I find this place so fascinating (not that it takes much for that)!! The staff are super nice all the time and they dont give you that "judging" vibe i get at other places. As for prices, im not too sure as i domt really pay attention to that and mainly go for rat food and chews. I do recommend this place and they have such cool lizards and Oliver ????

It has a good selection of things you won't get at any other pet stores. Huge selection of feeder animals, frozen/live mice, live goldfish and pretty much every worm. Good selection of pets too. Staff are also friendly and helpful. However the animals on display are kept in pretty awful conditions. Just for the feeder goldfish alone, I saw maybe 4 in the tank just floating around dead and another 7 stuck in the filter and rotting. Kind of horrific. They also have reptiles (two very large lizards) in tiny display spaces with barely anything in it. They have this tub outside with the grossest murkiest water that they apparently keep pond fish in. I'd come back because there's literally nowhere else that sells the types of food I need but I wouldn't be happy about it.

I have been to this place about a dozen times over the last 8 months or so. Never purchased anything here. While I go in hopeful because id love to support a local pet store - this place is often dirty and unorganized. The fish selection and presentation is really disheartening, most are unhealthy and overpriced. It seems like they did some renovations recently, but not correctly and it is showing. They need to bring in some more experienced people to help them improve.

I come here for a lot of things, but the misinformation I've received is terrifying. I bought a bearded dragon here, and spent over $250 on accessories to get him started. I was given three different stories for his history as reasoning for him missing his tail. They also claimed all I had to feed him was crickets. Turns out literally everything including an $80 light I bought here isn't sufficient for him, and they of course won't return anything without a receipt which I didn't think I'd need seeing as their employee literally walked me around the store telling me what to buy. Luckily I caught the problem soon enough that my boy is still alive, but after rebuying everything I'm now out hundreds of dollars and I'm not impressed.

We typically come here mainly for crickets (which are hands down the best in London, by a landslide), but also fish and some various rodents over the years. The staff are so knowledgeable and kind. We now live on the west end but make the drive because it's worth it.

These guys pleasantly surprised me. They had run out of crickets on the weekend and offered a product that was 98% successful for feeding but wasn't live. My gecko refused them so I went back the day they had posted as stock coming in. He gave me the crickets at no charge even without the product or receipt being present for return. Talk about service! It save me an extra trip the next day and more importantly my time with my daughter after work. We loved them anyways before this for their knowledge and helpful attitudes before this, but this was above and beyond!

Nice pet store, you can buy all kinds of reptiles, like snakes, lizards, turtles and they also have many different kinds of fish. They have all the accessories you could need to take care them as Well. I purchased 2 chamelleons there, a female, and then almost a year later a male. This store has amazing customer service. They give discounts for bulk purchases (I've bought 10 red cherry shrimp for $20 from them!), they'll price match, and the employees are really friendly and upbeat. The people in the fish department are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Every time I leave this store, I'm happier than when I walked in. The Google Maps listing currently has their address as 1474 Dundas street, but they've actually moved to 1641 Dundas street, as stated on their website.

This is by far the best pet store for reptiles that I have been to. Taking reptiles to a vet can be expensive and hard to find a vet that has experience with them. I had a leopard gecko that was ill and i was nursing back to health and they let me bring him into the store and helped me find the best solution to the problem which ended up not as serious as I had thought but I do not know of any other pet store that will let you bring animals you did not purchase from them in and get their help when they are sick. They are always willing to answer any questions I have for the variety of reptiles that I own and I would recommend them to anyone who wants a pleasant experience at a pet store especially if you have an interest in reptiles and snakes.

I have gotten both of my very healthy reptiles from here. Very well knowledgeable staff, and they know much of the basic care requirements for most/all species. It is very clean, and there are plenty of animals there. My only problem is the cage sizes, but of course, I know that these are temporary, but still, I would ask a little bigger to be safer. I absolutely love this store. With the whole pandemic thing going on, I had tried a curbside pickup at my usual pet store. I was having issues with placing my order and had called the store for help multiple times and got nowhere in over an hour. My cat is on a special diet and could literally die from not eating the right food. I started to panic and googled my other options when I came across southwest pets. They were extremely helpful. The associate on the phone was patient and actually cared about my problem. I was able to pick up my order within 30 minutes of the call. I highly recommend this store! Returned a fish on their guarantee because it died within 24 hours, they gave us a new fish, that has no eyes! My husband has dealt with and sworn by this store for over 20 years, so disappointed with the fish with no eyes. Update, the fish with no eyes died within 12 hours. Apparently there fish guarantee is only good for 1 replacement.

Terrible customer service. I spent $90 on fish and supplies as well as driftwood which destroyed the water quality of my tank and killed half of the fish I already owned as well as the newly purchased fish. I called to hopefully be compensated at least for the fish and was told it was not the driftwood. The fish were all well and fine prior to adding the driftwood which turned the tank water completely brown. It was the only thing that changed. I called the store and basically was told it was my fault and was offered nothing. I won’t be shopping here again.
