This is by far my favourite pet store for my furry baby. Nice location, very clean and organized inside of the store. It has a nice selection of quality food for your pet. I was 5 days out from having major surgery and had to stop by for some items for my dogs. At the counter I suddenly didn't feel well and almost collapsed. The staff grabbed me a stool to sit on and allowed me to stay until I felt better. All the while making sure I was ok and telling me to take my time till I felt better. Super great spot, good selection. Slightly larger than average location. My dog just about has a stroke every time he notices we pull into the parking lot here. The wafting smells of fresh hide treats and natural dog snacks that flood out from the front isles of this location creates a sort of Bat Signal for dogs all across the city, guiding their noses to its Heavenly gates. It's such a fun place that I once spotted another dog taking refuge in one of the toy bins, refusing to ever leave the store. His owner had to use intense negotiating skills to get him to agree to leave. My dog actually told me that when he grows old and retires he plans on moving to this Pet Value and renting out one of their condominiums, (which I assured him wasn't possible yet he insists he will do so)... 5/5, my dog and I will return.

Great place. Lots of selection for most animals, though the ferret stuff is few and far between. Great staff and the company itself is very responsive. Has a few usual cats that are very friendly too, they always make visits fun. Would be 5 stars but a few months ago we saw a staff member treat one of the regular cats really aggressively when they tried to chew a treat bag. We complained to HR, have not seen her working there since, even if she was fired they should have vetted for someone who obviously did not like animals.

I live in Milton, and will drive to Kitchener for their dog grooming services every month. Yes, they are THAT professional and fantastic with pet grooming. Anne, the Groomer, has the hands of god when it comes to cutting and cleaning your pet. Seriously, I have tried out different groomers and locations; with a very specific breed and cut, Anne never leaves me disappointed. My dog is not a fan of grooming in the first place; she just has this great relationship with him and I don't feel worried at all when dropping off my pooch. Grooming and cuts are done in a very reasonable time; no longer than an hour. The prices are also very reasonable. Every time my dog gets serviced here, he gets compliments for days. The shampoo that they use for dogs, is literally a coconut magical dream that will leave you pet smelling better than ever for at least 3 weeks! The staff is great; super friendly, helpful and approachable. The store is always clean and bright as well. I'll never stop coming to this location for all my pet needs!

Definitely have the most healthiest foods for animals including homemade doggie treats.. I'm pretty sure they said I could try it, IT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR HUMANS TO SNACK ON!! What natural ingredients wouldn't you like to give to your animals that they don't have there that's beneficial to all animals. Lysine chews and pastes.... just about anything you could ask for or find. Super sweet cats for adoption (who free roam, so please watch the doors if you haven't been to a place like this before), cat trees, dog beds, bird stuff, hamster stuff, little fish stuff. My girlfriend & I always enjoy shopping at petvalu over other pet stores, today we were greeted by an employee as we were glancing at their betta fish & told she had told us about their selected few in ICU one in particular has popeye. Now with my background in being a fish hobbiest. I've never encountered popeye before but I have used Ampicillin which is an antibiotic that treats gram positive & negative infections, it also has been used to treat popeye in betta fish & other species as well. So a complete water change in the icu tank with new water & Ampicillin should clear up the popeye. Once every 4 days & that betta fish should be back to normal.

A really lovely store with very friendly staff! We were getting set up for a new cat and the staff were very helpful without being pushy. They never made us feel like we were being pushed to buy something, but they were happy to advise on products when we had questions. In fact, an associate let us know that since we were getting our cat from the Humane Society, we would receive a coupon from them for a discount at Pet Valu. I love that they’re offering that incentive to adopt shelter cats!
