I've been to Cameron seafood once a handful of years ago for dinner and it was great! However, I've heard amazing things about their Dim Sum. I've only had experience with Dim Sum in Taiwan, which many would say they have some of the best Dim Sum in the world. I must say I was very impressed with Cameron's Dim Sum!! It was DELICIOUS! One of my best friends is a major food connoisseur. The dumplings were extremely flavourful and mouth watering. I am still in a food coma as I am writing this. I will definitely be back and I want to introduce everyone I know to try out the dim sum and other dishes here! Thank you for the amazing meal Cameron! Also note the service was also great, definitely a hole in the wall in Kitchener/Waterloo!

Hands down, the best Dim Sum in Kitchener! I've had Dim Sum in Hong Kong and Cameron's does it right. Their Har Gaw is plump with giant shrimps, their Siu Mai is tasty and porky, their stuffed eggplants and peppers are perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce. To be completely honest, I love every single Dim Sum dish that I have had there. I've had over 20 dishes over the years. Be prepared to pay a little bit more but it's worth every penny!

Their Dim Sum is pricey but it all tastes really good: Fried calamari, all the different dumplings, sticky rice. It all comes out hot and they give you hot sauce to go with it. It's also our favourite for Chinese food-dinner. Splitting combo plates between a few people is a good way to sample different things.

Terrible. The beef fried rice had egg whites in it and we have an egg allergy in our family. The beef ginger had beef slices and green onions, no green pepper or shredded carrot and the sauce was awful. 18.75 for that?? lemon chicken was hard not crispy and the chop suey was gummy and gooey. Not impressed and cant understand the top reviews. What a waste of 72.60. Won't be ordering from this place again. Yuck.

This review is well overdue, but here it is. I've been going to Cameron's for 10 years now, and it is by far the best Chinese food in the KW region. I thoroughly enjoy their dim sum. How I miss it so. Some of the best dishes I've had for dinner are duck soy sauce, walnut shrimp, udon noodles with meat, wonton soup, hot sour soup, and so much more. We always make an effort to ask the staff what dishes they would recommend as we like to try one new dish every visit or takeout order. The team that run's this restaurant is super friendly, and they always make you feel at home.

Food was ok, we ordered a couple of the combo platers and the chicken lettuce wraps. Overall the food was good, my combo plater( lemon chicken and Singapore noodles) I found to be way over salted(or MSG) not sure what they use. And almost no lemon sauce. The chicken lettuce wraps was truly the winner for me! This dish is very consistent and oh so yummy! This experience won't stop me from coming back but I think I'll try something else and can't wait for a dine in option again as they are takeout only due to the pandemic

For a small city where Chinese cuisine options are limited, Cameron really is not bad. However, I would like the quality of sauce to improve, especially the choy (The sauce was so salty I was choking).

This place is pretty pricey but I'm used to dim sum in Toronto. Was a little traumatized when I got the bill but the food was amazing and delicious. Serving size was also a little larger than most dim sum places. Service was great too.

Ordered for takeout, was initially told over the phone that the order was $116 and I verified it as I had intended to pay cash upon arrival. When I arrived they verified my phone number and the order cost bloated to $176. My note showing what I had ordered did match on their end so I questioned as to why it was $60 more exactly and the staff couldn't give me an answer. Otherwise, they're lucky I had additional cash or I would have refused the order and went elsewhere. I asked for the order to be ready for pick up at 5pm and they were firm about me having to pick it up by 430pm despite them being open until 8pm. Odd. I left at 330pm to do a couple errands and showed up at 405pm expecting to wait, and it was ready in bags already. I questioned when it was put into bags and how long it had been sitting out but I couldn't get an answer. It wasnt kept under heat lamps. This should have been my first hint to walk out and go elsewhere instead of overpaying for the order by $60. Food was decent overall, no one became ill that I'm aware of, but I wont go back nor recommend it for anyone unless you plan to dine in. Concerns include questionable food safety and less than stellar customer service. Two out of five stars is a reach as I can only hope the dine in experience is better than the take out.

Love the food here. Order take out. Sauces are on the side so all breaded dishes stay crispy. Lots of flavour in all the different dishes. As you eat you discover the different ingredients. Not plain at all. I crave their food.

Not quite 5 star but I would give them 4.5. It was quite busy on Sunday morning, but when we were seated and ordered, foods came out quite fast. Also you can refill water tea easily by replacing it at one end of the table. If choose dishes properly, you could have a very satisfying dimsum lunch with good price

Cameron's is good, I'm yet to go for their dim sum. We ordered food for takeout and it was averagely good. My favourite were the spring rolls though, I could have those any day!! We'll definitely be going back for those. Heard the dim sum was amazing so will probably return to try one day.

Delicious and reliable food...I have been eating there for over 30 years and have never had a bad experience. They have a wide selection on their menu. The scallops and the hot and spicy chicken are my personal favorites, and the hot and sour soup is the standard by which I judge all other soups. And the spring rolls are amazing.

COVID REVIEW Excellent door service with a smile (from behind the mask). Good portions and quality you're used to. A huge variety though which is impressive! Quick at the door and smooth service from call to pickup. It's our choice for takeout even if it's across town. Above all, nice and respectful!

Don't let the absolute lack of Chinese patrons scare you off. Definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants I've tried in the KW area (although that isn't saying much). Flavours and spice level aren't super strong so it more closely aligns with Western cuisine. Prices are a bit steep but are still reasonable and it's great for larger groups. Overall I recommend a visit.

A cut above other Canadian Chinese food places. The meat is a bit better quality. The vegetables are a bit fresher and cooked perfectly, not the slightest bit overcooked. You can taste the individual flavors in the dish, the garlic, the sesame, the ginger, it isn't just one note "Chinese" flavor. We had delivery ordered around 3:30, staff said 45 mins and it was here in 30. Food was hot as if it came right out of the kitchen at the restaurant. Portion sizes are very generous. I LOVE how instead of little balls for the lemon chicken they use a whole breast breaded and fried. I love the little touch of cinnamon (I think that's what it is!) In the spring roll. It's those little touches that elevate a dish and a restaurant. And I was so impressed by whoever cooked the vegetables, you don't notice how much other places overcook their vegetables until you have perfectly cooked vegetables and the cook on duty today should be darn proud of their vegetables.

Great food. Go early or expect to wait. No carts. You order by filling out a menu. The only downside is that all your food comes at the same time, which means your food can get cool towards the end. Good flavors.....and their are no frills or extras. You get what you get... Don't ask for slight modifications. Cameron Seafood never disappoints for dine-in our take-out. We call ahead, specify the time and the deliciously prepared food is always accurate, hot and ready on time!

Cameron Chinese Restaurant used to be a favourite of ours but we were sorely disappointed with our recent order. While we did enjoy the shrimp rolls and I liked the wonton soup, the rest of the meal was underwhelming. The Cantonese chow mein was very bland, consisting mostly of mushy noodles and a few pieces of tasteless, overcooked seafood, a couple token pieces of chicken, and a couple of pea pods. The sesame walnut shrimp, formerly our all-time favourite dish, was clumpy and unappetizing too. Very disappointing.

I've been going to this restaurant for 23 years with my family. The waiters recognize me and are very friendly every time I go. Recently, the manager has been refusing to serve me if I bring my own lunch container to store my leftovers in. I didn't realize restaurants could refuse service for something so minute. I tried to have a reasonable talk with this manager, but got a very unreasonable, rude response. This used to be my favourite local Chinese restaurant, but I'll have to start looking for options where service is more reasonable. Quite upsetting as this is my family's favourite restaurant.

Take out because I won't share my intel. 1st time here ever - need better variety than my 4 go-to takeouts since apartheid kicked in sept 22 Lemon chicken I saw on an online menu for 8.75 was 12.95 and shows on receipt as (LRG). The fried rice I thought I recalled as 6.95 was 8.95 (after confirming that lemon chicken was ONLY lemon chicken and not a dinner) chicken wrapped in crispy coating when hot but warms to spongy on reheat. What I expected at less than $20 was $26 plus ...way too much for single even if there is enough for 3. Everything is still in plastic while Chalet serves festive special in a cardboard box

The food was the best -bar none!! Amazing flavours, huge portions and everything was ten times better than anywhere else I’ve eaten Chinese food. Turns out I like more items than I thought I did! My only negative comment would be how long it took to get service. A drink, someone to place our order or even greet us. There were two other tables occupied in the whole place (between lunch and dinner time). But once we got our order we were very happy.

Food was delicious as always, but on Christmas Eve they were VERY busy and SO disorganised. Ordered food for 5:00, called at 4:00 to confirm because we had 1 toddler with us (think potty training), waited outside in line to pay until 5:30, food brought out at 6:00. The car beside us waited 45 minutes for food AFTER they paid.

Please update your hours. Severely frustrated I called at 7:30 to order dinner(says you close at 9:30), and was unable to order dinner for my party. I understand you don’t currently do dine in, but one would expect a Chinese restaurant to be open passed 7:30 for takeout on a Saturday night. I unfortunately was unable to place my order for 8 people $150+ . I’d imagine others feel the same.

Ordered dinner for 2 B. The portions were smaller than expected. Was especially disappointed with the sesame chicken, which was not like sesame chicken at all. It was packed in a small spring roll/egg roll type of container with few sesame seeds sprinked on, and sauce on the side. The sauce was not what I expected either, reminded me of lemon sauce. The beef and rice were good. Not worth the price at all. Sad to say but better off going to Mandarin.

It was on e an iconic dim sum place for many members of the East Asian community. Unfortunatly time has changed, and Cameron has not only failed to cat his up, but they have regressed. Mostly good food but the quality has fallen since the original chef left town without notice. The food taste like they are using less fresh ingredients; some of the dimsum taste like they use low quality processed meat or spam. BEN Thanh has better dim sum than Cameron does now. For what it is currently, this place is over priced. They no longer care about quality.

Don't be fooled by the exterior or appearance! This small gem off the Kitchener downtown area is a great place to check out. The staff are friendly, and the food came out quick and hot. Would recommend, and will be visiting again.

Cameron's is our number one choice for Chinese in KW. We usually do takeout with friends at home and have been ordering from them for well over 10 years. Food quality and freshness are top tier. Sesame Walnut Shrimp is outstanding, which we order every time. I am a decent home cook and have not come even close to replicating the secret of that dish after a dozen failed attempts.
