The staff and service are incredible at Midland Fish and Chips, and it is truly a hidden gem restaurant in Midland. The spicy fries with the dill dip are to die for, and the milkshakes are something from a fairy tale. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a family restaurant with a good vibe and friendly atmosphere.

The fish were very good. Portions were a good size. Staff was very nice. Fries were fresh cut as they should be. The fish was cooked from frozen. The fish was a bit greasy but they are deep fried after all, so, I'm not sure what people expect.

It's a really nice small place, foods really good and it's not really expensive. I'm warning you now though, if there's a line it's very likely you'll be waiting forever

Hands down the best fish and chips I have ever had. The batter is nice and crispy and stays on the fish. The tartar sauce is homemade and has the perfect tang to it. I was working in Midland for 3 weeks and I went there at least 4 times. Will be going back there when I am in town next.

We visited here June 3. We had the classic fish & chips 2 piece with fries and it was very greasy and the fries were very over cooked. The fish itself was deceiving the batter was the main part of the portion. I like having fish with batter not batter with my fish. I do not see myself going back to this place.

Under New Management for the better. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the old owners, and they enjoyed talking to you and I am a regular. But before they sold the place, my burger was paper thin, and utter disappointment, I felt like since they weren't into Midland Fish and Chips anymore and lost heart. New management, the cook named Jason cooked me a real charred broiled hamburger and fresh cut fries, and I was blown away! Worth the money, can't wait to try the fish and chips! Though I will miss Cathy and Chuck, this food is way better. They painted the interior made it warm and inviting. Richard - December 14th, 2017.

Just awful, staff didnt know the menu telling me things that are included in a meal would be extra, everything is super greasy and under cooked. Only given 1 pack of tartar sauce for 2 people orders of a combined 3 pieces of fish. I wish I could get my money back, place used to be good but now its an extreme ripoff at this rate. To sum it up in one word, disgusting.

Just ate here and I have to say the food was good , tasty , waiting staff /service was great and very friendly but I am debating about returning here cause the portions were extremely small . The coleslaw was tasty but the level was equivalent to 2 tablespoons , the fries looked burnt but they were hand cut and real good . The fish portion was small too . For the price of $14.95 pre taxes was not worth it . The restaurant recently were bought by a new owner and newly renovated and when I addressed my opinion cause hell I was still hungry , his reply was it came to costs . Ok Buddy , if that is your concern and your answer I hate to say it - you might not make it . Sorry .

Food was cold, soggy, with a laughable amount of fries. With fries at the base and fish laid on top you could still see the bottom of the takeout container. Placed order earlier in the day so it could be delivered around 6pm - it didn't arrive until almost 7:30pm. Over $70 for a grilled cheese sandwich, cold soggy fish, and a handful of cold fries. Multiple calls to the restaurant that evening and on the days following received no response until today when the owner Jason said he refused to do anything about it. Will not be giving this establishment any more business and will definitely be sharing experience with friends, family and area tourists. The customer service alone is terrible, but the meal was horrible too. Such a shame.

Surprise! Best butter tart we had at the Butter Tart Festival! Maybe weird that this is at a fish and chip place, but maybe not. This battered and deep fried butter tart was the best version of the butter tart we had at the festival. Maybe not for purists with a crispy crust on the outside, and likely not promoted by the Heart and Stroke Foundation, but ooooooooo sooooo goooood! Price was kind of steep at $10 for one, so I might say it's a 4 star, but more substantial with ice cream and whipped cream than the unbattered $5 one down the way. Friendly ladies there with cool hair too!

Ordered 1 piece Haddock and chips with coleslaw. Not the best I've had but good...I'm disappointed however that the Coleslaw was that yucky fake stuff...at $19.15 it should be the real stuff. Lady serving was extremely friendly.

If your looking for that old school home made type of restaurant this is it ❤❤❤ as for the review that mentions "they wouldn't let us share" my husband and i go every Saturday and always share our appetizers i find it hard to believe they said that to anyone lol sorry but the two that run that place are great

Did a web search as we were on our way into Midland, and it returned this business. A simple phone call and our order was placed. We arrived a little early, but our food was ready at the time we were told it would be. The fish was tasty and cooked perfectly, and the banquet burger was superb. Will not hesitate to go back again.

Went here for dinner. 2 of us ordered fish and chips and battered mushrooms. They would not let us share because they would lose money well they lost all the money because they would not even take my order so we left. Does not make sense and it's too bad because the food is good but what about customer service. I wont go back so they lost a lot more money then just 2 orders

Absolutely delicious! Stopped in here on a road trip for a quick bite to eat and we definitely made the right choice. Prices were fair, especially for how filling it was. Well I didn't get to even order as the person on the phone was SO INCREDIBLY RUDE!!! I have never ordered before from them and asked him a question or two (literally a moment or two on the phone, not 10 minutes or anything!) and was confirming with the other people in my party how much to order (hadn't even finished my question to my family) and the person on the phone started speaking to me in a very rude manner saying I should get my order straight before bothering him. He's busy. Well sir, every fish place has different items and you order in different ways. NO PROBLEM, I will take my business elsewhere.
