog and we love that the training is based on trying to get your dog excited to see you and obey out of love. Heather, the trainer, also gives lots of suggestions for tteats and toys which we appreciate. Every staff member is so awesome and nice and they always say hi. When I was having car issues they let me and my dog stay in the training centre while I was waiting for my boyfriend to come pick me up and made sure there was water for our dog. I will always come back here and recommend this store.

My son, and I decided to shop for some fish for our new hobby, only to find a lot of sick dead fish floating around in most of the tanks. My son still wanted to buy a betta fish, and it died before we could even put it in the tank. I will never shop here again for any pets. They really need to take care of their animals, and treat them like their own. Really disappointed it's such a shame.

Will never shop here again. We had our professionally trained service dog in training walking with us in the store, with her leash on the ground - a perfectly safe and reasonable exercise. A fat, bad tempered manager came over, yelling at us to control our dog. …. Who was patiently sitting at our side… This fat manager was so incredibly rude and ignorant, he’s ensured we will never set foot in Petsmart again. Lots of competition around that is much friendlier to deal with! Can’t wait to give those fine folks our money from here on out.

The employees take their sweet time at the till. I waited 15 minutes for the cashier to ring through another customer. The cashier was scanning everything so slow and commenting on each item. Then it took a other 15 minutes to do my return because the cashier was new. She got help with the return, but they started chatting about non-work related things and laughing as I was still waiting... Then she gave me attitude when I asked if she could hurry things up. No one opened another till, and I seen 3 other employees walk by. They also never have the solo coconut substrate bricks.

" I'm a photographer" get some pictures right..! while we were there my son enjoyed his visit looking through dog clothes really cool outfits for pets . stop to see some of the small animals not too many at this moment in November 2020 I'm sure because of the covid thing. but the store was not crowded it seems they have taken precautions so not too many animals are in stock that I have seen but still plenty of supplies. they have measurements on the floor for social distancing and still smiling faces on the customer service. all in all really good visit for me and my son...☺️

Staff are great, Store has lots of stuff, but my main issue is how the baby budgies are housed so that anyone can maul them. This is not right, and I spotted several sick birds. This type of housing introduces pathogens, and the birds are not allowed to snooze.It's stressful on the chicks, and unnatural. I know my stuff as I've had parrots for over 40 years.They really should not allow handling of animals unless someone is interested in purchasing.

Grooming did a horrendous job on my dog today. They shaved part of her chest for no reason whatsoever! When I called them they told me that it is normal because that is where her cowlick is and so the hair gets bladed shorter there. What?!?!?! I had been taking her to the PetSmart in Skyview Mall for 6 years and NEVER had this happen! I will definitely never be back to this PetSmart again!!

Find alot of prices more expensive than what can be found in other stores. Example is Friskies canned cat food. The small can in Walmart and Canadian Tire (CTC) is 60cents...Petsmart's regular is 78 cents. And they also don't have the selection of this brand like the above mentioned has. Tidy Cat 24/7 cat litter(12kg) is $25, CTC is $23 ais No Frills

A great place for purchasing live animals, food, accessories, and necessary items for pets. This Pet Smart carries fish, lizards, guinea pigs, hamsters, and other small pets. They have a grooming area, in-house vet, and lots of items for purchase. Ordering online here: Enter the store and immediately head right. On the entrance side of the cash registers, there is a sign for 'Pick Up.' Simply stand here and a staff member will assist you in finding your order.

And then the fish attendant questioned me on the fish and tried to assume I had no idea what was going on, which was laughable at best. Even one of the 2 plecos I bought was dead the next morning. Petsmart is a great store. But, there are still issues. Sometimes I see dead fish in the fish tanks. Some fish look very weak and sick. The feeder fish look VERY bad... the cannon thing actually KILLS the poor fish. I can tell there is lack of feeding for the fish because the fish eat eachother. ;( there was one fish I saw and it was in very bad condition. It’s side fins had been eaten off and it was trying to swim by flipping its back fin. A LOT of fish were dead in the corner and the employees hadn’t taken them out. A lot of fish had gotten stuck in small spaces and were crushed by the giant cannon. Petsmart, I really hope your reading this. It makes me sad to think that this is happening. Fish have feelings too ????

They are always so friendly at PetSmart. I find the groomers to be very good at their job and make my pup look super! The store is also pet friendly, so as long as your pup is on a leash, they can go in with you to pick out their own treat or toy. Their fish are hit and miss, definitely check out their tanks and fish. I have had good ones and bad ones, fish that I have had to return they put up a little bit of a issue, but have always been refunded. I recently bought a parakeet from them in October 2018, and she is super healthy and doing well. Their prices are great when there are sales. Their selection is somewhat on the slim side. They need a bigger selection for bird supplies.

The entire process was not efficient. I showed up and found out I had to do a curbside order online or call via the phone. I called the sales associate inside and attempted to pay over the phone and she was very rude and not friendly. When I asked if I could pay using my Visa Debit (which acts as a credit card), the associate told me that was not possible to do and I need a different card. When I mentioned I didn’t have a credit card on me because the website doesn’t say anywhere that over the phone purchase is ONLY CREDIT CARD and she refused to even attempt my Visa Debit which usually works fine as a credit card. The woman then said to me “you’ll have to find a different way to pay then because we do not take anything else aside from credit card”. When I asked if I could just run in and tap my card on the machine, I was also told no. I then had to place an order online (with my visa debit that apparently could not be accepted), and sit and wait 10 mins for it to be brought out to me even though I was right there the entire time. When it came time for the “curbside pickup”, its being advertised that an associate will place the items in my trunk for me. The gentleman came out of the store with my huge box of cat litter and just placed it on the side of the door. I then had to get out and pick it up myself to put in my car. Like what was the point of advertising that the associates will put it in my trunk if they’re not going to?? Overall this experience was highly disappointing and frustrating.

I've always had great experiences with this PetSmart. For example, we recently brought home a skinny pig for my daughter. It developed a major health problem about 36 hours later, and the store took it back with plans to monitor it and take it to the vet if needed. Unfortunately it died a short time later. I dealt with at least 4 different staff (including 1 on the phone) and all of them were noticeably bummed out by what we had experienced. To their credit, they also, without question, refunded us for everything we purchased - the skinny pig, the accessories, and even the open bags of bedding and food. A very pleasant customer service experience during a tough time.

There is no service available during daytime hours on weekdays. Just one girl on till and one on the floor. It is impossible for that one employee to answer to the needs of all customers in a timely manner. I was being helped, then abandoned for another customer before I was done. Even though I had mentioned needing fish while she was getting me crickets. I already had told her what I needed but she had to leave urgently to help someone adopting a cat. After nearly 20 minutes of waiting, I paid for the crickets and left my other items behind. I was going to buy frogs for my classroom, the students will be disappointed, until I take my business elsewhere. I strongly suggest that more staff be scheduled otherwise you will be losing more customers. I was not the only person frustrated by the lack of service today.

We came in here with our dogs on April 2. We were in to get a few toys for our one dog as it was his B-Day and he turned 2 years old. The other dog is 11 years. We saw a few other people with dogs as well. We did get some toys for the dogs as well as some treats. However I am sad to say while we were walking around we found a few I think 3 in total puddles of pee on the floor. I don't know how long they were there for. But it was very off putting. We wont be returning! My husband has gone into this location more than once, just trying to buy a nice Betta for our 5.5gal fish tank, which has been cycling and ready to go for over a month now. I finally went in with him today and we had several employees working in the store, that questioned our knowledge on fish care and the size of our tank (in a rude manner!) - I now understand why my husband had felt so uncomfortable going there, attacked and less than. We bought the things we needed and mentioned staff there was a dying/scared canary in its bird dish, on the way out. Maybe you should be cycling your own tanks in the store because there were also several dead fish in there as well...Bettas! Maybe you guys should practice what you preach.

Amazing grooming, particularly coming from a chain outfit. My guy Finn loves heading in every few months for the full treatment and always come out looking camera ready and soft as anything. What used to be a once a year Christmas treat has become an almost bimonthly indulgence. Many Covid precautions taken including only allowing staff into the grooming area and offering curbside pickup if required; however the store it's self does not actively encourage mask use.

Just got back from picking my 2 year old female chocolate lab from the groomer after 20 minutes of dropping her off to the "professionals". I got a call saying she couldn't bath her because she was biting at the water and then said she couldn't dry her cause she was biting at the air from the hair dryer. When I went to pick up my female dog they just handed me the leash and suggested I take "him" to a professional groomer. After I corrected them by saying she's female one of the ladies said that they wouldn't know cause they didn't touch her and the one who did "try to bath her" just said "sorry" in a short tone. I thought it was funny that these are so called "professionals" and just can't handle a playful young dog who I know from experience just tries to eat the water. Last time I go there.

Beware about purchasing rodents from this location. A couple of weeks ago I got a rat from this PetSmart, which ended up being covered in lice eggs which led to an infestation that spread to my other 2 rats, and to add to the whole mess, this rat was sold as male (and even "confirmed" male by a sales associate working there) when it turns out she is female! Not sure what's going on with their small animal department, but they clearly have no idea what they're doing. The staff was really friendly, but this whole mix-up has just led to so much stress and a pricey vet bill.

A good selection and good prices however I find it a somewhat difficult store to shop in. Among other things and while I am a pet lover the aisles are crowded and navigating them and shopping is made even more difficult by the number of people who bring large dogs into the store with them. It seemed like everywhere I turned I was tripping over a dog or falling over or dealing with someone's dog jumping on me or them assuring me that he doesn't bite as they yanked on the leash trying to regain control. Perhaps have a single area for people who wish to come and visit and show off their pets. I had also originally planned to place the order online and then pick it up in the store however I figured I might as well just go to the store and put the three items in my cart myself and check out in what I'm sure would be the same amount of time. Had I placed it online and then driven to the store to pick it up I would have saved 5%. The same savings do not apply if you pick the order off the shelves yourself. I find that quite odd actually that for less money I can have the store pay employees to wander around and collect the items that I want and set them aside for me to pick up. This was only my second visit to this PetSmart location and on this occasion as with the last there was a fair lineup at the two checkout lines that were open. That prompted me to ask an employee among other things if I had ordered online and come into the store to pick it up where would I do that. I was told that you pick up your orders at the checkout. I said to her so I have to line up with the other 10 or 15 people who are waiting in order to wait my turn to get up to the cashier and tell her that I placed an order online and then wait while she calls for somebody to bring it from the back or wherever. I could save money by just picking the items off the shelf and lining up at the checkout on my own. She suggested that I could just butt in front of the line and interrupt the cashier to let her know that I was there to pick up an order. Indeed I might just try that at some point in the future however I will be prepared for any number of other customers who are waiting in line to become quite annoyed.

When I arrived for a curbside pickup, my phone was giving me problems. I sat there getting more and more frazzled, since I was was not even able to call let alone press the convenient "I am here" notification button. One of the PetSmart associates noticed I was having trouble and had been there for a few of his deliveries to other customers! He knocked on the window of the car, asked for my name and was back out in a few minutes with my order. Thank you for being so observant and taking the initiative to come to my assistance. They refused to cut my dogs hair because I don't have paperwork saying she has her rabies shot as I got her as a full grown dog from a few hours away I was unable to get the paperwork. I have never had any issues getting her hair cut before so it was rather annoying. The store itself is great. The staff are very nice and helpful. They always have what I am looking for.
