Amazing fish and plant store with even better people running it! I have had an amazing experience with this store and staff, especially Tom. They have gone above and beyond to answer my questions on Facebook, until I was able to go visit the store. They sent me pictures and options for driftwood as well as livestock, it was just such a pleasure even through Facebook! On visiting the customer service only got better, greeted to a beautiful store. Any and all our questions were answered, and my favourite thing was that they truly care about you and your fish. I had gone in and was excited for corydora. Instead of pushing me to buy them too soon they told me give my tank some more time to cycle. This was great, I knew they care bout the fish more than.just a sale. Overall the amazing customer service, clean store and wonderful staff will keep me coming back here for sure.

His passion and patience is rare! No sales pitches. Just simply facts and steps to getting a home aquarium. We learnt a lot! And walked away with a lot of Information that we can take an informed decision. A must go to place especially if your are nee and have never had a home aquarium.

This store rules. They're so friendly and knowledgeable. I came here from Toronto and I will be back because of their excellent service. They also have top of the line products. Where else in Ontario can you find an ADA rimless aquarium? Their livestock looked happy, healthy and had clean tanks. Bottom line- this place is a top-tier fish store and I'm happy that they exist! The location was not very accessible. The shrimp that I ordered from them ended up being poor quality when I went to pick them up so they substituted them with a different variety which I'm still not 100% happy with. And the plants I bought from them introduced ostracoda into my aquarium which are now an unsightly infestation that will be very difficult to ever remove.

They took the time to explain how to care for the fish and which fish go well together in a tank and which don’t. I live in Toronto and would drive out to Planted Aquaria for my fish needs again.

Small shop with tons of stock! If you need anything plant related they have it! Co2 systems and the most beautiful tank set ups I've ever seen. They know what they are doing and are there to help. Very friendly and patient. Am definitely coming back. Worth the 45 min drive from Brampton

This is hands down the best aquarium and fish store in the GTA. The owner, Tom, was so incredibly helpful and patient in helping me set up my first large high-tech tank. The selection of lights, rimless aquarium, livestock, CO2 equipment, and hardscape is excellent and very fairly priced. I'll be coming back many times, and for anyone in the GTA, I highly recommend checking the place out.

Very impress with the visuals and atmosphere of the store. Not just your typical pet store. Love how clean and organize the store was and the tanks .... It was jaw dropping how beautifully they were setup. Store owner and his wife were super friendly, passionate and extremely knowledgable. If you are curious about ever getting into the hobby definitely come by and see the sample tanks they have setup. It's like living art.

The owner is very polite, kind and knowledgeable. I felt welcome and part of the "fish community" when talking to him about my experiences and asking questions. The fish tanks are well maintained and clean and I did not worry about the health of my purchased fish when I brought them home.

Beautifully laid out store with great quality livestock. The honey gourami I purchased is in great health and has a beautiful colouration. The store itself is laid out beautifully, and you can tell that great care has gone into the display tanks, even though you can only see them through a window right now.

Pros: Great fish selection. Great aquatic plant selection. Aquariums are well organized and maintained. Has the feel of an aquarium store not a big box store. Owners are polite and quite willing to spend time answering questions. After being in the hobby for over 50 years I can say that this store is a place I will be frequenting as a customer. Well done! Cons: Its not next door.

I picked up this beauty from Planted Aquaria recently, and it was a great experience overall! The website is up to date, so it's easy to see what stock is available, the store is super clean and showcases beautiful display tanks, and I love the huge selection of dry goods, plants, and livestock!

Probably the best aquarium store I will ever shop at. The staff are very friendly, informative and, helpful for veteran and new fish keepers alike. Their fish are all incredibly healthy and well cared for and the plants all look amazing. If you’re a fish keeper in southern Ontario this store is worth a visit 100% even if just to restock on some supplies and take in the amazing display tanks. Well done Planted Aquaria! Keep it up!

I dont normally write reviews unless im super satisfied or dissatisfied. In this case i am very satisfied! On Black Friday I ordered aquatic plants from Planted Aquaria online and I was amazed at how green/red and lush the products were when they arrived. They took about 2 days to ship to me (same province), so i was expecting some of them dying off, but they arrived in pristine condition. Highly recommended and will buy from them again. I just wish they were closer to me LOL.

Noticed this place driving home from work one day, my Wife and I wanted to start up the hobby again so we went in on a Friday, it was close to close but Tom and My had no problems spending time on helping us back into the hobby. Very knowledgeable and taught us how to tend to live plants as it was out first time with them. Already been back and will continue to go there for all my fish needs.

I used the online store and service was on point! Adding to cart and checking out was intuitive. Items that were pick-up only is clear and why it would be pick-up only at their Oakville store. ICS was the delivery option I had to get to me at Toronto. While ICS failed to send it timely and also didn't attempt to deliver to my door the first time around (which is beyond Planted Aquaria's control), Planted Aquaria was quick to respond to sent another and it got to me in two days! Thank you!

If you like Betta fish, buy your next one from here. This is the only store I've seen in person that keeps their bettas in filtered tanks. I'll be buying my next one from them for sure. Beyond that, the staff was very helpful. I went in mostly knowing what I wanted, but I was stuck when it came to carpeting plants. The staff answered all my questions and got me settled on chain swords and they started growing before I even had a chance to put them in the new tank! All the plants are high quality, but the staff made sure I got the best looking ones they had in stock. Can't recommend them enough!

This was perhaps the best shopping experience that I have ever had....and I did not even go into the store (due to Covid Protocol). I found My Tran's ad on kijiji while searching for a Betta fish. That is where the awesome customer service started... I was looking for a "funky" looking young male Betta. The one pictured in the ad was pretty, but she told me that she had received an order and offered to send me photos of the newest ones that interested me (Koi, blues & blacks). In total, she sent me 11 photos. I decided to purchase one of the Koi she had sent. It was after 11 pm when I messaged her back. Honestly, I was not expecting a response until the next day since it was so late...but within minutes she responded. We proceeded to make the arrangements for a CurbSide pick-up the following day. She gave me the option to pay when I picked up OR I could register on their website, order a Koi, and pre- pay. I chose the latter to save us time at pick-up. Tom, the gentleman that brought out my Betta for my pickup the next day was such a friendly person, an absolute pleasure to deal with. He double checked with me to ensure that he did in fact have the Betta that I wanted. The fish was even more beautiful in person then in the picture that My Tran sent. I cannot wait to visit this store once Ontario has once again re-opened businesses. My Tran and Tom are AWESOME! Koy (my new Betta's name) is healthy, happy and gorgeous! Thank you so much for such an excellent experience from beginning to end! (The first pic is the one My Tran sent...who could resist those eyes looking at you! Lol!

This has got to be the best store I have ever been to. I live about 45 minutes away, but it's worth the drive. Staff are so friendly and actually know what they are talking about. The store is very clean and organized and the fish I bought looked really healthy, and i'm happy to say they are doing well. I was looking for an oase filter and they are the only one in Ontario I could find that had it. This is my new store for all my aquarium needs.

Great little shop! The couple that owns it were friendly and helpful and they had tons of products for the aquascaping hobby that are tough to find in person in this area. All the fish looked great. Got a super red BN pleco and he is very healthy and active and looks great. The little test "tank" setup in the hardscaping corner is a great idea to plan your setup in store and only buy exactly what you want. I plan to come back to buy my stone and driftwood especially because of it.
