I have two dogs and usually purchase all of their food , toys etc there. I had encounter few frustration because the poor training in the staff. They had forgot to apply my discounts and because thy failed to add my member card # I lost my discount with no help from the store, they added and charged for extra items I didn’t purchased and when I bought a $40 discounted snow suit for my dog they also failed to let me know was final sale , suit didn’t fit my dog and I never got a exchange, credit or refund, manager didn’t even took the time to come talk to me, then the employee sent me my way telling me to sale it in kootaney buy and sale. Nelson store you lost a loyal customer who spends a lot of money in your store because your poor costumer service

This pet store is a joke, the owner is rude and his female manager is worse, rude with customers and more so with staff. I've attempted to rescue fish from there several times and get the runaround every time, if something isn't for sale it shouldn't be on display. A third of their fish are never for sale, nice business model There's always dead fish floating around so I'm sure the ones i'm trying to save suffer the same. Once i attempted to buy an animal and the owner said " I don't have time for this" nice customer service, I've spent thousands of dollars in there over the years but they won't get another cent from me. thank god for Petsmart. The pet valu on Lakeshore is fine.

The best part about this pet store is the DOG WASH! I tried this recently for our 2 Boston Terriers. For only $10.00 per dog, you have a comfortable washing station, dog shampoo/conditioner and towels and there's no clean up in your own bathroom! They have a wash card too where you get 1 wash free after 5 or 6, I can't remember. They store is clean, stocked with high quality items and food. Awesome customer service.

I stood at the till for about three minutes, with no acknowledgement from the two associates who I made eye contact with (there were 4 associates total behind the cash desk area). I had to go out of my way to ask to purchase my item... The associates are there to make their hourly wage, not to serve or help customers. Put the customer first and maybe I will consider coming back. Global pet foods across the street actually cares about the people spending money there.

Not the largest pet store, but still has a surprising selection of pet supplies for your fur (or water, or scales?) baby! Staff are knowledgable and cheerful and clearly have a heart for animals. Had a specific kind in mind but they asked me questions about my cat and suggested a different kind and explained why they thought it would be better. This store has had the worst customer service. Every experience in this store has always been a negative one. I was buying blue buffalo for months until someone asked me if I had a card that registered to get a free bag after so many purchases. So all the bags didn't count. I had bought a bag of food because the regular one I used wasn't in stock and it didn't agree well with my pups. When I asked if I could exchange "this is like a resturant you can just order something and return it" was my answer but in the next sentence she said if it was performin brand I could have. Let's just say it's not what you say it is how you say it. It is a shame that the customer service is like this and it is the only option in petawawa. I will be going to pembroke from now on.

The store is great and has products I can't get in bigger city, won't be patronizing any time soon because Moose Jaw nailed me the last two times with speeding tickets in one of their speed traps. I have spent tens of thousands at Pet Valu, the Moose Jaw Spa, Grant Hall, Casino and Knight Ford over the past years, don't feel I need to make donations to City Hall and the Police Dept. for the privilege of supporting Moose Jaw. Super pet supply store. Has pretty much everything for most domestic pets and prices are overall decent. One great feature is an open area pet bath station where for a fee you can bath and dry your pet enough room for a small pony or massive dog. Personalized dog tags, treats, food, bedding, litter, as well as a huge selection of specialized holistic meds, urine enzymes for removing pet stains cats and dogs, leashes collars and harnesses toys you name it. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly without being condensing or pushy. Two entrences the main in from the mall and a backdoor for pets etc.

Good selection, staff not so attentive. The last two visits I walked in and the 3 sales associates were chatting and did not acknowledge me until it came time to cash me out. My most recent visit they had offered woman ahead of me to sign up for their loyalty program but did not offer it to me upon my check out. There are a few other local pet supply stores that I will now frequent as opposed to feeling undervalued at this establishment.

Was pretty disappointed with the service I got today when I was in the store. After approaching the desk the man behind the counter who had just rudely finished saying to a lady at the counter that "if it isn't on the shelf they don't got it" he turned to me to say what do you need..without so much as a hello welcome nothing. I asked if he sold live reptile to food to which he just laughed in my face and pointed at the restaurant and said he can't have those because if the restaurant got insects he would be to blame lmao That is the saddest excuse I've ever heard! Lol I've gone to many pet stores in many location where they were at the same building as restaurants and grocery stores etc. it's called safe handling procedures if your to lazy or unequipped the handle a box of crickets and the best you can do is goldfish and Frisbee's maybe pet store shouldn't be the name if you offer the same items as a Walmart at more expensive prices glad global pet foods has everything you need in a one stop shop and friendly staff who don't deem bitter or rude to customers with questions.

Not dog friendly, when we got to the store at 11 doors were locked doors say 10 had to wait for a staff to open the door. too many free roaming cats, they hissed and swiped at my dog. The cat are all over the place , do not recommend buying treats, who know what they are doing to the bulk treat. When paying gave her a 100 rang it as a 50 and gave me attitude when I corrected her. Sincerely one less customer

Wont be going in there anytime soon. The girl at the front is very aggressive when asking people to use hand sanitizer. To the point where I was yelled at for not seeing the dispenser as I walked in. I fully understand the need for this right now but the staff definitely do not make you feel comfortable shopping during this time. And on a side note the hand sanitizer was super diluted with water I doubt the effectiveness of using your stores supply.

Took my dog in for a nail trim. Was told that the person who does that would be in on Wednesday. When got there for the appointment the cashier took the dog dehind the counter and held him down while they attempted to cut his nails and he did not like it. Very helpful staff. I normally shop at the competitor store but Midland doesn't have a store. I had to find a Dog food that was similar to what usually feed my dogs and asked for help from the Pet Valu staff and mind you this was over the phone while my husband was driving to the store. I was impressed at how helpful and how much time and patience it took to explain the differences between the foods. Especially no wheat no grains no byproducts, so it wasn't just your every day dog food. I will shop there every time I'm in the area
