As of day this firm has a rating of 4.2 over 5 and that score was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it reaches an feddbacks average is quite good, and it's founded on a very large number of reviews, so we can say that the score is very faithful. If many people have bothered to give their review when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to give tatings when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Fish Shop corresponds to the category of Grocery store.
What a wonderful location!!! Awesome seating area, jam packed at 12 noon on a Tuesday!! Comfortable!! Met with friends for lunch which was so perfect with my current restrictive diet!! Plenty of choices to eat and all ingredients are listed for every dish!! Perfect!! Was able to shop for a little gift for my friend before meeting that adheres to her restrictive diet. Awesome spot! Lots of parking, other lovely shops nearby. Had a great time.
Update 14Aug2018: I was reached out by the store team leads and was informed about the thorough investigation and the actions they took. We only exchanged emails but I appreciated that they took the matter seriously. Overpriced with poor quality. I went to get some bell peppers which I later found out that they were all rotten inside. So I had to go back and return them on the same day and pay for the overpriced packaged veggies. The customer service was very indifferent and didn’t even have a courtesy to say “Sorry for the inconvenience.” I wouldn’t want any compensation for the trouble but I expected at least an apology... I would never go back there for grocery as even the packaged veggies were also poor quality with higher than normal prices.
Just got off the phone with a lady and I asked if the store was regulated and she said “ yup 50 in the store” and I said “ ok great just wanted to know” then bang! Hung right up ????????♀️ so rude. Saying “bye” isn’t hard to do. It takes more effort to slam the phone down than to say a simple bye.
Whole food store is very clean and have fresh fruits and vegetables
I went to see if the prices had dropped since Amazon had bought Whole Foods. I found that prices generally were still high, but some reasonable items that I found were: Rolling Meadows Grass Fed Milk 2 L for $5.99 (regular price), organic Ambrosia apples $1.69/lb (sale price), organic Bartlett pears $1.99/lb (sale price). In general, their sale prices are good, their regular prices are still higher than at other stores.
This is my favorite grocery store in Oakville. Always full of high quality and interesting products. I don't go here for casual shopping, but if I need to quickly assemble a really good dinner Whole Foods has never let me down. I find that the prices are actually very reasonable; it is just that they tend to specialize in high end, high quality products.
Popped in for non-fast-food dinner from their salad/food bar. Quality and taste were only 'OK' but the cost was outrageous. Coulda shoulda woulda bought a huge filet from Sobeys if I had known beforehand. Hope Amazon fixes things...
They have delicious vegan pizza but that's the only reason I shop here. I buy all my veggies at organic garage because the prices are awesome
There are some surprisingly negative reviews here. The amount of them is puzzling to me. I can say I only visit the store on the weekends. Perhaps it's a different staff or something. It's very expensive. If you don't like expensive stores your brain will explode. Don't enter the building. The aisles are narrow as if it's an urban location. If you like wider aisles go to Walmart or Superstore. The staff at the counters are knowledgeable and friendly. The meat and fish counter teams are great guys. The cheese people are very knowledgeable. Everything is kept moving swiftly in there. I never wait any amount of time at the check out. They keep that little store moving. It's actually a really efficient use of space. People can get in an out fast. It's a great place to buy gourmet or specialty items such as dry aged beef, etc. Love this store.
Provides free masks at front. All employees were kind and helpful. Very enjoyable shopping experience that I would recommend to others.
Ok, so first the good - the customer service is pretty good - overall experience with the employees at WF was positive. The pasta/salad bar is pretty fresh and the broccoli salad was pretty good! The store is enormous though, and sometimes things are hard to find, especially if you don't know where to look. The manager - forgot her name was not very receptive though. Was suppose to get back to me to address some questions that I had and never did. Hence the lack of 5th star.
Although, it is pricey in compare with other grocery store. I am sure it is worthy with the quality. The store is well kept and organized. I particularly like the food corner that offer both hot and cold food including great varieties of salad at reasonable price. The seating area is a bit small and is linked with the cashiering and check out area that is the down side of the entire store layout planning. Otherwise, I would expect a higher patronage for the food corner...
BEWARE CATERING BUSINESS! I ordered some platters of food for my wife's 60th birthday. I went to pick up order and was informed that because of an issue with their computers my order (which was sent 4 days before pickup) did not get to the kitchen. Imagine that a company owned by Amazon has computer problems? I quickly ordered some food from their deli stand for the function and before leaving - expressed how disappointed I was with their service, that they had lost a big advocate of their business (I had used them for a Xmas event and everything was spectacular) and only ask that I be contacted by a manager to fully explain what happened. Well 2 days have passed and no contact from the store - trust is a fragile and valuable part of a relationship. I no longer have any trust with this service. As you can see below - my response from the "owner" was to contact their customer service number - no call from management.
Whole Foods Market takes the displeasure out of grocery shopping. They manage to turn a weekly chore into a wonderful shopping experience. Freshly baked goods, lunches and dinner are all readily made for your convenience. A wide variety of products is available, with staff attending to make sure you find whatever you need. I personally enjoy the juicing bar.
I had an organic shopping experience from I entered the Oakville Whole Foods Market. Pun intended. The shelves were fully stocked, the baked products were nicely displayed, and the store was super clean. I went in search of a chocolate dessert and got the double chocolate cake and 2 mini key lime tarts, thanks to a very helpful bakery attendant. I loved the fact that I could pick up a container and serve myself from the display rack which was closed to prevent cross contamination. This has got to be my favourite Whole Food location. I plan to make many more visits.
From the fresh seafood, to meats, fresh burgers, poultry, to the vegetables and fruits. To the bakery and deli counter. And the good coffee , lattes etc. This is one of my favourite stores. Nice to sip in a good latte outside when the weather is just right. The barista counter selection came be busy during prime times
Excellent food buffet, service ..specials This is what I used to feel about wholefoods before being sold to Amazon. The quality and taste are not the same. They removed the nuts from the pumpkin scone. The buffet was unique, healthy and delicious....not any more. This morning the bacon was all burnt. and the detox salad had added sugar to it. Very sad to have lost our special Wholefoods!
Still like going here for their interesting selections, but I've found that their produce isn't as good as it used to be and they need to change up the ready made selection a little more frequently. Also, the meat section prices are way too high. You better off going to your local butcher.
I’m giving 5 stars based on the exceptional knowledge of their staff. I’m always impressed by them when I ask for specific items and they know exactly where they are or an alternative to what I’m looking for. I would say they are one of the more expensive stores vs Planet Organic, Goodness Me, Organic Garage and the least expensive out of all I find is Healthy Planet. But it depends on what you are looking for because most don’t have the awesome hot/cold lunch stations and deli/bakery. Just know your prices before you go.
Since Amazon took over, the quality of meats have diminished most definitely. Cutting down on quality. It is very noticeable since I have been shopping at Whole Foods for the past 15 years at many locations. Its very disappointing. Also the employees are not the friendliest. I just run it and out to get necessary items.
Whole Foods has always been my number one place for fresh food and quality selections! A lot of the items here are perfect of specific diets. I get all my keto ice cream here, it's my favorite! Staff is helpful and polite. Plenty of parking space out front. Some of the items are a wee bit expensive but I'd rather spend the extra $ one clean certified food than at a budget grocery. You can't put a price on long term health! Stay safe out there and keep washing those hands people!
Just came home from Whole Foods - I don't write reviews unless I'm really incensed - I bought one item at the floral counter - I asked the clerk if they were expecting more flowers? - her answer "There are lots of flowers - how many flowers do you need"? I explained that I was used to more flowers in the flower section (I was going to mention that I understand that we are in a pandemic at the moment but I really didn't feel like she cared what I had to say) I just said that there was only one bouquet of tulips and they looked rather worse for wear - she said there are lots of flowers - look at all the flowers! I asked if they were expecting more flowers in the near future? she said - "how would I know" she was downright rude. Just for the record I think her badge said "Cathy" but I'm not sure, Receipt states: Till 31 OP No 2126822 Transaction #856735 Date 26/06/2020 6:53 pm this should help locate who this very rude salesperson was. I have worked in sales my whole life I would never respond to an inquiry in this way - there are a lot of people looking for jobs right now and this employee clearly doesn't value hers - Pandemic or no pandemic front line worker or not - sorry no excuse for rudeness - I always go to WF for flowers - I think I'll go to Sobey's or Longo's from now on
I am a Personal Chef and using the best ingredients helps me to shine, I love to shop at Whole Foods Oakville. They always make me look good! I often cook for clients that follow special diets and I can always find the specialty ingredients that I need here.
Absolutely love shopping here. The staff is always great and store is always well stocked. Their large pizzas are amazing for a quick family dinner, our favourite is the vegan pizza.
Beautifully presented assortment of produce.
Our favorite grocery store hands down. Amazing selection of produce, fresh foods and mouth watering deserts (however their macarons were terrible I wouldnt recommend buying the ). Everything is super fresh and staff are very helpful.
This is by far one of the best Whole Foods I've been to. The hot bar/salad bar/prepared foods section has such a wide selection with so many delicious choices- I always love coming here. Also the Vegan donuts are AMAZING!!!
Very disappointed with the staff and management. My husband and I have been shopping since they opened and now they sell meat that is expired already and they don't even exchange it. Its not about the money, it's about how they are willing to loose a customer that shops for everything in their store. Hello organic garage and farm boy we are your new clients.
Review August 28, 2018. Whole Foods has changed so much since it change owners, some of the items I used to buy are not available anymore. I used to buy brioche buns and now they sell their own brand but they don’t taste as good, also my husband used to like their chocolate croissants but he doesn’t like the new ones from “France” that do not have their ingredients listed. I do not like buying food without reading the ingredient list. Also one time I saw Cheerios ????. I don’t go as often as I used to, I’m not liking their changes. First review 2 years ago (5 stars) Every time I been to this location I had a good experience. Love their bakery section, specially their chocolate croissant. Produce is always very fresh and of good quality. I also buy meat and chicken from them and is always good. Yes, prices are on the higher end so I don't do my full grocery shopping here I only buy what I am missing that I couldn't find anywhere else. I also have been to some of their classes and I have enjoy them very much.
Pricey but you can't beat the selection of organic and natural items all under one roof. Not the place if you're a budget shopper, but for hard to find items - or if you're pressed for time and need to make it a one-stop shop - it's good.
Ordered a Vegan Birthday Cake on behalf of my client who has developmental disability, the women within the bakery were less than pleasant to deal with. I called at 10:15 am on the day of to see if maybe the cake was ready to pick up (original pick up time was noon) the lady who answered sounded beyond stressed out and in full-tone stated “Nope! I actually just got here literally a few minutes ago and haven’t started it yet, it should be ready around noon” I was shocked at the amount of attitude. Wondering why they need 48 hrs notice when apparently they really only need 2? The cake itself was awful, I was really anticipating it being SUPER fresh after hearing that she hadn’t even started it less than 2 hrs before pick up but it was absolutely awful, I’m not sure whether it was super stale or majorly over-baked, it was the driest cake I’ve ever had. I had this same cake last year and it was wonderfully moist and flavourful (hence why I was a repeat customer for this product). We actually had to add copious amounts of soy milk mashed into the cake in order to soften it enough for my client so it wasn’t a choking hazard. Anyways lesson learned, next year I’ll be giving my business to someone who doesn’t treat me like I’m a problem and is happy to make a cake rather than annoyed. What a terrible experience overall, wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
Great location, great ambiance. Super fresh produce, great meat and fish selection. Cheese aisle is my fave but I miss the free samples (stupid COVID). Some people who visit are very snooty and try to run you over with their cars so be careful in the parking lot.
Nice and clean store, delicious food! However: I’ve bought two different types of lettuce in the packages -I have not checked the expiration date on it - one was 5 days expired ! And the other one was still good for another 2 days, both regular price, and both in a very bad condition, basically both end up in the green bin! Please check the expiry dates there - I would have never even thought of it.
I really like this store. The variety of products, fresh salads ready to eat healthy food, seafood, meat department offers variety of fresh steaks, hamburgers and delicious sausages. Yummy desserts and more amazing products for every household.
Produce isn't in stock sometimes. I had to ask a worker about limes and instead of filling the bin he went to back room and just got me 3 individually. Prices are way too inflated. Use a local butcher for meat and save plus get better quality food.
This place is my top place for coffee bar and hot food menu. The prices are decent and the place is quite big. If you're looking for healthy food and good quality food this is the place to go. It is often quite busy but I've never has trouble finding someone to help me out.
I love the amazing selection of vegan products at Whole Foods. My husband and I had dinner at Beertown, which has fantastic service and a complete vegan menu. I ordered a vegan caesar salad and the vegan dressing was lovely. We walked over to Whole Foods to purchase a Caesar salad dressing and found a few other great vegan products. But then we went to checkout. The cashier had a nice conversation with the customer in front of us and then when the customer left, she turned to us and the smile was gone. She looked down and talked with her face down while checking the items out. I had to politely ask her to repeat herself because I could not hear her. I'm not sure what the problem was, but Gemma did not move the items along to within our reach. We waited for her to say thank you or anything really to finish the transaction, but the moment she handed me the receipt, we were apparently finished. She immediately turned her back and moved on to the next customer, leaving the purchased items just out of reach (right in front of her). I had to reach around the debit card machine for the items. Only when I asked her name, did she smile and engage. Disappointing. More training is absolutely needed. I don't pick and choose which Patients I'm respectful to. Acknowledge every customer Gemma, with a genuine smile. It's good customer service. Great selection of vegan products, but Gemma's lack of customer service marred our experience.
Despite all the negative reviews for this Wholefoods location, I had very pleasant experience here, friendly and resourceful staff, fresh vegetables and fruits. It's more expensive than some organic stores, but I can always count on them for their outstanding quality. Downside: Traffic is bad after working hours, you may want to plan before heading there during working days.
Wholefoods likes to brand itself as an organic store yet NOT a SINGLE prepared food item is organic. Wholefoods should change its name to *Glyphosate Foods* instead. EVERYONE - go to Natures Emporium instead! All of Natures Emporium's prepared foods are made with organic produce and ingredients. Wholefoods is nothing more than a corporate machine trying to squeeze as much profit out of its customers as possible. Save your money and go shop at Natures Emporium and support a local business.
I love this store. Omg. The selection is INCREDIBLE. Highly recommended
Good choices and variety. Good salad bar.
Love Whole Foods. I really do. However, The experience I continue to have with a certain cashier at the Express Line, not so much. Just not a very good exchange. As I do enjoy shopping there , and the cashiers at the other lanes seem to enjoy their jobs and serving all people with respect and kindness, I’ll resolve to stand in their line ......even if it’s only for 15 items or less.
Great selection of unusual food and product. Free Wi-Fi. On the less side: prices of common food or grocery items can often be eye popping high. Best to buy your staples elsewhere and come here for the special stuff.
Good food and good selection. For the most part reasonably healthy; just make sure to read the labels though, some of the food is junk masquerading as a health product). Pricing is a bit high, but staff are generally helpful.
They are the best. I ordered Canadian Thanksgiving from this Whole Foods and it was amazing. The turkey, stuffing, sides....perfection It was so easy to order and add 1 or 2 specialties. I order special meals every holiday season. This was the perfect gourmet food experience. I will order all of my holiday meals from Whole Foods, because they deliver it with perfection.
Be careful when you purchase into this store. They use many marketing tricks to present “discount” that actually doesn’t exist. Especially for fresh fruit and vegetables. Read labels very carefully, all tiny letters. That is not something that you want when you go to grocery store, but for this one, you will have to do it or you will spend a lot of money
Whole Foods is all right for an occasional bite to grab at lunch time. Grocery looks amazing but a little bit on the pricey side. On Wednesdays you can get a large pizza with 3 toppings for $11.99.
Smaller location with limited variety of products and sections. Didn't see deli meat or desert. But the items available are high quality for the prices.
This store is so premium. Great experience. Health and handmade is a focus. Great time shopping here. It is pricey for everyone buyer though.
Been coming here for years since they opened. Expensive, yes, even after bought out by Amazon. Some things are a little cheaper but generally still more than most groceries. Come here a lot for the great selection of healthier items that you can't find anywhere else. Love the fresh baked breads and pastries, at par with higher end bake shops. Not impressed with the cakes and hot table “ items, but that is just me, I like my food freshly made, especially when I am paying higher prices for it. Pizza is quite good especially when they are freshly baked. I agree with the other reviews, hit and miss with the staff. Mostly pleasant and helpful, except for the plump older female cashier with short hair. She has ALWAYS been grumpy and has very negative vibe, you're almost afraid to have her as the cashier, not sure how she got hired. I hesitate shopping there when I remember her or just avoid her lane as much as possible, she's usually near the coffee section, as her demeanor ruins the experience.
I was enjoying getting some vegetarian meat and patties from here. Even i was buying 2 big bottles of kombucha almoat every to every other day from here. I didnt mind spending more. Until i went for their hot food. They had some curries that day. I was super excited!!! I spent $22 plus tax. Which i didnt mind at the time. Curry is always worth it in my opinion. But this was just terrible!!! And for the price!!! Unbelievable!!! It was so really water down curry. No taste. I didnt even eat it. If i had time to complain that day. I would have!!!!!
Always a friendly experience coming to this location. I wish I knew the name of one of the meat department staff. Younger gentleman...man... he's too notch. Super polite and packs the meat so well. He helped me today again and can't sing his praises enough!
Very nice store, good selection of products
I felt like I was in the freaking twilight zone. Staff were either rude or clueless. Patrons themselves were all flustered. Tensions were high, flowers were wilting. Is this what happens when you congregate a bunch of carb free, gluten free, non gmo people into a small area?!???
It was great that they handed out facemasks to each customer. What was not great was that there were still people in the store without facemasks and the store was pretty crowded. Good on them for providing facemasks!
When I walked into the store, I felt relaxed and happy. I ordered a cup of coffee and a croissant. "Eating from the bowl and watching the pot", I took another raisin favourite muffin . The muffin tasted very good, but it suddenly ended up with my allergic reaction to nuts and I had to give up.
I aways liked the quality of products and the ingredients at this place. Their fresh veggies and fruits is great. Alas, it's an expensive store to shop for grocery ( unless money is not an issue for you). I also like their pastries and coffee and I do get together with friends in the sitting area. Not giving a 5 star is due to prices. Overall I like this place very much.
Initially I was reluctant to come and visit Whole Food Foods because of the reputation of "a whole paycheck" kind of retailer. Honestly speaking I'm very happy with the food that I buy, and their prices are not much different than a Longos, Sobeys, Fortinos or a Metro. For the religious No Frills, Food Basics and Fresh Co. shoppers, the costs may be a horse pill to swallow. With that said let's be very honest; you either care about the food that you put into your body and therefore you see the value in buying premium quality foods or you don't. I love the fact that their meats have a rating system in terms of organic and the quality of life the animal had before it was slaughtered. Customer service is above par and for the most part the food you get is exceptional. This location also has a small clothing section, some Pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. This location also has an abundance of pre-prepared meals but be ready yourself for a premium price. I often visit Whole Foods every other week but on occasion once a week..
Truly enjoyable shopping experience. Probably the freshest produce of any retail store. Large selection of specialty food for dietary concerns. Free healthy snacks for the kids while you shop. You don't mind spending a bit more at this store and the quality and experience are definitely worth it.
I prefer this location over the Square One store. Usually lots of parking. I'd like to see some more biodynamic products. I can't seem to find any supplements without magnesium stearate. (Inhibits the absorption of supplements and completely unnecessary). Other than that a very good store. The 365 products are generally a very good deal. Staff is always pleasant.
Stopped in for a quick breakfast. Had some of the large variety of pastries and some coffee. Both were ok but I found it too be a little pricey.
I don't know if there was a change in management, or their corporate issues have had an impact but I don't see as much variety or value in their selection anymore. One particularly irksome point of note is that they seem to have stopped carrying as much organic produce, particularly melons and the like. Prepared meals have also gone downhill while increasing in price. I've found that generally anything prepared in store has a lot of variation in quality, which definitely was not the case when I first began shopping there. Otherwise, the staff is usually friendly and there is adequate parking, about what you would expect from Whole Foods. Just avoid the lunch hour rush if you can help it.
Not as good and unique as it was 5+ years ago. Having Pusateri's just up the road doesn't help. Hopefully Amazons purchase of them will bring them back to the fun store to shop that it used to be.
Parts of this stored I really like and others I can't stand. It attracts a trendy snotty pretentious crowd that don't mind overspending for organic or a specific brand. It's quite expensive there too. My advice is to go in with a budget and stick to it. There's this myth that eating here will make you healthier. Whatever.
I find myself visiting the store quite often, since I live nearby. Yes, it is expensive, but the selection of items is good. If you like bread, their Bakery has some good quality sour dough and they use organic flour. The pizza isn't too great - very soggy yet tough and rubbery at the same time. I like that they have organic selections in the food bar. To lower the cost, just watch for their sales, especially in the fresh produce section. Bring your own bags and ask for a bag card at checkout. They will give you $0.10 towards your bill or toward a charity, as well as stamping your card. When your card is full you get $5 gift card.
Goodgrocery store with lots to choose from. Huge lunch bar, with sandwiches, soup, vegetables, hot & cold items... Good quick place to grab a bite to eat. Their cappuccino's are fairly good as well. 4 star at best.
Well organized. Traffic is controlled. The availability of items are abundant. There are masks to be provided for those who do not have any.
OMG they are selling donuts made in the USA then ship-up what is happening at whole foods Trump Donuts, how can this be fresh or good for you does not make any sense, bad desions being made here. Whole Foods is now Fake Foods....
Whole food always has very high quality materials, the best organic items. But, it is expensive!
Yes, Whole Foods is more expensive than traditional grocery stores. Having said that, their offering caters to a different type of shopper. The Oakville Whole Foods is great if you are searching for organic or other specialty food items, but in particular it has a wide range of unique and "healthy" food fare. For me, this Whole Foods is a go-to destination for meats for BBQ -- items that I cannot find elsewhere locally in a reliable way. Full packer beef briskets, pork spare ribs, large beef short ribs and more. Whole Foods does not disappoint, but shop wisely and generally only buy what you cannot find elsewhere in a more traditional supermarket (if you are concerned with managing your budget).
They're pizza and hot bar is what makes Whole Foods stand out from other grocery stores in the area. Not to mention it's all organic.
Our staff frequent the store for lunch and company meetings we have not had any pizza since them. was not happy with the changes of the fresh pizza department displaying pizza without the aluminum trays. It's unappealing and there's a lot of food cross-contamination it looks dirty. Let the staff run the store have faith in your employees don't run the store from the USA.
Since the Amazon takeover, everything is slowly changing for the worse. Their ancient grain loaf constantly has massive holes in it, so you lose half of the bread. My son loved their Mac and cheese until they switched the pasta from traditional macaroni to some huge twists that are overcooked/fall apart and definitely provide less. You could get 4 kid sized portions out of it before and now get 2. The drop in quality of our favourites (amongst others we buy regularly) is the reason for the 2 star drop. The cashiers are all great, cheese section was second to none prior to the pandemic, the selection for fresh veggies and fruit are still good. The florist selection are beautiful, albeit over priced (seems to be a Canadian issue, not WF specific).
Don't know what is happening with WF, but it's gone downhill. Maybe it's due to Amazon taking over, but whatever the reason, we have stopped shopping there. Not worth your whole paycheck!! They now put their cakes in plastic containers just like Walmart (no offense to Walmart), but the price is still the same. Looks really cheap! The pizza station used to be normal, but now it's a free for all where the public just grabs what piece they want! Ahhh, where's the bloody hygiene!! Saw too much a few times which turned me off & a lot of my fellow shoppers from buying the pizza. Too bad as it was good. The Amazon takeover has not reduced the prices esp. on fruits & veggies. Must say they do have a good variety of cheese & sausages, but that's just not enough to bring us in.
I've been to a few grocery stores in Oakville during Covid-19 and I honestly feel that this store goes beyond what other stores do to keep their staff and customers safe. In any other time I would say it's a great place to shop but now it's clear to me they are super great!
Love this place. Great food, I am just a little heartbroken that I haven't been able to get my most favourite meal in the ready made foods.. there hasn't been any vegan soy nuggets in soòooo long! ????????
Can't thank Jeff enough for scoring and seasoning the fresh Red Snapper we bought for our dinner. We didn't have to ask for this to be done to the fish. Jeff ever so kindly offered it to us and I've been back since for more fresh fish. The presentation and taste were both amazing!!! Thanks again Jeff ????
I thought this location was much better than the one in Mississauga, mainly because of their ready-made, cold section. It’s consistent with a lot of the locations in the US that serve my favorites. It’s a little strange though that they carry very little of the whole foods 365 brand at this location
Whole Foods Oakville location is great on organic options . What makes it interesting is it has unique items that are hard to find in the mainstream grocery stores. The staff are nice. It is a very clean store. To remain competitive they need to offer more discounts
Very nice selection, pretty good prices
This is a really nice grocery store. I guess all of them are. They provide sanitary wipes and a mask at the entrance (if you need one)
I agree with the reviewer below Mihaela, why does everyone have to wear a mask to enter Whole Foods? As a leading organic grocery store promoting health & wellness, you all should be giving us VITAMIN C & VITAMIN D3 at the entrance door... not masks, sanitizers & reflecting a fear-mongering attitudes.
I used to come in here all the time it was my absolute favourite spot to shop in oakville. Going in and out of the store you always found something new and exciting. I knew quite a few of the workers well there and they didn't have very nice things to say about the management and how the place was run. I know every place has it quirks but the stories I heard from this place where just depressing. And to be honest, I believe it. They have lost so many terrific workers from this store. Especially the butcher section. Used to be my favourite part of the store but it's gone so downhill in the last couple years. Used to be a great young butcher there always had the best suggestions and really knew his stuff. Now when you ask even the managers don't seem to really know what they're talking about. Sigh. Such a shame.
We just moved to Oakville close to Whole Foods. My first experience was that they rang up some of my groceries twice. I normally don't look at my bill, but because it was so high for only a few items, I decided to take a look... Lucky I did. I called them and they looked into and gave me a refund, but you would think that they would give you some kind of a $$$ off for going back for a mistake they made. Even a $5.00 voucher just something to say sorry.
I like whole foods. Their gelato is so good. Tried the pistachio and hazelnut. Small is 2.49 and you can try 2 flavours. Worth going here for items on sale like GT kombucha. It was 2.39 a bottle really good deal. It's usually 3.50 to 3.99 a bottle at other grocery stores. They also carry the Sambazon's acai puree so you can make your own acai bowl. It's less than $12 for packets of 4. That's like 4 acai bowls. You just add almond milk and some frozen fruits and granola toppings. I like that they don't use plastic bags and they give you paper bags for free.
Came today for the hot buffet and had the Gen. Tsao mock chicken - delicious. Great place to buy my favourite Urban Zen flavour Aloe Calamansi Lime.
Why do you close your pizza station at 7pm?
Great selection. Staff taking proper precautions for safe shopping. Had pizza today which was so good.
A lot of over priced food, but it is Whole Foods. I love their floral department. Its the only reason I go there unless I'm looking for a certain over priced food item. Really good quality flowers and the price is amazing for what you're getting. If I need a gift for someone this whole foods is my go to place for flowers in Oakville.
I have been coming to whole food market, specifically this Oakville location for close to five years. I have always enjoyed the service and products offered. In particular the hot bar has been very popular for my team and myself. Especially on the evenings that Jack is working - the days that Jack works the food is always and consistently delicious, fresh, with great variety. Jack is knowledge about the products, always happy, and able to offer many products. Keep it up!
An excellent selection of quality produce.
Excellent hot bar and pastries. Produce and merchandise of impeccable quality, but quite pricey. Great grocery store to splurge for a special occasion.
Love shopping here, clean store, the fruit is fresh, love the salads and baked goods. A bit disappointed that the sticky pecan buns had stale tasting pecans in what was an otherwise, wise lovely bun.today. Sorry we could not buy what looked like a veg ravioli, had ham in it.
Thank you for moving the bread wall from near the entrance to a better spot! I had visited about 8 months ago and it was so awkward to shop with that section near a doorway. Lots of gluten free bread choices. Overall, was a lot of selection. I found a lot of specialty items which were on sale!
I'm a regular customer 10 yrs here in Oakville store there pastries are a number one pull for me but as of late there Spanacopita pastry under baked inner parts under backed gooey texture to frustrating ask the bakers to pay closer attention on bake time
My wife love to we by our produce an d fish at this location. And the staff have always been helpful.
I have always liked Whole Foods - great food, excellent selection & friendly service. However, after reading the report of the mother and her infant child being apprehended and "taken into custody" over an innocent oversight at the checkout counter, I highly doubt I will never set foot in that store again. For all you Whole Foods customers, make sure you put every grape, strawberry and bread stick on that belt otherwise you may find yourself on "America's Most Wanted". Whole Foods, if you're listening... you should really be ashamed.
Great selection and always fresh! A little on the pricy side for same items you find at all other grocery stores. Their meat section and fresh salads are top notch.
Really good tasty food and ambience! They have indoor restaurant and a patio as well! Best veggie and vegan pizza. Pricey but really good food and other groceries and stuff as well
I understand these are trying times and everyone wants to follow ‘protocol,’ but I don’t think I will be coming back to Whole Foods again. The atmosphere feels like we're all dealing with some dangerous and hazardous disease that will make us extinct. The times I have walked into this Whole Foods feels like a military or you’re being watched for your every move — I feel very uncomfortable and ridiculous. My wife glares at every customer and employee and wonders how scared everyone is like we are ALL going to die… it is amusing and sad at the same time. I agree, this store is built on fear at the moment. We usually don’t go to Superstore but I feel more safe and human in there, they have better ways of going about this positively.
Hit or miss with staff at this location. I've ended up stood at the help desk with four staff behind the counter for quite a while before anyone took time to acknowledge me. I believe two of them were changing out cash drawers and the other two were stood talking about their days. Definitely don't expect people to drop what they're doing immediately, but it is poor customer service to make eye contact with someone repeatedly and then continue to ignore them for several minutes. Other employees run the gambit of being really friendly and helpful (cold prepared food/deli counter staff are always nice) to awful. The people at the pizza counter are generally awesome. They once really overbaked our pizza (they were really busy) and were honest about it, and redid it right away for us. I've been to other places that would just send you on your way with burnt pizza because they can't be bothered. They're super friendly as well. Also, the pizza itself is great. Hot bar is mostly good, slight consistency issues. Produce is great, as is the flower selection. All in all a decent Whole Foods, but really inconsistent.
This location isn’t as nice and friendly as the location in Mississauga but it’s still got some good stuff about it. The produce is just as fresh and the aisles are a bit stuffy but got some good things. The cooked food section isn’t that …
I have been to this Whole Foods countless times. It is always super clean, has friends staff that are more than willing to help direct you to certain isles and show you where stuff are. Grocery shopping is always a pleasant experience at this location.
They have a great selection of vegan foods! And have great customer service. This is my favourite store for buying flowers to make my own arrangements, they always have a great selection of in fashion flowers. Wholefoods has fresh prepared food, including fresh pizza. They have a vegan pizza made with vegan garlic aioli. This is a great pizza, and often times they also have beyond meat chicken bites that you can add to the pizza. Their salad bar has many vegan options. The store is well organized with vegan items mixed in with regular items, however it is done in a logical fashion. This makes shopping easy. You can find lots of zero waste cleaning supplies like kitchen sponges and scrubbers, along with compostable parchment paper and other such items. Their bath and body section is offers the greatest selection in the city/town. You can find tooth brushes made from recycled materials, plastic free and vegan dental floss (floss is normally made with beeswax). They have beautiful soaps and bath scrubs too! During the winter season they also have a fantastic selection gifts, for all ages and everyone. They have tons of Doug and Melissa toys for kids, beautiful home decor items, sweaters and other clothing the list goes on. Wholefoods also has a fantastic magazine collection, you can find favourites like Dwell, architecture digest and other high quality magazines. It's hard to leave this place without spending lots of money!
BEST PIZZA IVE EVER HAD!!! And it was VEGAN!!!!!!! Honestly the Vegan aoli on pizza is the best so sad it's not available in the store otherwise. I've bought it on Amazon but not the same.
Lol. $10 for 7 pickles. $18 for a jar of almond butter that's $8 at bulk Barn made fresh. Oakville really is a unique place. However their bread is great. O yea and the cat food. Single serving. $6. Crazy!
Always go to the Mississauga location because I live here by ended up going to the Oakville location because I was around that area. Picked up bagged avacado which were really small and today when I opened up one at lunch it was all brown and gross and inedible So sad when you trust a brand like whole foods and you feel let down So much for being organic Don't have the time and patience for doing a return Never going back!!
Excellent quality food and healthy alternatives. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff
was not particularly impressed with this location, I get that at the end of the night most people want to close up shop and head out right as the doors shut but if you're advertising till 9 food should stay out while customers are in the store. 20 minutes prior to closing most hot food had been thrown out, even prepacking some of if would have been ok but expecting to pickup dinner after you've just finished work only to arrive hearing it's been tossed already with another 20 minutes till closing was disappointing
Looks more compact compare to other Whole Foods market but it had everything and more easy to shop.
Came in for lunch the other day with my wife and son. Food choices good ... quality good, but the food was cold. Even the warm stuff was cold. And whole foods is expensive, better choices out there for the money
The best grocery shopping with worst bakery, cooked food, pizza etc. Been to different whole foods stores, but they all have bad quality control on freshly made items. The problem is that the same bread taste different everytime, same pizza taste different.. etc. There is no quality control at Whole Foods for set standards. Lack of kitchen training for sure. Almost always disapponted on bakery and cooked food. But i will still do grocery shopping here as staff are very friendly and I like organic food here at whole food.
Today, I was waiting behind 3 other people at the deli counter while only 1 person served. She tried calling one of her colleagues from the back (not really her fault) but the colleague hid and kept looking out hoping I'd leave. At least 3 staff were at the back. Terrible customer service! I expect this at Walmart but not Wholefoods
Expensive but great selection of health and natural beauty items. Not so pleased with the vegan options as they keep getting rid of anything that's good, despite certain things always selling out fast.
Living in Oakville for 25 years I used to LOVE this store. However these days the hot bar foods have become dry, old, unflavoured, not too mention they hardly have ANY gluten free options there. The employees near the hot food section are RUDE, they cut you off when you’re trying to reach for a dish, one even yelled at me saying “wait!” when I was in that spot before her. The coffee/barista section has been “closed” for a month now and it was the last reason why I would even come to the location. You’d think Wholefoods would want to increase their hours due to the financial pandemic hit all business have sustained. If you’re looking for fresh, organic produce or even affordable skin care and supplement products, I’d suggest going to Nature’s Emporium, it’s WORTH the drive for me, pleasant people and lots of savings. Lastly, it is quite obvious the Whole Foods employees at this location absolutely dread working there, you can see it with their mannerisms, when you ask them for help, and just the energy they carry. Sad.
I have always loved this store and have been shopping here for years since my teen years and now 20 something years later a mom of 3, I still love everything from their customer service, organic produce, snacks, spices, dairy, and the bakery goods. All my kids birthday cakes come from their wonderful bakery. Even throughout the pandemic they held up so nicely, there was no mayhem within the store, everyone is always calm and ready to help. I asked for the fresh spaghetti pasta the other day and the gentleman stocking the shelves nearby, quickly went to the back and grabbed me a pack. He was so polite and attentive. They entire store vibe is so classy and wonderful. Great work you guys!
5 stars for the chefs and all the people who prepare food for the buffet! The food is absolutely delicious! My favorite lately : Cauliflower Meatballs , Potato Gruyere Gratin ( yes, it does not look too appealing but it was splendid ! don't worry if it was not too popular, some people don't know what Gruyere is ) , Green chickpeas medallions served cold as a super fulfilling snack ( whoever makes them - you are the best and we need MORE!) and today's Eggplant Rolls with cheese in Tomato sauce! Thank you! Also coffee is always fresh and strong :-)
Over priced everything but has gotten substantially worse in quality. Used to be a great lunch spot and I used to treat myself to their macaroni and cheese with toasted bread crumbs. Now they only have over priced KD at best. Real shame
I went to whole foods yesterday with my 5 year old niece and your tables in the cafe are horrible. The corners have sharp metal peices that stick out and she hurt herself so badly on it. It's just a warning because it literally cut her and I can see that happening to more people.
My favorite whole foods location! Everything is always in stock and the staff are so kind and friendly! I was here last weekend and Malack was so patient with me even though it was so busy, and this is just my most recent experience, everyone is amazing.
It was quite a pleasant experience to come here at Whole Foods Market in Oakville, ON. I think it's a very good food market, but the prices are ridiculously high, and the prices are good, overall everything is wholesome, fresh, and mostly pure and organic, but sometimes not a lot of things are a stock, and it is definitely not an investment to waste your money on since everything and the prices are so high but, other alternatives that are very reasonable in prices is Sobeys, since my visit today was definitely disgusting, I had to pay $120 just for 10 things, and thats definitely a bad deal. So it is definitely not recommended to come here, I would rather go to Sobeys, but hey Quality matters.
I am a senior and was asked for I'd. I did not have my wallet with me as there is nothing on their website that indicates I'd is required. I was denied entry. Not happy at the way they treat seniors. I contacted Whole Foods customer care. They agreed that identification was not required and I should not have been denied entry. They escalated my concern to the store manager who would contact me. it has been almost 5 days and still no contact from the store manager.I guess seniors and my business is not a priority. Too bad so sad!
Way more selection of healthy foods than any other grocery store. I really like the baked goods! It also has a salad bar with a very large selection. You can also get a gourmet coffee and relax when you are done shopping. Things bit more expensive than a grocery store but this is changing since the Amazon takeover.
Great store for fresh organic food and many quality products. Service is very good.
I had a great experience at this grocery store the last time I was here. The staff member I spoke to was especially helpful as I needed help finding something. I also found the prices to actually be reasonable which was surprising. I will be back.
In this Covid-19 situation the employees have no respect for people with serious medical conditions, still harassing them to wear masks. By law people with medical conditions do not have to wear masks!
Always a great selection of fresh food! Love the deli area. Would earn an extra star if the prices were just a bit lower.
Awesome variety of foods. Some are a little pricy, but a nice place to shop and the employees are friendly and helpful. Discount when you bring your own shopping bags. I will definitely go back.
Pizza slice $4.50 each. Grilled vegetable pizza okay. Lots of veggies and mushrooms. Vegan Jerk Pizza actually good. Like the cheese. Would get this again. Hot/salad bar can be expensive. Got chicken, beef, cod. They're okay. Pickled red onions really good. Bruschetta so-so. Sweet potato okay. The Mochi Bar and French Macaron Bar not worth it.
They have great meat, and cheeses. Their hot counter is pretty good too. But very pricey and lacking in some of the more out there products you’d expect them to have.
