I visit Niagara Falls biweekly or so, and every time I'm in town I go to John's. My SO and I sometimes just just get the pie. Its fresh and delicious. We stand out a bit, but we feel very comfortable here and the staff is always friendly. Right now, we're eating rhubarb pie. 10/10 would recommend ????

My family and I used to go here quite regularly for the fish and chips. On my last visit we changed things up. My boyfriend ordered eggplant parmesan that was more breadcrumb than eggplant, and they served him the wrong pasta, which admittedly they offered to fix but he said it was ok. I ordered French onion soup and when it was served to me, the colour was off and it tasted sour like it had gone bad... I woke up to vomit right away the next morning. Very disappointed and will not be going back.

Went in with my cousin. Do not eat there the spaghetti sauce tasted like canned sauce. I immediately sent my dinner back. They refused to take it off the bill or replace it with so.ething else. I told them to call the police because I will not eat something so horrible. My cousins vegetables were very cold. I am a regular I come 3-6 times a week, i've never had a bad meal. Everything is amazing, from the breakfast, the burgers, homemade fries and gravy to the amazing fish and chips. The waitresses are amazing and friendly and you get your food fast. This Is always my to go for food. Try it, you won't regret it. Edit; Teresa is the best waitress I've ever had Anywhere! First booth we sat in was very small, bench to close to the table, literally squeezed ourselves in (both average size people), moved to another, more spacious booth, sat down and felt we were sitting on the springs. It needs some updates regarding decor and seating. My husband ordered the veal parm, it was the best he's had since our fav place closed.

This place disappointed us in every aspect. We walked in hoping for a good “home cooked” meal as they advertised. First issue, we asked for a glass of water with lemon and we’re told they only use lemon for fish. So no lemon for us..really?? Who refuses to give you a slice of lemon?? Then my husband ordered a peameal bacon sandwich w cheese at an extra cost. He received a microwaved sandwich with half a slice of processed cheese. The home fries were still hard and raw and no flavour whatsoever. We told the server and she came back saying they would only remove $4.63 off the bill! Were did that figure come from?? Also my food came at least 5 minutes before my husbands...The seats are worn out to the springs. The entire place need a massive cleaning job and major updating on their decor. Carpet not vacuumed, floors are disgusting. The server seems terrified of the owners rules. Overall the worst experience we’ve had by far. It felt like we were in an episode of the worst Kitchen nightmares!! SMH

This place could be a 5 star for sure if they sharpened up on a few things. We ordered LG fish and chips, and a Johnny Burger (bacon cheeseburger) and 2 coffee. Coffee tasted salty so changed to bottled water. The fish was excellent but needed salt as did the fries. The bacon cheeseburger was loaded with bacon and was just ok. Again no seasonings. The ketchup was in a refillable red squeeze bottle and tasted sour or very low grade. They gave miracle whip instead of real mayo. This place looks like a place that doesn't want to change or upgrade with the times (specifically the food...decor is dated but we don't mind that). We wanted to try going for breakfast the next day but breakfast isn't breakfast without good coffee and good Heinz ketchup.

On Saturday we had a dinner and spent time with family. I guess we were too loud laughing. They never came to tell us we were too loud. So after we paid they told us we were banned from the restaurant. The restaurant was not full either. So it came to a shock to us they as we were leaving the owner told us we were banned. I think the owner/manager needs to rethink how he conducts his business.

Been to John's a bunch of times , usually good ,till tonight had 2 turkey dinner and 2 breaded veal. It was terrible,turkey like sawdust,I didn't get one solid piece all shreads. We used to go to John's every Saturday after attending church next door for the fish and chips, last time we went the fish was awful! The food here is amazing especially the fish and chips which is delicious and well priced. My low rating is due to bad service. First time, I will eat there with my family and we encountered a rude waitress who looked bored and practically rolled her eyes when my husband asked some questions about the menu. The food took forever and each time we asked, the waitress told us "it will be here" and made no apologies for the delay. Second time I went for take out, again, I was made to wait by the same waitress I had the last time. Two other people placed their take-out orders after me and each got their food before I did. Again she did not apologize for the delay. This particular waitress seemed to have a problem with us because of our skin color, I say this because everyone else seemed to get their food in good time and I could see the waitress being friendly with everyone else except us! Will not be going back or recommending this place.

My best friend and I went there for breakfast, we had the John's Breakfast....toast and eggs were ok but you can't go wrong with those. Bacon had a terrible aftertaste, home fries taste like they were either freezer burnt or sitting around for a couple of days and reheated. We asked for ham to replace bacon, that had way too much grease on it.

The staff were friendly, my take out order was done quickly and the food was good. While waiting for my order I saw plates of food coming out of the kitchen for patrons dining in and they looked devine. I will have to bring my family to dine in. I saw the sign for burgers when I was passing through town on my way home. It was late and I needed something quick to eat but I wanted something different and to go. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. All staff members who walked by me while I was waiting smiled and said hello. I can't believe such good food could be ready so quickly.

I absolutely love this place! Looks straight out of the 70s and has the best vintage diner food. Can't believe places like this still exist. Huge menu and the friendliest waitresses in town. Not only that but they keep their prices low, even with drinks and dessert it's around $20 pp to eat there. Definitely go to this place if you can!

Are favorite restaurant when visiting the falls. Awesome menu selection. Homemade dishes and large portions. Staff is always very friendly and eager to serve. Enjoying this place for over twenty years. That says it all. Highly recommend by this gang. Definitely worth checking out. See you soon.
