Probably the best batter around and is worth the drive from Toronto. Nice big portion so you will definitely not be hungry but recommend you save space for their butter tarts. Homemade and perfectly cooked.

Great roadside stop for fresh fish and chips. Seating is outdoor, with lots of room. Ample parking. Fast friendly service. We make a Point of stopping by whenever we're in Midland. Try the fried mushrooms, they are not to be missed!

It was Ok. Slighty disappointed. Pieces of fish were a little small for price. Found batter a bit greasy on fish. Found a dark hair in my coleslaw. However, poutine was the best. Gravy had great flavour.

Fish n Fry is the best fish & chips truck around Georgian Bay. They've got some of the best butter tarts in butter tart nation & their halibut is super fresh with a thin batter. Delicious!

Amazing food amazing service amazingly fast! The new owner has definitely stepped his game up adding tacos to the menu which were some of the best tacos I've had in a long time. As a chef myself I enjoy trying new places and new foods and this was just as good if not better then any food truck around here. Also the owner took the time to ask me how I enjoyed my food and took time to come out and talk to my wife and I made for a great atmosphere thanks guys.

Fantastic! We will definitely be back. I forgot to take pictures but we had a 2pce halibut dinner and 2pce haddock dinner. Portions were ample. Everything delicious. My personal preference next time 2pce haddock, no fries. Possible third pce of fish it was that good. Owner was superb. Glad to hear we made the trek from Coldwater (so far away). Lovely man. Establishment was covid friendly, picnic tables to eat at. Was worth the #trynewplaces

Got takeout halibut and cod and my boyfriend and I got extremely sick around midnight. He puked everything and I nearly vomited in my work's break room while drinking tea (I do shift work). On top of that, the fish didn't have much flavour and the fries weren't great. Won't be returning!

We decided to try this place on good Friday of all days. I know, my bad. I called my order in and was told that it would be an hour. When I arrived an hour later I was told it would be 5 more minutes. 55 minutes later I was asked what I ordered. Then I finally got my order 5 minutes later. Not happy with the wait but understandable considering how many orders they had. BUT.... That unhappy feeling all melted away when we ate this amazing fish and chips. The food was a perfect 5 star. I will try it again, soon, and see if the wait time is any better.

Great little spot for fish n chips. Perfectly thin batter nice portion of fish and thick cut fries cooked perfectly. Other than sitting in the sun (umbrellas don't provide much shade on the picnic tables at 4pm) very glad we stopped on our way home from Awenda provincial park.

Preordered and went to pick it up and had to wait for all the people who hadn’t preordered to get theirs first. Waited another 40 minutes after going to get it when they said it would be ready. Altogether it was just over an hour. It was a lot of money for the size of fish but lots of fries. Get more bang for you buck at Phil’s! We live 5 minutes from you and arrived at the proper time. To say anything else is just to protect your reputation, I guess.

First time trying their food. I had Halibut and chips. Was NOT disappointed! I am fussy with fish and chips and it is hard to get good ones. Nice crisp batter and fluffy fish. Fries were great and even Heinz ketchup. Only thing I would suggest is homemade tarter you can give in little cups. They even asked me how I enjoyed my food and gave me a buttertart as a thank you for my first time. I'll definitely be back! Thank you!

We have heard such good things about this place. We were looking for an afternoon snack so we stopped in for some fries. They looked good but had a very strong fish taste even drowned in vinegar and ketchup. We threw them out ….. we were very disappointed
