I must say... I was a customer for more than 20 years, our family bought over thousands of dollars worth of sea food over there. Never had any problems regarding freshness of their products until last Christmas. We bought for few hundreds of dollars worth of crab... Christmas dinner time, we opened up the box/bag and we smelled some kind of "ammoniac not fresh " smell. We couldn't believe it so we had a piece of the crab meat and the taste was not good at all! So we decided not to serve our family and our kids the crab meat and put everything back to freeze so we could return it. The stores were closed so we ended up only eating bread and pâtés wich some sides... My dad ended up crying during dinner time because he felt like he couldn't provide a better christmas meal for his family, it was sad ! We tried to go back at the store to get a refund or at least a partial refund : denied !! One manager had a bite of crab meat and said it had nothing wrong with it !!! We argued and they didn't want to do anything ! Received a letter from their lawyers saying that there was nothing wrong ! It's sad to see that United Seafoods Packers is more concern about making money than the health and happiness of the families it serves. Please beware !

Shoppers Beware!! The price ticketed on an item was lower than the price at checkout. Even though all cashiers have the Pricing Policy posted next to them (A law called the Consumer Protection Act in Quebec. Merchants cannot sell their products for prices higher than what they advertised or posted), they refused to honor the policy. Response to your reply below : The item(s) was ticketed with a price only (no description on the item) which is an error made by your store staff. How many more items are ticketed incorrectly and go unnoticed by the customer at checkout? Funny how I couldn’t speak to a manager when I requested in the store.

Edit: Merchant did not respect the consumer protection laws in regards to the Quebec Price Accuracy Policy Fresh meat and lots of Italian products. Best quality for fish and meat by far. Their marinated meats are all amazing, home made hotdogs that taste like real hotdogs and are made of actual meat, amazing. The fruits and vegetables in the last 6 months have become much better quality at a really good price as well. My only disappointment is that I didn't start shopping here years ago.
