Very unorganized with orders, not much communication between staff on what is going on with orders, our order has been sold before we were notified it was there, wrong frogs ordered, and can take a few weeks to get what you are looking for, we eventually got our frogs but now a year later experiencing the same issues with another order. Otherwise is a good store!

Been in a few times now.. they never have what you need in stock, Promise it'll be in wensday, and when you return the following wensday they still don't have it. Some of the staff are great to deal with, others act like you are in their way. Their prices on frozen feeders are bonkers. 6.99 for a small frozen rat. Twice the price of anywhere else in the province. You can drive to Carlton place buy 12 for 40$ or pay over 100$ at fin addicts. Ridiculous.

Four pet funerals within a month of buying four adorable mice at Finaddicts! Debbie (the owner) explained that they're not meant for pets - just meals. I used to breed and sell both individual pet mice and orders of 50+ feeder mice (they're all the same) and never experienced such fatality. My 3 little girls were heartbroken. The hired staff were wonderful when I called in - apologetic and offered a full refund. Debbie stepped in - now just store credit, if I'm lucky, including a threat to not even do that if I didn't accept being cut off and put in my place. I recently discovered Total Aquatics in Napanee. Their mice cost less, are very healthy and I'm happy to say my females are now all pregnant as hoped. The owner there was so nice to me and her animals cost quite a bit less too! I've been buying my feeder mice from Finaddicts since April 2005 but not anymore. Sorry to the staff - you've been good to me over the years. This is my first Google review - hope it was helpful to anyone looking to breed their own or just find some cute, healthy pets.

Everything I've purchased there has lived and thrived without issue whereas the fish I've bought elsewhere (ie. PetSmart) have died within a week. I love shopping here but I wish they had an online store/catalog as the lack of those makes it very hard to try to phone in an order. Edit: I also wish they would treat their animals with more dignity and respect. The poor rats in there barely get clean food and water or stimulation. The poor things just nap there or are climbing over each other. I know it’s the way she goes but when some people come here to look at rats and mourn what they’ve lost, maybe having that one employee of yours loudly shouting about the frozen rats for reptiles he has isn’t the best thing? Just a thought. I sincerely wish they would do an overhaul every week and deep clean everything. It’s always dusty and the cages constantly look messy. Every rat I’ve gotten from here has some sort of issue.. respiratory infection, crippling anxiety.. absolutely awful. Please start treating your animals with more respect. It makes me sad every time I come here.

I went to this store to seeking fish for my new tank. I will say the store was clean and there was a lot of difference things to look at, much more variety than the local pets store, however what they can't make up for is the staff and lack of assistance. I looked around and then asked for some assistance. The lady was very unapproachable. She said she would finish with what she was doing and be right there. 15 minutes later, we again asked her for help where her response was " oh I forgot about you". The information she provided was not helpful at all. She couldn't answer questions about the types of fish, what kinds were good with what we had and what we wanted. Although I liked their variety, I will not shop here again. To make your customers feel like they are a burden is not good service.

Bought 20 koi lost 10 within a few day due to them coming with ick, resulted in a few of my mature fish getting Ill. Had to drain my pond and return my healthy fish to their tank... all and all I lost a substantial amount of time and money and the staff or owners have not tried to do anything outside of compensate some medication for selling me sick fish. I own local and try and support local but I would recommend this store does more to be accountable wheb it comes to the dealings they have with customers. Selling sick or I'll pets is a bad practice and worse to have the customers have to eat the cost. I'm disappointed in my experience to say the least.

I buy all my fish here, out of all the pet stores in Kingston, I go here every time, the staff here do not try to sell you things, they are simply there to help, and help they do! all the best products for reasonable prices and every animal in the building is healthy and happy, they have a large selection of fish, freshwater and saltwater. they also have a large selection of reptiles, amphibians, crabs and birds. my over all experience here is amazing every time. i recommend fin-addicts to anyone who has fish or reptiles. Easily a five star place.

This place has amazing selection for those in the hobby! Both marine and freshwater fish, tanks and tanks of them! Accessories like hardscaping wood and rocks and all your fish needs. They also have a separate section for your fur, feather, and land scale pets, both live animals and all the necessities for them. Definitely worth a trip to Finaddicts to get setup right.

Ok, nothing more. Depending who you talk to you may get contradictory advice. Bought 2 clown fish from them that died 3 weeks later. When I went back I saw several fish that seemed sick. Best practice is to quarantine for sure.

Great store! For anyone looking to get your birds wings clipped they do it there at an awesome price! Called all the vets in town and they suggested a place in Gananoque that was going to charge $80 a bird and Finaddicts charged us $20 a bird no appointment necessary! Great variety of pet supplies as well as all kinds of different pets to choose from that I seen

Would never buy any of the fish since they all seem to have Ick. I asked to hold one of the guinea pigs, only to find out they don’t offer any sort of sanitizer after holding one. Then I watched a family take turns holding the different rodents, again not being told to wash their hands in between. Just a dirty place for the animals to live in. And they aren’t getting the proper care either. Would not go back.

I have always received healthy fish and quality products. If you’re ever looking for anything specific just let them know! They’ll either put an order in or let you know when the best time is (ie I was looking for a specific type of Cory, they usually get them in the fall). I would highly recommend them :)

Store and service is not what it use to be. People who work there don't seem to be happy at all let alone want to serve you. Have to wonder the store to find someone. Then they are rough with fish and don't even talk with you. The store is a mess and product low and not varied. This is not based on a one time but several times visiting the store in the past year. Never again will I buy anything at that store,. I bought 2 society Finches there and 7 days later they are both dead. I phoned to see if they could help me out and they said they had a 5 day policy,. I was bringing them back they are dead. I spent over 90.00 dollars in there that day for food the 2 birds some perches and 2 little dishes for food and water, never ever again. The BEST fish store in Kingston BAR NONE! They have a great variety of freshwater fish ( and saltwater, but I don't keep a saltwater tank) They take very good care of the fish and are very knowledgeable of the species and how well they will or will not interact with other species. They know their hardware too! ask them anything and they will tell you what you NEED to know as opposed to what they want to sell you. They never pressure you to buy anything. great store I buy all my fish here!

They were so nice in this store and helpful. I run a before and after school program and we had just started a fish tank and got a molly who turned out to be pregnant. I had got this fish from another store when I went back for help they just told me I had everything I needed and wouldn't help me at all. This place however took me through all my option to take care of the babies and how to work everything. Best place for fish for sure not to mention better selection and way healthier looking fish.

Dropped 300$ here over the past two days trying to support local during this pandemic. 3 of the 8 fish I purchased died overnight. When I asked if they would replace the fish I was told me that they would not be reimbursed by the breeder. So I am out 45$ on fish that died less then 24 hours after purchase. Not a big fan of this place right now.

Went in to buy chinchilla food but when i got the cash to pay no one was there ,there was only one other customer in the store and was not being help ,after 5 mins i looked for a sraff member ,one saw me and then went into the fish area ,the other staff member was in the office on her phone and didnt see me standing there ,at that point i got annoyed so i left and will be getting my chinchilla supplies elsewhere from now on

I think the staff here are completely awesome. They really know their stuff for fish and other animals that they sell. I work as a pet sitter and they have often given me advice even over the phone when dealing with other peoples fish tanks. They have taken their time explaining things and even told me how to fix a filter rather than buy a new one. The quality of fish is much better than pets mart. The pets mart fish do not seem to be as healthy and die within a few months but I still have a fair few from finaddicts. I have also bought horn worms and crickets and they are always healthy and in good supply. I really would recommend this place as the number one fish store in the area.

Pretty good store, a great fish section more then PetSmart has and better quality, most prices are ok, bird section is ok could be improved. Staff is knowledgeable but need to work on their service, pay better attention to the customers and their needs. Animals are healthy had some ick issues with some of the fish on occasion. would like to see higher quality Bettas! PetSmarts is better there

Went to buy a chinchilla the lady in the back room was very rude and didn't want to help me . So I sent my husband to buy the chinchilla. That what you get for buying pets at a pet store. If I ever go back will never ask for help just hope you know what your looking for. Really wish for more pet stores so I don't have to go back...

They don't take care of their animals and fish very well. The fish tanks were filthy and looking at some of the non fish critters you could tell they are abused. Another pet store out for the money.

Had issues with Raw Dog food and called store explaining the problem and what was found in it. The staff apologized and stated he would be calling the owner and they would get back to me as this should not have happened.. I waited for a return call and when I did not receive one called the store and asked if the owner was available. I was told sorry we just distribute this item and if you have a problem call them. I explained I purchased it from them and he hung up on me.
