De La Mer have a fantastic selection of fish. Their smoked and cured salmon is delicious. Their dips are outstanding. And the best are their oysters, which you can order shucked, in advance--awesome for cocktail parties! Their prices are reasonable too. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This is my go-to fish market. Highly recommended!

I like this store and I would love to be able to buy more from them and support a local business. My problem is that the selection is soooo limited. They always have trout, salmon and tilapia. Otherwise, good luck....I wanted scallops yesterday and they only had 4 tiny little ones. I wanted Mahi last week, and they didn't have any. They told me to order on the website, but I went to the website and there's no Mahi. I'd be buying a lot more from this lovely store if they sold more than just salmon and tilapia and a random piece of snapper.

Awesomely fresh fish! Been here a couple times getting sashimi-grade tuna and salmon. Smoked salmon cream cheese is always a good addition to the purchase! Friendly staff, great location. And always a lemon... great stuff! Highly recommended!

If you have business phone, it would be recommended that you answer the phone when customer calls. It's not a one off. I have called a few times now over the past couple of years. Prefer to go elswehere like St . Lawrence market.

Quite disappointed to be honest. I don't know what their definition of "dry scallops" is, but it's certainly not the one I'm familiar with. When I first saw the scallops in the store, I suspected that they are not really dry. They looked too white and wet, but I didn't ask for a sniff test as I've been following them on social medias and thought they are trustworthy. When I got home I did a sniff test, no good, a bit smelly. The scallops were very slimy and fragile, definitely not dry. When being seared, liquid just kept seeping out like crazy........very disappointed, the real dry scallops should be truly dry, not slimy, and maybe a bit pinkish or yellowish, and doesn't shrink much when seared. The so called "dry scallops" sold there are probably a bit better than those sold in the supermarkets, a bit drier, not too much off smell/flavour, but definitely NOT dry. The staff was very friendly and helpful nevertheless.

So far the Danforth shop has been a nightmare and it hasn't even opened yet - loud construction at inappropriate hours(before 7am and after 7pm daily), including Sundays disturbing the surrounding residents. Construction workers and shop owner spoken to numerous times to no avail. The free crab cakes and salmon aren't worth it if they aren't good neighbors - taking my business elsewhere.

Incredible service and fantastic variety of superior fish! I went there for the first time today and was astonished that all staff took time to discuss how to prepare the fish, which they preferred and why. Everyone was super friendly, very helpful and bang on correct - I am writing this after just trying Toothfish on their recommendation - yumm! Bonus: if you want something to freeze (I got salmon burgers) they vacuum wrap them for you.

I have been going to De La Mer on Bayview Avenue for the past three years. What I like about De La Mer is that the fish are not previously frozen like you find in supermarket chains.

The store smells awful, like the counters have never been cleaned. Selection on the menu board is good, but selection from the counter doesn’t reflect that as counters were almost empty. Fish looks old and dry, which led to me not buying anything.

Went there for the first time this past weekend. So far we’ve eaten salmon burgers and crab cakes. Both super flavourful and we will certainly be back for more. We also got some cod cakes, white fish and frozen smoked salmon which we haven’t tried yet. They were very approachable - I’m sure I was asking dumb questions but they were really kind and even provided recommendations on how to prepare what I was purchasing.
