We've ordered a couple of times through Uber Eats and have loved them! Fish is tender and flavourful, chips are still crispy, and the service is great. I've had to call them to get what's in their fridge for drinks and everyone is nice and helpful. Can't wait until after this pandemic to visit them in person!

You have one day to get it right. Good Friday 2020. I waited 50 minutes outside this establishment keeping safe distance. All the while, Uber, and the other delivery services went to the back to pick up their orders. Then just as I was about to enter, a woman came out and said they didn't have any fish left. Then she added, "didn't realise the line went so far back. Pathetic. a slap in the face for all your regular customers.

I normally order through Uber Eats as DoorDash is too expensive for delivery. Having said this, the food that I've had has been incredible. I order Halibut & Chips every day for Lunch, and the only trouble I've ever had is with the Uber delivery person. The owber Peter is fantastic and is generous and friendly. For $5 I couldn’t believe how good it was ! Mr. Peter the owner is one of those old school business owners who makes it all about the customers. He was kind enough to customize my meal a bit. Fish was perfect. Chips were on point. Definitely a repeat customer. A hidden gem in the city for sure????

WOW. I am super super impressed! The batter was so light and flaky and the fish inside was perfectly soft and well cooked. Don’t expect much from the interiors, but I’m always 100% about the food, specially at their prices. The takeout special is amazing! (Tax is included!) It’s fish and chips for $5 Make it 2 pieces - $8 You can add more pieces for $2.50 each I think. Substitute fries for onions rings for an extra $1. The fish is pollock, if it makes any difference to you. Mind you, these are big pieces! I could barely eat 2. Tried the Halibut as well. It is definitely good fish by itself. But when it comes to battered fish, it doesn’t make a difference, in my opinion.

This is by far one of the best Fish & Chips available in Canada. Peter and June owners of this place have been in the business for too long to let any body else take their share of the market. They give some of the best places in town a run for their money. They also have cheaper options for people who may not be able to afford the expensive stuff and I believe this is as good as giving back to the community. I prefer to support businesses like this. I was passing by all these days and today decided to walk in, they were almost closing but accommodated my order and ever provided me with a very large portion of hot fries. I'm for sure going back to this place once again as I know good food and fresh fish too well and these guys know how to make it.

Stopped by because the special advertised on the sign caught my attention: fish&chip&pop special—$5!!!! Who can beat that? As soon as I entered, I was met by the quaintest, coziest little diner filled with all sorts of underwater themed curios and sketches of the restaurant owner adorning the wallpapered walls. As an incontrollable smile took over face, a friendly old man appeared from the kitchen. I asked him for the special and as he prepared it, I continued to enjoy the decor and read the countless newspaper reviews. The tantalizing smell of fried fish filled my nostrils as I drifted away into nostalgia. I daydreamed of a time when friends and neighbours could gather here with Peter (the old man/owner). Before I knew it, my order was ready. I couldn’t believe that it was ACTUALLY $5! I thanked Peter profusely and greedily took my hunt away to enjoy at home. When I opened the box back at home, I was pleasantly surprised to see a large portion of fish on a bed of homemade thick-cut greasy fries. This meal totally hit the spot! I would return to this place for lunch every other day if I lived closer!

Bit hole in the wall. Not a lot of seating, but this isn't a problem for me, personally. Little lacking in menu options, but it's a small business and oh boy are the options good. It has mushy peas which is a must-have side order for fish and chips, in my opinion. Unfortunately, does not carry beer. I stress how good the existing options, are, though. It's nice to be able to order just fish, or less fries. They have fried clams and fries as an option, too! The coleslaw is just amazing.

Wow. Amazing first visit! My fiancé and I are staying at an Airbnb in the area and are so glad we stopped in for dinner. The prices are absolutely unbeatable. We met the owners son and he never stopped moving - great cook and great at working the front of the house as well. He was very very pleasant and went out of his way to make us feel at home and full!! The fish was crispy, not too greasy and really fresh. The fries are cut and fried in house and you can really tell. The gravy was thick and not too sweet. I would give 10 stars if I could! I highly recommend and I can’t wait to come back with my parents. Thank you again for a great meal.

We went on sunday all you can eat fish and chip for 9.95$ The guy was working alone. Taking orders and cooking the fish all by himself. The fish was just full of batter and the fish was small once you remove all the batter aroun it. It has no taste to it. No salt or pepper. It was bland. We were 5 people at the table and only one enjoyed it. The fries were the good part. But if you order the scallops, they delicious. Not to oily and they had flavor in it.

Dropped in tonight on my way home from Eglinton to try this place for the first time as I've been meaning to do for a while. The traffic slowed and I noticed they were still open. Being a Newfoundlander I ordered the cod and I was not disappointed! Two nice size pieces of fish on delicious, well cooked chips. Still crispy by the time I got home not even greasy or soggy! I loved it and I will be back. And the owner seemed like a very nice man as well. I always love getting to meet the owners. Thank you for the best fish and chips I've had since I lived in Toronto!

This place has always been average tasting and overpriced with some very rude employees, but this Good Friday (2020) was the worst by any restaurant I have ever been to. They did not answer the phone for orders, and there was a line outside for walk in ordering. We watched in shock as an employee came outside to talk to an UBER driver and SHOOK HIS HANDS!!! Neither one was wearing a mask or gloves and then he walked back inside using all the door knobs. People had been standing in line for almost an hour, I had been in line for 25 minutes, when at 6:07 pm an employee came out to tell everyone that they were out of food. Honestly, what the hell is that? I will NEVER go back and I will pass this information on to all my family, friends and neighbors who had eaten here before.I wish this app would let me post NO STARS! They suck!

If you like mold in a bowl, this the place to go. Bought some cole slaw and when I got home opened the styrofoam container and found mold around the rim. Took it back the next day informed the old gentleman about the mold he shrugged his shoulders. His response was I made it yesterday. Then he asked me if I wanted another one or the money. He didn't even apologize. I've been here in the past and enjoyed the food, but after this I won't be going back. Check your food before leaving this place.

We used to eat here all the time when we lived in the area. We decided to try to order in via DoorDash, and couldn’t be more disappointed. We ordered a lot of food, over $130, for the whole family and were completely disappointed. Can anyone look at this order of Calamari and tell me that a) you would want to eat one, or that b) it was a full order? We ordered a Large Seafood Halibut platter, and it was missing both pieces of Halibut. We ordered a 2 Pc Halibut and Chips, and it only came with 1 piece. We also ordered a single piece of Halibut, with special instructions to pan fry without breading (we called on the phone to confirm that they could do this), and it came breaded and deep fried. The mushy peas were missing entirely, and we asked to substitute Onion Rings with the Chicken Fingers, which wasn’t done. Every order came with very few chips (not like potatoes are expensive) and the overall quality of the food was poor. Before filing a complaint with DoorDash, I called the restaurant back to tell them of all the problems. The “assistant manager” called me a liar, said I should call back during the week if I wanted to keep complaining, and hung up on me. I wouldn’t buy another thing from this restaurant if it was the last restaurant in the city.

I don’t live in the area but was visiting Yorkdale and decided to pick up fish and chips. This place was excellent! We ordered cod & chips, halibut & chips, coleslaw and gravy. It was still super crispy by the time we got home. Fish wasn’t oily at all. Fries and gravy were great. Would definitely recommend and come back if ever in the area.

Ordered via doordash and the fish was still so crispy when I sat down to eat. I enjoyed hearing the crunch! Crust was thin and light, fish was moist and plentiful. One and a half piece and I could barely finish. Nice thick fries soft and fluffy inside. It also wasn't heavily salted so some may want to add more salt if they are big on sodium. Came with two small tartar sauce and some vinegar packs. I will do in person next time and buy again, totally enjoyed it.

They are also very generous when I wrote a note to kindly include mayonnaise (which I mistakenly meant as the tartar sauce), they gave me containers of mayonnaise along with generous amounts of tartar sauce and vinegrette! Staff in the restaurant friendly and obviously care about the products they serve as well as the customers they deal with. Personalized hand written thank you on the bag is a very nice touch!
