Small amount of fish, mostly batter. It was also very greasy and mushy. The fryer oil definitely needed changing as well. Pre-packaged tarter sauce and lemon. Won't be going back.

This is the best fish and chips shop I’ve been to so far. They generously equipped my combo with a huge, delicious peace of halibut fish and layered it with a huge stack of fries. Would recommend trying if you’re around streetsville!

Fish was good, chips needed salt out of the fryer, can't comment on the slaw because they forgot to pack it. The wait was disappointing as I called 35 minutes in advance and still had to wait 15 additional minutes for my order after calling when I arrived and was told it was ready.

Lucky i found this place , owner is from sri lanka and a very cool guy . I tried rougy fish and chips which were really nice . Fries are home made and are very tasty. Batter is perfect and size is a generous portion . I am going back for sure . Price is $$

Fish was excellent: very hot, juicy, good batter. (Fried haddock.) Fries were so-so, not my style, lost crispiness quickly as they cooled. Coleslaw was not good, WAY too much dressing, almost a liquid. Overall would definitely return for the fish, but try other sides.

Meh! Not sure what all the fuss was all about? I ordered the baked salmon which was not very good. The side rice and coleslaw were fine although the slaw was too sweet. When all you do is fish, I expect way better. Wanted something healthy instead deep fried fish and chips (note you walk in the place and it smells like grease). While the man behind the counter (owner perhaps) was very friendly and provided good service, I was disappointed with the end result,

Nice little joint. It’s pretty basic. Staff is nice, fast service. My first time here.... needed a place for a quick bite with dad and it worked out. We got the halibut, the haddock and calamari. Food is not bad. Halibuts as a little dry but still good. Wish they made their own tarter sauce. They have a special sauce which seem like a diversion of a shrink sauce. I’d probably go back to give it another go

Since there's no glassdoor review, this is for any high schoolers who want to work here. DON'T. The pay is under minimum wage and paid under the table, my friend was fired after the owners hired me without any real reason, and they don't offer real training given the short hours (if you want to learn how to work the cash register, they will barely train you and will ultimately kick you off for efficiency's sake). I was fired after not being able to work on Good Friday for religious reasons. I repeat: do not work here!

Delicious! This was our first visit and my lady and I are very satisfied! We ordered the haddock with chips and coleslaw and everything was fantastic. We ordered for take out so we ate the food about 15 minutes later and rest assured, if it's this good now, how is it fresh? Guess I'll be eating in next time. Keep up the great work!

I ordered the fish (haddock) and chips, with a can of root beer. The total was just about $14 (tax incl). The plating of the food left much to be desired, while the ambience and decor of the establishment was quite lackluster. The furniture felt dated and perhaps a tad dirty, and the air smelled of deep fry. The service was very good though, and I was delivered my plate to my table. Regarding the food: the fries were fresh and hot and had no salt or seasoning. This was ok as the focus should be on the fish, but it would benefit the restaurant to add just a bit of salt to the fries. The fish was great! The better wasn't too thick and remained crispy while the flesh was moist and flavorful. The reason I am giving a three ???? rating has to do with the environment and the value. I think the price is a little high for an establishment that appears to cut corners on decor, cleanliness and "frills". However, if they spruced the place up a bit then I'm sure a 5 ???? assessment is well within reach.

Fantastic fish & chips from a friendly family-run business. Bit slow on the orders though, and honestly don't bother calling in an order for pickup as they only begin making it when you arrive so - presumably to ensure no wasted food or fake orders. Other than the slight "pickup issue" it's always delicious and I will certainly be back for more.

This is a nice and small place to het fish and chips. Although the decor can use some TLC but fish and chips were tasty and also the baked Salmon. I have to still try more varieties from them, but I’m definitely coming back. Fries should have a bit of seasoning, though.

3.5 stars... solid little mom & pop shop in Streetsville. Queen's Fish & Chips has stood the test of time... as in it probably hasnt change in quality OR looks since it was started. It is dark, old, time worn with furniture to match, but it feels like a family humbly built it from the ground up and kept it that way. You can find this in a little strip mall in Streetsville. It's not flashy or modern place but it's homey. There are about 7 or so tables that people can sit and enjoy their meal. Menu is listed in front but also there are daily specials hand written on the side wall. During week day lunch time, there were only 2 other people. It was quiet at best. Service here was quick and friendly. She took our order and immediately set to work. You can hear the sizzle of the fish and fries being dunked into the fryers. I saw the fries before hand... they were re-fried. Everything freshly made. I appreciate that. Cod lunch special with fries and coleslaw - For $13, i got a 5 oz (decent size) cod battered up and sat on top of the fries. I would say the frying process was pretty good. It arrived to our table crispy, hot, and not too thick. Good amount of batter without overdoing it. Most of the spots on the cod, it was well cooked... a few spots though it was heavier with oil and the batter was not fully cooked or crispy. The fries were hot but a little tough as if they were overcooked. It wasn't a crispy shell filled with soft potato... more like hot hard potato shell over a dense potato. Coleslaw was decent. 3.5/5 Haddock special with fries and water - This was giant looking compared to the cod but I think the batter made it look like it was on steroids. Similar to the cod, it arrived hot and crispy. The batter wasnt too overwhelming. I would say fries are similar to the cod... decent but could have been a bit better. 3.5/5 This is a nice little homey spot that can make for some good fish and chips. I would say the variety is good as it includes many different types which includes the nice halibut.

I think the owners have changed since last time I was there, however food did taste good. I ordered the halibut and chips with a side of coleslaw. The fish was cooked well and the chips were thick cut. The only thing I wish was different was their tarter sauce. Very generic and didn't really add to the fish and chips. Other than that I'd say still a good place to check out if you're in the area.

I can’t say enough good things about it, LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I know it’s a “fish” restaurant but they make the BEST chicken fingers ever!!! Also their fries are hand cut home made fresh daily & soooo tasty!! If you like fish & chips, have kids that like chicken fingers or are a chicken finger conisour like myself then this little spot is for you! Not to mention friendly service & the quaint location near Streetsville’s main square, next time your shopping in our little village make sure you stop by! I promise you won’t be disappointed!!

Over $17 I paid for what looked like a child's portion of fish and fries , ( that price increased used to be under $15 ..now paying more and getting less.there are many other fish and chips places for more value and less $ than these folks charge. So glad I saw the street sign and stopped in. Fish is battered and fried right when you order for extra freshness. Best batter I've had in awhile. Only reason it isn't 5** for me is that instead of lemon slices you get a packet of lemon juice. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

First one to admit that I don't like fish but the fish (cod) and chips at Queen's was very good. Greasy yes. Needed salt yes. Fishy no. Good portions of crispy lightly battered fish. Decent portion of fresh cut fries that had no fish taste as was fried separately from fish. Cole slaw was ok. Packaged malt vinegar and vinegar ok, but packaged tartar sauce no. If made their own tartar sauce, add some lemon, could be 5 out of 5.

Haven’t been here since I was 17 years old and went in expecting it to be not as good as back then and I’m happy to say this place has not changed one bit, still tastes the same, looks the same and the quality is amazing. Best fish and chips I have yet discovered throughout all the places I have been to in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Burlington, and Orangeville, including their surrounding areas. This is high quality fish with no off aftertaste. They have figured out the perfect batter combination and ratio it seems. Their other seafood is just as good. Also their sides are really good.

Between us we had haddock, cod, and scallops with chips. Everything was excellent. The batter was crispy and light. The food was not oily nor was there any oil on the plate. And, the fries were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The gravy was also excellent.

Delicious fish and chips! Made to order as you wait. Most people take out but one can eat in at tables. Takeout orders are placed in boxes and then wrapped in traditional newsprint. Some side dishes including very good coleslaw.

my husband and i have been going to this restaurant for about a year now for our lunch dates. their pricing is cheaper than many fish and chips restaurants but with that taste amazing. their efficient and quick service is amazing. i work close by so my co worker and i get lunch from there at least once a week. i have gone with many of my family members and they also enjoy their food. fabulous place to go. would recommend to anyone to go.

Went to this take out restuarant to get lunch ,have been here many times , people are nice food is good But noticed that they overcharged me on my order , I understand times are tough that's fine But when I picked up my food ,I had already played for to cans of coke. As I got them from the fridge the store keep ,wanted to charge me again for them. And question me. Place did not provide a receipt.
