The clam chowder was a 10 out of 10. The clams were deep fried in batter and very rubbery. Not how I expected them The fries were frozen, not fresh potatoes. Fast food, but not good food! Except the soup!

I love the haddock fish and chips here. The batter is just right - crispy but not too heavy. Everything else is good as well. The cole slaw, burgers, sandwiches and other seafood! The location is perfect; it's a great stopping point on the drive between Yarmouth and Halifax, just about halfway. And it's in between Summerville Beach and Hunts Point so it's a scenic drive to get there once you turn off the highway. It's nice to eat on the patio, or just a minute down the road you can eat overlooking Hunts Point beach, sitting on the seawall. Don't forget to go back for an ice cream.

Great, fresh seafood and quality old fashioned milkshakes. A great family restaurant. The place is family owned, and you can feel it in the atmosphere. Nothing is fancy or overdone and there are framed newspaper clippings detailing the restaurant's past. There is lots of room to sit but it's much more of a takeout place than a sit-down restaurant. Things are a bit greasy but that's what you expect from a takeout deep fried food place. Highly recommended, especially if you're driving through as a tourist and want to try some local cuisine in a fun, causal, local-feeling spot. In my opinion, this is one of Nova Scotia's hidden gems.

This little gem is a must stop if you're on the south shore. Between Port Mouton and Liverpool. Excellent food. Super busy and for a reason. Lucky to find a seat inside but lots of seating outside as well. Very casual. Kids play spot outside as well for the little ones to keep them busy while the adults chit chat. Will be back again and again.

Unfortunately this place has seriously gone down hill. The Fried Clams, which used to be legendary, have been a total failure lately. (As in for a few years now.) Bits and pieces of tastelessness. The milk shakes, that were once epic are now lame, too sweet and flavorless (but still with plastic straws ????‍♂️ , that hasn’t changed.) I’ve been coming here for decades and it’s at a new low. Still as expensive as ever, it’s sad and a shame what this iconic South Shore eatery has become.

Good but a bit greasy The food at this restaurant is good, albeit that the batter of the fish and chips is on the greasy side of things. The fish inside is very good but we (family of four with all fish and chips) would have liked less greasy batter. They do not skimp out on portions and a bonus is the wide selection of condiments you can choose from and fill yourself fitting your own taste. It is clearly a very popular spot as it was very busy and people were coming and going inside the restaurant as well outside at the take out window.

My boyfriend and I were excited to eat here as we passed by on a long weekend drive along the south shore. Although there were signs in the windows stating to phone in your order, the couple in front of us had their order taken by a woman through a take out window. We waited as the couple ordered their food and asked how long their order might take. The woman very rudely replied “as long as it takes to cook”. The couple went off to their vehicle to wait. When it was our turn she was very rude and told us to call in our order so she could get other food out. Even though we had already been standing right there waiting to order. We got in our car and left, never to return. Customer service is EVERYTHING. As someone who works in the food service industry I understand how stressful it can be but we’re expected to grin and bare it and be accommodating, not turn people away. No customers = no income.

Great food and huge portions. Pretty strange that you have to phone in your order when you're standing right there (and it's often busy), and not great toilet situations (porta potty in back). Again though, if you're busy there too pick up food, it's great.

World's Best Clams? Maybe not but they were still good. Very basic venue. No "real" cutlery. Paper plates and plastic forks. Ok spot if you're at the nearby beach and don't want to travel any distance to get something quick to eat.

I have been going here my entire life. They used to use Digby clams but now the clams are smaller, white, and don't have much taste Obvious not from Digby. The staff are still fabulous after all these years and you still get a huge portion. Overall, still worth going to.

Ok so this place claims to have the best clams. Well they dont come close to having the best clams. But i will tell you what they do have the best of. And you likely would have a hard time believing it. Its their chowder. Yes thats right you read it right. Chowder can be a choose item to love and even be the best at. Heck their chowder is just as good as my grandmothers chowder back in the day when she made it. Ice cream and milkshake was pretty darn good too. No pictures as the place was packed with what appeared to be regulars. It was dinner time. But i dare everyone who visits this place to try the chowder. And if you know a better place. Please let me know where i can find it.

Has always been a family tradition to eat there since a child. My grand parents lived a cross the road. So it has been for many years. Well today was the first time in years I had been so disappointed. Everything has been the same except the portion size. I paid almost 20 dollars for fries and claims. And I might of gotten a dozen claims. It is getting too pricey for me. I guess the family tradition will stop. But always was good food and great staff...

Overcrowded, no sense of order. The clams, advertised as the worlds best, are not even the best in Queens County. I will say though, that their dairy treat products are awesome. The cones are a good size, with lots of flavors, and, they make the best bana split this side of anywhere.

Not fine dining by any means, it's a seafood greasy spoon, but great food! We tried the fries scallops and the fried clams with salads, both were really good, and they offered a few different choices for dips. We also got a black & white milkshake to split, and it was so good we got another to go! If you want to enjoy their patio, go before the sunsets, both for a great view and because the bugs are thick in that area!

We were advised to come each year from someone at the resort we were staying at down the road. It was recommended as one of the best places in the area to get Seafood. The kids each got a cheeseburger, one with bacon and one without. The wife ordered a seafood platter and I had the two piece fish and chips. It was delicious
