Awesome place. They sell exactly what I was looking for and even do special orders for specific fresh fish if you call them, giving at least two days notice. I was so happy with how my swordfish and blue marlin steaks I didn't even get a picture of the finished work, grilled and served with my homemade butter mixed with parsley, lemon zest, mixed peppercorns and garlic. Looking forward to many excellent seafood meals supplied by this great spot, what a catch! :P

The selection is great - my go-to's are sashimi-grade fish for making sushi and poke bowls at home and their house-made cold smoked salmon. The variety of other fresh fish is very good and it's helpful that they will cut and skin fish to your preferences. The availability of local and East Coast sauces and other ingredients is a bonus and I can't remember the last time I went to buy fish where I didn't also pick up something new to try. Their cost for dried herbs and spices and panko crumbs is some of the best in the city. And the service is always incredibly friendly. They've done a wonderful job of creating that small town welcoming East Coast feel in the heart of Kitchener.

Absolutely fantastic service. My girlfriend and I drove there from Guelph on the hunt for salmon we could use for sushi. The staff were helpful and friendly and patient with us (we had NO idea what we were doing). They offered us samples and discussed how we were going to make our sushi. Then we drove home, and The smoked salmon we purchased was absolutely the best I ever had, and my partner agrees. We will be returning, the smoked salmon alone is worth the trek, and that wasn't even what we went for! We won't be going anywhere else for our fish.

My go to spot for all things ocean, lake, and a few other specialty items. The staff is always happy to answer any questions that you might have. Shopping on a budget? They can help with that too. Sushi grade salmon and tuna are always available. The in house smoked fish is amazing. Cold smoked salmon, hot smoked fish fillets and whole perch, candied salmon.. I could go on but I'd recommend going yourself. Customer 10 years strong ????

I came for the first time today and I will absolutely be back here as soon as I can! It has a true fish market vibe, all in one store, nestled in the heart of Kitchener-Waterloo. I came for Smoked Salmon because of a recommendation from a friend and was helped by a gentleman who gladly explained the options to me. I left with a beautiful cold-smoked fillet which I learned is smoked in-house!! I can't wait to try some on it's own, with Eggs Benny, or as Lox on a bagel!!

T&J Seafoods makes you feel at home. The staff are always helpful whether I'm looking for ideas for a meal or need guidance to determine the portions I need for the number of people I'm serving. Today when I bought some gorgeous crab legs I left feeling not only satisfied with the product, but blown away by the level of customer service that I received. This is by far the best place to go to for seafood in Kitchener-Waterloo.
