What i liked was to just wander around taking a gander to check out where things are and the various brands. The staff are polite and like to exchange all kinds of pet stories and answer questions about their variety of foods to suit pets requirements of being healthy. I loved going there for all my cats needs, now it's for healthy eating habits.

Great pet store. Two locations (Petawawa and Pembroke) Knowledgeable staff, always friendly. They sell birds, fish, lizards, rabbits, gerbils etc... Food for pretty much anything you can think of, and all kinds of pet accessories. I buy all my fish from here and I go in to ask the advice of the staff with regards to which fish would not be a good fit for what we already have

Rick is a scammer and a pos. If you dont believe me then compare his prices of the aqua equipment to Amazon (specifically the aqua clear 110). He also doesn't partake in black Friday because its an "American Holiday". If you're looking to buy equipment please exhaust all other options. If you're looking for livestock then look on kijiji. Do not support this unethical weasel. His staff are good people but treated sub human. Hope you choke Rick

Go there once a week, love it there, staff is awesome and we've gotten to know a few of them well. They are always helpful and will order in things for us to either this specific location or their other locations if they don't have it in stock or are running low and will bring items from other stores to this location for us as well. Good prices. I enjoy it there

We have had a great experience with this store. Staff are very knowledgeable on all pets which has been super helpful getting our fish tank started. We were steered in the wrong direction when it came to the filters for our tank. Our tank uses 2 different filters and the worker informed us we only needed to use the one. Not the case, we should have known better. Other then that, excellent experience!!

Rick's pet store petawawa and pembroke has been really good to us so I thought I would pay it forward with a good review. We have 2x king snakes that we must order feeder mice for. Rick's consistently have our order in on time. We live in petawawa however the feeders are delivered to pembroke. Rick's will deliver them to petawawa shop themselves and call us when they are in. Further more we have had to on one or two occasions had to delay our pick up of these mice and Rick's will hold them for us. Obviously this is not ideal for ricks and is probably a pain for them however we try to minimize this as much as possible. Rick's has been nothing but good to us and would reccomend due to great customer service and always polite employees.
