I’m fairly new to fishing . I went to Highwater to buy some lure and to get my rod fixed . I met Max @ High water who spent a good amount time teaching me what techniques to employ in order to catch salmon. I went angling the next day and coughs my first salmon. Good costumer service ,in depth knowledge knowledge of what they do , fantastic attitude and reasonable prices

This has got to be the best angling shop on the lower mainland. Staff is extremely helpful. I have been able to get into hundred of salmon this summer with their help. If you're wondering about price, they are as competitive as anyone. I did some online digging prior to a few big purhcases and they were priced the same or better on everything I needed. Plus their advice is priceless!

I'm relatively new to fly fishing, and was reluctant to just walk into a store and drop a small fortune on gear to get myself started. As most consumers would these days, I did a lot of research online before I went in to Highwater. Being a salesman myself previously I know that dealerships will often "sell what they have" as apposed to what is "best for the costumers needs". I called in advance to make sure that they had what I was looking for and found Gillian to be very pleasant over the phone. When I arrived at the store I was helped out by a young gentleman named Wes (I think) and his knowledge of their products, and obvious honesty was exactly what I needed to make me comfortable in my purchasing. I've since been back to the store to stock up and was helped out by Matt who took the time to answer all of my questions, direct me to the right flies and even inspire a little confidence in my abilities. This store is a class act, for any retail store, in any industry. Bravo Highwater staff, you've won all my future business!

I've visited Highwater Tackle for past few years now. They have the gear for all fishing kind. I have mostly dealt with Gill and Malcolm who helped me with smart picks and got me set up for the year! They are both very knowledgeable and super helpful. Even though I visited minutes before closing time on a Saturday, Malcolm was kind enough to set me up with what I needed. Definitely recommend checking them out and you'll be glad you did.

I have been visiting this shop for a few years now. Always extremely helpful. Every staff member is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Don't be embarrassed If your new to fishing. If you ask they will even give you printouts on how to setup your rod for various scenarios. I purchased a Fenwick baitcast rod here that I ended up breaking. They took care of the warranty and got me a new rod free of charge. They have custom ordered me in flies if they run out of a specific fly. I can't say enough about this place. I will be a lifetime customer. Keep up the great work Highwater Tackle.

I am so happy with them, maybe they repaired my Scotty down rigger under the warranty more than 2/3 times. They are so helpful answering all the questions and super friendly. Terrible experience here. I came in as a tourist looking for some basic advice on salmon fishing in the area. The middle aged guy that dealt with me was very rude, sarcastic and unhelpful from the start. I've been fishing over 20 years and have been to alot of tackle shops. This was definetly my worst experience. I can understand that tourists probably get annoying from time to time but this was customer service at its worst from the first sentance he spoke. A friend of mine was in the tackle shop a week previous, dealt with the same guy and left as a result. Disappointing as the google reviews were good and the tackle seemed well priced.

We are super disappointed with their customer service, particularly with one Asian guy who works there, he hates children n let you know that very clearly. He never even greets us when we come as a family, never offers any help, option or alternative when they are out of things. Super rude behavior n we will never come back. So sad considering this is the only professional fishing store on the North Shore.

The store carries a wide variety of gear and equipment for both conventional anglers and fly fishermen alike.
