Was just wandering for a place to eat and to help out a small business during a pandemic and came across this place. Everything was made fresh. Very impressed with the quality of the haddock and the coleslaw was surprisingly good. Normally not a big fan of coleslaw, but I am for this one. Price is very reasonable for the quality. Will come back again.

This place used to be better. I have noticed a change in quality/taste over time. The last time I got this unfortuntely the Cod and Chips were so oily, not crispy and there was really no taste. the staff are friendly, and its a decent place, but i am not sure if I will be returning here anymore. the last couple of times I have been dissapointed.

Was brought here one time with a friend and absolutely loved it! I come back every now and then and always get the halibut special that comes with fries, gravy, and a drink which is a bit pricy but I’m fine with that. The customer service here is amazing despite it being quite busy during rush hour sometimes. The ladies here are so sweet and kind - it definitely leaves a good impression and makes for an overall pleasant dining experience. The portions are quite large (especially for one person) so be prepared to take some leftovers home or to be completely stuffed.

I've gotten the Haddock and chips quite a few times and it's been consistently great. The staff are friendly, the fish has the right amount of breading, and the portions are generous. Since living in Mississauga I haven't seen the need to get fish and chips elsewhere.

Have visited better fish and chips places but since this was the first time may be can try some more options on the menu to be more impressed. On a Thursday the specials was Basa with chips/slaw + pop and Beef stew. We tried the Basa and must say crispy coating and well cooked fish. But fries were average ( not that had high expectations). Overall good but will have to try other items on the menu like clamp chowder , Crab cake , grilled salmon.

The fish and chips special I had was fantastic. Can't wait to try others. Only missing one star because the eating/dining area was a little unkempt and not attended to and tables were sticky with food particles on them. However, the food was outstanding. Loved the fish and chips. I recently visited the UK and it was better than the fish and chips I had there.

I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT SO MUCH!!!! I really can’t recommend this place enough. I always order the haddock and chips with a soda. Their fries are fresh cut, their fish is always perfectly coated and crispy, and their coleslaw hits you with the perfect amount of acidity to cut through the grease of the fried foods. My mouth is salivating just thinking about it. I’ve been to numerous other fish and chip places, but NOTHING beats Marketplace. The batter and cook on the fish makes ALL the difference. The chefs here are really top notch when it comes to frying fish. Every single order is crispy on the outside, but still soft and moist on the inside. I absolutely hate over cooked foods, but I’ve never experienced that here. I don’t know if their tartar sauce is homemade, but it’s fantastic as well. Portions are HUGE. You’ll leave with a happy tummy for sure. What really sets this restaurant apart is the service. I eat out wayyy too much (8-10 times a week) and this place has the BEST service. The servers are so helpful, always willing to go the extra mile and have the best attitudes. Oriana (sorry if I misspelled) is amazing! She has such a warm hearted and kind soul. It immediately shines through even in the small interactions we’ve shared. The hospitality here just knocks it out of the ball park. This joint is one of my favourite restaurants in Mississauga hands down. I just wish they were open 7 days a week. ;)

Delicious. Well priced. The fries, fish, and oil were fresh. Lovely gravy. I suspect homemade tartar sauce (and if not, it's just as good). Super friendly lovely people working here and they gave a great recommendation for the haddock special.

The fries where greasy and not crunchy, the fish was a little more greaser than the last visit 30 days ago. Different crew cooking, I think the frying oil was not hot enough. I think I will go back to my Burnhamthorpe store just a little farther, but much more consistent.

They actually don’t give you Halibut when you order it. They pull off Haddock as a Halibut (scam) Fish & Chip. Not impressed with this place. Fish Batter has no flavour at all and all you taste on the fries is oil.

I really enjoy their fish and chips- this place is definitely more expensive than average fish and chips places but their family owned and make delicious lemonade. One order is often too big for one person so it has its pros and cons.

The service was good - time between order and prep was about 15 minutes, in person, as well as attention to detail. I got a haddock meal with chips, coleslaw, mushy peas, gravy and onion rings. The best thing was the coleslaw, followed by the gravy. The rest was basic. The chips weren't chunky, as I expected and were not salted; the mushy peas tasted off - I couldn't eat it; the fish was okay, the batter was a touch thin and not as crispy or flavorful - it didn't taste very fresh to me. The onion rings were similar to the fish - bland coating and unseasoned onion rings.

Amazing fish and chips! Such a cute little place with great service. Good prices and LARGE portions. Good bang for your buck. I had the haddock and it was beautifully cooked with flaky batter. The coleslaw is definitely a winner too.

I absolutely love this place. My favorite fish and chips in the city. Perfectly fried, delicious fish, chips and Cole slaw!! The fish is a great portion (8 to 9oz) with the perfect ratio of batter. Crispy, not oily (so you know it was fried at the perfect temp). The service is amazing, staff are so incredibly friendly. This is a must visit....

I’m not always in Sauga, but when I am, it’s usually at the BR next door to this place, and have been eyeing on it for a while. Firstly, service is prompt and friendly, always with a smile. The server is genuinely sweet. I ordered the Halibut and Chips. The fish is battered right in front of you and cooked fresh. The taste and texture of the fish is already great without tartar sauce or add-ons, and adding to it enhances what’s already awesome. The fries are also cooked well. Perfectly crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The coleslaw is a really good helping, and has the right taste to balance the fish and fries. I’m not sure what coffee they brew, but that tastes great too, and I take my coffee black. Perfect strength. There’s enough of everything on the plate so a person with a larger appetite like me is satisfied without feeling stuffed, or tired of the fried taste or texture. Great experience for me, will definitely come back here again. Thank you, Mississauga Marketplace Fish and Chips!

I tried this place based on the reviews and I think it is important to share my experience. The haddock was not cooked well and I can see the batter on it. The fries was vey dry and stale. It tasted like it was from the previous day. I was very disappointed and threw a large portion away. What a waste of money. I will certainly not return. Other than that the young lady who took my order was absolutely wonderful.

A wonderful meal when you're craving fish and chips. I had haddock and chips in a combo. Service was attentive, helpful and friendly. Fish and chips was delicious. Batter was light and airy, I think tempura made with soda water. Portion size was large. You could share with another person. Tartar sauce looks homemade, tasted great but not enough...should've asked for more. Overall a solid meal. A star off for sticky tables though. I hate when I have to ask for a clean up.

This is not my first time here, but this is my first time to order calamari. The food is usually good, but the fried calamari was terrible. That is the least to say. It felt not just frozen but old frozen. Also it was not fried properly because it was frozen and not defrostet properly..

Service - Terrible. We waited about an hour for our food. During that time, we saw MANY take out customers come in, place an order, get it and leave. other restaurant patrons also arrived after us, ordered, got their food, finished and left before we were served entrees. We made it about 30 minutes after ordering before the waitress brought our drinks. We also waited about 45 minutes and when the entrees arrived we had to ask for cutlery because the waitress never brought any. Halfway through the meal the chef came to ask how our food was. I did not finish my plate and asked for it to go. He said he would ask the waitress to bring me a box. 20 minutes later and we were paying the bill, I had to ask again for the box. Food was just ok. Onion Rings were super thick which some people might like, but I felt it was too thick for the onion to be fried properly (like a hot battered ring around a raw onion). Poutine was un-appealing, with no flavour and looked lazily-made. The food was also spaced out in a weird way, and very unprofessionally. The one soup was brought, as the 3 other people sat and watched, when the rest of us could have been brought our calamari appetizer. There was also a huge wait between appetizers. it was like... one soup, finish, wait 15 minutes. Then one appetizer (calamari) comes out, we finish it, wait 15 minutes... and Then the Onion Rings come out - on their own. A normal person would think onion rings would come as an appetizer, or a side to the entrees..... not as their own course. then, 25 minutes later entrees come out; and When our Entree's came out, it was basically one plate at a time - which is really not good. a table should be served all plates at once. If I was desperate for Fish and Chips, and was already in this plaza, I would consider going here - but that would probably be the only circumstance. There's a lot of better choices around, especially after it taking about 2 hours to have 4 people eat dinner of fried fish and costing about $100. This was an even bigger issue for us, because one guest is diabetic and the long wait for food made things difficult for him and taking insulin. The bottom line is: I regret going here. I gave one extra star for the staff being friendly, but they have no place operating a restaurant.

This place has been a hit-and-miss for me. Sometimes the fish is good (although generally lacks flavour) but twice it's been too hard, so the cooking is inconsistent. Their coleslaw and crab cakes however are very tasty. I have unfortunately also have received an incorrect order which resulted in us being overcharged (check your receipt!).

Ordered halibut and coleslaw takeout for 2. Fish was just ok. Portions were Tiny, 1 small pc of fish each and 2 tiny styrofoam cups of coleslaw, and all for the low low price of 31 bucks. Used to come here a lot, they've changed. Never again.

Called ahead for pick up. Had halibut n chips, coleslaw, and gravey for two. The fish was perfectly cooked. Not too much batter, but great flavour if the batter. The chips were great. Wonderful variety of big soft fries and small crispy bits! The flavour if the gravy was a delight. No bland out of a can gravy here!! The coleslaw was the perfect compliment to the meal. Not oily or heavy mayonnaise sauce with a balanced sweetness. Even with the 15 minute drive, the food was great. And it was being boxed as I walked in, so super fresh. Totally agree with the award of one of the top five fish n chip shops in mississauga! Can easily become our new chippy!

Today I bought fish and chips from this place, it was very bad tasting, stale from yesterday, the fries was very bad tasting not fresh or crispy, the haddock fish was badly cooked and had no flavour, it’s was packed in poor quality cardboard boxes that by the time I reached my house the boxes was torn, for the price I payed for a combo for 4 there was a very small box of coleslaw and nothing else, I was very disappointed with my family meal , I guess it’s time for a change!!

Good and quick service even when there was some lineup. The food was made to order and fresh. Fish was flaky and fresh. The salmon fillet was delicious with lots of omega 3. They forgot to season the fries. I guess gravy is the seasoning.
