The food is good in this restaurant, we like to go for brunch on the weekends.

We had a party of 9, and everyone raved about the delicious food we enjoyed. Ambiance was great,and service was too making for a fabulous lunch gathering.

Lane's has been around for a long time and it is clear why - they have clean, fresh and tidy rooms and a long list of amenities that cater well to the weary traveller or to someone who is working away from home. The restaurant offers a fairly short selection of the more basic comfort foods during this time of Covid, which is understandable, but the quality is outstanding - especially the seafood chowder. They serve only local brewery beers and ales, of which the selection is admirable and will cater to even those with a more discerning palate. I didn't get to try their homemade brown bread, which I regret but, I hear it's wonderful. The overall value here is good - you will enjoy a stay here. The photo is the room I had - very cozy!

Stayed in Liverpool for work. We rent a house across the river. Lanes Inn is one of the reasons we stay here. This year not so good. The service is slow and unattentive. The food was not the same quality this year.

New Years at Lane's outstanding. Great meal in the restaurant and a bright clean room with all the amenities. Couldn't start 2022 a better way.

I visited the restaurant recently for supper with a couple of family members. The dining room is bright and pleasant, especially later in the afternoon. We shared a plate of nachos which were great, one of the sauces in particular which I forgot to ask the server about was unexpected and amazing. For my main I had a bowl of haddock chowder, which was really tasty and comforting and full of generous chunks of fish. It came with an apparently housemade tea biscuit which I could have eaten 10 more of, it was so good. My companions also enjoyed their meals, haddock with veggies for one and a salad for the other. Service was great. I will look forward to visiting the restaurant next time I'm in the area.

Great view, great atmosphere and friendly staff. However; the food was disappointing. The starter buns are extremely dense. The lobster roll was more roll then lobster. The lobster roll was over powered with mayonnaise. The homemade tarter sauce wasn’t something i would want again. The fish lacked flavour. For a restaurant that is by the ocean we were disappointed. The views are stunning and the layout of the restaurant is beautiful. The selection of wine is perfect and showcases maritime brands.
