We went into this shop yesterday... for me it was the first time, and it will likely be the last. There were 3 or 4 staff in the shop and very busy talking (at the front of the shop... right by the door at the cash wrap), we were not acknowledge when we came in.... we were clearly looking for something specific and even when I thought we were going to be approached to be assisted... aaahhh, no she was still talking to the others. I think one of them mumbled something about having a good day as we departed the shop... really? This shop offers no customer service... and we were the only customers there at that time.

Bright, clean store. The owners are real pet lovers. This is our first stop for dog baths after our lake and ocean adventures, saving our backs and all our furniture from stinky dogs.

I've tried the u-bath twice, and will be going back to the place I went previously. Suggestion would be to add warm water and not to water down the shampoo completely. I brought my own shampoo the second time and it was better, I also dilute my shampoo but not to the point of being 90% water. At least luke-warm water would be nice for both the dog and my hands. Other than that, staff and products are great like at other locations.

Having purchased food for our kitten at the Bosley's closer to our home, I will now go the extra distance and shop at this Bosley's. It is a bigger store with a larger selection of items other than food. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the C-19 protocols are followed.

I've booked for wash two dogs, however the shop assistant reserved just 30 minutes instead of 1 hour. She didn't apologize for her mistake but also tryed to address me the responsibility for this matter since I showed up in the bath area 7 minutes late. As a result I had to left the shop with my two dogs completely wet. This matter is unacceptable; the usual "sorry about that" would have been appreciate, but this time neider happened. Customers service 0 point. I'm so sorry because the others time I had had always good treatment, maybe this shop assistant wasn't in service.

I wish they had a better selection of NATURAL cat food & treats.... When I say "natural," I mean, more like they would ACTUALLY eat, in nature. For example, now there a LOT of insect-based cat foods on the market (online). Why don't they carry them? They posit their store to be more if a specialty boutique, so they are the perfect type if place to market such a thing. I am sick of all these "natural" brands filling their products with fruits & vegetables and other garbage that cats should never really eat. On the plus side, though, I love that they have a dog wash station. It's so cute to watch dogs get a shampoo! ????

5 stars just because they have the “u-wash”, dog wash stations. In the summer I can use the hose in the backyard but otherwise I’m in here. They give you soap and towels and a blow dryer - what more do you want? And grab a treat for your pouch on the way out - boom! The staff have always been pleasant and helpful too. Way to go Boseleys!

Got there this afternoon with a friend to pickup her two dogs. We saw this "lady" Tatiana mistreating this little dog while she was brushing his ears. The dog was crying and very nervous, she was so aggressive while brushing him that she took at once a big amount of the dog's hair. She was about to hit him when she noticed that me and my friend were there. So she put the dog back at his cage, saying he was a very difficult dog, extremely noise... We believe he/she was a white shih tzu little dog. Poor dog! None of the managers were there when we asked for it. While we were by the cash asking for the managers, we could hear the dog crying again. I would never bring my dog to this place!!! What we saw was ridiculous, inappropriate, and violent! It was so unbelievable, that we froze at first, not understand that it was actually happening. If you care for your pet, do not bring him/her to this place, or at least, make sure this Tatiana lady is not the person in care of your pet.

In short, awesome staff, and awesome products. I was looking into changing food brands recently (my dog is small and was choking on the larger bites), and I was a little unsure of where to start. A lady towards the back by the dog food asked if I needed help, and directed me towards some amazing dog food with tiny pieces. She told me all about the return policy and the specifics of several different brands so I had some decent choice. I ended up taking her first recommendation, and my dog loves it so far! Will definitely be back for more dog food, and perhaps some dog treats. :)

I work at Bosleys New West and I just want to respond to the review below. I have been with Karima for over 2 years and she has been amazing, she will go out of her way to help us if we need it. She treats us quite well with lunches, bonuses and if we really needed something and didn’t have the money she wouldn’t hesitate to purchase it and let us pay back what we can. She has an employee that has been there for 3 years, 2 employees have been with her for over a year and the part time employees have been with her for over 7 months. We have access to paid online training which is updated whenever we have new products. We also get online training from some of our vendors as well for their products. Karima goes out of her way to help her customers in any way she can. She has always told us if she is not here and we don’t know the answer to the customers question never hesitate to call her or give the customer her business card and if she doesn’t know the answer she will get it and get back to them as soon as she finds out the answer. She is very generous in the community as well and a huge supporter to the NWAS. It makes me sad that someone is trying to tarnish her reputation and her business.

Over the past 4 years I've been taking my dogs here for bath as well as shopping. I used to enjoy coming here but not after the last visit. I brought my dog in for a bath, while I was blow drying her after the wash. The store clerk came and told me I should leave because I should not use the blow dryer since I was not suppose to groom the dog there. Why do they have a blow dryer then? He was just rude. This place has lost me as a loyal customer.

Ironically the amount of flu cases in 2018 are almost identical to the amount of Corona virus cases in 20??? 93% of deaths by the coronavirus were people over 85 and all had underlying conditions. Yet this store owner wants to oppress the people that keep her in business. If you're so intent on "protecting" your staff then tell them to stay home until they get vaccinated instead of attacking your customers. Power tripping business owners that don't put their customers first is not a place I'm spending my money...and judging by the other reviews it looks like I'm right about the power tripping assumption!

I love how sweet all the workers are, also respectful and helpful. Oh my gosh, Very gentle with all the pets but especially skittish dogs, always outgoing and bubbly staff. My pup is a rescue, and we had her nails done there, and they did amazing with how much she was squirming and just terrified. Still, we all banded together and managed to get her completed, and for only $10.00, everything is reasonably priced this is are go to place we take out pup all the time now.

Feeling very frustrated to not hear back from a representative from Pet Valu (owner of Bosley’s) regarding my account. The employees at the North Vancouver location has kindly informed me that the issue regarding my account is not possible to be modified on their end and would need to resort to contacting head office to fix the problem. It’s been over a month of trying to reach out. An additional detailed follow-up email has been sent on July 25, 2020, but zero response. I’ve been very patient and kind towards the employees because it’s not their fault. More so I feel the issue is being dismissed by Pet Valu. As a loyal customer (for the past 8+ years) at the North Vancouver location, I expected better service...

Lovely staff, great selection and a easy to get to location. I also love the community spirit that the owner brings and what she does for the New West community. they were incredibly accommodating and supportive during the entire pandemic. I cannot recommend this store enough, regardless of what the anti-mask trolls say about the store.

I have some community bias but this is my favorite Bosley's. The staff are all really nice, the store is always clean and well stocked, there's usually a good sale on something. The shop cats are super sweet and they have a shop parrot! Also usually some animals to adopt from the New West shelter, frequently bunnies if that's what you're looking for.

The owner was very helpful! I had just moved to New Westminster and could not find the food i had been feeding my cat anywhere. She helped me find the brand of the food and although they did not get that brand in she directed me to another equally good food. My cat didn't notice a difference (thankfully since he is a picky eater) and cost was pretty much the same :) Staff are always helpful as well!

Great customer service. I went to purchase a 40lb bag of cat litter with a suitcase. I'm stubborn and despite their pleasant insistence, initially refused their assistance to bring the litter to the cashier, but ended up dropping my suitcase. The staff assisted me in picking up the suitcase and then took the extra step of loading my litter into the suitcase for me. The cherry on the cake was getting to use a $5 voucher from before the holidays, do the purchase had an even better than anticipated value. It's always an ordeal for me to get cat litter because the bag is so large and I'm on transit, but the staff made it absolutely delightful. I strongly recommend going to Bosley's new west for your pet's needs.

This particular shop definitely caters more to dog owners. There's a 4-1 ration of dog food selections to cat food selections. Kinda a shame as there's so much overlap on the dog food options. If you are trying to find a good selection of cat food I suggest a different location or different pet store. The store employee never came by to talk to me for the 10 minutes I was in there, not a huge deal I suppose but as someone who's worked in retail it would be nice for them to just acknowledge you are there.

If there's one thing I admire in a Customer Service Rep. it's a willingness to find out the answer to a question if they don't personally know and the staff in this store definitely is. This location is the only one that I've found to carry the Otter co-op litter, which is Eco friendly, local, and cheaper than the other comparable brands. They are also the closest pet store to me that carries the Kasiks brand by First Mate, and the one of the few foods my picky cats will eat. It's the cheapest alternative to Wellness and it is even better quality.

It's an excellent place for a small pet store! They have a rather large cat and dog section but a rather tiny small pet section (small pet meaning hamster, rats, rabbits, birds, etc) and nothing for reptiles! If you're looking for a larger selection for items for small pets go to their sister store Total Pet up dragon lake hill near staples and A&W. The staff is super friendly, and can be super helpful! They do allow leashed or caged pets in the store (I've brought my hamster in before!). All in all 4.5 stars!

I went here to get cat food and I asked for a case of canned cat food size 5.5 oz and a specific flavor. Their shelves did have it, but the employee didn’t bother to look. Due to that I can’t look around the aisle and shelf to get the correct item, other Bosley’s location usually shows me if they got the correct can size to confirm, but this location didn’t. I ended up getting something for the time being to feed my cats. I find it unprofessional for noob cashier to ask to scan a box of cat food or to scan individual cans. Common sense is non existent. Next time I’ll bring the cat food label to show you.

Revised: 29/09/19 I spoke to Bosley's regarding the clerk at the Lonsdale location, and they assured me that the clerk would be helped to better handle such a situation with me and my pup. I declined the offer of free dog snack, and I went shopping at the Marine Dr location today. The 3 clerks were extremely patient and very helpful. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This was my reliable place to shop for my pup, use the U-Wash, buy supplies, but I will no longer shop here. @ 1month ago I went in to shop, my dog in tow, he was under control, and he started to bark, not loud, not excessively, he was 3.5 months old and excited. The clerk in the store, a young woman started to yell at him, "no! no! no!" over and over again. I was rather taken back and embarrassed in front of the other customers. I paid for my items and fled.

I absolutely love Bosley's. I spend a couple hundred bucks a month here usually. I get stuff for my rats, my cat and my ferret. Both of my cages are completely accessorized with items from Bosley's. They also have a large variety of rat treats and a small selection of treats for my ferret as well. My cat also gets spoiled with Ciao "inaba" cay treats that I can only get locally at Bosley's. I purchase the chicken and tuna filets as well as the wet treats that come in a tube. It is way too adorable watching my cat lick up the treats from the tube. I only have a couple of complaints, the first one being that numerous times I've purchased water bottles that don't work (they either don't release any water or they drip non stop until they're completely empty). The second one being their small animal harnesses don't fit the animals they're advertised for. The "ferret" one was large enough to fit my late rabbit and the rat one fits my ferret perfectly. My rats can get out of it no matter how tight I make it so I am not comfortable taking them out on walks. Other than that I TOTALLY recommend Bosley's. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and there's only been a few things I haven't been able to find there.

We love this store! We have two large breed dogs and we will never wash them at home again. For those of you who haven't been they have a walk up bath for the dogs so you don't hurt your back, water temperature you can control, treats, brushes (good ones that actually work) shampoo, blow dryer and towels. We also buy dog food and accessories here as well. The service and products have always been amazing. They are very helpful and always remember us and our pets. We have also never had a problem returning anything. We returned some dog food b/c our dog turned out to be allergic to fish and they had no problem exchanging it. We have been going for 6 months and I actually regularly recommend this place to friends and fellow pet owners.

I was waiting at the till for the retail lady to assist me after she had assisted someone else. During this time, the groomer walked out, looked at me standing at the register and said "someone else will help you I'm busy right now". She was not friendly nor did she make me feel comfortable enough to bring my animals in to be groomed. I didn't ask for her assistance at all, she just came up and decided to tell me she was busy with animals and I wasn't important enough to be helped. Understanding, I said "no worries take your time". And she said "oh I will." The attitude is the reason I will not be returning, but the younger woman working the till was a delight. Very helpful and very peaceful mannerisms. She was lovely.
