Someone please bring back Tex seafood this place is awful I should’ve known something was up when there wasn’t a single person in the restaurant, the batter is one of the worst I’ve ever had, you know what it taste like frozen fish and chips out of the freezer from Sobey‘s, it's just cheap with their cheap Frozen french fries And they don’t know how to make a nice crispy batter fluffy batter it’s more like a bread crumb batter it’s just God awful,But they sure don’t mind charging top dollar, and I certainly don’t mind paying top dollar but this is one of the worst I’ve ever had take some pride in your ownership North Bay you can do better then this

went to joey's on good friday, had the worst service and the worst food i ever had in a long time. we waited for 55 minutes to get our food. and trust me i understand that they were busy, and i took that in stride..... but when people are getting served there food before you are, and you order your food way before they even sat down. theres a problem. so i nicely mentioned that to our waiter and she said oh yours is coming right now. sooooo we wait and wait and wait, finally i had to grab another waitress and say like whats going on were is our food. she said ill check for you.so our waitress comes back and says oh you ordered the salmon it takes 20 min. to cook. i can tell you the size of salmon i got did not take 20 min. to cook. 13 dollars for a salad that smelled and tasted musty and a piece of salmon that (and im not kidding when i say this) was as wide as two pens over cooked. wow i will never go there a gain. and the 8 guests that i brought will never go either. the waitress brought our bill after us only having two bites of our meal. ....guess they didnt want us to have coffee or dessert...... what a joke........very disappointing. and here i was saying it was a great place to go.what a shame......

There was no single fish and chips pricing on menu. So I asked the waitress to help me "decode" the menu...which she did manage after some stammering...eventually my Boyfriend ordered the 2pc. pollock and I just ordered an add on of 1 pc of halibut. When receiving our dinner we noticed there was some added salt/spices on the fries...Ewww. I mean I understand that everyone has different tastes, but clearly our waitress was able to identify that we had not eaten there before and might have thought it beneficial to let the customer know. When I mentioned it she simply stated that yes they do put some added spices and that I should've asked ahead of time...oh yeah but I guess if this is your first visit....<---her words. Lol. I was somewhat disappointed. She never offered a discount or to have them replaced at the very least. I would expect more from a franchised establishment such as this. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING! NOT WORTH THE AMOUNT YOU CHARGE!

The staff was not that helpful or nice. We could see them chatting in the kitchen but they never came out to see about our drinks. We sat there for most of the night with empty glasses. Unless we went out if our way we would not of had any service at all! They set plates for my wife and I but not our son (I had to ask for his plate). They also failed to tell us that items the kids menu included spices. Really!! Spice on kids meals! Our son could not eat his meal. When we asked the waitress she just replied "that should be written on the menu" and walked away. We still paid full price for something he could not eat. He was sick most of the night because of this. The food was nothing special (the tartar sauce was terrible). The fish tasted the same as stuff you buy at the supper market. I gave 1 star because the soup was actually good. We will not be returning.

back on July 4th, I ate at Joey's, and was not pleased. I wrote a letter but received no reply, so now and posting what happened. I was in for lunch, there were several other folks in as well, maybe 8 people in all. I ordered, and while waiting, was looking around at changes made. The TV that use to be on the kitchen wall is gone, a drywall patch a 5 year old could do, hanging ugly in it's place. At the front of the store, where the TV was, cables hanging from the ceiling. Very untidy.. One waitress was trying to explain to another, in front of customers, that having 2 liters of vinegar was not enough for a full day, and it was not sinking in. When my food arrived, there was one long piece of fish, with three smaller pieces making up the second I had ordered. There was lots of batter, but very little fish inside. The gravy seemed very watered down now, too. While eating, I watched as two elderly women came in and waited for service at the front. On my watch they waited almost 3 minutes, while the staff were all in the kitchen laughing and talking. Finally, I turned around and yelled quite loudly, "hey, you have customers out here!" The staff did not respond, and so I turned and yelled louder. Finally someone came out and seated the women. As they walked by, the ladies thanked me. I was polite but expressed my displeasure to the woman whom took my money, but no apology was made. I refuse top pay for service such as this again.

They don't answer the phones and leave them off the hook on Tuesday nights because its is " the all you can eat fish night" That way they aren't as busy. Gave me wrong type of Coleslaw. Polite staff, not totally informed of all they offer. Clean, bathroom door didn't lock. Wasn't comforting. Not well managed l think!

Not good at all, everything tasted awful. Their portions are not worth the price. With only two groups (one was already served, ate and was just hanging out) in the whole restaurant, the whole process managed to take us over an hour and a half to get out of there. Their tartar sauce taste like swamp butt. Their caesar salad was really spicy, explain that one. Their mash potatoes with red skin, were brown potatoes mashed with some disgusting spice. With chucks of I'm scared to ask. Their chicken was dry and bland. My kids didn't like their food. The server was nice. Just fire that trash cook.

Fish Tacos on Thursday's are amazing. If you can consume more than two, pay the little extra to upgrade your dinner to all-you-can-eat. They are filled with wholesome shredded cabbage, hot sauce, fresh cutting peppers and some cheese. The are served with fries (they taste "from frozen" but hey, your here for the tacos not the fries!!!). The coalslaw is pretty good too. Regardless of when you go, the homemade tartar sauce is delightful. It comes in a huge squeeze tube so I'm unsure of the source or brand, but it's damn good! The seating is ample for people in groups of four or less. Service is a bit on the slower side but they are pretty friendly nonetheless.

They turned my mom away when she brought the cake for my uncle's 80th. First time a restaurant stops us from bringing a birthday cake. Nice place but probably last time I go eat there. So many other choices in town.

Paid $26 and change for a single halibut and a poutine. Halibut was a tiny portion that was not very fresh tasting, poutine came as cheese on fries with the gravy as a side dish. Fries were very over salted and the cheese was very stingy in proportion to the amount of fries. Overall I'm very disappointed, as the quality was nowhere close to what the Google ratings suggest, especially for the price.
