As of day the firm gets a score of 4.4 stars out of 5 and this rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is quite good, and it is based on a very large number of scores, so we can think that the score is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to give opinions when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Fish Shop is classified in the category of Canadian restaurant.
Wonderful place to eat near Lake Louise. Always very quiet and the atmosphere and decor is excellent! The food is always delicious, the french onion soup is a personal favourite, but no complaints at all about food. The staff are friendly and will always make sure you have everything you need! One of our favourite restaurants in the area.
Cute restaurant if you like the feel of an old railway station. However the food was fair at best, edible but that’s it. Any restaurant that serve extremely old and stale buns with their burger, knowingly, should not be a place to try.
Excellent museum describing the railroad history of the west, and the challenges of completing the railroad in such a geographically challenging terrain.
Really beautiful place. They were really nice, we only had a reservation for two but four other friends came and they accommodated all of us. We had chicken in a wine sauce and it was delicious!
I have been to many nice restaurants, but this one takes the cake for the most interesting and nice one. The staff were all lovely, the food was very tasty, although I feel that the selection is limited. Despite that, this place has been decorated fantastically and it really gives it a unique aura. The trains passing by made it all the better, making it feel as if you were in an actual antique train station! The staff were kind enough to celebrate a wedding anniversary and take pictures for us. 10/10
Made a reservation the day before, I was told that reservations are not required, walk-ins are.welcome. Went in today, an old guy curly hair with slouched back says that reservation is required. The restaurant was half-full, and mentioned that they are fully booked w(30 minutes before closure). I said that we don't mind sitting at the bar, but said that it's for drinks only. I've never seen a restaurant who does not serve food at the bar. He was clearly trying to get rid of us, and made a rude comment at the end. He said: you should try and find a Chinese restaurant for dinner. So unprofessional! The other 1-star reviews were right. This guy is clearly racist. We ended up eating a restaurant near our hotel
Food was absolutely amazing!!! Pleasantly surprised at the offerings and the quality of the food on the menu. Duck tacos, pork schnitzel, bison lasagna, white chocolate cheesecake, strawberry rhubarb pie and their version of the Moscow mule - everything was like I said earlier, just amazing. Service is great. Friendly and professional service. Front end staff, especially the lady was ok. She was quite rude to us at first since we had just come back from biking the tramline trail and were still in out biking gear. She told us reservations only even though the restaurant was quite empty and wasn't forthcoming in serving us. We were visiting from Calgary, however, staying at the Fairmont in Banff. There was a gentleman there that stepped in and made the experience positive.
Very good food and service. Priced high buts it's Lake Louise...
Just a little ways from the lake sits this beautiful railway station that has a really great menu. I suggest the French onion soup! It's quiet because it's out of the way.
A historic building with kind service but underwhelming food that also happens to be overpriced. Caesar salad was watery, French onion soup was good, summer tagliatelle really needed more salt. The steak was unevenly cooked - some parts were rare, other parts medium. The sweet potato fries were excellent. The desserts were NOT on point. The peach cobbler was not restaurant worthy at all. I liked the chocolate s’mores cake but it wasn’t a hit with others in our group. So, I wouldn’t tell you to stay away from this place, but I would say that it is not a place for foodies. Food aside, I think the cost was a little excessive. We ordered 2 apps, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, 1 side, 3 non alcoholic beverages. With tip ~ $200.
Been to lake Louise many times and completely missed this place. It is an absolute gem, with an amazing environment, friendly staff, and even better food (very fresh and tasteful). We tried the bison burger and Hunter chicken after reading reviews and we were not disappointed! Also it was made even more special with the smell of the open fire and the crackling of the wood, and then to top it off, seeing the train roll on by.
Great service and lovely atmosphere. Went back a second time for the wiener schnitzel, best ever. Don't think about it, just go.
Great food, best view! Highly recommended
Awesome food and really pleasant atmosphere! Very quiet for a nice Dinner.
Had a great experience! The employees went above and beyond! The food was delicious, well priced, and I enjoyed the drink menu. I will visit again!
Nice outdoor space, pleasant staff, family friendly in a historic location. Food tasted good. The appetisers and desserts offered something a little different, but a little disappointingly the mains stuck to the tried and true mountain staples.
The food and service were superb! Veal ribs and schnizel were delicious. Soups were great too. Very authentic atmosphere here and surrounding outside is beautiful with 2 old trains outside.
Wonderful refurbished station building with immense leaded windows. Wide choice of interesting dishes alongside standard staples. Service is friendly, helpful and efficient. Not cheap but they offer good value with generous portions and freshly made fayre. And the Canadian Pacific trains still pass within a few feet of the bar so train romantics will love it.
This place has a great patio and railway and mountain view, extraordinary piece of history + dining experience and did i mention their duck tacos? Well its a must try! After big meal, go for a little walk just right outside the restaurant. Superb! Great service too
Really good food, service was excellent. It was a charming place to eat in an old railroad station.
Very nice place, but the meal was sub par for the price!!! A $45 steak should be mouth wateringly tender. The steak was kind tough/chewy, and lacking great flavour. Definitely would not recommend this place. Hugely disappointing for us!!
Delicious food and drinks in a rustic atmosphere.
While the staff was friendly and attentive, the food was definitely below par. I had a bison burger which was below average. The fries were garbage. French onion soup was good. This place is also expensive, especially considering the lower quality.
Food is overpriced for the quality and selection. The restaurants attached to some of the larger nearby hotels are, at a minimum, equivalent, with some of them being much better. If you're in the area for a longer period of time, definitely worth visiting to break up the monotony of the other limited food options, but if you're here for just a short period of time, try to get a reservation at one of the large nearby hotels
Amazing food and service. Bison Lasagna was top notch and French Onion soup was best I have ever had. They even allowed us to move up our reservation an hour on no notice.
Beautiful place with very nice food
Great staff and service. We had the onion soup, schnitzel and bison burger and everything was incredible. The wine selection was great and prices were very fair. Highly recommended!
Nice little oasis in the bustle of Lake Louise. Not fast food, first time trying Bison burgers. Not a huge menu, beer and wine though. Interesting railway antique setting.
Food tasted great and service on point! However for the price I expected bigger portions. Pic is their bison rib. Not where I'll go to if famished after a day of hiking.
Excellent inexpensive menu no waiting spacious tables and grand fireplace with great service. Covid rules in place. Bike parking covered patio.
Good food and friendly service! The location is worth a visit, like a museum.
Good food, fun place for friends gathering.
I think this is one of the best restaurants in Lake Louise. The ambience and dining area, the service all the way through to leaving, and the food were excellent. We are in Lake Louise for 3 more nights, and we'll probably have dinner here the remainder of our stay.
I love this restaurant! The atmosphere of an old renovated CPR station with decor that references the history of the area is such a treat. The food and service is always high quality, though the wait can be a bit long when it's busy. It is however, the best ending to a long hike or ski trip in the area!
Awesome! Highly recommend this place. Food delicious, had the chicken supreme and the staff super friendly. Beautiful venue with lots of charm. A real old train station with trains still zooming past.
We just had our dinner here and loved all the experiences! The chicken sandwich was perfect and we kept wondering where they get their bread. Mac & cheese is no ordinary mac & cheese and my kid finished it all. We were able to see the train passing by and the kids got very excited. Highly recommend.
BEST PLACE TO EAT IN TOWN! Located in Old train station. Classic wood decor. You can’t go wrong with any item off the menu. Very friendly and knowledgeable servers and bartenders. Very impressive. Recommend saving room for a starter, main and dessert. You can thank me later.
Great patio beside the train tracks. Duck poutine was amazing. Service was great!
Fantastic food and service in an off the track location. Highly recommend.
Historic train station with a great atmosphere and food. Had lunch here and the service was great. Apparently gets busy at supper so reservations are probably a good idea. Located right next to a trail head. Park, hike the tramline trail then come back to eat!
Life-changing
Even food is not top class like the Fairview at Fairmont hotel. This is definitely one great experience restaurant. When the train comes by beside the window. There is no other place like this. I am shock this has been here since 1994 and I have never noticed last 20 years I live by.
Very nice restaurant. The food also is very good we tried the bison Hamburger and it was great.
Fantastic experience dining at the Lake Louise Railway Station. The food and service were great, and the staff too extra care to accommodate guests given the Covid19 restrictions. Be sure to reserve your table before going and stop by the adjacent river for some awesome pictures.
Amazing food. Great atmosphere. The stew was brilliant.
Cozy environment. Delicious food. Excellent service. It was lovely dining here!
Pretty bad food experience here, the wait staff were nice but the food was not great. We got the duck tacos to share and it was lukewarm and not seasoned very well; the really hype bison burger was extremely dry and the buns were also not great; the butternut squash soup was more of a congee.... instead of soup.... Overall lackluster experience in terms of food but I guess it’s a in an extremely touristy location so kind of understandable. Oh the bread to start was good.
Fantastic meal here on the patio overlooking the gardens. The best meal I had in Lake Louise - the atmosphere was relaxed, the vibe of the restaurant was very cool, and the staff were super friendly. I would go back in a heartbeat.
TLDR: Great water, overpriced, slow, bland everything else. This is mostly hype. The food is edible but not worth the money unless you are stranded and can't cook.
Was recently in to eat now that the band have been lifted and I felt extremely safe and welcome because of a server named Lori she was very helpful with her knowledge of the area and a sweet young lady the food was great and Lori gave us a great idea to get skates locally and go skating on Lake Louise we had so much fun thank you Lori for everything.
Lots of history in form of old pictures. Food was good.
Poutine was awesome. Great environment with a roaring fire inside on a snowy day.
Amazing place, great environment, old station and retro style. Pork in apple sauce was extremely delicious and also the strawberry pie. Recommended but expensive , in my opinion, worth it.
A wonderful place to eat. The atmosphere is excellent. The staff is attentive.
Beautiful historic building, friendly staff, and phenomenal food!
Came to Lake Louisie for a camping trip and found this hidden gem of a restaurant tucked away in the railway district after a crazy bike ride down the mountain. Great food, great service, and pride of ownership are displayed at all times. They have a small train museum here which is cool that showcase this buildings and areas +100 year history. The duck spring rolls are amazing you have to try them!
Food looked alright, smelled great, good location. Came in, was not seated or acknowledged for five minutes. Sat ourselves, waitresses and waiters actively and with intent ignored us. Sat for twenty minutes and then left.
Nice food, cool place. Everything on the kids menus is big. Fish is good. The noise of the trains going bye is kinda annoying but it’s all part of the experience. There are many wasps but that is not there fault. Waiters are friendly.
Found this quaint, cozy, classy place for dinner after a day of snowboarding. The best part was the raging, crackling fire place after a day out in the cold. Every entree was perfect. Try the roasted bison balls, the schnitzel and the homemade rhubarb pie ????
Very satisfying veggie burger and super kind staff. Fun space, and real fire places!
Beautiful location with nice mountain views. It is right by the train tracks. The food is wonderful for such a quaint place.
I just discovered the restaurant sells frozen meat pies. We tried beef, curry beef, chicken and seafood. Amazing! Best meat pies ever. This will be a “must come home with” item from now on. Delicious!
We came here for dinner after a long day. The host was very welcoming and polite. The server didn't seem to know the menu and had to check with the kitchen what station potatoes were. (Apparently they were out of potatoes so we couldn't try them.) The gluten free options were mainly salads (shared fryer) with no desserts as an option. Pork schnitzel- The seasoning was quite bland, it came with fries and roasted vegetables. Chicken fingers - The chicken fingers were very, very dry, however the fries were good. Salmon - The salmon wasn't too bad however the yam fries were definitely better than the salmon. Overall service was very polite and friendly. However, the food had a distinct cafeteria quality with higher end dining prices. It wasn't bad however I'm not sure I would return.
If you don't know anything about food and you're hungry and have lots of money, this is a good option. If you know how to make anything from a peanut butter sandwich to gourmet food, perhaps avoid this restaurant. The service was well done.
Good food and good experience. Nice history photos of Lake Louise area
Even though the train station wasn't open it was great to see!
Awesome dinner. We tried the 5 course chefs specialty of duck breast and the squash ravioli with bison meat balls. Delicious. Our waiter was professional and expertly suggested things to make our meal an experience. This restaurant is also kid friendly. And the decor ads to the uniqueness of this restaurant. Our only suggestion is the rhubarb pie was warmed, but ice cold in the center. It needed just a bit more time in the oven.
Lovely place, excellent service and good food. The infrastructure is spectacular! Inside you feel like you are in a 1900s high level restaurant. Outside you have a beautiful view of the mountains, a beautiful garden and the train rail.
We really enjoyed our meal here. I think we got a table without reservations at about 6pm. The food was very good as was the pie dessert. Clean, nice, courteous and not overcrowded. Prices were reasonable for the area.
Beautiful place year round.
Gorgeous location in a quiet location (although it’s right along side the rail tracks, obviously). The building and patio are beautiful. Food was really good and the servers friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely a place we will stop into again.
Great food. Great service. Great ambience.
Had a fantastic lunch here. The atmosphere was delightful with a crackling fire. The was excellent. The poutine is some of the best I’ve had.
Ahh one of the nice and unique places/restaurant I been to in a long time. This was old railway office that has been converted to restaurant some 25 years ago. Good part it still maintains that look and feeling of a railway office. And of course food is awesome too... Do try their veggie burger... Food may be little expensive but all good things come at little price.
The best kept secret in Lake Louise. Best meal I have had traveling accross Canada. I would highly recommend this place to anyone I know passing through this area ! Rolls were great, French onion soup and broth were so darn fine, The pork schnitzel was incredible and the walnut loaf was so scrumptious. Lastly the smores cherry dessert was sweet with an amazing bitter finish with the cacao nibs on top!!! 5 star meal. 3 star price 5 star view and service. It was a date with "Destiny".. lol our servers name ;)
Great atmosphere, laid back with 5 star service. Michael was amazing, warm, kind and encouraging to explore the restaurant itself. Food was fantastic. For dessert the strawberry rhubarb pie was fantastic.
Absolutely incredible food. Prices are high, but the portions are large. The original interior is still intact and is very nice. Service is fast and very friendly. Best dining experience I’ve had in town.
Great family restaurant, good service and food. Would definitely come back.
This is hard to find but really worth the effort. The setting, service and menu selection are all superb. Tina was our waitress today 5 stars. Thanks for a great afternoon. Steve, Tracey, Kay and Keith.
Stellar food. App, main, and dessert were absurdly good.
Wonderful service and food. Whole group of 12 enjoyed their meals.
I enjoyed my visit. The food selection is excellent. The interior is stylish and adds to a wonderful experience.
Nicely restored rail station. Good food and service
Great meal in an evening more spectacular building. So cool having the trains come by in the original train station!
Food is overpriced and being served super slowly. Be prepared to waste 2 hours here waiting for your burger.
great food and service
The first thing was the hostess. Super rude. But luckily both our waitress are very friendly. The food was ok. Nothing worth too much mention but the atmosphere was amazing. Antique style with a lot of real antique items from old times. The real fireplace and the sound really add great cozy feeling. Took out 2 stars for the rude hostess. She insisted us sitting at a corner when there's no reservation and no one in the restaurant. Really gave the customer bad start.
Lovely place, excellent service and good food. The infrastructure is spectacular! Inside you feel like you are in a 1900s high level restaurant. Outside you have a beautiful view of the mountains, a beautiful garden and the train rail.
We went twice during our trip to the Rockies. Excellent food and service from AJ and Jesse. The location is great with old photographs, furniture and ambiance from an old train station.
I have never seen a restaurant so beautifully located! Oh my God! The aesthetics, ambience, surroundings were breathtaking. Restaurant is very classy and the patio gorgeous. The menu was limited but we were busy just feeling amazing sitting there. Surrounded by humongous and wonderful mountains with the lake Lousie crystal clear blue water flowing on one side and backed by a rustic and antique looking Railway station. Only lucky ones get to visit here. There was also a “train restaurant” but it was reserved for only parties. The server was sweet to us. It is definitely one of the most beautiful restaurants of the world.
Recently dined at the Station Restaurant and was impressed with the hospitality and the menu options. After a long day of snow shoeing and travel, the Station was so welcoming with a well lit fire, festive decorations, accommodating and friendly staff, as well as a filling meal. I loved all the vegan options and highly recommend the lentil walnut loaf. We stayed at the Fairmont Lake Louise , but preferred our dinner at the Station to both restaurants we sampled at the Fairmont.
Visited last week and had great service, great spot on the patio and tasty eats. With COVID restrictions in place, we found it rather nice and simple to enjoy a couple hours with nice weather on their latio. Go early as it does get busy. Make a reservation if possible. If you haven't been do note it IS the old train station so assume many trains will loudly pass by. We don't mind at all when we visit here. Thanks for a nice visit during our summer vacation ????
Roast half chicken is so good. Even the grilled veggies and salad are so good too.
Great food and nice view
Great food, great environment! Truly worth the visit!
Quiet spot next to the heavily trafficked Lake Louise trails. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Family friendly with large table options and high chair. The bison ribs were well cooked, sauce slightly on the sweeter end. Salmon was good but slightly smaller portion compared to other mains.
Omg this place the history alone is worth the trip very nice people that let us look around the whole place. Some pretty great stories attached to it . Thank you kind staff.
Made large group booking here multiple times during peak tourism seasons. Management and servers were always really pleasant to deal with and made the experience easy. Food itself was good, albeit a bit pricey. Considering the location, that's probably fair, but would be a tougher pill to swallow if it weren't on a company card haha. Overall, this is a good, scenic place to grab a bite and wind down after enjoying the chaos and mayhem of Lake Louise.
A little pricey but the bison ribs were definitely worth it,”. Try the Saskatoon berry relish with the ribs!
Firstly, I would like to commend the lady servers in the restaurant - they were all really nice and welcoming. The one who served us, especially (tall, blonde lady, wish I had gotten her name). She was incredibly friendly - knew my 2-year old is crazy about trains and she made a point to rush over to let us know that a train was passing by. Needless to say, she made my boy so happy and he took to her as his new best friend. I really appreciate service like that. Ambience is great, as the place is like a little train museum. Food was a good-sized portion and tasted pretty good, so overall it was a memorable experience for us.
What a neat little place. Love the historic feeling of this restaurant. Food was amazing and staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
We stayed at the Paradise Lodge&Bungalows at Lake Louise and this restaurant was recommended to us, so we had dinner here 4 nights during our week's stay. We loved the entrees, as I always had their fish, and my husband enjoyed the pasta/steak preparations. One can look out and see a train go by quite close to the windows...without it being a disruption. The staff are excellent and engaging to inquire about our daily adventures. We mainly made reservations, but on the 4th time we did not make them...and even though the restaurant was full..we were promptly seated at the Bar area and we had a fabulous meal and great waitress....Great food in Lake Louise!i
Did anyone know that you can buy frozen take home pies made by the chef from the station at Lake Louise? I was sooo happy to discover this gem. They are awesome. So so delicious. My husband had the seafood pie and I the chicken one. Would 10/10 recommend buying these delicious meals!
Had a late lunch (arrived a little before 3 pm) of beef stew for me and bison burger for the wife. Setting was beautiful, food was creative and tasted good. Prices were about as expected in a tourist town in summer peak season. Service, however, was extremely slow - especially considering how few people were there - and the food had clearly been sitting a few minutes before coming to the table. A side order of fried mushrooms was also ridiculously small, barely enough for a garnish, let alone a side order costing a few dollars. Slow service and embarrassing mushrooms cost a star.
The food here was awesome. The menu is very diverse, allowing you to eat whatever you truly feel like. The whole restaurant has the amazing feel of the railroad stop, from the squeaky floors to the old timey decorations. Antiques from actual railroad stops line the windows, making the whole experience 10x cooler. Would totally recommend!
First off, the food was amazing. I had the bison burger and it was amazing. Secondly the location is great, the patio has mountain views and they have a beautiful garden on site as well. The flower baskets look amazing as well!
Service
Great spot to grab a bite in Lake Louise. It was like stepping back in time. I ordered the beet and arguably salad. It was satisfy and very tasty. Great service.
Food was great! We had the Bison lasagna, burger, and portobello. All of them were delicious and the yam fries were amazing. We saw a couple trains pass by too.
Our server Nile was very helpful and informative. Our daughter is celiac and they have a few items that they can do. The food was great. Service was exceptional. Atmosphere was gorgeous. The company was the best! We will be back.
Lovely location and fabulous service. Good food and different to the usual offerings in Lake Louise. Would definitely recommend and return.
Great food and ambience!
Poor response to customer. We did not even enter the door, got told they re-open at 5 for dinner. Did not even asked what we need or how can we help you?. Is that how you respond to customer? May be update info. online for better service or greet everyone with basic greeting. I guess people can learn that. ????????
Called about 30 minutes before my arrival asking if there were any tables for one available. Hostess confirmed and said I could drop by really anytime and get a table. I was seated at a nice table next to the window overseeing the mountains and tracks. Trains do go by, including the Rocky Mountaineer. My burger and drink came out to $32, a bit high considering the burger and service, but nonetheless good food. One of the better places in Lake Louise.
Enjoyed this restaurant beside the railway main line in Lake Louise. Food was excellent. Service was good. Great use of space highlighting the history of the building.
The restaurant was transferred from a train station, it could be a wonderful to see train passing while you dinning. The restaurant is well managed and the staffs are friendly, However, the food is good, but not as good as expected. it is a little bit pricy as well. we spent more than 100 $ for 2 main dishes and 1 cocktails. if you come to visit, make your budget at least from 50-60$ per person.
we got the Paradise Bowl and Bison Burger with side caesar salad and it was amazing!!!!
The unique aesthetic of this place is commendable. The mountains, train, the atmosphere inside the restaurant or on the patio, it’s incredible when exposed to all. Top it off with an outstanding taste of food and great service! I said I just wanted to try a bison burger, but got more than what I asked for. Don't forget to explore the trails near the restaurant. The view is excellent.
Staff are nice, but the menu is deceiving. Overpriced, not a lot of options. Entrees are all over $20 and appetizers are 15+. You can’t get the Mac and cheese or stews as they are frozen and just for sale, not consumption onsite.
Pleasant view, good staff, but head chef still need to learn how to make a good steak. At a rate of $48 per plate for AAA Alberta NY cut (not even a rib eye cut) I ended up with rare steak not a med rare as asked for. Steak wasn't properly cooked and then rested so I ended up with smth very mediocre. The bison burger was good, hence the 3 stars. Beet and goat cheese salad was mediocre as well.
Wonderful food. Wonderful service. You couldn't ask for more.
Dining there was amazing. It was even better when the train came in. I would recommend this beautiful place to anyone on vacation. Customer service was excellent and the food was delicious.
Dine in
Loved the ambiance. Picture perfect place. Loved the food. But the restaurant is pricey. Worth the money and time
We didn't end up staying for dinner but the menu looked appealing. Making plans to go there for a bite to eat.
Very good meal. Quiet setting on patio overlooking the garden. beautiful mountains for a backdrop
Best bread ever, the place is very cute...the mains were ok
Absolutely top notch????. Service was brilliant, the setting and history is superb, but the food is awesome. Bison ribs was the best meal hubby has ever had, ever! Recommend without hesitation, but book ahead. If you are lucky trains go right by as you drink at the bar????????
Very good food and service is also very good. The old railway station setting is also interesting to see
Excellent food and service. It’s a cozy place and the train passes just in front. Lovely experience. The bison ribs were delicious! We also tried the strawberry and rhubarb pie which was delightful. Great choice!
The food was great, service was excellent and as a plus, the ambiance was nice with the fireplaces.
Historic bldg great food with reasonable prices given where it is
We found this gem ???? after a long day of biking. We didn't have a reservation but being there at opening they were able to seat us with no issues whatsoever. This restuarant filled up very quickly so I suggested reservation. The building is old and rustic but yet elegant with outstanding windows that I am sure are the original or refurbished they are the backdrop to the bar . The bar is an old fashion one with ofcorse all modern-day equipment. The service was outstanding ????. The food is what you expect. Delicious!!! I highly recommend the steak and French onion ????. The place has a great history and is showcased in every part of the property. We are still talking how good it was.
Servers are great! Tipped great. Best yam fries ever! But the chicken burger is DRY. Anyways all good
good place to go
Got the Bison burger. Delicious!
The Fry's are delicious . They do need to have sweet and sour sauce But they are a little bit slow
Beautiful Atmosphere and great Service. My wife and I each had a Bison Burger and and a regular hamburger, both were excellent. The Chocolate Mouse desert was also fantastic and nice and light. My understanding is that there is no desert menu and these rotate. The home baked Bread was also a really pleasent addition to the meal. The main entry way where the bar is had a nice warm fire going and the building is very well cared for and retains the old Railway Station charm. Trains going by are not disturbing and actually really very pleasent (you can feel them coming but the sound is not loud and will not interrupt your enjoyment).
Bison lasagna was great and reasonnably priced for the Lake Louise area, and the patio with the spectacular view on the moutains was perfect. Will definitely come back again !
Out of drinks
Lovely dining room with fireplace. Good food in generous portion. A hidden gem in the area.
This restaurant used to be an old railway station. The interior is quite old but quite well kept. Food is delicious. Service is great.
Very cool restaurant. Nice atmosphere with real fires and historic decor. Friendly staff and tasty food. Kids loved when trains came through the station and they could see them from our table.
This restaurant has a cool location and lots of parking. The menu also has good variety and large portion sizes but the quality of the food is not great. We ordered a hummus and bread appetizer and it was served straight from the fridge. The hummus is never served that cold. It was a cold day and we were looking for warm food. Most items they served seemed very cold even the water was super cold and we had to ask for room temperature water. In mains we ordered paradise bowl which had good ingredients but again was colder than it should be.
Amazing food! I highly recommend the chef's set course dinner. The restaurant itself is really cool they have a lot of antiques and the building is beautiful. It is easy to access and there is lots of parking!
Great, friendly service and good food at a premium price. Nostalgic railway station atmosphere.
Amazing atmosphere and even better food. Full of cool photos and artifacts showcasing the history of the railroad around Lake Louise. Would recommend this spot to anyone and everyone.
We found this restaurant listed on trip advisor and seemed to be the best option compared to other restaurants in town. When we arrived we were instantly greeted by a friendly waitress and we're seated in a room with a crackling fire. The atmosphere and history of the building is very cool and the food was very tasty.
Cozy little restraunt. They even a a fire going in the fire place. Good food. Good service. Very comfy place to stop for a bite to eat.
If I could give them 6 stars I would! Best meal that I had during one week in Banff. Staff are so nice and the desserts… so goooood!
Amazing staff, which isn’t necessarily easy in that area. Servers were truly incredible and we were a huge group of 25. Not overly impressed with food for the price, but a decent option considering prices in the area.
After a day sweating in the mountains, I crave a burger and the Station has the best burger in Lake Louise hands down. I don't understand how they make any money off the chowder because it's filled with seafood including giant prawns. The quality of the meals we had was first rate and value proposition (especially considering you're in Lake Louise) is tough to beat. Definitely my favourite place to eat in Lake Louise.
Loved the food and passing trains.
We ordered the soup of the day (roasted pepper), and French onion for starters. The veggies lasagna and the salmon were great. The sangria was very nice as well. The outdoor view was also really nice (Aug evening)
Staff was friendly service was quick bison ribs where awesome
Fantastic building and food. Walk from car park to wooden bridge to see the beautiful Bow River
Mac and cheese from Kids menu was delicious! White chocolate cheesecake and kids ice cream with chocolate sauce was also great! Service was excellent!
Solid food and reasonable prices.
Absolutely fantastic. Great, comfortable atmosphere, amazing service, and incredible food. I definitely recommend coming here after a good day skiing or traveling. The food is just the right amount, nice and hot as well as fresh. I would definitely recommend trying the station mac and cheese with braised duck, or if they have a lamb special, that's as well is very delicious. I'm definitely coming here again next time I'm in lake louise.
Lol Station Restaurant closed. Found a park's outhouse with a zip-tie lock. Sorry we cut the lock and used the facility. Thank you Park. You were there in my time of need.
Service was a bit slow. Food is a bit expensive for the quantity. But it was tasting great tho and the ambience is nice.
Big bucks not great food. We also asked to sit by the fireplace but were told it was only for larger groups so we got stuck in a corner in the next room. Then, as we were leaving we noticed two people, same as us just two people, sitting at the table we asked for....no large group. Frustrating and not impressed, won't go back. Staff member was friendly.
It is a great place with history and great food
Amazing food and real nice customer service experience
An incredible landmark with delicious food and an incredible vibe- the history is authentically maintained . It’s a must visit in Lake Louise! Burgers are delicious here - Bison and Salmon both world class with amazing fries as well. The soup is a surprisingly tasty and fresh. Friendly fast service and cold beers. It’s a special place. Lovely hikes along the river across the road. Don’t miss out on your chance to visit this gem!
Visited multiple times and always delicious. Had the daily lunch special most times. Fun to walk around the grounds as well.
I really enjoy going to this place it is not only about the restaurant it is about all the history their restaurant have behind, when you go inside you go to other place it is just amazing how much history is inside, the service was great!! The food was regular, but I am really pleasefo this experience...
Great Canadian style food in a fascinating historic building Good service too.
Your team of chefs devalued the only thing I ever cared about in my life. Food. Be better. Actually, no. Stop cooking food. Humanity requires progression and should be allowed to move forward, and the only thing I feel holding us back in 2020, aside from the orange down south, is your cooking. Also, how do you screw up an Old Fashion? How do you screw up making bread? Just... how?
I came here for lunch and enjoyed the poutine with pulled pork along with a locally produced ginger beer. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The setting is stunning, and if you stay for a hour you'll most likely get to see a Canadian freight train rumble by.
Great location, a lovely piece of history. The food was excellent, as was the service. The staff were very friendly.
Really nice service and environment. I love the food here especially the bison meat! If you come to Louise lake, you must have your dinner here!
Great service, perfectly-cooked food, large portions. The cocktails are great (I had a caesar). All the bison dishes are amazing.
Great ambiance poor food. Suggest the owner get a cook who knows what he's doing. The pasta lemon chicken was uneatable, the duck tough and its roast potatoes not cooked enough. The onion soup was delicious, but my duck came before I'd finished my soup. The lemon chicken tasted like something thrown together from the local supermarket covered with cheese.
Grate staff, nice area, dessert is quite nice
Surprisingly good food with a mountain casual vibe, charming location (old train station, remarkable photos on walls), within a glorious park; expectedly pricey of course. My wife and I had a very satisfying meal by ordering a spinach salad for her, and we shared portions of my 3-course menu. The latter began with hearty and tasty split pea soup, then lamb shank cooked to perfection with glazed vegetables. Dessert was house-made strawberry rhubarb pie. Coffee was excellent as well. Pleasant and experienced service (Lori) made things go smoothly and not at all rushed.
Great place for lunch. Great service
Fantastic place to eat. Top notch service and super friendly staff. I recommend this place to anyone staying or coming to the area.
McLeod lake
Had pulled pork Mac and cheese and it was amazing, very cozy and welcoming place. Highly recommend giving this hidden gem a chance. Pricing is pretty typical of a sit down restaurant, and has an expansive drink menu for any style or taste.
Went for lunch and we sat on the patio. The atmosphere outside is so nice and the train passed while we were there. Ordere chicken burger with caesar salad and OMG the caesar salad is to die for I never tasted something like it, the ingredients are so fresh and the portionof the plate is very generous. would definitely recommend
???? Great restaurant. Staff was super nice, all of our food was really good and the wine recommendation was on point. If you spend the day at Lake Louise or Lake Moraine, I highly recommend stopping there to have dinner.
Our server was very kind and friendly, we enjoyed the view and food. Book a table in advance, also try their soups they really warmed up in our cold day.
I had the salmon, which was quite good. Especially enjoyed the twice baked potatoes. My partner had the lasagna, which was nothing special but good.
A little $$$, But food was great, service also was great.
Cool place for photos. (P.s. don't feed gophers Doritos)
A bit higher prices, but the quality delivers. Good service too. The clincher is the fantastic building. We sat in a room with antique typewriters and telegraph equipment and watched as a train rolled by.
Good food and nice atmosphere, reasonable price
Party of three. Made a reservation and came in for dinner. Hostess refused service and got the manager to ask us to leave before we even got fully inside. We were just three people passing through and driving all day so maybe didn't look like a million bucks but perhaps if it was due to some kind of dress code (even though we were much nicer dressed and behaved than others we saw inside) they should be clear about that. Will not return.
Great menu, good food, restaurant and museum all in one! Perfect for the train enthusiasts!
Very memorable location as it’s an only train station. Good vibe, good food, a little on the pricier side but very reasonable.
Went for a day trip drive from Edmonton, came here just before dinner time and the place was empty, we weren't sure how it would be but we we're pleasantly pleased with the great service, unbelievable food and the atmosphere was second to none. I will definitely be back the next time I am coming through here.
Great place to hangout. We enjoyed a lot.
Pretty awesome historic restaurant! Great food and service. Family friendly unlike some places in Banff.
We came at about 6pm and it was empty, lucky us as we didn't have to wait. Half hour later it was crowded. Service was nice, steak was very tasty. Rhubarb pie is a must have :) This place has an old school atmosphere which actually feels authentic. Only wifi could have been better...
Vintage restaurant with deliciuos food and nice area
We were turned down from Moraine Lake parkade (full) and had to stop here to rest for a while. Quite a surprising little place, for its quite beautiful and the food did not disappoint. Quaint place, creaky floors, great staff. Our tot had a great time in their garden. Don't forget to take pictures with the heritage red train.
Great food! Especially the strawberry rhubarb pie!
Went for dinner and had French onion soup, duck tacos, bison lasagna, and bison ribs. Everything tasted amazing and was very nicely presented. Wood floors and trim create a rustic look. There are many historical photos on the walls and two trains passed by during our stay, which was very entertaining. The restaurant is only about 6meters from the tracks. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend eating here!
Food was amazing (quality, taste and size of portion). The bison ribs were excellent and the service was great. The train passing by the restaurant window makes every almost magical. I suggest make reservations before go.
