The raw fish collection along with the frozen fish section is probably one of the best in Toronto in terms of value for money. Kensington probably has a better collection and fresh value might have a cheaper collection. But the fishes here are in the sweet spot of mid range value and mid range quality. It is definitely a treasure trove for anyone using the 40 Junction bus.

Great old school Portuguese fish market. The main fresh fish area has more varieties of strange fish than you'll see at Ripley's Aquarium. They also have an entire room just for dried salt-cod, with a giant bandsaw for cutting the huge pieces. I enjoy going just for the atmosphere, but have found the fish to be excellent, if sometimes a little roughly filleted. They also carry a bunch of Portuguese canned and bottled goods, including proper piri-piri sauces and all the Sumol you could drink. They even have a few cheeses and a small fresh produce selection. One stop shop!

I want to Osler on Friday and I forgot why I stopped going there....oh yeah because I found a place closer to my house. But recently the product there was so bad (a place on Greatly and Dufferin) I had to go back to Osler. I was again, pleasenty surprised with the excellent service and amazingly fresh product. Thank you so much Osler team and I will be buying from you again :) Your pricing is great and the freshness is out if this world :)

Whenever the mood strikes to make a fish dish, I know I can walk to the Osler fish market to pick up whatever I need, plus some Portuguese sausage and cheese for good measure. As the city loses so many established family businesses, I'm hoping this one manages to hold on.

A chef recommended Osler to us many years ago. Huge selection of fresh fish that are then cleaned for you. Excellent quality and good prices. (Salt fish does smell pretty strong, but it adds to the fish market charm)

I went on Thursday evening before Easter and the choice was unbeleivable , a large room with tables full with whatever fish, even the weirdest one that can be found in the Mediteranean .One star missing because of the rather cross staff.
