Twice, that I go there to pick up our dog food and they didn't have it. Not too happy about it....The staff is awesome and helpfully. The only thing I don't understand is if you purchase a BIG dog bag they will ask you if you need assistance to your car. So if your next person in line you have to wait for the cashier to come back....lol!

I think that curbside pickup and click and collect brings out the worst in ppl. I've always had a good experience at this location however, on Sat Jan 9th /21 this was not the case. I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing the staff member bc I had two orders and a gift certificate to use towards my order. The staff member made it seem that this was a huge hassle for her. This was based off her comments and constant sighs.

This location certainly knows what client service is all about. During these lockdown times where someone in the government believes that feeding your pet is not essential but buying clothing at a big box store is, the people at RENs are doing their best to make sure our pets get fed. I was in an emergency situation and they did their best to help me out while at the same time staying within the guidelines given to them by our government. They have course didn’t have to do anything but went out of their way to help me. I would highly recommend them.

I shop there all the time to buy my cat food. Couple weeks ago I went in to see if they could help me with a problem I've been having with my oldest cat Misty for years. She's been scratching her ears for years, it never seem to be a problem as far as her health or eating, it was all good. I spoke to Rachel that works there and asked her if there was anything they could recommend for her ears. Rachel was so so much help and had so much knowledge on cats that she gave me a product that cleared her ears up in just 3 days. Overall the staff were helpful and friendly. The store is clean and well organized. However I did have an issue when I was shopping for a crate for my dog. When asking staff, I was instructed to buy the next size up as they said what I picked was to small, even though the box stated it would be correct. The next size up looked way too big but they told me the box wasn't the actually size of the crate. When I got home and opened it up, the box was the size. My poor dog got into the centre of it and had a huge moat around him. Thankfully I was able to return the crate and pick up the correct size. I did that at the Waterloo location in the boardwalk. They were more knowledgable and said my first choice was correct. I will shop at the Waterloo location going forward.

Today was my first visit and i was very disappointed. I was looking for a particular cat food recommended to me. When i had a chance to ask, I was advised they didn't carry it any longer. I asked if they had anything comparable to recommend or samples for my cat to try. Answer was No!! No one offered me any assistance. I grabbed a few cat treats on sale and left. I won't be going there again. Maybe if you have a dog you'd get better service!!!

I went in to get some dog food and there as no rep to greet or ask if I needed assistance despite the fact that there were a few ppl in the check out area. This was the first time I was in this store so I didn't know where some brands were so the fact that nobody approached me or even asked if I needed help to carry out the dog good didn't create the best impression. Other stores make customers feels welcomed regardless of whether your buying a $1 dog treat or a $100+ bag of dog food.

Ren's has always been our favorite store to get what we need for our rescue babies. They always have what we need, the brands we trust and the prices are fair. We find it more cost effective to purchase food online but the selection they have is unbeatable. Staff are always friendly and ready to help and amazing with the dogs. Always trying to upsell, but its retail. As long as you know what you need, know your products and go in with a plan you will love the experience at Ren's!

We bring our dogs in the store on a weekly basis. The staff are very friendly and even greet the dogs by name! The staff are always happy to see us and the dogs when we come in. Our dogs also get really excited when we are driving and pull into the parking lot. Our dogs can't wait to go in the store and see the staff!

Buy 12 bags if dog food get one free. At $90 a bag I was looking forward to my free bag. When I purchased my 11th bag they tell me the program is discontinued and offered me a $10 voucher, then upped it to $20. Do the math it's $55 short and I will never use the voucher. If it wasn't for the fee bag program I would have never bought that food.

This was my first visit to Ren's and I was pretty impressed. I had no particular brand I was looking for, just senior dog food. The person who helped me was awesome, knew where to find what I wanted almost immediately. The store also has a great policy of letting you return pet food if your pet doesn't like it as long as at least half of it is left and you have the receipt. I plan on returning often now.

Really disappointed with staff. Older and not comfortable with technology, so called in. Asked about placing order and was told they were too busy and would only accept online orders. Told the rep that I wasn't comfortable with the site and it seemed to not work well. I was told that it wasn't her problem and that I could go somewhere else. How's that for great customer service.

Unfortunately I've had some really unpleasant experiences with this store lately, I was hoping it was a one-off, but after multiple bad experiences and today's experience I'm afraid something has changed at this store. While compassionate to the adjustments required during lockdown, my online order has been wrong multiple times, missing items. Today I picked up an order and asked to review it first because my other order was missing items. I did not ask for a refund or a replacement, because that order they didn't give me the receipt either- I was taking this as a loss. The customer service representative today did not greet me, did not say goodbye after I had paid; they walked away after my payment was approved. Call me old fashioned, but it felt very rude, and felt like I was completely irritating this person. Further, when I had mentioned about my previous orders being incomplete (and yet I had paid for the missing items...) they walked away without saying a word. No further questions, no remark of any kind. I am pretty disappointed, as I've had some bad experiences and multiple rude customer service representatives, who were by all means, not providing basic service, and not representing the company well at all.

The product stock is not as complete as the Boardwalk but acceptable. I am a little uncomfortable here because I asked for help a few of times and they seemed so irritated. Even when explaining a new product the condescending tone is loud. Kind of like being in Paris, it’s not just one person. Even at the billing counter their tone changes when speaking to someone of other ethnicities and older women but giving them the benefit of doubt I don’t believe they actually realize they talk down to certain people. They follow the rules of the franchise and that’s something.

Tried Ren's Pets for the first time today. Very welcoming environment with a knowledgeable staff! Upon entering the store I was welcomed and helped by a Cassidy who was very friendly and informed about the products sold, she helped me make the proper decision of what harness's and food to get for my new puppy Ralph. Overall an amazing experience and fantastic staff, me and Ralph will definitely be returning to this location in the future!

Some of the staff I've spoken to have been very knowledgeable about the kinds of food the store is carrying. We came in looking for quality food for our pup's sensitive stomach. The employee recommended a good food that fit our high standards and our pup loves it and it doesn't cause him any issues. Merchandise can be very pricey, not much in the way of savings, especially if you're trying to buy quality food. Regardless, this store does serve all our needs fairly well. The brand loyalty bonus is a nice perk too.

Lost our business permanently! My fiance and I went to look for a product for our dog and had some questions about the product. The women we spoke to was completely snarkly, offer no information, seem to not even want us there or had the time of day for a simple conversation. She made us feel so uncomfortable that I just walk away. Shortly after my fiance did the same. When got into the car and looked at each and said... what the hell was that? I said not sure but that is why I walked away because I was going to say something. We left and went to another pet store and this wonderful lady answered all our questions. We will never spend our hard earned money at Ren's again and be treated like that.

I go in with my baby so as soon as I am greeted they ask if I need help to find anything and when I say what it is, they will go and get it for me and have it ready at the counter while I finish my shopping.

First of all I have to say that the staff were very friendly when we walked in the store. Asked if we needed anything. It was a big sale weekend. Great deals!!
