Well the cart and quarter is such a pain! They would get some customers without this cart hassle. You see people trying to get "free" carts. The veggie bags are hell to open, get better bags. The cash register people do not have a scanner gun and want it, this would improve their workflow . Limited supply of grocery items, such as coconut milk, there was no low fat options but four from the same brand?!?! . Come on Freshco get into the modern times for your staff and options for your customers .

There was a frozen pizza listed at 2.99, but when i tried to purchase the item the cashier told me it was 4.99. i told her that the price was clearly listed under the product and that she could send someone back to check if she needed. she sent a guy back who took off the price, got rid of it and claimed it was never there to begin with. store is a complete joke.

Nice big store, well signed and organized, wide enough isles. Vegetables are great in variety and other groceries too. I only found the catfood especially friskies and whiskas and cat litter dissapointingly lacking in variety, but could buy enough for my two ravenous cats for at least a month. So giving this a 4.5 riunded up to five stars anyway. Also good foreign section. Nice collection of nuts for us nutty people. Freshco seems to indeed mean freshness... Pricing a bit up comparing with Food Basics, but not such that I feel it in my wallet. Certainly recommended. Will come back again.

When I originally reviewed this location (2 years ago) I gave it 3 stars. I am downgrading my review to 1-star based on the miserable state of this store over the last year or so. Lately, when visiting this store it is beyond dirty. The aisles are stacked with skids, the produce department is horrid, and the staff seem generally apathetic. It's disappointing because other discount grocery stores, like No Frills, manage to maintain clean and tidy stores while still offering good deals – there's no reason why Fresh Co. couldn't do the same thing. It seems the management/ownership have ceased to care.

What happened to this store? I use to be able to come here for all my staples... Now I can't seem to get one! Wall full of yogurt but nothing dairy free... Have you not seen Canada's Food Guide? Ditch the Dairy man! No rice milk in stock, freezer shelves are broken and hanging, doors are left open (I will not be buying thawed frozens from here!) Stock filling the isles (which is a good thing... If they were on the shelves, only saw one dude stocking shelves... yogurt no doubt!) Not a good visit... I sure hope this changes soon! The cashier's aren't particularly friendly, understandably though because they're actively doing quality assurance while maintaining service standards, cross referencing barcodes, doing accurate data entry and cash handling, all at once. Never a negative experience. Meat pricing, especially seafood, could be better. More variety and better pricing on poultry and red meats as well. I love that they sometimes have house plants you can buy; I'm the proud owner of a Halloween species of tropical from there - I've named my plant Weiwei and she's thriving (please water your plants-for-sale more often, according to the instructions included for consumers to follow for optimal plant health and growth; brought home a half dead succulent once and it had spider mites. I brought it back to life, but decided it wasn't worth infecting my other plants). Ultimately, the service is of the lower middle standard, given that the cashiers don't talk much, but I really appreciate this with not having to return to cash for receipt errors and for the days that I don't feel chatty. Also, the deals - apart from the above mentioned exceptions, are super economical and valuable. Lastly, despite their convenient "Open 24 Hours" protocol, it's always clean there. Solid 4 out of 5.

Thursday March 29th at 11:10am I drove across town as the Google page said this Fresh Co. was 24 hours. Although the parking was full the store was not open. 1 by 1 angry customer left as they found out they store was closed. When I asked Evan why it says the store is open when they were closed, his remark was we don't control google and the hours they provide. This is in fact incorrect, but more importantly a ignorant excuse to a disappointed customer. Im hoping to hear from the owners of the store, but won't hold my breath.

Edit: in light of the pandemic, my edit has to do with the lackluster attempt at Covid precautions. Too many people are crammed in the store every time I visit. It's not a big store, so for there to be a half dozen people in every aisle and every line at the same time seems a bit much. Maybe I'm just going at the busy time. Best grocery store for basic items. Produce always has best prices. Meat selection is decent. Great international aisle.

Contrary to the available 24/7 hours, as a frequent shopper here the lines at check-out progress slowly. There are usually only 3-4 cashiers working while there are plenty of registers available (speaking during peak times). Sometimes the store can be disorganized & messy. Regardless of these details, there is quite a bit of selection and decent sales that happen here

Crowded isles, hard to move in. Numerous isles where I met another cart and had to back up because there was not enough room to pass each other. They also did not have several products available from their advertising. And when we asked questions, including where to find products, their help did not even know and gave us wrong information. Not a great store. I did my first review for this place almost a year ago. Now I find they're even worse than before. If I could give them a zero I would. Today we went in. Had 2 rainchecks from FreshCo on Westmount so we asked if they could be redeemed at this store. Clerk took the copies to check with the manager and came back 10 minutes later telling us, yes, no problem. So we did our shopping, probably $100 or more. Got to the cashier and she refused to accept the rainchecks. Then she spoke to another cashier who said yes they could but only for 2 items not the 3 we had (rainchecks were actually marked for 6 of each). We explained that we had already spoke to someone who gave us the go ahead to use them. But these two girls said the owner does not allow them to accept the rainchecks from another FreshCo. Wouldn't even call a manager. So we decided that even though we had just spent 45 minutes shopping in their store we left it all there. We refuse to give any place like this any of our business. I would rather pay more and shop in a store that actually treats their customers appropriately. These girls were rude and sarcastic in tone, remarking, "well thanks a lot! Go and have a good night". It will be a long time before I ever shop there again. In fact, we may just stop shopping at FreshCo all together. I hate to give places like this any of our hard earned money! I hope others will also think twice before shopping at FreshCo, especially on Weber St. East, as well.!

Went to FreshCo during its designated hours last night, instead of showing up when they're closed (because that's what normal people do). Couldn't find something my husband needed and Craig Chong their produce manager helped me find it right away. Best experience I've ever had in Kitchener, even better than Ribfest. Would shop there again. Would also give 6 stars out of 5 if I could, but alas life is cruel.

I have been to this place number of times & its one of the best Freshco in KW specifically for Indian customers as they have almost all famous Indian vegetables. Their produce selection is pretty good for a discounted chain! Prices are great, and the store is usually kept pretty clean. The only thing they need to do is hire more cashiers or have more staff cash trained. There are tons of registers, but usually only 2 cashiers, and 1 is express. Be prepared to wait. I might also suggest making the lane with the wheelchair sign express? I've seen people in the electric scooters with one item have to wait in a large lineup because the scooter doesn't fit down any of the other lanes. Just a suggestion...

This grocery store does price matching, but you won't have to too often for the produce, it's often the same price or lower than other advirtised prices. You need to bag your own groceries here, and a quarter is required to use a cart. The produce and pantry sections are good, the meat and bakery sections are less than stellar.

Stopped in for a late night grocery run, anticipating Sobeys-like prices with their recently announcing a few of their locations to be made into 24hr grocer's. But aside from Greek yogurt being a buck more than usual, I couldn't find any discernable difference in pricing or quality of product or service. I saved nearly 40$ on a 100$ grocery bill (quid pro quo for me) through my standard price matching routine. And when I left my phone in a previous isle, a softening Bluetooth connection over my headphones let me know that it was on the move. Sure enough, a late night store clerk had found it, and despite it being 130 am, he still cared enough to secure it behind a cash till for me.

Freshco is good for groceries anyway and now since the Weber and Franklin store is 24hrs that's very helpful for people who work late or want to do their groceries at the odd hour

Came here for 3 ingredients. The meat I wanted to buy was grey. An employee said there was asparagus in the back so I waited and she never came back. I left without buying anything and an employee followed me to my car and accused me of shoplifting.

Freshco is actually laid out where u can find everything pretty easy it gets busy at night time cause there's only usually one cashier but on the plus side it's 24 hours

I used to love fresh co prices are unbeatable but they seem to be systematically getting rid of the regular products I buy for my home, I've had to change to Zehrs lately to find products like Krave cereal and certain yogurts, I'm now paying top dollar for my groceries and who can afford that these days. I do love this location being 24 hours and parking is good. Giving 4 instead of 3. ????

Used to be my favourite place to get groceries, now I find myself at food basics for all my basic goods and zehrs for all my high end stuff. The best thing about Fresco is that they carry Chapman's ice cream products.

Was hired here by a company that helps with employment. Even then they only gave my a max 2 shifts a week with only 5 hours each. They were terrible at training, just watch a few videos and you know everything lol. Place was just a complete sh*t show. Wouldn't recommend working here unless you like having no shifts a week.

Affordable prices but I buy my produce elsewhere. Whenever I have been in the store (usually on the weekend) the produce is spoiled with mould on fruit, sprouts growing out of the onion bags, etc. Yes, it is a discount grocery store but rotten food is unacceptable. I purchase other products there and prices are good.

On the website it clearly states that if I am not satisfied with an item I can bring it back within 14 days and get my money back but this is clearly not the case. I tried to return products that I was not satisfied with and the return was refused.

Fantastic that this location is 24 hours, however there has been more than one occurence of entire things being completely out of stock (i.e all chicken, all beef, several kinds of fresh vegetables). I'm sure there is a reason for this however as a customer it would be nice to be able to get (for example) any kind of fresh chicken to complete my grocery shop instead of leaving what I've already picked up and shopping elsewhere. For these reasons ill be shopping elsewhere unless i absolutely have to shop here (i.e after hours)
