You will be able to see the feddbacks of people who consume the services of Steveston Marine & Hardware (Fish Shop) around Langley territory (Canada).
Currently the business has a rating of 3.3 stars out of 5 and the rating has been calculated on 63 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings that it reaches is discreet, and it's founded on a very high number of opinions, so we can think that the rating is quite accurate. If people have bothered to value when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to set reviews when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Fish Shop corresponds to the category of Marine supply store.
Totally disappointed. I went on a Wednesday morning at 9:30am - I was the only customer in the place and there was 4 employees working. Two lady employees gossiping at the cash register and two male employees walking around stocking the shelves. I walked around the whole store three times and not one of the four even acknowledged that I was in the store..even after I managed to make eye contact with two of them. So I left, drove two km over to the Army Navy Surplus and spent my $142 there. Needless to say...I won't be back.
Friendly service on the phone and went looking to make sure part was actually there before I drove out. Definitely will be going back! Thank you Richard!
DON "the fish manager" terrible customer service and no common sense. Purchased an item from them which was opened box not in the proper manufacturer seal. After realizing it wasn't the right item for me, I decided to return it to them within their 14 day return policy. In their defenses my package was not in the best condition which isn't for resell value. My item was not used still brand new, box was just mangled from my poor misplacement. My frustration is they did not give me the proper return policy that I deserved. Pure laziness and unprofessional. Will never earn another penny from me. I will continue to support local business but not incompetent people. This business will not last long with the way they handle their business and customers.
Fun place to browse and purchase. Loads of things I want!!
Steveston Marine is a good store to get all of your marine need met, just drop by Monday through Saturday!
Service sucks, asked some simple questions, but little did he know I've been around the block too, asking about wiring, best applications. I've been halfway around the world on my 50' sailboat, wired all electronics myself, and they worked without fail, been through tropical storms in the middle of ocean, transited the Panama Canal. I know my boat needs improvement, but that guy really made me put the stuff I had back on shelves and I walked out. I've had awesome service with West Marine, at both stores., to bad I have to drive an hr to get to them. Steveston Marine in Langley sucks, guess I'll deal with West Marine. Get free non rushed advice.
Good price
Very friendly and very knowledgeable staff. Especially Doug very kind and helpful. He knows and direct you into right products and tools and he get job done very fast. Their workmanship is top quality and done very quickly. . I would 100% recommend Steveston Marine to everyone.
Very handy to have them close by on Langley ByPass if I ever need something boat related. Not the most high-energy folks, but that's OK. I f I was trapped inside and couldn't go boating I'd be melancholy too!
Bought a life raft at the boat Show. Scheduled to be 7 weeks. Turned out to be 16 weeks. And we had to keep calling to figure out what's going on. No one reached out.
I needed some stainless hardware i just couldn't find anywhere else, luckily Steveston Marine had the items in stock.. pricey, but in stock.
this is the best place to get advice on how to catch a fish properly. Good selection and prices. Special thanks to Joe
Horrible customer services. I don't think their employees care anything. Never go back again.
I use to buy a few items there but over the last year or so some of the staff changed and they are not helpful. I tried to find these great Velcro straps they always had and I’ve bought many. Now they are always out of stock, the staff had no idea what I was talking about and did not offer to figure out how to help. I think the owner is retired and the service sucks now.
Will most definitely be returning. Ron is the best!
Very poor customer service. They don't acknowledge customers are in the store. If you ask about a product they don't even look at you they just say that they don't have it when I had one in my hand. Definetly not going back and not recommend to anyone.
Helpful and very friendly staff! Will definitely be back!
Huge store with a great selection of boat parts and fishing gear. Lots of stainless steel fasteners, paint, plumbing parts, BBQs, fishing rods, reels, prawn and crab trap gear, and life jackets. There is also a full selection of low voltage LED replacement light bulbs and fixtures.
Always great service if they don't have it they ordered it in
Extremely poor customer service. I have purchased a fair amount of stuff over the last few years from them but will be taking my business elsewhere now. Staff are not helpful at all and some are outright rude and their store is a mess. Products not in stock (which is understandable) but when you quote a lead time and can't deliver, the least you should be doing is picking up the phone and notifying the customer. I like to support local stores where I can but it's places like this that are pushing people to buy online. Much easier to deal with Amazon.
tried to call the store in langley twice to see if they have a part in stock.contact #is a fax or something.so i called the 1-800# twice and no answer???really??? thank god for amazon.
Great service. Very knowledgeable staff
Great customer service. Great experience and service especially by Nav. She was polite and had knowledge about stuff I was going to buy. I would recommend this shop for any of your fishing needs. Please ask Nav since they have lots of great deals all the time.
Ordered some items by phone and had them put away . No problems they were there for me ????
The staff is friendly and helpful. Thanks to Gordon and Don for helping us enjoy our first boat.
Not helpful at all and never have in store what it has online. Don't waist your time.
It's a gong show in there. Terribly run. Only one guy knows anything everyone else is more useless than a drive thru restaurant trainee with hearing loss. It'll be here tomorrow turns into who are you? Oh ummm well ahhh. "A boat eh..we have uh... stuff... uh tell me exactly what it is.. go home look up the part number.. then tell me then when I can't find it ..you locate it in my store for me... then bring it to the table for me. Then I can't find the price. I send you away because I'm too stupid to figure it out." Total morons
I agree with most negative reviewers here, there is only one or two guys who really know anything. The east Indian women in cashier did not know anything there. In a nut shell the section is good but front cashier staff are usless and the business hours are a joke.
Good Store, good selection of fishing gear, and helpful fishing staff. Gary is a good guy to ask any fishing questions.
Call them and ask them if I had what they needed came out from Abbotsford to get there to find out they don't have what they told me they did drove back home empty-handed
There's a new kid working the Langley store (Joe), GREAT GUY !!! Friendly, knowledgeable, fits right in with the rest of the great staff !! Highly Recommend, Definitely my new "Go-To" !! ????????
Many purchases and many good experiences. The expert behind the desk went out of his way to find some obscure through hulls and sea cocks for me. Phone or go there - they will be helpful.
Knowledgable Staff, good prices and if they don't have something they can get it quickly. For big projects / upgrades plan to buy during the Boat Show - best discounts of the year.
I've tried to order downriggers and seats for my boat with both times having my order cancelled, even when I am willing to wait for them to become available. Nothing on there website stated these were unavailable at the time of order. With that said they will not honor there pricing when they do become available. Very disappointed with how they do business and will make an effort to go else where due to there lack of competency.
Found everything I needed friendly staff and they have lots of parts and equipment in stock and on the shelf
Great services provide by Nav and great sense of customer services
Way to go Gordon!! Manager of Langley store. I had a problem with choosing the right electronics the other day and he worked with me to make the right purchase of a Lowrance Hook7. I’ve been purchasing my rigging and fishing gear at his store for years now and I’ve got to say it has one of the best selection of stainless steel parts I’ve ever found. From the smallest screw to everything you will need to rig your boat in my case for fishing. Again thanks Gordon for all the right help and will continue to shop for all my boat and fishing supplies at Steveston Marine
They are the only show in town and we need them, be patient. I don't know where else you can find this type of stainless hardware or fibreglass supply without driving a lot around town.
Wouldn't let me in to buy something at 5:25 "Closed" after I hauled ass down here from work to make it in time, and the sign says open until 5:30... Will be shopping at a professional and honest marine store like Maple Marine on the Langley Bypass.
I've been to the Steveston Marine in Richmond and False Creek and had good experiences, but I don't recommend the one in Langley at all. They always run out of stock and it takes forever to get product in. Running out of dock lines in the middle of winter, your kidding right? Electrical components, you name it, they're out. I asked them for a bulb once and they offered me an LED wonder bulb for $ 20.00, didn't mention about the regular bulbs they had hanging in the store. They don't care about my boat at all, they just want to sell expensive junk. Maybe good for them but not for me. Recommend stay away.
We are new to boating and fishing. We were introduced to Steveston Marine by our friends. Wow what a great store. We brought all the fishing gear needed for salmon and halibut fishing. We brought 2 Scotty 2106B downriggers and a Scotty 2500 line puller. They had the lowest prices in the Lower Mainland for sure. In addition we were able to get all the safety equipment required for our vessel and Mustang PFDs for the entire family. Lastly, as new boaters they signed us up for the Steveston Marine New Boater Program that gave us 15 percent for 90 days on all non-sale items. We saved a lot of money! Thank you to Don for the fishing advice and thank you to Gordon for his valuable advice on electronics. We will be back for prawn traps.????????????
Super friendly staff
bought a fishing rod anyway, nobody knew anything about fishing when I came in and couldnt answer any questions.
Never go back. Simple question, 5 people there they told me to come back when some guy named Gordon was working. Everything I asked about it was shrugged shoulders and Gordons not here. Hey Gordon. I suggest these people study up rather standing around talking. I'm a busy guy I'll find somewhere where they they can help me and take my money.
