I find it so difficult to find a GOOD fish and chip place where you get a good serving and food that is not soaking in oils. THIS IS THE PLACE! The food is excellent here and not over priced. The owner is very friendly and attentive. They have a 2nd location in Stoney Creek. We are going to check that out too.

Placed our order the day before for Good Friday order. Halibut was (if it was Halibut) 4 forks and it was done. All batter and very little fish. Portions were small for the Haddock dinner. Had to wait despite the pick up time, but I get that it is a very busy day for them. Next time we will go elsewhere. Very disappointing.

This isn't a fancy place to be certain. The fish was from frozen as well as the fries. Prices were a bit high for what we were served. My friend asked for a glass of cold water, but they apparently aren't allowed to by law, but they offered bottled water. Shameful.

Me and my family were visiting Niagara falls from the US and everywhere we went to eat within a mile radius from our hotel the embassy suites including the embassy suites was ridiculously overpriced but luckily we found this place. It was about a 10 min drive away if that and the prices were way more reasonable on top of the food tasting good

I got some lakeport delivered. I do not eat fish so I got a hamburger and poutine. Nothing was on the burger literally no toppings what so ever and I did not receive my poutine. Boyfriends fish and fries were fine so disappointed as I made the order at 2pm to have at 630!!!!

Ordered 1 piece of halibut, sad tiny fillet. Ordered premium halibut thin and even smaller than the halibut. Clam strips Ala carte. pathetic portion. Scallops were good. 54$ in all and the bag was light as a feather. Never felt so ripped off.

The fish is 90% batter. It is tasteless, and very greasy. The pieces of fish are tiny. The fries are always very under cooked. The prices aren't terribly expensive compared to some places, but its crazy that they expect people to pay extra for tartar sauce with a $15+ meal.

The fish was so bad I couldn't eat it , tried to talk to the manager and he wouldn't return my calls. So I waited until I thought the management had changed ,it did. I ordered a dinner two small pieces of fish , chips and famous coleslaw about $14 but I didn't get my coleslaw wasn't in my order, So I went back to see the manager when it wasn't busy to tell him what happened. He said he didn't think I got bad fish on my first visit and it was too bad I didn't get my coleslaw. Maybe you will have better luck Just checking the reviews looks like the employees are putting five star reviews to lift the rating, how about better customer service?

Preordered food the night before for curb side pickup. They made me wait HALF AN HOUR in my car before bringing out my food. Did they not even start making it until I got there?! I had an order of chicken fingers that were so small; it looks like something from a kids menu. Two bites each. What a joke. The order of mozzarella sticks were so burnt that they had little to no cheese left inside them. Fries were mushy. So disappointed in our food and service. I wouldn’t have left a tip online when ordering if I knew this was what I was going to receive.

I put a online order in at 5pm for a 6pm pick up. I showed up at 5:52 and stood there till 6:51 while watching people who had orders for 6:30 pick up and walk out. In the end there was no apology for the losing my ticket. If you have a problem with the online service then shut it down. Def will not be back and will spread the word .

Terrible fish; greasy and tasteless. My order took forever! Guy who took my order didn't smile and looked stressed out. Few tables inside were dirty and so was the floor. I went during lunch rush so maybe people had just eaten, left and tables hadn't been cleaned yet, but still was upsetting to see. I gave them 1 stars because the french fries were decent.

Waited 17 minutes at the front counter of the store and no-one came out. Could only hear someone berating and shouting at two employees in the back. Several other people were also inside waiting. An Uber driver waiting for an order had already been there for over twenty minutes. This all happened mid-afternoon on a Wednesday, well after lunch and before dinner. I ended up walking out. The same thing happened about a week earlier when I went in to place an order. Prior to this, service was always efficient. Are there new people who have taken over the business?? I don't know how else to explain consistently good service over several years to suddenly become this bad.

Zero stars. Ordered out from work with my entire shift. The order was somewhat correct. 12 guys ordering food at once a mistake or two is expected. The big mistake was ordering from here in the first place. My order was $16 after taxes for a "2 piece dinner and fries". For the money I was expecting a meal. The two pieces of fish I was served weren't even as long as the $20 bill I used to pay for it. Then when we called back because no tartar sauce had been provided (even after we ordered extra) we were told that tartar sauce was extra... really? $16 a serving and you charge extra for tartar sauce? How ignorant. I've never been to a retaurant or ordered fish from anywhere in Ontario or western New York and been charged extra for tartar sauce. Headed and gutted haddock is selling for $500 a metric ton. By weight what I got was less than a dollar worth market value. Their prices for what you get is ridiculous. If you want to waste your money and still be hungry check these guys out soon. The place won't be around for much longer. What a joke.

Yuck. $20 spent on undercooked, bland fish. Served in a basket with a flimsy plastic fork. Better off just using nothing but your hands. Went to wash my hands and no paper towels. Sigh. Used toilet paper to wipe my hands. Tartar sauce that is yellow/orange, pre-packaged, and flavorless. 'How many tartar sauces would you like?' Oh. You charge per packet. Of course you do. Whats the use of complaining to the 16 year old running the place? Like he would care. After taking a bite out of the fish, I tossed both pieces into the bin, then doused the fries with salt and vinegar, and ate what I could. At a dollar each, the fries were ok. At least the salt was salty. Why bother with this place when Union Jack is miles and miles ahead of these guys. The only reason why I came here was because Union Jack is closed Sundays. Never in a million years would I go back to this place. Yuck. In regards to the response from the owner. Do you truly believe that "bulk tartar sauce', available across North America, is preferable to a house made product? Seriously? All it takes is a little time, and some Real Ingredients. Good quality Mayo, fresh lemon juice, finely diced cornichon and red onion, some salt and pepper. Its not difficult. If you are going to charge a premium, don't be lazy and serve a pedestrian product. Take care.

Hi. When my wife and I fancy fish and chips we usually go to Lakeport fish and chips on Lundy,s lane in Niagara falls, as we enjoy it, we picked up fish and chips on Sunday July 12th at approx 7.30 pm, this fish was as good as always, but the chips were over cooked to the point where some were too hard to put our forks in, I also ordered a small mushy peas, the peas I could not eat as they were a like dry paste, I will be going back there, hoping that this was just a one off. I only did a one star for the last order that I had, the person who packed the order must have know the condition of the fry,s and the mushy peas. I understand that this was not a good review, but the food should have been better,

The food was ok. Fries were below par but the fish was ok. Prices are on the high end, too. And there’s no plates: paper baskets and pre-packaged plastic cutlery with salt and pepper packets. The amount of waste generated is ridiculous. The tartar sauce is pretty bad too. It tastes like ketchup. This would’ve been a three star review, but I’m giving two stars because I can’t believe this place will not give water. Yep. No water unless you buy bottled... no tap water available. Wait, what?? How is that even possible. You must buy water if you want a drink. Is that even legal? Not happy.

I have been eating at the Niagara Falls location for a few years, and have put up with the lack of air conditioning in the summer, and the freezing cold interior in the winter, but now I have given up eating at this establishment. The interior is becoming more dirty each year, so even with the food being very good, I will not give them my patronage anymore

Overcrowded not following rules of covid-19 I waited 90 minutes and in the end did not get my order and had to get a refund the staff were rude to customers that were also waiting 90 minutes to 2 hours for their food orders continue taking orders while they were so far behind telling everybody 10 to 15 minutes to wait which was untrue very unorganized and disappointing will not return

Ordered over $100 worth of food for delivery and was told it would take 1 hour. 2 hours later the food arrived cold with items that were ordered missing. There were no napkins, plates, cutlery - nothing, just cold seafood, - even though they knew they were delivering to a hotel. When I called to complain I was told they they lost my phone number, and had another delivery to do first. Also told that I had to ask for plates and even NAPKINS when ordering. No offer to bring the missing items , no offer of any refund, just a credit when I order next - so I can enjoy more cold food. Appalling customer service - I would advise against ordering from here. Regarding the owner's response - it's true, they only charged for the cold food they delivered - but it wasn't the complete order. Perhaps the full order was lost, along with my phone number. The owner mentioned a computer crash when I called to inquire where the food was after waiting an hour and twenty minutes, I also heard they were very busy, and had other deliveries - Imagine, other deliveries for a restaurant that offers delivery service - who'd have thought! Regardless, the food was cold, the order took 1 hour and 45 minutes to arrive, and the owner seems only interested in blaming the customers rather than taking some initiative to improve service. If you look through the other reviews - poor customer service and blaming customers for their poor experience seems to be a trend. You've lost this customer.

Horrible service! Good Friday order. Called Wed to pick up Fri. We were supposed to be called Thursday to confirm order. They didn't call. I called and sat on redial for 45 mins. Got thru and onfirmed the order. When I paid and picked up, got home it was wrong.. we drove back, across town, they would not replace the now cold food, and were rude, and insisted they would not have made a mistake entering the order. We have been customers here for years. We have bought from Lakeport every Good Friday....Not any more! We will never buy from here again. Two years in a row, Good Fri dinner was wrong, but still came back. No apologies, no gesture to offer good service. I will be sure to inform everyone of the terrible customer service. Very very disappointed.

I heard about this place on the radio and saw it while in Niagara for March break with the family so we checked it out..... we got a family meal which included 6 pieces of fish and plenty of chips. We also had coconut shrimp and coleslaw. All was delicious! There are plenty of other options on the menu like poutine and deep fried oreo. There are even 4 types of fish to choose from. There service was very friendly.

The last 2 visits here was quite disappointing. Once the fish was so small and thin ( not cheepie night ) it was so crispy wasn't edible. Tonight dinner was cold, soggy, and my fish was not cooked. Fries were cold. I give them 2 stars because they are so nice.

Nice little restaurant known for the seafood. You get English style fish and chips. They got different types of fish. Pollock, halibut, haddock or cod. They have specials on different days of week. Tuesdays you get one good size fish and chips with tartar sauce. It's pretty good deal. Lady order taker was friendly food was very good specifically the fries were fresh just as the fish.

The fish was so overcooked and greasy that it was not even edible. It looked like they put the fish in the fryer a second time from a previous order as the batter was such a dark brown colour and did not smell very good either. Never had this happen here before but will never order again from this restaurant.

Their poutine and shrimp is absoultely delicous, and the Owner Karen is very kind and warm hearted and will do what ever it takes to make sure the costumer is sastified. However, on more than one occasion an employee there has been very rude to my wife over the phone (she is pregnant) and also took it apon herself to call us from her personal cell phone harassing us because we complained to the Owner. Overall great food, great owner, needs better employees.

They renovated to give customers more seating room, but failed to make it comfortable, there is no heat in the seating area. It's a little pricey when you have to eat with plastic forks and your food is on paper plates.

People would come in and order and get there food before us. Not sure but has happened 3x in a row of trying to order. Which i can figure out why i always have to wait longer when we order. If you have time to wait the food is good but i dont like waiting longer than the time ordered placed. Even other people would notice the same that i seemed to be overlooked. I moved to Niagara Falls a few months ago and someone recommended this place to me. I was super excited because I love fish and chips. But all my excitement was for nothing when I got there just to be told they don’t have halibut. I have never heard of a fish and chips place that doesn’t have halibut. When the other fish and chips place I opened near by, lakeport finally said they ordered halibut but it was on back order. After a while I finally saw it on their menu so I ordered it. Hands down the worst halibut I have ever had in my life, if what I got was even halibut. It looked nothing like halibut and it tasted really fishy, something that halibut really shouldn’t taste like.

We had Haddock fish. It was just delicious. We have had fish n chips in many restaurants in Mississauga and elsewhere but theirs is the best. Very thin batter and a thick piece of fish. Whenever we come to Niagara falls we have it.

This was our 1st time eating Lakeport Fish & Chips in the Falls...words cannot express how good it was...the portions were large, the batter was light & flaky, lots of chips, coleslaw was delicious...incredibly good good flavour. We ordered online without issue & they had our order ready within 5 minutes of our requested time, but in fairness, they were crazy busy at 5 p.m. on a Fruday afternoon. Oh, and treat yourself to a pineapple crullers for dessert...it's a pineapple ring dipped in batter & deep fried sprinkled with powder sugar...sooo good. Cannot recommend them enough. Thank you Lakeport for a fantastic dinner, our new go to place for fish & chips.

Wednesday is the shrimp and chip special and Tuesdays is the fish and chip one. Get there early to avoid the line ups. Call ahead and it will speed up your day. Their new renovations after the car crashed in to their store front looks great Good job guys ! Tried their bacon poutine yesterday, not bad but I miss the real Quebec cheese curds. Their choice of melted cheese was ok actually.

Probably a good 4 years later and I'm having fish and chips. Damn that's long. Even though I enjoyed their fish, I absolutely hated using plastic cutlery. It just made it so hard to eat with a tiny fork and knife and just wasn't as enjoyable as it would have been with regular cutlery and perhaps in a plate. .

Ordering online was great I thought the website was user friendly in my opinion ordering food was easy and clear and selected the option to pick up at the counter in the store. I recieved the confirmation order email and it said my order would be ready in 15 minutes, 38 minutes later. I was on my way home from work and was looking forward to a relatively fast meal. I was pleased with the fish and the fries were really good however I didn't love the extra waiting for my dinner I was a little disappointed.☹

We have been there a few times recently; not cheap food, but good quality, and a really nice selection of fish for every taste, including haddock, halibut, and usually a 'catch of the week' type special. Nice people, and good eating for seafood lovers. Tiny little dining room or take-out service. They have another outlet, the original one, in nearby St Catharines - on Lakeport St. hence the name.

My husband and I enjoyed our lunch at Lakeport Fish & Chips! Our haddock was cooked to perfection and the batter is neither burned or undercooked which I find in other fish and chips restaurants. Fish was just good fries are super heavy they also deep fry their seafood in the same grease as the fish and fries, explains why I alway have the worst gut rot and am on the toilet all night. I have a food allergy to scallops. They should let people know they never change their oil. If you want fish and chips I recommend Bettys in Chippawa. Never will go back.

We were driving around looking for something local and quick and we ended up in here. So pleasantly surprised by this little shop. Menu was sizable and affordable. The staff were friendly, and the service was fast. The restaurant was very clean and spacious. They seemed to have a steady stream of regular customers judging by the friendly interaction with the counter staff. And the Tartar sauce is delicious!

Last Friday, September 16, we stopped at this outlet and ordered 1 cod dinner and 1 shrimp dinner. A very inexperienced cashier took our order and said it would be 10 to 15 minutes. Some customers came in after us and placed orders and received their food before us. It took over 35 minutes before we got our food. The reason we were given is that 'they do orders in batches', so we guessed that our order did not meet lakeport's batch criteria and so was cooked after other orders were processed. The food was nothing special. We should have gone to Chip and Charlies. No stars for this place. NOTE: In order to post had to give a star.

I ordered online thinking I would save time. Order was to be picked up at 5:55pm. I arrived at 6pm and waited until 6:25pm. While 7 other customers recieved there orders with 3 of them walk ins. It wasn't a big order just 2 two pieces. Also there was a option for extra crispy fries, I though great but nope very soggy from the fish resting on top. All I could taste was the batter no fish; only oily breading. I used to love it here as a kid. Now the quality of both the food and customer service is very poor. I wish I could say this is the first time but it is not.

We went there by searching on Google for some fish and chips. This was an amazing discovery, the food here was amazing! I ordered the Cod burger meal and jalapeno shrimps. The serving size was above my expectations at the price. The taste was amazing again and it was all served fresh!! We met the manager of the place and she was really friendly and professional. Overall it was a great surprising experience at Lakeport Fish & Chips and I would recommend this with my eyes closed if you are looking for quality food and services.

The fish is great here. Our meal was super hot and fresh. The only thing that bothered me was we tipped 20%, which was over eight dollars, and the server didn't bring our drinks. When we asked if he could, he told us to go fetch them ourselves from the front counter, where we had to wait - as they were serving customers placing their orders. I wish I could have snatched back half our tip. Eight bucks is a nice fat tip for someone who only brought out our meal and never bothered to ask afterwards how things were. Nevermiiiiiiind the service, though. Tip prudently and enjoy the delicious fish!! ????
