Great store for book for my 3 year old son to find books

Went to buy a book for my daughter for Christmas. They didn't have what I wanted but I found an alternate so that was OK. There was a Cole's sticker on the hard cover. When she removed it some of the cover ripped off with it! How stupid to put that type of sticker on it. Then I found the book in Costco a few days later for 4 dollars less. Not impressed.

Was in the store for 20 minutes and all four staff members were standing around gossiping the entire time I was there. I wasn't greeted when I entered or when I left. One of the staff members had a great weekend of drinking and felt the need to share this information with whoever would listen.

I get Manga here all the time. They have a lage selection of good reads. From the hunger games, to anime/manga and the bible.

I've shopped here many times and have had amazing service, but this time. Oh. Boy. I was basically pushed into the store and left helpless when I asked for a certain book. Then I was given extreme attitude when I used a mall gift card, as I left I could hear the staff snickering and complaining about me. Deeply disappointed, however if you don't have to deal with these certain staff members it is a great place to find everything. But I did not enjoy the attitude.

A few days ago, I had the opportunity to opt out of giving this merchant my business. The staff ambushed me halfway through the store to inform me that they have a mandatory mask policy. They were polite, and even offered a free mask, but I declined and walked out. If it were the grocery store, it might have turned out differently, I probably would have complied, and then taken the mask off when I left the building. In this instance, a non-essential merchant enforcing a mandatory mask policy when it is not mandated by law is an overstep that I will not forgive. I had been giving them my business because I preferred to give a local brick-and-mortar bookstore my business instead of ordering books online, but they ruined that goodwill.

Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I had to order the book I wanted, but it came in about 4 days. If you're a reader, this is the place to go.

Literally zero help from any of the staff. They were too busy yakking loudly and obnoxiously with an off shift employee. I even went as far as to get the managers email to alert her to the behaviour of her staff but didn’t even get a reply. Poor management leads to poor staff and even worse service. I’m not from Medicine Hat but highly recommend finding another option when looking for a book.

Great bookstore. Had an issue with an online order and acquiring the books before flying home this week. Fortunately Ally, one of the employees, was really helpful in rectifying the issue quickly, and I got the books there and then, for the same price as they were online during the purchase. I always get a friendly service from the team and when I return, would happily buy more books from this store in the future. Thanks guys ????

Absolutely horrible experience. I was harassed and bullied from the moment I walked in. They followed me around and verbally assaulted me. They asked me to leave at least 8 times. I left feeling very shook up. I don’t recommend this to anybody.
