This place is fantastic and close to my office. The owner is very friendly and I haven't had any issues any time I've ordered. Sure, there may be times where they run out of a certain type of fish, but they'll always offer something else and price match. One thing I do want to elaborate on is the specials. There was a one star review left here a while ago mentioning that there are two daily specials with one conveniently hidden. The $4.99 special is a piece of cod with chips and gravy. The $7.99 special is a piece of haddock with chips, pop, and your choice of gravy or coleslaw. The type of fish being ordered and the extras are what determine the price point. I don't think it's a bad thing to have multiple daily specials, you just have to be specific in ordering the right one. I generally would ignore lower ratings because I do believe it comes down to personal taste, but when part of that low rating is based on an opinion of something not being clearly stated (when it was), I only thing it's fair that it be called out.

Great value fish and chips from this small take out counter. Done fresh as you order, there's usually a bit of a wait especially at lunch, but good food at an excellent price. It's not the best fish and chips I've had but it is the best value.

Their daily special is such a good deal! A big piece of fish plus fries and some gravy on the side for only $5. The woman who owns the place is super sweet. And everything is made to order and fried fresh. It's a bit greasy, but so tasty. I stop by after work sometimes for a quick meal. Cash only.

Been living walking distance from this place for years and has served me well. Its usually the same lady there who is doing everything, she always has great service. Food is excellent and is definitely worth the price. The only reason i dont go here more often is because their restaurant isnt open late and on sundays. I almost always get the halibut special with gravy on the side, tartar sauce included. Do not hesitate to come here, if you go once i promise it will not be your last.

Great local Fish n Chip store. Been going here for years and it’s been constantly above average. Decently priced and fairly clean and I really like their fish Batter. Fan Favourites... Halibut Fish n Chips, Poutine and or Fries and gravy are really good and coleslaw works just right. Grab a Cocoa Bread from the Patty Shop inside the mall and get ready to have yourself the most Epic Fish Sandwich Combo I invented ????????????????????????????

Old style fish and chips and fries! Delicious and the portions are very big! There isn't many places like this around anymore. Prices are great. They also serve deep fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, apple pie desert, chicken fingers and much more. Always a pleasant experience that leaves my taste buds satisfied and my belly full. Great walk-in walk-out shop. Family owned, great quick service. Had a poutine and it was the delicious greasiness that I craved. Very satisfied with the portion size (got a medium but felt like a large). Another staple of the peanut plaza brigade.

Value for money fish & chips joint that only accepts cash. This place probably has the best fish & chips deal that you can get in the GTA. Everything tastes fresh, the chips, the fish and even the coleslaw. Check out their daily specials that are probably your best bet for the day. Portion sizes are very filling, including the $4.99 Tilapia deal. Their “gravy” is a beef gravy, if it is of your concern. Nevertheless, they always have they option of choosing a coleslaw instead.

This is the best value and our go to place for Fish and Chips in the GTA. If you only have $5 and change, their Daily Special (2pc fish+fries+gravy) is the best bang for your buck. Add 70cents more and you'll get a coleslaw. We've been coming here probably for 30 times since the previous owner's sister ran the place. We've never been disappointed! Mind you, their fish and chips are the best when they're fresh. We live close by, so it's always hot and delicious. But if you wait even a couple of hours, the fries becomes soggy and won't taste as good. The $4.99 fish is obviously not as good as the $7.99 Haddock Special BUT the batter is the same and it's great! (For $4.99, you can't go wrong!) The fries and gravy are really tasty. So are the coleslaw and breaded mushroom. The owners (old/new) are always friendly and welcoming. The order are freshly made so you need to wait for a bit. While you wait, there's Tone Tai / Dollarama inside the plaza so you can browse.

Ordered the daily special today, the fish and chips were fresh and crunchy. The gravy sauce is delicious too. I will definitely come back to try other things on the menu. I believe the owners were serving me? She was friendly and polite :)

Might come back for fish and chips, but for now, this rating is based solely on the poutine. It was a bit salty for my tastes and I'm not sure if you have a choice, but I would have preferred it on a plate. We got ours in a box, which stacked a lot of the fries on top of each other. Mixed with the gravy, most of it ended up being soggy. It's not a traditional poutine in that they use some shredded cheese as opposed to cheese curds. It was an average - pretty good, could be improved, but nothing that warrants a special visit here. It's more of a takeout place because there are only two small tables very close together and it's kind of dirty/sticky because Harbour fits in with the general grungy and no-frills Peanut Plaza atmosphere. Might come back to try the fish and chips so I can review the place for its specialty, but only if I'm in the area. Unlikely I'd made a special trip here.

Excellent halibut and chips! Great fries. Coleslaw too! Felt really authentic. Good sized portions for the price. Only thing preventing it from being five star in my books was lack of debit. Cash only is a hassle, especially when the bank machine in the mall is down. Will be going back for sure.

This is my go to place for fresh cut fries. It is really a greasy spoon and got take out. I always. get the daily special. Haddock can of pop and coleslaw. For under $10 including tax. Cash only. Fries are a little greasy but much cheaper than other fish and chips places.

I've lived in the area for years & I can't believe this was my 1st time here, it's a hidden gem. I had the halibut & it was yummy. The batter is thin & crispy with ample fish. Great portion size at a good price, $10/piece. I will definitely try more of the menu. They have cod, haddock, calamari, poutine & more. The owner was sweet.

I have tried this place yesterday and am astonished by the quality and flavours. The fish although was on the greaser side with the chips felt like Britian and is well worth the price for the special.

They have two "daily specials" when you ask for the daily special. The one advertised outside is $4.99 but the one conveniently hidden inside is $7.99. The fries are extremely under-cooked and the fish is nothing special. Portion sizes are really small given the price as well. But the worst part is overwhelming smell of grease inside the tiny store that literally has no ventilation. I went home smelling like grease. And to top it all off, they opened 15 minutes late. Customer service is non-existent here. Never going back.

I had the combo which was 9$ for 1 piece halibut, fries, coleslaw and a drink.... cheapest fish and chips combo I’ve ever seen. It was ok, very oily and could feel the grease come out of my pores.... which is fine ... I would have rated 3 stars at least however 2 hours after eating I turned green in the face and had a extremely upset stomach for a few hours to say the least. I’d rather pay 10 times the price for decent quality and fresh food than old fish brought back to life by sizzling oil. Won’t be coming back here again.

Fish n chips for $4.99 is unheard of! The fish portion was a bit small (see attached photo), but hey, for 5 dollars, what more can you ask. It was tasty. No complaints. It took a bit of time to fry, so I suggest you call in and place the order earlier. Oh and this place is cash only, cards are not accepted.
