Pizza tasted pretty good and base was very fresh. Due to covid, we didn't get a seat at patio, but we were glad that we ordered a take- out and sat at benches next to the lake, where the view was mesmerizing.

I started a tradition by taking my staff out on my birthday to the boat. Now the 4th year in a row and always the same day. The location is beautiful and the boat WOULD HAVE so much potential. WOULD HAVE, because I noticed a slow decay of service, food quality and missing upkeep. The inside is a no-go if you came to see something nice. So outside it is. The boat deck and its planks look run down and dirty. The table was cleaned, but an old 6pack cardboard of corona was used to have ketchup, mustard and other utils in place. The problem there is that the card board was sun faded, rain drenched and ketchup covered. The food was mediocre at best. I don't even recall what we ordered, but everyone of our party of 6 was disappointed.

The setting, service and views were excellent and that’s why I’m giving two stars. The food wasn’t very good. I had the calamari which was overcooked and the fish tacos. The fish in the tacos honestly tasted and looked like canned fish. I was expecting breaded fish but it was super wet and salty. My husband had Philly flatbread and it came out cold. The menu needs a lot of improvements!

Best patio in North Bay, one of the best I've been to anywhere. Nothing can beat this spot for a cold beer on a beautiful North Bay summer day. The food is fantastic, especially the fresh fish. Personally, I recommend the fish tacos.

I can only rate the cranberry and goat cheese salad which was disappointing. Goat cheese was practically non existent. This salad for $12.99 was mostly lettuce. The dressing was good. My friend and I did express our disappointment to the server, who passed it on to the inside staff. We were given 10% off our meal, which was good of them to do that. I hope they take our critique seriously and ramp up this salad for future customers. The setting is wonderful, right on the lake - so relaxing. Our server Stephanie was friendly and helpful. I would go here again, and will try something else from the menu.

I really want to love the Boat as it’s such a cool spot - right on Lake Nipissing. Alas, the last two meals I’ve had there are sub par with tonight’s meal being the absolute worst. I can’t even say it’s “typical pub fare” because it was just bad all around. We ordered two buffalo chicken wrap meals with fries and gravy on the side. The gravy was honestly the worst; I told the waitress and she said that it’s odd we say that as it’s new and usually people love it; that it’s vegan and gluten free. Welllll... it tasted like old mushrooms. I feel like vegan/gluten free should be an option you request- not automatically served. Thankfully they didn’t charge us the gravy but imagine my disappointment if I had ordered a poutine! Hahaha. Gravy is not what it used to be! The Fries must have been frozen fries- not fresh cut. They were mushy on the inside- just bad. Not what the fries used to be! Lastly, the wraps.... I wanted to like it; but just couldn’t. The Caesar salad was soggy and soaked in dressing, the chicken was very mediocre. The buffalo wraps used to be so good! My iced tea was good though. So that’s something ????????‍♀️

This restaurant offers a great view of the lake, it is uniquely on a boat and has great potential. I didn't have a good experience due to receiving undercooked chicken in my clubhouse sandwich which had to be dealt with. A few other observed areas of improvement, first would be acknowledging all customers awaiting to be seated rather than leaving them to wonder who will take care of their needs. Second, removing all visible access to cell phones that were clearly observed to be a contending first priority for some staff. Third, if a customer does have an issue with the meal it would be ideal to have someone from the kitchen staff or the manager to come out and also take accountability for the issue, not leave the waitress to remain the mediator, this would provide reinforcement of care and concern.

Good food, good service, and an amazing view. My wife and I have lunch or dinner here whenever we get an opportunity. The food is really good, we haven't had a meal that wasn't delicious yet. Lots of pub style food, fried, with some other fresh options as well. I suggest trying the Pogo. The service is always good. Friendly staff from the moment you walk up to the send-off as you leave. The view is amazing. Sitting right on the edge of Nipissing, with the waves splashing on the nearby rocks. All while either sitting on the deck around the landlocked boat, or inside the old boat that used to tour Lake Nipissing on chartered tours and has since been retired.

Nice views of the lake ! We are here around 3pm on Friday. There were only 3 tables with customers at the time. The hostess was not in the front so we walked towards the lake side patio. She then came over and asked if we read the sign / to tell us that we should have waited to be seated ( ?) We went today and had some beer, burger and the “ steak- pizza” like item($16.99) The food came what seems like extremely fast :) Anchor burger $(15.99+) was great and generous portion. We asked for some barbecue sauce on the side - was surprised when they charged us .... Asked to sub onion rings for fries and said it was fine but then charged $2.

The food wasn't bad but the service was terrible, our visit began with a dirty chair at our table. The waitress came to us twice and serviced the people behind us frequently. One of our guests waited for her food that didn't arrive until AFTER we all had finished eating. Asked for the manager and she was disgustingly rude!!! We told her we wouldn't return and she said "That's Your Opinion" that is no manager. Find another position because your obviously better than eating then managing.

The only good thing about this place is the view. I went there with my mother, sister and my 2 year old niece and sat on the patio. We were not greeted in a pleasant manner at all. The waitress however somewhat turned the experience around trying her best with how busy it was. Right before our food came out, the weather began to change and it was getting chilly to be out on the patio. I went in to ask the hostess if we can move inside, she asked a Manager (maybe) who said there is a reservation in 45 minutes. I asked her if we could just eat and leave, I was rudely told NO. Side note, there was NO ONE sitting inside at this time. Once I came back outside, my food was served cold and only getting colder with the weather. Needless to say, we devoured our food and go out of there. I would recommend to sit on the patio and have a drink, but that's about it.

Got seated quickly. Food came out quickly too. The food was great. The cocktail was weak. The service was less than attentive. I had to ask for cutlery, plates, napkins, etc. They did not remove used plates. They Did not offer to top up water and drinks. It was a very underwhelming experience. Nice sunset & view of the lake though.

We had a reservation for two and were immediately seated upon arrival. First time for me, second for my partner. The views were spectacular, food and drink selection were very good. Had the Sangria, and the fish Taco's, which were delicious! Our server Daniella was very attentive, and went above and beyond for us. Would definitely recommend, and we would go back anytime! *Sidenote* protocols in place, well organized with seating outside only, and ample space between tables.

Wow where do I even begin, since the opening of this restaurant after lockdown I wonder if they hired all inexperienced staff?!?!?. The service was slow, we were never looked after and once we asked to speak to the manager she approached our table and said "What's up?" Like we were buddies of hers. Well I'll tell you whats up. Your attitude stinks, so does your service. And after I address my concerns to you your response shouldn't be "Well that's your opinion." Find a new job because you are not fit to be manager. They should have stuck you in the kitchen away from customers. First and last time I'll ever return.

We planned a last min trip to north bay and when driving by we just had to stop at this cool restaurant! The staff was super friendly and the food was amazing and can I just say the views from the patio ;-) amazing !!! definitely a place we will be recommending to friends who come to visit ! The boat has the best patio in north bay because it’s the only one that doesn’t face a road. The food there is not expensive and you get a lot. They have lots of drink specials too. At night it turns into a bar and it’s always a good time.

I really want to say, I participated in every single snack of the supper in The Boat. I had a 3 course dinner, with a few ales. Considering the quality, the expense is reasonable. Ideal for the people who need a genuine night out. There was also a ton of room for more noteworthy get-togethers.

Good food and perfect location on the water. Just watch out for shad fly season. Love going here for a nighttime drink or an afternoon lunch on a sunny day. Patio is great!

Boat was a cool concept...view was beautiful. But service was terrible. We received our appetizer before our drinks...never received the water we asked for and didnt get cuttlery for our meal. We asked for cuttlery and the waitress never came back so we had to take some from another table.
