Purchased a gun in October. Returned for warrantee repair 2+ months ago. I was lied to about it’s status three times by Neil. I found out today that it hasn’t even left their shop. I wouldn’t buy worms from this place. If I could give zero stars, I would. Update: they couldn’t bother calling me once. Now that I post the above rating, they immediately reply. You have my number. Btw, your reply does not explain the lies.

Great place for target shooters and fishermen. A great variety of guns, ammo and fishing equipment and a very friendly staff.

Pretty good prices here, especially for bait. This is a convenient stop to get fishing rods and any other gear you need, whether it would be for a ice fishing trip or a quick stop at the lake. The staff seem to really know what they’re doing and solve almost all of your problems or questions with fishing.

These guys know fishing. Headed to a remote area to fish? Chances are that you'll find an employee who has been there or knows some tips and tricks, and the lures to help you land your species of choice. Looking for local fishing information, these guys know what works and how to use it. I recently went in to replace my broken reel. The sales associate helped me pinpoint the proper reel to match my price point, species and rods. The sales associates do not pressure you to buy and are really good at answering any product questions you may have. I know I had some very novice questions and these guys answered them without making me feel foolish. The location stocks a wide assortment of lures, accessories, equipment, and gear to support your outdoor activity. Prices overall are good.

I found this store online while looking for some quality fishing gear. I’ve made a few online purchases and have not been disappointed with their service at all. In fact their processing and shipping of my orders have been very good. Corresponding emails concerning issues with my orders was handled with professionalism by Mike. Orders are packed well and prices are competitive with other online stores. I would definitely recommend shopping there with confidence if you find items you’re looking for. Easily a 5 star rating from my experiences.

Good selection of fishing and hunting items. Some clothing available. Sometimes some of the staff seem to push the higher priced equipment so just know what you're comfortable with before going in. Always good to support a local business instead of a big box store.

Parked at 9:50AM. People were walking in through the unlocked doors, so I followed suit. Wrong decision. I was told very firmly that they were not open yet. I apologized for my incorrect assumption that watching people walk through unlocked doors into a store made me believe the store was open. So I left it until 10:05 to be safe. Went in and wasn't made to feel welcome. Asked where the ammunition was and was directed upstairs at the back. Got what I asked for and still didn't feel welcome. paid for my stuff and left. Gonna stay with Simmons as everyone at Simmons is WAAAYYY friendlier than FW. Oh well. Can't see myself going there again.

Newbie here. Definitely a friendly place to get started. Young man helped me with some basic weights, lours, hoods, and bait. He explained to simple bottom weighted rig which lead to my first catch! Andrew was very helpful and chatted with me while we set up my pole. Super place, and from what I saw prices are better then Walmart :|

Entered store with my spouse, were followed right from the start but weren't the day before. Felt very mistreated by the female working June 2nd in the afternoon (one with a mullet kind of haircut). I being a female wasn't acknowledged for purchase or helped with finding anything I was looking for. 3 employees assumed we were there shopping for my spouse and didn't care that I was the one buying. I will not shop here again, my shopping experience made the environment feel very sexist towards women. I would give zero stars if I could

I went to the store looking for a case for a one-time ship to B.C. of two fishing rods. I was provided with a hard tube in which fishing rods are shipped to the store - cut to fit the length of the rods I'm shipping - at no charge. They also put new line on two reels and answered all questions I had. The staff were incredibly friendly and awesomely efficient. The experience was really positive for me which I am truly grateful for. Thank you.

Great store if you need any gun cleaning supplies, parts, ammunition, or even a new gun. The guy that works behind the counter in the gun section is awesome! Very friendly and extremely knowledgable. Highly recommend.

Big fan of the store overall. The big guy running the shop can be grumpy at times and not as eager to help as id like but if you can get him talking he is a depth of knowledge and can be very helpful. Would recommend the shop for sure!

Lots of stuff but not very helpful. Asked for a product and was told " if we have it, it will be over there." Over there was a wall full of stuff. I don't think the staff member knew what I wanted, or couldn't be bothered to help.

My boyfriend loves this store but I havent got a clue about fishing. All I had to do was tell the staff what he likes to fish for and places he fishes and not only did they have plenty of recommendations the guy actually remembered him and pointed out some stuff he had been looking at last time he was there! Needless to say my boyfriend loved all of his gifts!

I have never stepped foot in this store as I live 3.5 hours from it but I have bought stuff from them and had my daughter pick it up as she lives nearby. I dealt with Mike Jackson via email. I am not spending big money but have only had great experiences with him returning emails and going out of his way to order stuff that they don't stock. I don't see this kind of customer service anywhere anymore and it is almost shocking. I wish that they were closer and will definitely be dealing with them whenever possible in the future!

For shooting equipment, some good products. But if you are looking for customer service, look elsewhere. If you just need to pick up an item you need, this could be your place. Some very good sales at times. But if you are shopping, the sales staff in the firearms department are not very helpful or friendly.

BUYER BEWARE! Monday I bought a shotgun online, the money was instantaneous billed to my credit card. Tuesday, 24 hours later, I get an email saying there is an inventory error they don’t even have it, do I want anything else? I respond 2 hours after getting the email saying no that’s all I’m looking for. Wednesday, 24 hours later, I get an email saying they canceled the order. 5 days later I’m still waiting for my refund. Interesting side note on Sunday I bought a shotgun at another small business online. I received a phone call Monday, 2 hours after they opened, saying it did not work and was only good for parts. The ad was new and it wasn’t in the description. I said I didn’t need it then. I was asked for my credit card and my money was immediately refunded and back on my credit card the next day. This is how a small business should be run, treat your customers with the same respect you’d want. Fishing World sold me an item they did not have in stock and had no means to fulfill the order. I’m pretty sure that is the very definition of fraud. Mistakes happen, it depends on how you handle them separates the boys for the men and whom you want to do business with. With the Easter long weekend Fishing World is going to hold my money for almost 2 weeks. Fishing World was 100% at fault never called me and took 48 hours to even cancel the order. Fishing World is willing to take and hold your money but has no desire to deal with anything beyond that. They have other things I’m interested in, but I know if I ever have a problem they’re not going to deal with it or do it in any timely fashion. I would seriously hesitate from buying anything online from Fishing World. In these times it is even more important to support small businesses, but when a small businesses acts like Fishing World and has no after sales customer service skills it’s better to support one that actually wants your business. Hopefully Fishing World actually did refund my money and I haven’t been scammed and I see it sometime late next week. Fishing World learn to treat your customers with respect, especially when you’re at fault. Truer words have never been spoken BUYER BEWARE at Fishing World.

I saw online that they had the Russian SKS on sale for I think it was $229. (Great Price) I went in and the guy showed me the display rifles I asked to see, I told him I'd take one, he brought it out I took it downstairs paid and left. Nice easy as advertised transaction. We're going back with the whole family in a couple days to get a shotgun or two.

Shipping was quick and when I had to call them for something, their customer service was top notch. Will definitely be using these guys again. 10/10 would recommend

It's always a great experience; they're very customer oriented, and don't have the typical pro-sports sneer. It always feels like they get more joy out of helping people than they do out of the actual fishing or hunting. I would definitely recommend this as a solid place for beginners who have no idea what they want/need, right on up through people who have been doing it for decades and just want some solid conversation. Best outdoor store in the Hammer, maybe in the Golden Horseshoe.

I ordered some R.E.D.S for my excalibur crossbow and got them within two days but they were the wrong ones so I contacted them told them what happened and within two days I received the right ones. Talk about great customer service I highly recommend this company for any of your huntimg needs and I will definitely be ordering from them again. Thanks fishingworld

- local; all staff are near or are pro fisherman - I will say I’m going to X area for X type of fish and my main FW advisor (big guy, goatee, looks scary, but nicest man) - The Service compared to Big box stores is incomparable. Prices are the same (or cheaper). You ask someone at FW for advice and you get an expert who will personally show you the hottest bait. just ASK. Many don’t and look lost. Just Ask. Remember; these are true fisherman, who are not working on commission. Advice based on their experiences and knowledge Never caught a bass at Lasalle; they recommended the Ned Rig and Ned jig. I bought them and caught attached pics

How can you not love this place? They have the best selection of any "small" fishing store, a good variety of other stuff I like upstairs and the staff are always willing to help. When I am shopping for new gear I check Fishing World first and buy local if possible.

A buddy at work told me about this place and very glad he did. Cheaper than any other fishing store by a couple of dollars per lure! Ordered the first time to try them out and very impressed. My order was shipped the same day it was placed and arrived 2 days later. Huge selection and great prices, and you get to help out a Canadian business compete against the giants...what more can one say. Will def be buying more of everything from Fishing World as they are my new go to when it comes to anything fishing or hunting

Used to enjoy popping in looking at all te new gear. Spend a few bucks . But seems the big guy Steve I believe isn't there and te knowledge has drop . Hard to purchase on miss information. Maybe try hiring men not kids .

I just want to say how impressed I was with the management and staff at fishing world on how they set the store up for post-Covid shopping. Free masks and hand sanitizer at the door, all staff in masks, we saw a staff member disinfect the door handle, plastic shields at the counter, etc. Just top notch really!! And the staff member at the counter signed my son up for his first fishing licence!! I was really impressed!! Nice work guys!!

Good Staff, service but best of all prices. I have been in the store several times and have always been asked "anything I can help you with" I can't believe reading a few other reviews and there are really a few angry people out there. These guys are not like the big box stores, they actually help you and really do know their stuff. They made an average fisherman & hunter a real good one out of me by not over selling me but simply setting me up. Kudos to these guys, keep it up

My favorite place for fishing gear. Excellent staff. Always have what I need. Lots of parking. Excellent variety of lures, waders, rods and reels for the whole family. Easy access off the road. I can get my worms there, too! Great hours of business.
